Lady Kissa nodded, guessing that it was understandable that she wouldn't have given much hints as to her own origins. It made sense, since that was how she could manage to be an observer by keeping herself vague. Otherwise, the rest he said was of great interest, and she smiled and nodded, "That would be quite nice, thank you! Not much need for the Necropolis to come here anymore after all, as there are no more Ishnar dead to transport from there. This Supmylo Fortress should be quite good if it's on the throne world, as that means we can get the information we need and speak to the people we need as well. Thank you very much, Chesron."

Tarset listened closely, and she understood what Heulyn meant at the start, but did comment on it, "It is indeed true that you will never make a perfect mold for one person out of another, but there are patterns in history. These patterns show certain sorts of people, never carbon copies but with glaring similarities. That is simply a way of history. Still, I sadly understand what you mean after. It is quite a shame to see people treat spirits, which are still people, as tools. We have had such in Anubite history too, but thankfully they never won. So, perhaps in time, we can help you as best we can." Afterwards, she smiled, enjoying the change in conversation. She liked seeing Heulyn being bashful, as she considered it to show her cute side. She did however understand quite well what Heulyn meant. Love could be bittersweet, that was known well by Anubites, a culture who knew quite well the potential separation of death. Still, it didn't get too dark for the Lady-Lord, who quickly grew embarrassed as the tables were turned. Her ears went back and she looked down in fluster, "Uhm, uh... Well, I don't know much about the rituals. I mean, I know a couple things! Just standard courting. Okay, so, here's what I do know, oh goodness... Well, for somebody you like, it's standard to try and approach them with some meaningful gifts. Things they'd personally like, or relate to their family ancestry. It's important to show you actually understand somebody before courting, you see. It doesn't have to be anything major, maybe just giving them a book on a topic they like, just have to show you know more than their body. After that it's a matter of introducing eachother to the households of the other, make sure they know what is going on and can throw in advice or warning. Then, you generally have to try and get approval from the ancestors of both parties before you can get more... Ehm, intimate. After that, it's often nothing so special... And I don't quite know what happens from there, really, since it's more personal. Haven't had the confidence to ask." Before allowing her fur to turn red from the embarrassment of admitting her lack of knowledge on the subject despite being an adult, Tarset tried to turn it around again, "My question now! Uhm, hm... Oh! Have you ever had pets?"

"Indeed, while our connection may not be use the other passages are. So it would be inconvenient to come and go during my work hours." He noted in a whimsical manner before lifting a hand to snap his fingers. flickering into existence behind him was a white door of masterful craftsmanship. Carved into the door was minimalist image of a mountain with a pair of crossing lighting bolts above it. Grabbing the door nob he twist it to open the door. A warm breeze billows out. Letting the anubites go in first before following behind. They would come out into a very large courtyard of marble and gold. Behind them was one of the large marble pillars that they seemly came out of. Beyond that they would see a massive mountain side that span upward to great heights. At the very top they could see a vague outline of a massive building. Back to the front beyond the courtyard steps they would tell that they were on a structure built into the side of this great mountain. For as far as the eye can see was a sea of white clouds. The brilliant sun hanging above in the vast blue sky. "Welcome to Supmylo Fortress folks!" Cherson exclaimed as he follows them out into the courtyard. Shutting the door behind him which remained there. Which suggest that it was already permanent. "Built onto a mountain of the same name it's one of the ten main house fortresses that surrounds the Ishnar capital city in a circle. If I can I direct your gaze to the horizon you can roughly those nine fortresses." True to his word they could see something on the horizon but most were too far away out of focus. But the closest two was a tree with flowing branches that seem to flow endlessly into the sky above. A stone city nestled within its thick branches. Across from the massive tree was a large floating, flat landmass with what looks like a bridge connected to it that goes down through the clouds. Upon it they could see small valleys and idyllic grasslands. "The massive tree is where House Ornorod Welkin reside, Dragsa Fortress. And the flat landmass you can see is owned by House Arvandor. Arahagamakat Fortress. Lovely folk the lot of them. Though if you want my bias opinion I somewhat favor the former due to their high quality beverages." He explained.

Coming to the front of the group he was about to lead them off the courtyard before he notice someone walking by. “Ah, Hepackus!” He called out to a very large individual who came by. Easily towering over twenty feet he was a burly, misshapen humanoid. Dark skin with the texture of bronze to a thick, burly beard made of iron that produces flame from time to time. His eyes were dark pits of smoldering coal. His attire consists of what seems to be blacksmith garb. He made a grunt as he turned his soot covered head to the party, wondering who had called out to him. “Eh? O Chesron it’s you. Don’t see you around much lad.” A deep, gravelly voice bellow out from the giant Welkin. Lumbering over he took notice of the Anubites. “Oh? And who’re these little ‘uns?” He inquired before shrinking in size to only nine feet. Customary in Welkin culture to be around the height of non-Welkin when interacting with them. “These are Anubites friend, the leader of the group is Lady Kissa. Lady Kissa this is Hepackus. The fabled blacksmith of our house.” Chesron then went on to give Hepackus a brief run down. The latter stroking his beard, producing chinking sound as his metal fibers rub against each other. “Ain’t that something. Well, best of luck for the road ahead. With that aside it’s neat to meet ye acquaintance.” Hepackus took a more jolly mood as he extended a stubby hand for a handshake. After if they would have a handshake, Chesron would speak up with a question. “Thinking about it. If it’s no bother for you Hepackus but would it be a bother for you to come with us? It would be beneficial if we could have you help making a gateway for our friends here to use instead of having to go through my passage system.” Hepackus took a moment to think before nodding his head. “Not much of an issue for me lad. My schedule is fairly open this week.”

“Of course, but a better way to put that is that history does not repeat, but rhyme.” She quipped back in a philosophical manner. Friendly banter aside she gave a small smile at the next statement. “I do have hope for Angelarium salvation. It’ll be a long road but I do see a future for them.” Her thoughtful expression broke into light giggling in seeing Tarset getting the taste of her own medicine. Cute to her her fumble with the explanation. While the part regarding the ancestors seem a bit off she was not going to judge given it’s a different culture than what she is used to. She liked the next question as it reminded her for Fou. “That I did! His name was Fou. A cute white squirrel-like creature.” She responded in a carefree manner. “Do you have any pets?”

Lady Kissa watched Chesron closely as he performed the process for creating this doorway, as the methods of such were of immense interest to her. The drawing an image for instance was fascinating, as she wouldn't expect such minimalism out of this process. She did enter first however, to see how it worked. She observed the structure, and gestured for one of her assistants to make a quick sketch. She wasn't as impressed as one might think she would be, and turned her attention away from the fortress quickly, instead giving more interest to the large tree, which she gestured for another Anubite to sketch. More information to bring back, even if Lady Kissa wasn't as enthused as she could be. She nodded to Chesron, "I see, interesting structures. High Quality beverages do sound very nice right now. However, the divide between houses is what is of the most interest to me. So each of you get your own fortresses, seems to be themed after what each house represents, I am guessing?" As she finished this question, she turned her attention to the new arrival. She looked over Hepackus carefully, gauging him while he was rather large, surprised at the size, although that was more quickly solved. The Anubite did indeed take the handshake of the larger man, smiling to him, "A pleasure to meet you as well, Sir Blacksmith. It's an honorable trade you hold. And thank you for helping out. We Anubites hail from Iammelon, and we wish to learn more about the people and society we've accidentally stumbled across. So a gateway would make such an endeavor far easier. I am sure many in Iammelon would love to learn more about this place after all! We Anubites perhaps most of all, but that is our little quirk."

