Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

"Your words are appreciated." She noted with a smile. While any sense of validation was not needed it's still nice to have outsiders compliment on how they run things. For the universe is a vast place so it's only logical to run into others who hold different standards in life. So to find a like-minded soul in the great expanse is comforting that they are not truly alien. These thoughts pass to give way for her to pay attention to Lady Kissa. Absorbed in the tale that was spun. If one paid attention specifically to her eyes they would note that they hold fascination. From what they can gather however given her eyes are a bit unique compared to others of his kind. Like the saying goes, the eyes are the windows to the soul. But for her, it's a window to something grandeur. Within her whites is no iris, but rather a pool of shimmering yellow and orange energy. Weaving intro great cluster like strands that emit a strong otherworldly feeling even when so far away. "Just quite something? My dear there's no shame in showing some pride for what you represent. A culmination of the tribulations and ages of splendor that your empire went through to this point. The legacy that you and your people hold is a beautiful thing." The Matriarch was clearly animated by the answer. Safe to say that she liked hearing what the Anubite Empire strove for. The question that she was given also made her softly smile. "Ah a good question. Desire is the linchpin of any culture. And such the nature of emotions it changed over time. Once we're scholars. Like the Anubites we sought to preserve knowledge and achieve greater understanding with the universe around us. After awhile when the Ishnar spread further across the stars they shifted towards a more warlike, conquering nature. When my bloodline began it led to a great shift in Amzielean culture. No longer are they focused on the endpoint of their desire but rather the journey. The Ishnar people became more content, seeking more peaceful times. To have their worlds flourish and prosper. As the result on relying on mediation and prayer over their past warring nature, they became more spiritual in nature and we still are to this day. We no longer preserve knowledge for power but now for contemplation and introspection. To forsake earthly desires enough to truly comprehend the magnificence of the universe. For a singular word to describe Ishnar. I would pick philanthropist." While not the most grandiose of words she could have chosen she's rather humble in that regard. "To continue with the topic of desire here's a seemly odd scenario for you. Imagine for a second. You're a fan of a series of long books. The story is invigorating, keeps you on the edge of your seat. But halfway through the story takes a dark turn. Your favorite characters are suffering and you're afraid that they might die. So here's the question. Do you spare yourself of the angst and skip to the final chapter? Nothing can stop you, you've all the power to flip to the final page. Just a small peek won't hurt anyone will it?"

Names having power was something she understood well. Stories have immense power within the Atziluth System. Heroic spirits are the embodiment of heroic stories. narratives and narrative concepts have power, the huge amount of writer heroic spirits is enough proof of that, she even met a heroic spirit who is literally a story. stories influence Aztluth not just in a poetic way but through the actual power contained within the narrative. Back during the Taikyoku Schism when Holy Grail wars were still conducted. The importance of hiding the True Name of their Servants was paramount. Their names can reveal certain traits about their abilities, allowing for specific countermeasures, and there are many famous heroes that had met untimely deaths in life. Those killed by poison will be more susceptible to it, those shot down by arrows will be weak against them, those with weak spots will be severely disadvantaged if they are targeted, and those with traits like being weak to monster-slayers or dragon-slaying weapons can be specifically damaged in accordance. Even without such a specific countermeasure being available to one Master, releasing that information to the other Masters can allow for other countermeasures to be brought forth. All in all this is something she is familiar with. Which she found comfort with such familiarity.

It was interesting when Ipwet described life and death as a swirl. As that reminded her of the Swirl of the Root. A metaphysical location within the universe that acts as the "force" that exists at the top of all theories in every dimension. It was also called 'True Aztiluth' but it has so many names that she found it bothersome to remember it all. It certainly does not help when every sentence in the Oneness with Heaven and Earth (The Aztiluth Bible) has three metaphors. Who ever wrote that certinally tried their hardest to not say 'It works because it's magical'. That's not to say she disliked all the reading material. She just would have liked if it was a bit more simplified for her. Such as the soul which Ipwet has begun talking about. Spiritualism was something she studied upon plenty of times. The way she worded it almost sound like the concept of Origin. The starting point that defines one's existence and directs one's actions throughout life. It is the driving force that comes from within the Root that has managed to stream out of the Source and take on material form. The form it can take on at times is that of a human being, and all humans match their actions to be in harmony with the driving force that originated them from the moment they enter into the world. It was something that she and Albretch had learned after learning about their elemental affinity.

Under the system of Amzielean Magecraft, Origins are used to describe precise details about a magus, while Elemental Affinity indicates one’s general alignment. Magi with an Origin that is strongly expressed outwardly are sometimes removed from the normal alignments and there are times that the origin itself becomes the alignment. Most of those magi exhibit their talents as extreme specialists, allowing them to potentially reach higher grounds than normal magi. Even those without an Elemental Affinity are sometimes still capable of casting spells simply by following their Origin. Thus this is how she and Albrecht have been able to cast magic despite being third rates. Considering this first step she knew that she would need to look inward towards her Origin to help her in this. Feeling ready she nodded in understanding of what was said so far.