Lady Tarset giggled at the correction, nodding in recognition. She was correct in that slight change in terminology, and so she left that stand as it was right. Besides, she shared that same hope, as it would be quite nice to have Angelarium advance into a bright and prosperous future. Still, Lady Tarset seemed very happy with the idea of Fou the little squirrel, clapping her hands together with a big smile, "Fou! They sound lovely! To answer the question, yes, I have a pet. Her name is Almas, an adorable little kitten with a beautiful set of black fur. She's back at home, so perhaps you'll see her when we arrive! Oh, speaking of which, I think we're getting close."

As Tarset spoke, the shuttle was drawing close to the desert world that was Tombuiorn. From a distance, the planet was just a big sandy ball, but with some looking you could see the central sea and rivers that stemmed from it that housed all of Anubite civilization. The density of the city below made it visible from orbit, although also noticeable was what was in orbit. Many standard stations of civilian purpose, like merchant stations, but the military presence had been ramped up. Anubite guardians were on full alert. Tombuiorn was in its war phase now, though this wouldn't be a problem as Tarset's shuttle was of course going to be granted access without issue.

“Pretty much. We each came from different cultures so it reflects that.” Chesron answered Kissa before noticing his pocket watch vibrating. Picking it up he flip the lid to see something. Giving a click at the tongue as he read a notification. “Bloody, they started a reception early. I have to get back to my post. Hepackus I’m sorry to put this on you bu-” The Welkin held up a hand in understanding. “Nae worry aboot it friend. It's nae far o' a walk for me.” That please the ferryman who gave a smile in return. Putting his pocket watch down he turned to the group. “Apologizes chaps. Work calls. But Hepackus here will escort you to the palace. So have fun!” With a friendly wave he headed back to the doorway.

While he made his exit the blacksmith Welkin practically beamed at Kissa comment. “Ye know how ta make an old Welkin heart swell.” It was clear that he takes a bit of personnel pride in his craftsmanship and appreciates when people acknowledge that. Because he tends to be forgotten in the shadow of the more popular Welkin. “Ye do all seem ta be an interesting lot. We do like having visitors here. Especially in this age.” A thought came to mind as he looks over the Anubites. “Hmm I get tha feeling Chesron has nae been clear with what he told ye. He tends ta be vague when ye dinna ask tha right questions. Nae ta say he's bad person. He has a busy job so he tends ta give satisfying enough answers.” Chesron is the sort to set his priority on his job so Hepackus knew he was happy to get an alert. Like himself Chesron takes joy in helping the departed across the river. “Lucky for ye I’m a frank Welkin.” He stated happily before he began stroking his metallic beard. The friction produces tiny sparks around his hand.

“Ta give a basic run down. Both tha ishnar an' welkin came from another universe, Auinozoaun. We welkin were formed from a exotic substance that covered tha universe like a yolk, atziluth. As Chesron said we appeared all throughout tha universe an' for a long time never met each other. But as life advances an' attains interstellar travel, just as carbon an' silicon species start meeting each other so did tha Welkin. Fast forwarding many years tha ten houses were formed by Aoanno. For a while everything was hunky dory. Till one day Tiamat committed tha worse, profane acts imaginable. She waged an omnicidal cleansing on tha entire Ishnar domain, which had spanned countless systems. Given tha nature o' how large space it, by tha time anfauglir call for aid reached us an' our response. It was too late. Anfauglir was defending a few billion amziels left alive against tha rouge welkin. As we joined tha battlefield, Aoanno finally took notice. Making an escape route into this universe for them ta seek refuge into. When Anfauglir an' Ishnar made their exodus tha nine remaining houses all fought Tiamat an' her army ta give them time ta flee. Eventually thanks ta some heroics an' ingenuity we manage ta push back enough to surround Tiamat. We 'en manage ta bring her down an' took her ta trail. I heard Aoanno showed up in some sort o' avatar ta strip Tiamat o' her power an' turned her into a carbon based lifeform, a amziel. Exiling her ta wander tha universe forever each o' tha houses went back ta their part o' tha universe because we had our own people ta look over. As time went on an' species die out we eventually make our way over here ta join Anfauglir. I believe house Arvandor was tha last ta come over. Leaving very near tha end o' tha universe 'life' span. Anyhow, with this in mind while we like having people over. We've come ta a agreement that we won't spread our influence too much out o' respect for this universe 'greater beings.' it's why ye see all these fortresses together in tha same space an' dimension. Thinking aboot it, it's why Chesron be so worried aboot tha connection ta this Angelarium place because it has now brought us into tha limelight sort ta speak. So depending on how things go when we talk ta tha Ishnar folk it's likely we will aim ta have as little influence in your galaxy as much as possible ta maintain balance an' what nae. But again, we have open borders for visitors such as yourself. So ye have nae worries o' nae being able ta come over here."

From the window she could see the planet great lake and all the major rivers sprawling from it. She could even make out the islands that sit in the center of the lake. Around the lake and rivers she could also see the vast expanse of sand that was no doubt the Tombuiorn wastes. While she may been looking out the window she heard everything Tarset said. Looking back to her with a carefree smile. "Aww I do like the sound of Almas!" No longer what she been through she'll always enjoy cute things.

Kissa waved Chesron farewell as he departed, "Good fortune to you, ferryman! Hopefully we can meet again under casual circumstances, and preferably not on your business hours!" With that said, she turned her attention fully to Hepackus, whom she smiled and nodded to. She was happy for a change in pace, to be truth, as she did like frank and clear folk. They made her own job much easier, and she was quite appreciative of blacksmiths as shown previously, not to mention she could tell that Chesron was very much the sort who preferred to be working instead of answering what he likely considered the questions of over-qualified tourists. Thus, she was rather fine with this new arrangement, "I am glad to hear that then, Hepackus! I shall endeavor to be a good guest. Probably makes sense for Chesron to return to his work, but I am glad that you are here to fill in. I will be honest in that I do enjoy more frank answers to questions, so that is much appreciated."

The Anubite gave another subtle nod to one of her assistants, so they could take notes on the key parts of that little summary. Particularly on Tiamat, as that was a story of relevance given that Tiamat was still active on Angelarium, so it was handy having this additional information just in case. Though it was certainly notable what he mentioned at the end, and she was inclined to agree. As a spirit mystic, she knew very much the importance of Universal Balance, and there were some very bad Universal Entities to get the attention of. Regardless, she nodded, "I see now why Tiamat was so concerning. She is still alive, and mortal as far as I know, but I believe Iammelon shall be keeping an eye on her from here on. Given that what happened on Angelarium doesn't sound too different from her previous actions, albeit on a much smaller scale, just one planet. So thank you for the warning. I do appreciate however the dedication to balance, quite an important thing that is, and of course those open borders are quite nice. Still, that does bring up the matter of creating a stable mode of transport. I don't think going through Chesron's area each time is quite the most effective method."

As they came closer and closer, the surface of Tombuiorn gained more and more detail. One could start to make out the massive Pyramids that served as archives, libraries, and data repositories, the specifics of which depended on their age and time of construction, as some were incredibly old and others only somewhat old. In addition to those were glimmering palaces, mighty fortresses, and the many, many residential buildings of the Linear City. The shuttle itself was coming down into a large starport along one of the major rivers, one reserved for those of importance to the Anubite Empire. Tarset got up as the shuttle settled down, smiling to Heulyn, "We're here! Perhaps you can see Almas soon! She's a great kitty, I'm sure you'll like her. Now, let's get going. The Suerankh family Fortress-Palace is right this way!" With that, she got up to start walking through the streets. Notably, a guard detachment was already here to follow behind, and clear the roads for the Lady-Lord's convenience. Heulyn not included, given that she was now Tarset's guest. Still, as they were walking, she looked to Heulyn, "So, is the planet what you expected? Hopefully not too underwhelming."

"My my Lady Kissa, that sounded like your asking me out to a date." Chesron made one last friendly joke before heading through the door. The blacksmith gave a brief, deep chuckle to the exchange. "Hah, That meant he wou' like it. He does nae have many ta talk ta in his aff times." He pointed out to Kissa. Welkin are very busy folk and for those who govern over the dead, tend to be more lonely in that affair. He gave a louder chuckle at Kissa preference. "Ye be in luck 'en. In general, many Welkin can be a bit fickle an' elusive. So if ye keep your wits aboot ye 'en ye'll do fine with us." He explained to address of the nature of his kin. Mostly about his family in peculiar but it can be applied to the other pantheons.

Hearing about the activities on Angelarium bearing similarities to the past made his pout in concern. "Aye. Chesron concern be all tha more valid. If what ye say be correct, 'en Qnfauglir will nae be pleased. A rouge welkin from their house be a great black mark on their history that have never went away. Ishnar, tha welkin one be tha ruler o' tha house an' clearly she's what tha amzielean named their society after. She's tha one ta have given her mercy for tha second time, one being long 'afore that. If she were ta learn that her mercy may have indirectly cause whatever death by letting her live. By Juter's blood, she'll be livid. Ye dinna ever want ta wish ta ever see a welkin divine wrath." After all he had been a witness to many temperamental outbursts from many Welkins. The destruction they can bring. Hepackus almost shudders at the thought. This makes it all the more pressing to get at much information before Ishnar and her kin learns about it. It's never a good idea to barge into a place they know nothing about. Potential wrath of the welkin aside he spared a thought for Kissa question. "Hrm that it be. Transportation takes many forms. Tha first major thing be ta know how heavy tha traffic it will be, where it'll be, an' who'll be using it. Tha second major thing be tha energy source. As ye know everything gives aff some sort o' energy nae matter how small. So it has ta be something that does nae attract attention all that much, both mundane an' universal. Third major thing be materials but i have that handled." It was clear that Hepackus is in his natural element which is no surprise considering his domain of influence.

The first thing that hit her when she came out of the shuttle was the air. She can practically feel the heat around her body and the dry air that she breathe in. It been so long since she been to a similar environment that she almost forgotten what it felt like. Beside the lack of humidity she very much enjoyed being in a exotic area. Everything felt so vibrant and exciting. "Oh! Don't worry at all. I'm enjoying it so far!" She reassure Tarset in a lively manner. Being in a new place seem to be just what she needed to distract her from Angelarium.

Lady Kissa gave an amused smirk at that interpretation of her farewell, but she was happy they could depart in good spirits. Pun intended. Still, she took the advice about Welkin, and she supposed that fit to those who fashioned themselves after Gods in a way, as observers as well. Made sense they were generally allusive, as well as fickle. But what was very interesting was the origin of the name "Ishnar", and how she was the head of the house Tiamat had been thrown out of, "Well her mercy did see a fair few of the folk on Angelarium dead, and the planet remade. I am unsure of what Tiamat is doing now, but I do know she isn't dead, which may mean she'll have to hear about it regardless. Just in case for the safety of the Amziel and Angelarium." She then thought about the requirements for making some transportations, and she nodded, "Won't be heavy traffic, we'll probably keep it under heavy control. Just small parties like my own. Now, as for the energy source, could generally some of the more powerful generators, but what sort of power sources do you normally use? This way we can try and find something similar and fitting to it that can be reliably acquired."

Tarset was very happy to see that Heulyn had been effectively distracted from the concerns back home, as that was the goal of coming her. Not to mention it was nice to see somebody enjoying her homeworld and what it had to offer. They continued to walk through the streets, passing through into what was rather clearly a section of the city set aside for nobility, like a gated community but far more pompous and well protected. There were multiple luxury homes and even palaces here, as well as what were just clearly a few forts. This area was ruled by the Suerankh family, so the people who lived here were all connected to the family. But, as one might expect, the family kept the best for itself. The largest building was a massive sandstone-looking fortress, though it was also a palace. The Suerankh Fortress-Palace, the center of the family's power. Tarset moved up towards the main gate, which opened for the family leader rather quickly, leading into a magnificent hall. The Lady-Lord's attention however did not fall on the great carpet, glittering lights, or many decorative statues, it instead fell on one creature lounging on a side-couch. Laying atop the couch was a large black cat, just there, with guards keeping an eye on it but keeping their distance. Tarset meanwhile clapped her hands and spoke out in happiness, "Almas! I'm home!" She ran over and hugged the big feline, who was drowsy but did turn over a bit to receive some affection. After that, Tarset looked back to Heulyn, "This is Almas! I raised her from being a kitten!"

"That it be. In a way it's sorta like tha 'want o' a nail' philosophy. If she did nae choose ta be merciful. Than we wou' nae be talking ta each other wou' we? it's a harsh feeling for decisions ta haunt ye. But I believe Lady Ishnar be wise enough ta see te light in that. In fact that be what she wou' probably be mad aboot tha most." That and she knows she can't be as impulsive like in their former home universe. They have to play by different rules and regulations now. Much to the dismay of many disgruntled Welkin. When the conversation shifted over to the second train of thought he gave a nod in agreement. "No debate there. We hardly even know each other after all. There will certinally be heavy control for awhile. At least till we have a good understanding of each other. Now as for resources. Lucky for you we have come to rely on more 'natural' resources in this universe for we have somewhat relied too much on 'magical/cosmiclogical' elements in our former home. So we have started to truly research into fields such as pataphysics, metaphysics, quantum physics, and ect. Chesron road network for instance is something that I and other Welkin builders made. To give a big oversimplification. The way it works is that you make a frame then alter the interior quantum state in a way to produce a 'wormhole' like effect in the space of the frame. Energy use is very low which is why that doorway is still active. The hard part is producing energy to manipulate the state in the frame. To which we use stellar energy. So nothing too exotic for you I reckon."

Heulyn was pleasantly amused by the reveal of Almas. In a way he reminded her of Wehem-Mesu, a pet Sphinx that she was gifted from a close Servant. "Aww he's as cute as you described!" She exclaimed in a gleeful tone as she came over to give affections to the big feline.

Lady Kissa nodded in regards to that, as she did understand that in a way the mercy allowed this situation at all, but of course it was likely going to be something for Ishnar's guilty conscious for quite a while onwards. After all, it likely wouldn't be pleasant to hear somebody you spared went on to try and kill another planet, it's like sparing a murderer only for them to instantly go out and try their hands at the trade once more. Or, not "like" at all, that was effectively what had just happened, "Yes, it is true that it allowed these events to happen, but this is quite the regrettable cause. The death of a planet and near destruction of a large population is hardly the most settling of things. So a little guilt does make quite a bit of sense. Still, if she's as angry as you say she may be, perhaps I shouldn't be the one to break the news." Then she smiled, as Kissa was pleased to hear that it wouldn't be so difficult, "Indeed, seems we have similar protocols for these sorts of events. That makes things convenient. And interesting, I don't quite get the technology myself but I'm sure some of the more technologically inclined Anubites would. So I'll pass that on to them. In the meanwhile I'm sure we can acquire such energy, wouldn't be hard to do if we put the station near a star for instance. So that should be quite good."

Almas graciously accepted the additional attention, being the gracious cat that she was. Lady Tarset meanwhile was very happy to see Heulyn agree with her assessment on cuteness, as for some reason not everyone seemed to agree that Almas was adorable. Her guards in particular, who were concerned with letting the big and deadly cat near the Lady-Lord, but ultimately no harm had ever really come from the feline. It was, in truth, a rather passive beast, more concerned with naps than it was snacks, and of course getting loving attention was always nice. Tarset stroked the head of Almas, who was purring lightly, and spoke to Heulyn, "Glad you like her! She's a great companion of mine, very trustworthy. Shame not everyone sees that, but this I suppose is one perk of being in charge of the family, I get to keep her and nobody can say otherwise. Except the High Lord, but he's not so nosy. Sethus keeps to himself more than anything, really. He's a good person however, and a good leader. You should meet him sometime, as if there is anybody who can help with that Servant matter, it's him! Though he might not be so happy to hear about their common treatment... Anyways, I should probably show you where your new quarters are. They're in the east wing, where all the bedrooms are located. Come on Almas, let's walk!" Tarset moved to start walking through the halls towards the housing area, with Almas lazily getting off the couch in order to follow her. The cat did give Heulyn a lick across the face however, seeming to take well to the Amziel, and deciding that she would not be a snack.