The compliments towards the Anubite Empire got a blush out of the Anubite Lady, who did feel a good deal of pride about her Empire being praised in such a fashion. It was indeed very nice to be complimented on outsiders, as the Matriarch noted prior. It was good to be appreciated. Lady Kissa then listened closely to the answer, finding it interesting that they did hold very similar goals at one point between their two civilizations. The shift into a conquering nature was also understandable, as the size of the Anubite Empire at its peak showed their own ability to wage war and seize territory, although the Anubites considered that simply as part of their journey of understanding, getting the resources they needed to continue their Empire's education of the universe. Still, Lady Kissa liked the answer, nodding her head, "Quite the journey indeed, and one I can relate to as an Anubite with how similar it is in many ways to our own. Although we in the Anubites always combined power and knowledge, seeing them as no different. Though one could say we are very spiritual as well, just a bit more directly!" With that little joke, she then considered the scenario, "Hm, while it would be a brief rush to turn to the end of the book, the dark turn is part of the journey of reading, is it not? You can learn about the end, but it is not quite as meaningful without knowing the context and build up to that final moment. Perhaps they are suffering now, those characters, but that may benefit to their own growth, and to watch that growth occur organically is a treasure beyond rushing to the end." She thought, and then came up with a good follow up, "And now, for my own question! You spoke of forsaking earthly desires to see beyond. But, consider this. In forsaking natural desires, do you perhaps not blind yourself to the true comprehension of the universe? These desires are a part of the universe as any other thing, part of your very being. Do you believe you can truly fully understand yourself and the universe by forsaking them?"

Tarset, given that she had tried to learn spirit channeling before, had heard of these concepts before as well for herself. This wasn't the first time she had the explanation given, after all. But she did feel she had a better grasping of it now than she did years ago, when it felt much more nebulous and distant. She didn't nearly have as much familiarity with it as Heulyn did, but Tarset had now spoken to spirits far more often. Gleaming their advice, seeing how they were called upon, and so on. It was hard not to get a bit familiar with the spiritual realm when living among the dead, and the Anubite Empire was too intermingled to avoid mingling with a spirit for too long.

Regardless of the thoughts going in the heads of the two women, Ipwet continued with a small demonstration, "I'm sure you have all noticed the flames, given that their little thing of changing color makes them hard to miss. The reason why they do this is because there are four spirits in this room, and these torches are specially made to sense the presence of souls and mark how many are here by the colors they show. Three of those spirits are us. We are still souls, after all. But... There is somebody else in here too. You cannot see them, but their soul is here as well. Concentrate and calm yourselves, and try to feel it out. Reach out with your own soul as a feeler to try and find that fourth soul."

She gave a warm smile to the answer. "A wise answer expected of one with such a legacy. It's always important to remember the value of life is not reaching towards the end but rather the journey. To skip ahead of life is to avoid the long and often difficult process of personal change and development. To skip darkness and pain cheapens the sacerfice as well the journey to overcome such opposition." She spoke in understanding. A more deeper meaning for her question was that it was a metaphor about having 'absolute power' and how Kissa would have used it.  So it was good to see other races showing the wisdom of appreciating life for what it is and not enforcing their own dream onto it. Another smile was given in response to the question. "Ah you have misheard but it's a reasonable error. I spoke enough, not all. A small difference that makes all the difference. Perhaps a better word I should have used was obsession, or rather excessive obsession. For the line between passion and obsession is very thin. Sometimes people have trouble discerning the difference. But desire is different. You can really have everything you want, if you go after it, but you will have to want it. The desire for something must be so strong within you that it is the very breath of your life. Your first thought when you awaken in the morning, your last thought when you go to bed at night. 'I want to love', 'I want to win', 'I want friends', 'I want to be healthy', 'I want to live'. All these desires are selfish but the important thing is that selfishness is not inherently evil. But rather the excess of it. There is one difference between desire and obsession.  When your passion is of the obsessive variety, you no longer have control over it.  You can’t start and stop as you wish.  You become addicted to the excitement you get from it.  You start prioritizing your passion, over other activities and commitments.  When you can’t engage in it, you become restless and frustrated. Your desire has just crossed that thin line. In conclusion we taught ourselves how to reach harmonious desire and forsake obsessive desire. And it's the harmonious desire that propels us to learn about the universe" She explained to the Anubite then she spoke her next question. "Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything. Your legacy is proof enough that desire is not inherently a bad thing. So I'm interested, what do you considered to be some of the greatest achievements in your race long history?"

She gave a nod to what was asked of her. Clasping her hands behind her back she closed her eyes. And the darkness beckons her with its silent whisper. She remind herself that she was not alone. That the cold, stone around her was not from that similar place underground. The heat was coming from torches that signify the presence of souls. Not the torches that illuminates the Magnus byproducts of their apathetic and cruel machinations. The thin scar tissues that criss-cross her body began to itch slightly. Remain calm she thought to herself. Don't remain as the victim she thought to herself again. She's stronger than the darkness inside of her. She is. She has to be. The alternative is worse.

She opened her mind eye.

Her imaginary space was equally dark. Yet her body was illuminated by a inner light. Standing on what appears to be a water surface. Her flesh was bare, all her scars seemly more pronounced against her tanned skin. Lifting up her mental arms she look down on them. Thinking of how ugly they were, how scarred, how imperfect. As if the imaginary space was reacting to her cognitive perspective. The lines that mark her body split open and began to weep. Blood pouring down her body like one thick veil that billow out into the water below. Nearing into shock from her own mental nightmare she tried to grasp her fleeting will. Blood seep from her eyes.