“Nae one ever be.” He added in solemn agreement. Who could possibly be worthy to be the bearer of bad news. Truth it, there’s not. “All tha gloom aside. Unless we run into her at tha palace ye don’t have ta worry aboot talking ta her. That can be done in another time.” Such as in a place with no non-Welkin present. Non-energy based lifeforms are very easy to break and very hard to repair by normal means. He gave a short laugh at hearing that the science goes over Kissa. “Nae offense taken. Hard science be a niche concept after all. But if ye be interested in tha more mystical side o' things i can show ye around me main forge ta get a taste o' welkin mystechnological engineering. Our house style that be, while similar each house have a different spin on their craftsmanship.” He does have a feeling that the Anubites would want to explore more. They don’t seem like the sort of folk to just settle for a trip to the capital city, having a nice chat, and calling it a day. “Anyhow if ye wish we can get going. There's a taxi near here that can take us down ta tha city.” He brought up knowing that was an important priority for the Anubites. If agreed he would proceed to lead them out of the courtyard to a wide marble pathway that snakes around the mountain. They could see that the mountain was very wide. Below they could see the peerless rooftops of entire towns sitting on the smaller peaks.

During their jaunt they would cross by other Welkin who were out and about. All different sizes, shapes, and even their smell is different. Some had given them a curious glance to the new visitors but none had stop to give a closer look. All except for one Welkin who has strode by. Despite her towering size she had the frame of an underdeveloped young girl. Her white skin held a silvery sheen to it. Swaying behind her was an extremely long, wispy white tail. Her limbs were long and slender that felt they were made for running on all four of them. Her fluffy white mane flowed down her toned back. Her face bore the features of both a young girl and a wolf. Silver eyes radiating power could be felt directed at the group from behind them. “Mm?” Hepakus was the first to sense the onlooker. Turning to see the lithe Welkin had stopped in her tracks and turned to face them. “Alires, may we help ye?” He spoke caustionouly. Mentally reaching into the core of the mountain as per standard procedure of a situation where there might be danger for non-Welkin. He had built this mountain from the ground up, so every Welkin knows that fighting in his presence with who knows how many tricks up his gloves is folly. But as time will tell that did not stop people from trying.

“I smell blood on one of our guests.” Her voice chime with both elegance and composure. Hepackus gave a frown at the bizarre accusation. “It’s rather beneath you to divulge into someone you don’t know.” He responded snidely. Despite his bulky frame the Anubite may be a bit surprised of how swift he got to the other side of them. “Don’t patronize me.” She bluntly snap at her brethren. “I know that scent. I smelled it before. So long ago I don’t even remember whose heart pumped it.” That rose a brow on Hepackus face. If what she says is true than there is little to argue it. The nose of the Welkin of the Hunt never once failed in her life. That what makes this all the more confounding to him. “Tiamat?” He guessed to which she gave a scowl in distaste. “I couldn't care less about that poor fool. No. This is someone who somehow I know.”

It would certainly be awkward to explain the FATE system to High Lord Sethus. For when it comes to spirits she has a gut feeling that one wrong word can give a bad impression on Angelarium. So until that confrontation all she can do is mentally prepare herself to engage with another prestigious individual after so long. It takes a certain amount of willpower to have a calm composure around powerful people. Tarset was easy to connect with due to being young like her and not having much experience in life. Appreciating the lick from the feline she got up to follow Tarset and Almas. Taking the moment to selfishly indulge in excitement of seeing where she’ll be residing for the course of her stay. While by no means is she the sort to enjoy the high life she had come to appreciate the privilege of experiencing them. Along their sort walk she took the time to really look around the interior of the place. Enjoying the architectural design and the detor.

Lady Kissa was pleased to hear about the taxi, it was nice to hear they could get moving to the city nice and quick. He was quite right she was interested in the city, as of course Anubites weren't the sort to enjoy just mere word of mouth, they liked seeing things. Plus, she was a little tired of walking at this point, and she would like to just sit for a bit and take a nice look around at civilization. The onlooker, which Kissa surmised was Alires, interrupted the Anubite's train of thought. She took a look at this wolf-girl, and prepared her own abilities. Kissa was no pushover herself, and she had some of her own hidden tricks for attackers. She was unsure if she could take on a Welkin, but was quite sure they weren't too far above her. Still, she actually amused at blood being smelled on her, since that was something unique, "I spend a lot of time in tombs with the dead, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least some smell of death on me. Which applies to many you'd might have known so long ago you'd not remember. However, I'll stick to the living. Perhaps you know some of the Amziel I've met with on Angelarium? Got any names coming to mind with that said?"

Tarset, with Almas following, moved into the residential wing of the Palace, which was a rather extensive location. There were a number of bedrooms here, but they didn't really take on a uniform fashion. Each seemed to have been custom designed, likely for each family member. Some were large fancy rooms with large beds, heavy decor, and more. Others were far more minimalist, resembling workplaces more than anything. Each thus gave an idea of the personality of the occupant. Towards the back of the wing were the guest rooms however, which were far more standardized. Though they were still quite fancy. Spacious, with large beds, dressers, a nice desk and chair, and a private bathroom. Tarset entered and gestured around, "Here we are! This guest room will be yours as long as you stay. If you want to add anything, just say so! We can easily accommodate anything else you may need. I want you to be as comfortable as possible after all!" In the meanwhile, Almas helped herself to the bed, leaping up on it and testing the comfy levels. She seemed to be satisfied, settling in, though even this large feline was not big enough to take up the whole bed.

By this time, Alires has shrunk to be around the same height at the rest of the group. Only towering a few inches above them now. "Cell necrosis produces a different stench. Which all of you share but I don't care for that. No, it's faint. A given due to basic hygiene. But it's still there. Rich, plenty of iron, with bit of a smoky aftertaste." She listed as she looks over the Anubite before her. "Female."

"Be ye accusing her o' something?" The blacksmith butt in the conversation with a suspicious look on his face. To which the huntress give a minor glare in his direction.

"Why would I care what our guest done? It's not like either of us are shining beacons of morality." Her rebuttal was more cold than she meant to but it got the message across. "If it did not smelled familiar I would not have cared. But it does. And it would have bothered me all day if I had just kept walking." With that stated she look over to the Anubite once more. "The world you speak of gives me no emotion. So I can't say I know of it."

The space was warm and cozy. Nothing too fancy which she liked. She's a minimalist and rather spartan when it comes to living quarters. Such is evident with how small her bag is over her shoulder. Few articles of clothing, items for hygiene, and a newly made phone that her doctor bought for her. Even back then she did not have much aside for a few bookshelves of books to which she studied with. Thinking of which. After setting her bag on the dresser she went over to the bed. Sitting on it she scooch up to the feline and gave him attention with a hand while she look over to Tarset. "It's beautiful! Thank you Tarset. And well, I suppose I do request for a bookshelf. Gives me space to book study material on it." By no means was she a hard worker like her old friend. But when you have been surronded by the most prestigious intellectuals you ever met. You tend to get some form of appreciation for the scholarly world. That and she has grown to enjoy learning about mythology from all cultures.

Lady Kissa was getting rather interested in whoever Alires was sniffing off her, now that she knew they were apparently not dead. That certainly limited the amount of potential options, though just knowing they were female wasn't too helpful. That still left half the population of Angelarium. She crossed her arms as she considered it, and decided to think aloud, "Surprising you'd smell anybody if you've never been to Angelarium, then. But let's see... Solgaleo perhaps? Does that name remind you of anybody? Can't think of anybody else so relevant besides Juliette, who I don't think you'd know. Or perhaps you're smelling something, and mistaking it for something it isn't. I highly doubt you'd know anybody like Heulyn, for instance! So, perhaps you are quite mistaken."

It was indeed a rather simple room, and thus fitting to Heulyn. Which was perhaps intentional on Tarset's part, though she had some other reasons. Still, the Lady-Lord was pleased to hear that Heulyn approved, clapping her hands together and smiling, "Glad you like it! And of course, some bookshelves should be easy enough to get moved in here. We have plenty of bookshelves, after all. It's a fairly accurate stereotype for Anubites, we do have a lot of books! I'll have some useful books included as well, some good readings that I think will be helpful or are just interesting! If there's anything else, just tell! Now, you can leave your things here if you'd like! But I do want to show you one more thing." She walked out into the halls again, and then gestured down towards the end of the hall. There was a larger door there, with four guards, two on each side of the door. This door was far more ornate than the others, and was clearly rather important, as Tarset would elaborate on, "That's my room! It's nice and close by, just in case you ever need anything! I put you in one of the closest guest rooms for just that. Don't be surprised if Almas comes to visit occasionally though."

The huntress was about to speak again before boisterous voice called out to the group. Streaking down in a streak of light another Welkin instantly appeared beside Alires. A arm suddenly flung around her shoulders much to her sudden annoyance. "Is there a little scuffle going on here? It takes a brother to know when his sister is misbehaving." young, melodic voice came from the seemingly male Welkin. His lower body was protected with intricate gold plates while his upper body was bare. Showing off flesh that seem to be carved from sunstone. Where a head would be, instead, there is a burning star. An almost featureless male head burns within the corona. "My my sis don't you know to be nice to the guests?" He teased his sister as he lightly tug on her.

"Roll over and rot." She snarled in response to the rowdiness that her brother is giving. He placed a hand on his chest in mock offense. As the huntress tries to get out of his hold he turn his head to Hepackus.

"Hey sib, want me to get her out of your guys hair?" He ask in a singsong manner to which the blacksmith simply replies.

"Please do."

"Don't you d-" Her promise of certain death was cut short when the fiery Welkin loop his other arm around her waist before shooting upwards into the sky in a brilliant display of light. The streak of light zip around before looping out of view higher up the mountain. Seeing the pair out of the picture, Hepackus gave a sigh.

"That was Aellos her brother. While i had wish for a better example for ye but they be a fine representation o' our dysfunctional family dynamic." He stated in a simple manner. To him he gotten so used to how his family behaves that he can't be bothered to care about it anymore. Now this mostly originate from his disdain for his mother but generally he likes to keep to himself in his forge. This is not to say he looks to any of his sibling in a negative light. Merely that he became indifferent to their erratic mannerism.

"Apologizes again. Come along, let's get ye to te taxi." With that said he would lead them to a taxi port. The vessels were sleek and white, in a boat-like shape. Four bulbous mass were seen beneath. Within them were small engines that eject dark matter to produce anti-gravity effect to the craft. It held enough room for all of them and more. Getting upon it he would wait when everyone is on board turning on the motor at the back of the craft to start it off. They would notice there was no inertia as it sail off across the air.

Breaking through the cloud layer they would be greeted by the sight of a great lake with a visible colorful barrier reef under the waves. At the center of the lake was a very large landmass which they would see a grand city is located upon it. Towering white buildings that visibly show many elements of being an Eco-friendly city. "There she be. Nth city. Jewel o' tha entire ishnar race."

It was nice to hear that she was close by. That was a comforting fact for her. Hearing about Almas put a smile on her face. "I'll look forward to those moments!" She giggly respond. Enjoying the prospect of having a fluffy partner to cuddle with. Fou sadly had learned to evade her vicegrips after two of her attempts to snuggle him to death. Ah this was nice. She feels more airy and free than she had for a long while. In a new place she felt she was far away from her home. Like a sweet dream that she is thankful that it's real. "Hmm well..." She cocks her head in a playful manner. "Aren't you going to bring me in to look around?" It was a light tease but she can't deny that she was interested to seeing what her room looked like.

Lady Kissa was rather amused by this Aellos, and quite happy he got his supposed sister out of the way. She felt the Huntress likely would've delayed them for quite a while if she went uninterrupted, and that would've stopped her from getting what she needed! So she smiled and nodded to the Blacksmith Welkin, "I understand. Anubites have large families, and siblings and cousins like that are not exactly uncommon in our lives! I have a few myself, so I'm used to it. But glad it won't get in the way too long. Let us continue." With that, she followed him onto the taxi port, which she found pleasant. She liked the aesthetic, and she found it a nice way to get to the city. As for the city itself, she started making some notes and basic sketches into a notebook, smiling, "It's a nice city, and certainly fitting as a capital and center of culture. Certainly among the prettier cities I've ever seen! So, what's a good place to visit first within it?"

Tarset was happy Heulyn seemed to not mind her cat moving about. Almas, being the large feline she was, was certainly far more resistant to death hugging than most, and she had experience due to her owner being just as affectionate, though she'd enjoy the ability to alternate beds without issue. Then the Lady-Lord got a bit embarrassed at the light tease, but she did nod, "Very well! I can show you. Alright, open up guards!" The door guards nodded, and had the gates opened to Tarset's room. The room was of course rather large, as was fitting of a Great Family's leader, though not as fancy as one might then expect in terms of contents. At the far back of the room was the bed, very large but strangely plain in design. The cushions were comfy but weren't even as decorated as the pillows on Heulyn's guest bed. The floor was covered in a rather nice carpet, which felt good to walk on, but it was simply designed in a rather simple pattern of red, gold, and white stripes. The largest thing in the room was certainly the wardrobes, which each had in them all the bits of ceremonial attire Lady Tarset required, as well as some things she would prefer to wear more often. Heulyn could notice multiple suits of the ceremonial armor she would wear to official Lord business, alongside fancy dresses. But while the wardrobe was the biggest individual piece of furniture, the walls were lined with moderately sized bookshelves containing a great trove of books, as well as one large and certainly powerful desktop computer. The computer, while almost certainly high grade, was itself also rather plain, like what one might expect in an office. Really the most fancy thing of the room was the chandler hanging from the ceiling, which was made of gold and instead of using fire it had magical orbs projecting light, keeping the room illuminated, while also being able to turn off when the Lady-Lord wished it. Tarset walked inside, going into the center and gesturing around, "Well, this is it. Hopefully it's not too underwhelming. I'm not the most invested in being fancy in my private life, as I like to leave the effort of keeping up appearances to my public life."

Hepackus was glad to hear that the Anubite understood the pain of large families. Making their way to the city he gave a smile as well. "That she be. Tha Ishnar take pride in 'living cities'. Even rural towns have been built alongside nature. Spiritual lot they be. Their culture be deeply rooted in mysticism that even survived tha transition into interstellar age. Now, as for our first desintiation that wou' tha administrative building. Torihpes Towers. That be where tha patriarch/matriarch resides ta run tha nation. They be officially regarded as tha Immaculate One but it had proven ta be quite a mouthful so it's generally only used for more ceremonial affairs." He explain to the Anubite. A few minutes later the craft glide down to a small hanging port for taxi. Going down a flight of stairs they came onto a wide open walkway that leads up to the towers before them. Of course they were not the only ones frolicking about. Passing by they could see Ishnar Amizelean clothed in colorful yet simplistic attire. They posses racial differences as expected with countless years of evolution. Skin possessing some nature of bioluminescence due to their unnatural sheen. Their iris constantly change hue. Hair was more lush, vibrant, and colorful. Some gave a look to their direction, some even called out to say hello to Hepackus. Coming to automatic glass doors they went inside the towering building. Heading into what seem to be the reception area. The interior was very open and bright with blue/green being the major colors in the design. There was also natural light inside due to how the outside glass work.