'There is no shame in asking for help.'

A distant memory bubble up within her. The bleeding stop. As the last of the blood fell off her she mentally saw that in place of her scars were gold that mended her broken flesh. Bittersweet of her bonds saving her once more she went to focus now that she had her darkness under control. Looking around her she could see small ripples in the water coming from Ipwet, Tarset, and the fourth other soul. Back in reality she opened her eyes. Her imaginary space overlapping the real space. Looking to the direction of the ripples she mentally call out to the spirit.

Lady Kissa was interested in this correction that the Matriarch was issuing. It was quite a difference between passion and obsession, after all, so now Kissa could understand what she meant better. It made sense to her, and she could feel satisfied, for her concerns were addressed, "That is quite right. Obsession can be something quite dangerous, but it is good that you acknowledge that it is not naturally evil to be a bit selfish. After all, unrestrained selflessness is just as dangerous as incredible selfishness. The true power is in the balance, where you can have complete control. That is what you have reached, in Anubite terms. Or at least what you're aspiring towards, as it's hard to really say when you've found balance, and harder yet to see it in others." She then paused, as there were many achievements reached by the Empire. It was hard for her to pin down what was the true greatest among them, so she supposed she would just go off what first came to mind, "It's difficult to say what our greatest accomplishments out of all our history is, but what comes to mind immediately is the Aluxandri Great Archives. The Great Archives are the greatest database of knowledge in the Anubite Empire, and by proxy perhaps all of Hoshizora! I suppose that's one of our greatest accomplishments. The other I believe is not so direct, but is more our ability to stay on course for so long. The Anubite Civilization has managed to stay dedicated to our goals of knowledge despite our great length of existence. Which I guess is down to us still being connected to those who set us on that path in the first place! Now, on that, I'd like to ask this. I came here through a gate in an Ishnar necropolis, so that brings up a question, how connected are your kind with those who came before? Both spiritually and practically."

Heulyn's moment of darkness was, thankfully, not noted by Tarset, who lacked the ability to feel it. But that was not the case for Ipwet, who was far more attuned. In this room, it was easier to see into the spirit of another if you knew what you were doing, and Ipwet was quite skilled. She noticed the darkness that bled out of her before it was thrown back under lock and chain. She kept that in mind as they moved forward, but she would first let this exercise finish before speaking up about it, though it was a concern she would address very soon.

As for the exercise, she'd be able to find that the hidden fourth soul was a bit to the left of Ipwet in positioning. Tarset was struggling a bit more, though she did peak a bit at where Heulyn seemed to be reaching, and copied. For own amazement, she could actually feel the spirit there, once she knew its general location. So, perhaps not quite as good as Heulyn, but it was a big achievement for Tarset and she felt proud of being able to do even this little thing. Meanwhile, as Heulyn reached out, a small chuckled reverberated through the room. The spirit showed itself, taking the form of an armored Anubite in full silver armor. The Spirit spoke soon after showing themselves, "Impressive. Seems you have a bit of talent for this. I like to keep myself hidden when guarding the Lady-Lord, though I suppose for the sake of this lesson I will not be cross about being found out."

Ipwet smiled and nodded to the spirit, "It is for the sake of teaching, uncle. For introductions, this is my fallen Uncle, Tarldor Amarna. He was the family... spymaster, so to say. Dangerous occupation, given the underhanded nature of deep Imperial politics. So it is not a wonder he did not live a full life. However, he protects me from those dark realities in the shadows now. Family sticks together. Now, you both did well! I saw that little peak Tarset, but you still made progress! I am happy for you, and I think that it is a sign you are now capable of learning what you could not figure out before. Heulyn... What is it you saw? I do believe you sensed more than just my uncle."

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

She gave a nod in approval of Kissa summarization on the concepts of desire and obsession. Even though it has only be little over fifteen minutes since their conversation began she was starting to develop a interest in the Anubites. From what she have learned so far their culture would mingle well with the Ihsnar. It was not hard to envision a good relationship between the two races. Now it's simply the matter of what these coming days and weeks will bring to them. A smile grace her features once more of being told about the wonder of the Anubites. "I'm always fond of archives. To preserve and restore history. Perhaps in the future in a more official gathering I could give this Archive our patronage." For as Kissa said their people hold similarities in their ideals. As such the Ishnar would be willing to aid the Anubites in their quest of preservation of galactic history.

The next question was a bit tricky to respond to. Death is a complicated topic in Ishnar civilization. "Given the Ishnar nature, very. Although it's rather complex. Back in Auinozoaun, before there was House Anfauglir they were known as 'Gods' to Amziel civilizations. They were polytheistic which is a reason how they accepted foreign Welkin of cultures. They worshipped several major gods and thousands of minor gods. Each Amziealen city had its own patron god or goddess. Beside gods they also believed in genies, demons, and evil spirits. However due to the length of time between divided Amzielean and Ishnar Civilization there is no such “guidebooks” from Old Amziel detail of the afterlife and the soul’s fate after death. Mostly because not many texts have survived that many epochs. Instead, ancient Amziel views of the afterlife must be pieced together from a variety of sources across different genres.