"Lord Hepackus it's nice to see you!" A young voice was heard at the front desk where a more formally dressed Ishnar is sitting behind. "Good ta see ye as well miss Saeniel." The welkin politely responded. Coming up to the low, glass desk she acknowledge the other guests. "Ah I suppose you have guests for the Matriarch?" She inquires to which the welkin gave a nod to. "That they be. I was hoping if she be open for a chat."

"Of course! She has nothing scheduled for the next few hours so she's all free for you guys! I'll send her a message to let her know you're coming." With that said the energetic Ishnar sent off a digital message. Meanwhile the welkin turn to the group. "Looks like we can go in right away. Want ta know anything 'afore we head on up?"

'Is that so.' She gave a thought of skepticism but still held a lively expression. "It looks nice! I'm excited to do to fun girl stuff with you later on!" It has been a long time since she had socialization of people her age. Sure she had female Servants but they were all more grandiose than her boring self. Boring people don't go to the Throne of Hero's. They all have amazing stories and legends of wonder. While her life up to that point was living in her family orphanage due to being disowned. It would be fun to teach Tarset fun things to do like making pillow forts or sharing ghost stories. She took that last thought back when she remembered that ghosts were very much a a part of Anubite culture.

Lady Kissa took mental note of that, nodding her head, "I see! Anubites are rather mystical, and we have plenty of holdovers ourselves. Although more in line with spirits and tradition instead of nature. Although I suppose Ialao are quite like that, maybe I'll have to look for similarities between the two of you if you're aiming to grow in harmony with nature. Should be interesting to see what's there. And interesting, I'll make sure to refer to them then as Matriarch or Patriarch then unless the situation is so formal as to desire the use of the more mouthy title." She then took to taking actual notes on what she saw in the city in her notebook, particularly in the difference of the Amziel here, as those differences were of particular interest to Anubites, seeing how the same race evolves in different cultures and environments was always fascinating to them. The building was of note as well, but as with the Welkin Lady Kissa ultimately had more interest in the people over the architecture. That was why she took rather quick interest in the new arrival, bowing her head in greeting and responding with a smile, "A pleasure to meet you, miss Saeniel. Thank you for making that a bit easier, but I do have some questions! First, about you! What's your role here? Second, are there any protocols to meeting the Matriarch? Any sort of phrases or courtesies that are expected, things like that. Third! Can you tell us a bit about the Matriarch? I'll reserve the rest of my questions until later, since I don't want to delay too long if you've already sent the heads up."

It was fairly obvious that Lady Tarset didn't realize some of the true extents of bonuses her life and position afforded her, and so while something could be humble to her, it was pretty obvious to non-nobles that it wasn't very humble at all. But at least the lass seemed to be trying. Still, Heulyn seemed to have gotten her attention, and she clapped her hands together in happiness, "Oh that would be wonderful! I never got much of a chance to do that in my life! Wasn't allowed by my parents, sadly. But I'm happy to do it now! It's a great time to try something out, after all. Speaking of which, what should we do now? Could try some of the girl stuff, or we could go and visit Ipwet. I do have to tell her I have returned, after all!" Then, a little beep came from Tarset's comm unit, which she soon took out to look at, smiling, "Oh! She's actually coming. Guess I should have expected she would hear of my return. A perfect time for you to meet her!"

Saeniel gave a smile to the lively guest. Seemly happy in having such a curios person interested in there customs. "It pleases me greatly to have such a bright soul such as yourself here. To answer the question I serve as her Secretary and personal assistant though I'm not a part of her inner court. Now for the next one. To give a brief overview of administrative history since I feel you are the sort to enjoy that. In the first few iterations of Ishnar society the procedure in meeting with the Immaculate One is quite extensive. To gain a personal audience with them, even if they still remained hidden behind a screen while they sat on their firmament throne, was the highest of honours. There was a slew of customs back then. Being thirty feet away from the throne at all times, kowtowing, never make eye contact, and the sort. Over time when the Ishnar people spread out across the stars the more often the Immaculate One had to meet with people. As such customs and "ceremonial" audience had to be cut back for time efficiency. Now in modern times the formality is much more laxed compared to before. Such as making eye contact, being informal or frank for instance is now tolerable. But respect is still advised. One thing of importance is that for strangers they remain 30 feet away from the throne. If they consider you trustworthy or know you enough you can come up to 20 feet. Those they deem to be friends are the ones to be allowed to be ten feet away. Other than that there's not much to be concern of. The Matriarch herself is very friendly with new people and is all around easygoing. Mm say Lord Hepackus do they know about her bloodline?" She looked to his direction who replied that they know the basic gist of Welkin but not the Matriarch. Nodding she looked back to the Anubite. "Some of the Immaculate One prestigious comes from their bloodline. While incorrect she would be referred to as a 'Demiwelkin'. A child born from a carbon based organism and a Welkin. The Welkin have no DNA so the Welkin blood fades away after a few generations. But those who posses it are born with the ability to perform great things related to who their Welkin parent holds dominion of. If say Lord Hepackus has Demiwelkin children they could have traits like being immune to heat, excel at metallurgy faster than anyone else, and the like. But for the Matriarch case, her entire dynasty goes back countless generations. All the way to the communion between Aoanno and a mortal Amziel. Unlike the Demiwelkin her blood remained in the family line forevermore. A clear sign of her being unique than being a Welkin. As a result everyone who had been born with her blood in their veins have performed miraculous acts and in some cases where someone have been able to earn much favor with the Immaculate One, they have been granted the unfathomable honor of making a wish to the Immaculate One. One wish of whatever they may desire. All in all they are very powerful beings and the Matriarch is no exception."

Her eyes widen a bit in surprise. A bit anxious in meeting another Lady-Lord but it mentally ready nonetheless. For the most part she was eager in meeting this Ipwet. "Sounds great!" She happily exclaimed. Her mood still upbeat so far and she doubt it would tank anytime soon but it was wise to always have a handle on on her emotions regardless. Just imagine a small, tight box that she pushes everything negative into and wrapping it in chains. A smile was still present on her lips as she await the arrival.

Lady Kissa listened closely as her questions were answered, she was indeed pleased to get a bit of history to help provide context to the answers. Not only did it help understanding, she also just enjoyed hearing how things came to be the way they were. She understood the process of cutting down on formalities for the sake of time, which made sense as societies expanded and more and more meetings would be needed. Time was a precious resource. She nodded her head, “30 feet away unless said otherwise, and show respect, got it. Pretty normal set of circumstances. Interesting however, on the bloodline! If that DNA didn’t fade, that’s very interesting indeed. Still, I’ll remember the power. In the meanwhile however, that’s all I needed to know! I’m ready to head in and meet this Immaculate One now, looking forward to it really. I’m quite interested in potentially seeing the Matriarch’s power for myself, as that’s the best way to really get a grasp on them. Witnessing it personally, and all. Thank you for the information however! Should be helpful, and I’ll have to look into these Demiwelkin another time, as I’m sure there’s more to learn in there.”

Tarset smiled and nodded, happy that Heulyn seemed ready to meet her friend. With Almas following, she moved back down the hall way towards the entrance hall, and soon enough they would be able to see the second Lady-Lord. Ipwet had a host of guards with her, but also a few more interesting folk. Anubites wearing purple robes with hoods, wearing black gloves, and wearing silver masks covering their faces. The only thing that showed they were Anubites were their ears, which stuck out. Heulyn would not know, but these were agents of the Amarna family, the eyes and ears of the mighty court family. Always watching, always listening. Lady-Lord Ipwet however was not so secretive, and was easily identifiable. She wore a glorious scarlet flowing dress, and had a smile of great confidence on her face, which remained as she noted the arrival of Heulyn and Tarset. Ipwet walked forward and spoke out, her voice more composed in casual speak than Tarset could manage when she was trying, “Ah, welcome back to the homeword, Tarset! It is a shame your trip did not go very well, but I am happy to have you back here with us in safety. So, will you introduce me to your guest here?”
Tarset smiled and nodded, gesturing towards Heulyn, “Of course! This is Heulyn, an Amziel from Angelarium. She came back with me. Go ahead and say hi, Heulyn!”

"Hehe the Matriarch is not the sort to show off her power on display. She's must more reserved and subtle when it comes to that. But yes there's plenty of interesting things to learn about. Perhaps after the meeting I could offer suggestions on where to visit? Till then I give my warm blessings!" Saeniel made a friendly wave as Hepackus lead the group to a elevator. A small light above the door went through numerous colors. "It's a scanner for anything dangerous. Nae really needed in me opinion but it's standard precaution." Hepackus noted to Kissa before the elevator chimed and slid open. Revealing a glass, cylinder type space with enough room for all them. Heading inside the elevator smoothly went upwards through many floors till it reach the final floor.

The elevator made a second chime once more as it open it doors. Letting them into a vibrant throne room teeming with lush, verdant green. The air was warm much like entering into a greenhouse. Leading from the elevator was a stone pathway. Either side was one big moss bed. A pond with visible exotic fish divides their side from the other side of the room. A flat stone bridge goes over the pond. A white, stylized marker at the middle that seems to indicate the thirty feet mark. It's beyond the bridge that the room comes to life. An elevated throne of tree roots with small waterfalls pouring down around it. Behind it was a towering tree that goes up all the way to the glass dome that they saw as they flew here.

Standing in front of the throne was none other than the Immaculate One. Garbed in a white dress of the most finest quality. Her flesh is much like Ishnar they've seen outside, only a bit more unnaturally smooth with no sign of age or blemish. There was the same nature of bioluminescence as well only it gives off a more ethereal shine than the others. Small veins in her chest and up her neck is visible due to a strange white glow. Akin to some cultures such as the Zantine, she and her predecessors too stand when they meet new guests out of respect.

"Welcome." She began with a warm smile. Her voice soft and regal. "I've heard word of your arrival. It brings me warmth to receive guests such as yourself. My devoted assistant have spoke of good things in her message to me. And dear Hepackus. it's pleasant to see you in good health once more." Said Welkin gave a nod though a orange blush crept up his bronze neck. A bit flustered at being noticed by the Matriarch. "Now given this will be a lengthy discourse. I implore to take a seat." If they accept the bridge will make whirring noise as small rectangular sections rise up. Making several rows of benches for them to use. When they take a seat she too will sit back down in her throne. "You may introduce yourselves."

Heulyn kept fairly quiet with the new group. Only responding when she was prompted to do so. "Hi. Thank you for having me here." Were the only words that been able to come out of her mouth. Typically she's good around governmental figures but given she is still recovering it still makes her anxious. The silver masks, while not the same as other masks she had seen before. Still put her on edge a bit. Constantly reminding herself that she is in no danger here. She gave a friendly smile to the Lady-Lord. In a attempt to hand over the limelight she continued. "Lady-Lord Tarset has been a great host." It's a honest compliment. Tarset has been nothing less than caring and helpful to her so far.

The security scanner was nothing new to Kissa, and she understood fully. It was quite natural to scan for dangerous unseen things when allowing one to meet a leader after all, it was just normal security procedures, and so the Anubite did not mind the colors before entering the elevator. The sight at the end of the elevator was quite pleasing to Kissa, because she found it quite interesting. She was expecting a more cold throne room, but this chamber lush with life was quite nice. Though she supposed it did make sense, as these Ishnar were quite in touch with nature, so one could expect the same from their leadership. Reminded her of the Ialao in that way, ensuring that their leaders did not forget the value of nature by interweaving it into even their court. Though that may have just been the tree, as the tree was certainly very Ialao in its massive fashion. Or at least that's what it reminded her of.

Lady Kissa moved up to the stylized white marker, making sure to keep at the thirty feet mark, bowing her head in greeting. She then smiled at the rising seats, which she accepted gladly, "Thank you for the courtesy, madam Matriarch, it is a great pleasure to meet you in person. I am Lady Kissa of the Anubite Empire, and these three Anubites with me are my assistants. Supposed to be for investigating a tomb, but of course our objective has rather radically changed since we set out. Hepackus and Chesron have been most helpful, as was your assistant Saeniel."

While the Amarna Agents were certainly watching Heulyn closely, they didn't seem to be particularly hostile or tense. It was difficult to see their emotions, but it was almost certainly routine for them to size up any newcomers who may be relevant to their Lady's future schemes and plots. And Heulyn, while no threat, was now in a position she had to be accounted for. So their gaze remained on her, watching her movements and noting her words. Lady-Lord Ipwet meanwhile remained quite openly friendly, her smile maintained as the Amziel spoke, "I am glad you are enjoying the Empire's hospitality! There is nobody better to offer it than Tarset, if I may say. I might be quite good as a host, but Tarset has a certain charm to her, no? Hehe, I am just teasing. I am sure we will be seeing more of eachother, so I do hope we will get along."
That was when Tarset spoke up, a bit excited, "Hey Ipwet! So now that introductions are out the way, I was wondering if I could make a request! Heulyn showed some interest in Anubite Spirit Channeling, and was hoping somebody could show her some of the ropes. And, well... I want to try and learn again!"
That brought a spark to the eyes of the Amarna Lady-Lord, who seemed most pleased by the second part, "Oh, you wish to try and learn again? Excellent! I was waiting for when you would finally ask to learn again! If you believe training alongside Heulyn will help you, then I will happily accommodate that request. I'll partake in the training personally, in fact. Well, me and my ancestors."

"It's always pleasant to hear the Welkin treat new guests with politeness" She spoke in agreement. Her features still soft as she look over the Anubites. "There's no need to give thanks for my hospitality. No matter your creed or ethics, I'll always greet you warmly within our halls." It was unclear whether it was trust or simply that nothing can be a threat towards her. A glance around the room would tell one that there were no visible guards or security defenses in sight. "Lady Kissa of the Anubite Empire. You've obtained my attention and interest. To hear of stories across the unfathomable expanse of space have always excite me since I was young. Ah, how splendid this is. In the spirit of fairness in exchanging information, shall we format our conversation in a series of questions? You ask me something and I'll ask you something in return?" It was a good way to ensure their conversation don't go off the rail too much given she knows that they both have a lot of stories to share.

Letting Tarset carry the conversation she simply nodded when Tarset addressed the fact that she wanted to learn Anubite magic. She did not expect to do it so soon. Having thought she would have a few days to settle in and for the Anubites to get to know her before sharing their magecraft. Amzielean magnus are rather secretive when it comes to showing their arts. Mostly due to their brand of magic relies on the concept of 'Mystery' and so when more people understand a form of magic the weaker it becomes. With that in mind and from what she had read, Anubite mysticism does not rely on that so there's no fear of degradation. It does make her wonder on what sort of 'forces' is involved in this channeling. Amzielean sorcery has the tendency to sound more like hard science than anything 'mystical'. She can already vividly remember the lecture on the 'observed universe'. Which can be oversimplify described as 'time according to cognizance' is the world we live in. According to normal perception, the “past” is always being updated from the “present.” From the present, we observe the “future” that will come eventually. And we can’t perceive these three states simultaneously. There's a lot more complex topics about this such as imaginary number space, highly conceptual existences, the time axis, or even the throne of heroes. If there's one thing that she's confident of is absorbing any new subjects that the Anubite might throw at her.