Many literary texts, most famously the Epic of Goljamush, contemplate the meaning of death, recount the fate of the dead in the netherworld, and describe mourning rites. Other texts were probably composed in order to be recited during religious rites involving ghosts or dying gods. Of these ritual texts, the most notable are Goljamush, Nekiud and the Netherworld; Ishnar’s Descent to the Netherworld; and Ladren and Allatu. Further sources for Amziel afterlife beliefs include burials, grave inscriptions, economic texts recording disbursements for funerals or cults of the dead, references to death in royal inscriptions and edicts, chronicles, royal and private letters, lexical texts, cultic commentaries, magico-medical texts, omens, and curse formulas. Ancient Amziel conceptualized the netherworld as the cosmic opposite of the heavens and as a shadowy version of life on earth. Metaphysically, it was thought to lie a great distance from the realm of the living. Physically, however, it lay underground and is poetically described as located only a short distance from the earth’s surface.

In Amziel conceptions of the afterlife, life did not end after physical death but continued in the form of an eṭemmu, a spirit or ghost dwelling in the netherworld. Further, physical death did not sever the relationship between living and deceased but reinforced their bond through a new set of mutual obligations. Just as the well-being of the ghost in the netherworld was contingent upon offerings from the living, so too was the well being of the living contingent upon on the proper propitiation and favor of the dead. To a notable degree, these afterlife beliefs reflected and reinforced the social structure of kinship ties in Amzielean communities. This bond between the living and the dead continued all the way to modern times.

With the arrival of the Ishnar Age and the Age of Welkin, Amzielean had to adapt to the influx of foreign culture and other Welkin. It was thanks to their polytheistic beliefs that they were able to integrate so many different faiths well. With the reformation of faith producing the Ten Houses of Ana'hosas. The relationship between the living and dead is different for each pantheon that a individual might follow. When a Ishnar dies they go to whoever they put faith in. Secular souls had their own planes to go to. The Necropolis you went through was a Hellas Necropolis. A graveyard for the wealthy to bring their dead close to Chesron so that he may ferry their souls to the Coriariena underworld.

Now given this universe is not Auinozoaun there had to be changes on how other planes such as 'Heaven' and 'Underworld' exist if the Welkin cannot build outside of the dimension we reside in. But as many different belief systems powered the revolution of the planets and stars. So does the belief of science. Thus House Anfauglir turned to the power of science and by mixing it with magic began to reproduce something that have existed in our home universe. Texture. A layer of the fabric of reality. In our universe, they were layers of reality which wrap around the planet's surface, including the 'present world' bound by the laws of physics in which Ishnar live and the Reverse Side of the World beneath it. It took time but the Welkin manage to etch Textures into portions of the Supervoid in which we reside in. The souls of the Ishnar now had a place to reside in.

There's more to the relationship between Ishnar and their dead but I've been rambling on long enough. So with that said how's your people relationship with the departed?"

"I sensed nothing else."
'I sǝusǝp ɯʎ dɐᴉu'

Her response was cagey and a bit to quick. As if to play it off she dart her eyes to Tarset and gave a grin. Happy to see her progressing after hearing about her shortcomings. "I'm happy for you Tarset! You're doing well!" Yes. Be happy. If not for herself than for someone else. That was something she could do. Has done. Yes Heulyn, drink upon her happiness. Get drunk on it to forget your pathetic excuse of happiness. For that what you are Heulyn. What you have been. What you always will be. For just like Albertch you chosen the fate of oblivion. Fallen so far into the pit that if you were to be selfish only once, even for a teeny bit, you will buckle. The longer you run Heulyn. The stronger the darkness becomes. No mortal can bear the weight of the world forever.

"Oh heheh I don't have that much talent Mr. Tarldor. I just had good teachers when it comes to spirits." She blushed a bit at the spymaster compliment. A stark contrast to the fear and panic that bat against her rib cage. Disgusted in herself that she made someone worry. Stupid stupid stupid! She's fine! She can handle this. She doesn't want to disappoint Albertch. She doesn't want to disappoint her family. She doesn't want to disappoint all her servants she contracted with. She's not going to fail this. She will defeat this. She will. She will fight till the end of deaths. She will fight to hell and back. She will fight. She will fight. She will fight this.

She's not going to make anyone worry anymore.

"See Tarset. You just need to believe in yourself and preserve through everything! Progress will always come." She spoke to Tarset in an uplifting manner. Her amber eyes sparkling with happiness but given the emotional turmoil underneath. Someone like Tarldor can easily detect that her eyes were very much lying. In her imaginary world she was unaware of her dark subconscious sewing her metaphorical mouth shut with dark skeletal hands that reach around her head.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

on Tue Oct 01, 2019 9:52 pm
Lady Kissa smiled and nodded, "The archive could always use more help! After all, it's not easy to document a galaxy worth of knowledge, and more funding and help eases the burden. But that's for the future, of course." With that, she settled in to listen closely to the lengthy explanation about how the Ishnar handled the fallen, and there was quite a bit to think on there. Especially since it was indeed more complicated than just a simple explanation, there was the talk of pantheons of gods, multiple underworlds, and more. Lady Kissa was actually rather amused by some of it, since there were some things she found quite understandable and sensible, and other things she saw as rather nonsensical from her Anubite point of view. Though the end seemed a bit off to her, getting rather ahead of itself and not making very much practical sense, but she supposed some things were complicated the first time around, "Quite interesting. I can see some similarities to the Anubite view of the universe in there, and some stark disagreements. For instances, the idea of multiple afterlifes, though the details are where we diverge. Regardless, I shall be more brief on how the Anubites function in this regard."

"Anubites hold a very close relation with our dead. Early on in our history we came to greatly value the fallen,  though we had a rather basic understanding of the world beyond life. We Anubites made a stark parallel in the land of the living and the land of the dead on our homeworld, separating them between the fertile, habitable lands around the great rivers and single ocean that sustains our people, and the massive desert that consumes the rest of the planet. The living build their homes along the rivers, but when one is dead their body is taken out into the deserts to be buried. More wealthy Anubites built tombs out there to be buried in, and great lords built massive burial complexes under the sands to host the bodies of themselves, their families, and their servants. Such is the case that we are still uncovering ancient tombs even to this day. This was done so much because it was believed that in order for a soul to pass into the afterlife, their body had to be in lands that were dead already, thus allowing them to pass from the world of the living into the realm of the dead."

"We only grew more complex after the discovery of spirit channeling. The ability to speak with the dead changes your views after all. This is how we got around to the modern Anubite conception of life and death, as well as conceptions of the divine. It is fairly lengthy to explain, so I shall summarize very quickly and say we also believe in a few different Afterlifes, each watched over by one of four gods. Now then however, this does mean we have a very close relationship with our fallen. We can call upon the wisdom of old heroes, and Anubite Children rarely go without speaking to at least one of their ancestors for life advice. We forge a society in which the dead have an active role, ensuring they are never forgotten. Now, however, on a different note, my question! How do you select your successor? As you said, people in your position generally abdicate. So how do Matriarchs decide on a good successor to them?"

The soul of the fallen Spymaster did indeed see through her attempt at lying about the darkness beneath. Tarldor was quite experienced after all in evaluating people on their spiritual level, given the importance of that level in Anubite society, and it was pretty much impossible to not see the cracks. Still, he could tell it was best not to pry, but there were indirect methods of getting the information he wanted. So, Tarldor spoke up in response, "Oh? Other teachers? Is that perhaps what I felt when you were reaching out? Do tell about these other teachers, as I do know that other teacher could not have been Tarset. She is a student, after all. Are these other teachers from your own land, perhaps? It would be quite interesting to hear of another society that had the ability to call out to spirits as you just did."

Lady Tarset meanwhile didn't see the lies nearly as well as the honed Spymaster, although even she could sense something wasn't quite right. Still, she was excited in what little achievement she did make, and so was still uplifted. She smiled and nodded, "Thank you, Heulyn. Though I do suppose you do more than I do. Though go ahead and tell Ipwet and Tarldor about the Amzielian Servants! They might be able to help in that! More than I can, at least."

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

on Wed Oct 02, 2019 3:25 pm
"The disagreement is reasonable. In fact it's those same disagreement that led to the creation of the Pantheon Convention which simply put, rejects the notion that Welkin are 'Gods'. And also rejects that these Afterlifes are 'True Afterlifes'. These volumes are accessible to the public and have been for many years. Speaking of the Convention if you wish I could order a copy of the series for you after we're done here. You're definitely a group that would enjoy studying it. Anyways back to what I was saying, as to what other Welkin may have told you already. There's a bit of a perspective difference between Welkin and Ishnar. The Welkin have long agreed to accept their reclassification and became more bureaucratic compared to Pre-Convention times. Ishnar on the other hand are traditional and still enjoy the old cultures so they kept giving respect to Welkin." She explained further before quieting herself to let Kissa speak.  Enjoying hearing all about their different culture.

With the subject now switching to a different topic she gave a smile in thought of her successor. "The succession system is hereditary. My son Cyanea is being groomed to eventually be worthy to take my place. He's still young, so it'll be awhile. Every now and then I check up on his life constellation to see the scope of his potential. I'm able to see the breadth of the ripples that his choices can make. See the roads he could take, he forsaken, or see the roads that could've been and/or never were. If the collective sum is in the side of the light than he is worthy. On the other scale, if most of his paths were to lead to ruin than he'll go through 'tests' to put him on the right track. So with that said, how does the Anubite Empire do their succession system?"

"I don't know what you mean." Heulyn denied his guess in a confused manner. But underneath she knew she also almost slip her tounge and would have spoken something that would have sent up a flag that she is hiding something. Consider he's a spirit and a good spymaster at that she has to be very careful around him. But not act too defensive as that will just tip him off as well. His type is very difficult for her to deal with. She already have dealt with similar spirits in the past so she knows the name of the game when it comes to intrigue, while amateurish she does now some tricks that can give her time. Three minutes at best. If he was Lockey the jig would have been thrown the moment he step through the door and deduct her several dozen microexpressions in a split second. In general she has always been easy to read. One of the reasons most people make bad liars is that they find lying a deeply unpleasant activity. Fear and guilt are evident in their facial expressions. They want to get the process over as quickly as possible, so they show relief when their interrogator changes the topic. That's a dead giveaway. Really good liars, on the other hand, actually enjoy the process of deceiving other people. Such trickery is not something she takes enjoyment from. Mentally laying down the groundwork she approaches this from another angle. Treat this as a game of chess. She had played a lot of chess with Lockey and enjoyed it. With this mindset she could get the enjoyment out of this game of cat and mouse. Now she just need to get her nonverbal signals under control.