Lady Kissa did find the lack of visible guards or security to be a bit odd, but she was quite sure that just because it wasn't visible, there was no assurance it wasn't there at all. Plenty of ways to conceal security to maintain the image of regalia. Not to mention, Kissa also know that the Matriarch was no pushover herself, so she was her own security to an extent. Still, that was of little relevance to Kissa, as she wasn't intending to start a fight. The Anubite simply smiled and nodded, quite pleased with that notion, "That sounds quite fair and acceptable, madame Matriarch, I agree with that course of action! I suppose then I shall begin, to get this started. But I would like to start simply, so allow me to make this question. Could you tell me more of the story of this very city, and your involvement in its development? I'm quite interested in your own role and its impact."

It was rather quick, which was why even Ipwet was somewhat surprised to hear the request so quickly. But it did seem that Heulyn that restored Tarset's interest in attempting to learn spirit channeling to such an extent that the younger Lady-Lord was quite excited to get back to learning, leading to this early question. Still, with Lady Ipwet's acceptance, the elder Lady-Lord gestured towards one of the side rooms of the hall. "If we are to start learning, we should establish some basics first. And of course, no where better to do it than a channeling room! Nice, quiet, and well designed for the task. Guards, keep an eye on the door. Nobody enters until I clear it." Her soldiers, as well as the agents, bowed their heads in acknowledgement of the order. With that, Ipwet moved off towards a door that engraved with many ancient Anubite symbols, but otherwise lacked clear markings except that the door was rather reinforced. It also lacked a clear mechanism for opening, though that concern was cleared up when Ipwet held up a hand, causing a stream of dark green energy to emerge from her palm and merge with the door. It opened soon after.

The interior of the channeling room was a large room of stone, which felt like being in a large oval-shaped tube. The lighting was a series of wall-mounted torches, though their flame flickered between colors. Going from red, to green, to blue, to yellow, and back to red. At the center of the ceiling a great white light, casting down a beam of light that marked the center of the room. Along the walls was more writing, but in this case it was names. Many names. Ipwet took her position in the center of the room, and as soon as her two rather rapidly selected students were inside, a motion of her hand saw the great door closed. Tarset looked around at the room, reading the names and nodding, "All the heads of the Suerankh family... My name will join these eventually. Hopefully not soon, of course! But it is nice to know I'll have my name written down somewhere at least."

"Mmm while I would have enjoy in partaking in the construction of this realm. I'm afraid I was not even born back then. Contrary to how the reputation of my title may paint me as. I've only ruled for a short reign so far. No one rules forever after all. My parents and my ancestors have all abdicated the throne after a certain period of time. They then all sail to the Far Shore. The farthest point of life and death. Whether it may be decades or centuries, I too will pass down my throne and like all my ancestor before me, make the same journey. Thus while I may not have been present during the founding of this city we still hold the knowledge of back then. The Immaculate One of that time had spoken with our linage progenitor, asking for passage to find a new home. For our old home has fallen, the time to leave the universal tale had come. Aoanno had agreed, she gave them a road to this firmament. And thus they made their grand voyage to this new and foreign cosmos. Landing on a world they decided that it was here that they will lay down their roots. As they built this city they decided to name it Nth. A symbolic name of how far the Amzielean race have once began. The Immaculate One did have a impact on their morale and stabilization of not only them but the Welkin as well. House Anfauglir, being the only one to have come with the Ishnar at the time, still suffer from their scars from the war." She answered to the Anubite. Already enjoying the exchange so far and they only just begun. For that was simply her nature to be gregarious. To recite tales of bygone eras. "Ah now where should I begin. You offer so many mysteries. Hmm I suppose a similar question will do. What has been the role of the Anubite Empire in your galaxy and how had the ripples you made effected the rest of your galaxy?"

She figured it would have been a dark room with torches. That seem to be a common trend when it comes to the paranormal. It was a bit claustrophobic but nothing she can't handle thanks to the presence of the anubites.  Remaining close to Tarset she kept quiet to listen to Ipwet talking about the room. She likes the sentimentality of having a wall dedicated to the names of the family. Further illustrating the Anubite lifestyle with the spiritual world. The flames that dance on the torches were interesting to look at as they change colors.

Lady Kissa did find that they had a tradition of abdication rather interesting, in addition to the difference in title and the actual length of the reign. Kissa would've expected that the Matriarch had reigned for a fairly long while at this point with that sort of title, but seeing that she was fairly new was a bit eye opening. Still, given the knowledge that came after, it made a great deal of sense, "I see. Abdicating the throne to a worthy successor is a good way of assuring stability in the transition of power, and given that goal to avoid conflict it makes sense. It would be quite bad if the stabilizing force of the The Immaculate One came under conflict of interests, as that become counter productive, causing instability. Fascinating indeed, and sensible." The Anubite Lady then considered the question, as it was a rather open ended one that gave her plenty of room to formulate a good response, as well as give a good impression of the Anubite Empire itself. Still, Kissa smiled and responded, "Ah, a simple but telling question that one is, but I shall answer. The Anubite Empire is one of Hoshizora's, our galaxy, most ancient native space-faring Empires. Perhaps even the first of Hoshizoran civilizations to reach the stars still standing. As such, we have been a rather significant force since our Empire's rise to the stars. There is a lot to discuss with that deal of age, so I'll generalize and compress it. The Anubite Empire has always been a major presence in Eastern Hoshizora, and we are seekers of knowledge and history. Bringing everything back to our homeland to ensure the common Hoshizoran history is preserved. But one cannot expect to simply chronicle history in peace and be left undisturbed, and so the Anubite Empire conquered and expanded. Becoming a powerful eastern power, our ripples constant across the whole galaxy, as would be expected of a powerful and ancient Empire being where we were. We are on the Western side of the greater area known as Iammelon, and we have served as Iammelon's western shield, so to say. Blocking the expansion of other powers in that direction, and giving safety to the other Iammelonian civilizations, even the ones we clashed with! Our shield allowed them to develop, forming powers that could perhaps be considered even mightier than us, such as the ancient Zantine Empire that truly ruled the East. And, now, we are part of a nation that comprises all of Iammelon, one of the strongest forces in the galaxy. That ripple is perhaps the greatest we have ever indirectly caused. Our solid bastion allowed the rise of a power that would see us part of it as well. Quite something." Kissa was smiling in consideration of that. While most might be angry their Empire did not become the one to dominate, Kissa and many other Anubites still felt Iammelonian pride, and in this way they could hold the pride of being the force that nurtured the survival of the nation. The Zantines might have birthed the ideals and the concept of a United Iammelon, but it was the Anubites who kept it standing long enough for the Zantines to even spring from their cradle! Regardless, the Anubite continued, "Now, on that front, let me pose a question to you. What do your people see yourselves as? Conquerors, naturalists, and so on. What is the identity that binds your history together, beyond just mere species."

Tarset also kept close to Heulyn, for while she was fairly comfortable she was still a bit clinging to what she knew, and not these mystical things that had eluded her for so long. Ipwet meanwhile, in the center of the room, smiled and nodded, "Join these names you shall Tarset, in a long distant eventuality. But these are more than just names! Names are labels for what really counts, the soul and being of a person. Each and every one of these names is a soul that will respond to the call if you just speak loudly enough, and answer with the knowledge that can provide. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves! First things first, you cannot expect to channel the spirits of others without learning first about your own spirit! For when I mentioned speaking, I don't mean this speech. I mean the tongue of the dead, or perhaps it is more accurate to call it the truest tongue of all! Our spirits are our direct line to the universe and the constant swirling of life and death. Only once you realize this bond you have with existence itself can you use your soul to send messages through, to channel power."