While getting her facts straight she shift her attention back to Tarset who she gave a thoughtful look too. "That's true. I suppose I should talk about it now." Summoning spirits was very complicated so thankfully it will take time explaining it. Thus buying her much needed time. Making eye contact with Tarldor she answered the other questions. "But yes I had several teachers but before we talk about them let's begin with some context." With that said she went over some of the stuff she told Tarset. That she was a Magnus at the CSO that oversaw space-time anomalies in the timeline. Called 'Masters' they were leyshifted to these singularities to correct them with spirits referred to as Servants. At this point Heulyn went to describing about the summoning process and what the spirits were. She talked about one of CSO major inventions the Guardian Heroic Spirit Summoning System "FATE" that allows for members of CSO who are considered "provisional Masters" to summon Heroic Spirits as Servants. A system patterned after the Heroic Spirit summoning ritual utilized in the Grail Wars of the Taikyoku Schism, which enacts summoning per agreement of purpose between Master and Servant. All the while she was careful in what she said and left out stuff as per advice from Tarset. Such as not mentioning that CSO was attacked prompting only her and Albretch to serve as the remaining Masters as they fight across history against the Demon God.

With the basic setting explained she then went into the topic of what Heroic Spirits were. That they are beings of a higher existence, becoming categorically closer to Elementals than wraiths. Differing from how Elementals are "power" granted form using human imagination as a container, they are entirely woven from the ideals of people all throughout. They are freed from the constraints of time itself and removed from the ring of reincarnation, moved to the Throne of Heroes, a place existing outside of both the World and the time axis. It's to be noted that to Heroic Spirits, being summoned as a Servant is a miracle in itself. For they are nothing more than "Strength" to be harnessed. They were never summoned as individual beings before. Heroic Spirits themselves are nothing but concepts without self. just raw power with a name attached. Normally if you summon them you summon a phenomena related to their legend and nothing resembling a person. They can be the exact same thing because they’re both just phenomena related to the legend. for many of these heroes, even if they did exist in history, their heroic spirit version is much larger than life. Plainly put they are very highly conceptualized existences that Heulyn expressed that she can't go over every nuance of them in one sitting or rather standing in this situation. Ascension, Summoning, And Form will all need separate sessions all on their own.

"So with all that said. Albretch and I needed training in the CSO since we were very much third rates in terms of mystic prowess. Thankfully we had a few good scholarly spirits." She had not yet gotten into the Class system because that would have drag this conversation longer than it needed. "There was Archomukus a mathematical genius who taught us about magical formals and repair just not magecraft, but also damaged circuits and even crests. Ascluphoes taught us in medicine and his teachings was a life saver in some situations. Helena taught us modern occultism. Waver taught us about general magecraft. Manae taught old magic. And finally two other spirits of note are Xu and Nath who taught runecraft. All in all everyone of them were amazing, but I be lying if I said I retained what most of them taught us. Albretch is more of a workaholic so no doubt he remembers more than I do." With that said she took a deep breath. A bit proud of herself in having the stamina to talk for so long. Her throat is a bit parch now after all that. The dry, warm certinally did not help.

Lady Kissa understood that change in classification, and agreed with it in its nature. After all, it was not healthy to adopt the idea of being living gods. Not only because of the arrogance, but it excused stagnancy and more, "A good development, as far as I see. I would however love to have a copy as soon as one could be provided! It would be very nice for the archives, but I bet it will also be good as a personal read!" With that, she listened and nodded, that was quite a normal succession system, "Ah, a simple hereditary system with some worthiness requirements. Quite good. Ensures there is a requirement before succession, and thus making a good succession. As for Anubites, we really are quite similar in that regard. We have a hereditary system, but successors have to prove themselves to both the current holder of the position they are going to take as well as their family's ancestors. The position holder, be it the High Lord or a simple governor, is to ensure their successor is up to the task, while the Ancestors ensure they stay true to the family's ideals over time, and always maintain respect for their heritage. This way, we avoid too much falling into decadence. Though, as you mentioned, you're a relatively recent ruler, yes? Who was your predecessor?"

Tarldor was a tough target for deceit, as one could see he pretty much always had things stacked in his favor. Even in his spirit form he was wearing his full silver suit, covering up most of his and preventing him from showing most tells. The rest covered up by his experience and skills, as well as the fact he was a ghost. Thus, he could focus all of his own attention on Heulyn, to scope out her own deceit. Ipwet was no slouch here either, being experienced in the matters of the court, and in that field it was important to be able to sniff out lies. But while these two family members were good at their trade, Tarset was also here and she was not a spy. As such, she was good for use of deflection. So, Heulyn got her way to make some time.

With the attention reflected onto this summoning system and the "servants"  summoned from it. It was rather clear by the look on Ipwet's face that, even with what was left out, she did not at all like what she was hearing. A frown was growing with more and more explanation. As Tarset had warned, a real Spirit Mystic was not as accepting or pleased by the information she was receiving, and almost drew into complete disgust as Heroic Spirits were spoken of. Though she softened more towards the very end, seeming less concerned about scholarly spirits than everything else she had heard. Thus, when Ipwet responded, she sighed, "Well, I am quite happy you were educated by smart and skilled spirits. It is good to hear that. The rest is not so good. In fact it is almost downright dangerous to some exists. This... 'FATE' system, as you called it, sounds to me like a very quick way for the universe to be unbalanced, and the dead abused. Or at least, it has the potential for such. So, tell me. Is this still being done on Angelarium? If it is, I do believe we Anubites will have to investigate."

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

“Fairly recent from our perspective. It was only twelve years ago that my father, the Patriarch had passed down the throne to me. As he was a good father he had a good reign. Mainly kept up the progress of setting up mining stations and research outposts throughout the Supervoid.” She spoke in nostalgia of remembering her father. “Speaking of resources that gives me a thought. How interested would the Anubite Empire be in trading with Ishnar?”

Her spine burn in anxiety as she felt the twin scrutinizing gazes upon her. Peering into her soul to see the blood smeared on her hands. She was never a liar, she knows that. Which makes the experience of being in the room with two people who are no doubt good at their professions analyzing her under a microscope all the more sweat dropping. He muscles contracted in silent panic at seeing the disgust on Ipwet face. Tried as she may she could not have hoped to spin this explanation in a better light. For as painful it is to admit it. By god it's fucking painful. She could not defend some of her kin actions in history. It was this thinking that she could not immediately object to Ipwet thoughts. And knew for each second that passes in silence is only further confirmation for them that she is trying to paint this in a good color. She swallowed hard and instinctively knew that bodily action that she had confirmed his fear. A memory bubbled up to the surface. Remembering the time when Tiamat came to her in her hospital bed and attempted to apologize to her. Explained that the anomalies never happened on Angelarium but on other worlds under Ishnar control. Angelarium was never in any danger. Even if Ishnar history had been destroyed, Angelarium would not have been affected because it existed on a different time tree.

The reason she told her of this was to basically tell her that she has no loyalty to Angelarium. That they are not the people that she had fought so hard to protect. No reason to forgive them for what they have taken away from her. Her future, her friends, and her family. Tiamat was asking her to seek justice and not by a martyr. At the time she was too drugged up to consider the notion of getting justice for what had been done to her and her Servants. But now, in this room with a individual who can very well offer that justice. But the cruelest part about it.

To seek justice was to very well destroy everything relating to the FATE system. To never see her family and friends again. And that thought was more terrifying than personal oblivion. Yes, she is hurting. Hurting so damn much. Yes, she is aware of how much darkness boils under her scars. But so what? She is here isn't she? She can stand up again all by herself. Even if she's all alone... she will survive. Even if no one will ever believe what she says and be alone in seeing things that no one else will. She will survive. That was her wish. Of all the things she remembers she can recall that wish she made in that darkest moment. 'I want to [Remember] the reason why I [Survive].' In that interweaving of remembrance and survival her Aztiluth was crystallized. Her right hand shows the proof of that desire. The red markings shimmer even in the low torchlight.

Clenching her fists she made her decision. Despite wanting to cry in frustration. Or flee in anxiety. Deep down she knew, or more rather. Have always been destined to stand tall and head into the fire. To keep walking through hell as a Servant once told her. "Yes." She did not lie. That game failed even before it began and she felt foolish in even trying. "It's dangerous. Very much so. I lived through five years of universal imbalance from outside sources. Of the many Singularities, Sub Singularities, Lostbelts." She was no longer hiding. No longer trying to avoid their gazes. Instead of the skittish and meekful girl mere moments ago what now stood before them was a woman who had been through hell and back. Her eyes, despite being full of pain and sorrow held such fierce fire. "And for five years I have fought against that imbalance. Five years I sacrificed my tears, sweat, blood, and even sanity to bear the responsibility of correcting history. In those five years I have seen both wondrous and terrible things. For Every. Signal. Year. We have fought for our future and we have won!" She then broke out into a low, broken, delirious laughter. Both out of exhaustion from the talking earlier and for the first time in a long while actually confronting her darkness.

"I never really asked for some respite. Never wished for some reward or even a pat on the back that I did good. All I ever wanted, was to enjoy my time with our spiritual family. We celebrated holidays, had birthday parties, took trips to the beach and made barbecue. All I ever wanted was to enjoy life with them. But no, oh no. Life is never that easy and kind." Her laughter trailed out into dry sobs. Her arms shaking in intense emotion. She did not want to open up like this. But the fear of never seeing her Servants have pushed her out of the box. "All those years meant nothing to Angelarium. They were never in danger. Turns out all those singularities were happening in another universe entirely. To the Mage Association and Outremer, all they saw was CSO disappearing for five years. They didn't care for what we had to say. They disbanded CSO and split us up. The staff scatter to the winds and the spirits returned to the Throne. I was not so lucky in escaping the MA." She took a moment to catch a breath. Struggling to say these next few words. "In their eyes I did something impossible in being able to contract with so many spirits. In their eyes I was 'Unique'. They marked me for Sealing Designation. Their way of saying you are unique, one of a kind, or special in some way that the Mage Association fears you may die out and thus your magecraft may die in the chaotic world before they learn how to either stabilize it or replicate it.”

"And thus the mage association wants to turn me into a bubble girl. They must capture me and put me into a bubble until they learn what to do with and...And the best case scenario that I could hope for was a bloody breeding program in a similar fashion to breeding livestock! Fuck, to think I would've still preferred that...over what they had did. They proceeded to experiment on me in any way possible while keeping me alive. This includes dissection while keeping me alive because if I die, there may be a chance that my unique ability will be lost forever. How fucking tragic for them." Taking a moment to breath again she made eye contact with Ipwet. "That was my life for four years till DOR had sent me free. So I don't care. Search for them. They're probably out in the vast wilderness somewhere to regroup. Do whatever you want with them. Or in the cities, I don't know. A lot of them are guilty. I don’t care for them." Fear was clear in her eyes. The emotion that had made her lay out so much of her darkness. Her Aztiluth shimmering ever more so brighter in the darkness. "But. I won't let any of you near the FATE system. They are my family, our family. I'm not saying this because I want to protect other people but because I want it! And...I will fight you for them. I know I can't win, but I'll...still fight. I'm not afraid of you. Any of you! There is...nothing you can do...that they...haven't already done to me." The last few words came out slow and tired. This entire verbal assault has been mentally tiring for her. "Nothing. Nothing you can do." She repeated her somber words.

In spite of her bravado and clear willingness to fight for what she wants. Everyone in the room can tell that she’s not going to fight here. Too much of an emotional wreck to do so. She was no threat to them. The emotional outburst was clearly unplanned on her part. “Please…” The fire in her voice was gone. All that remains in the sad, smoldering pile of burnt dreams of a small girl who just wanted a reason to smile. “Please...Don’t take them away from me.” Don’t take away the only good memories she ever experienced. For that will truly make her alone. Her head hurts. So does her heart. The imaginary world around her waver. At that moment her mind was weak enough for Tarldor to catch glimpses of surface memories. How cold it felt to lay naked on cold stone. The cold seeping into her bones as blood was drained from her body. A memory of the harsh, glaring light that always seem to shine in her face. Memory of the air being thick with medicine to keep her alive. The deeper he dug, the deeper the pit of those memories become. All four years of it.

"Ah, just a simple hand down, quite understandable. That Patriarch sounds like a good man however, so I can tell you are in fact his descendant in that way! After all, such progress is important." Kissa then thought about it, "Trade? Of course! The Anubite Empire, and really Iammelon in general, is quite interested in trade. We're in a bit of a struggle right now too, so additional trade partners to help boost us up would be very much appreciated! Not to mention one of the best ways to increase understanding is trade, as these physical exchanges ultimately become intellectual exchanges eventually. Hm, I do need to ask one question however, a bit more serious. There was a symbol for a White Lion in the Necropolis that I went through, and it felt familiar. So, does the a grey banner with a white lion on it sound familiar? I'd like to settle that bit of curiosity for me."

Heulyn's emotional outburst and spilling of the information got plenty of attention from all three Anubites in the room. Tarset was horrified by the revelations, Ipwet seemed to get even more disturbed, and Tarldor clenched his fists in the first proper slip in his emotional flag. At the end of it, Tarset came over and just hugged Heulyn, patting her on the back. She did throw a look back at Ipwet, which was clearly a "fix this now" look. The glare was good enough to get Ipwet to act, and so she stepped forward to respond, looking back at Heulyn with sympathy in her eyes, "Calm, calm. I don't intend to take anything away from you. From what I can see, you are just a victim of what happens when those who should not meddle go too far. Here, sit." She clenched a hand, and when she opened it a stream of blue dust flowed out. It formed itself into a small chair for Heulyn to use, and then Ipwet continued, "It is clear quite a bit of injustice was done. Something that needs to be accounted for before it begins to spread and become active once more. For the sake of everyone. You do not need to fear us taking away the spirits you know. As you can see right here, we Anubites deeply value our ability to speak with our lost families. We would not take that away. In fact, if you will help us, I believe we can secure it. Keep your family nice and safe, and bound to the mortal plane in a way that is best for them and us living. My uncle being here now should be proof enough we can do that. Now, in exchange for that, all I want you to do is calm down. I'd like to ask more about this Mage Association, as they clearly have crimes to answer for. It is bad enough that they endangered the universe with their foolishness, but it seems they could not restrain themselves to committing criminal acts on just one plane. So please, calm yourself, rest. You do not need to fight here, not any longer."

Tarldor meanwhile went over to Ipwet to speak. He spoke quietly, though not so quiet that Heulyn and Tarset could not hear, which was likely intentional, "I will inform the High Lord. We will need his will in order to address this issue properly, and I believe Sethus would be the best at reassuring her right now." With a nod from Ipwet, the Spymaster's spirit disappeared from sight, rapidly fading away as it traveled a long distance. Tarset meanwhile made sure Heulyn sat down, quite concerned for her. She spoke softly to try and reassure the Amziel, "It'll be fine, Heulyn, it'll be fine. We aren't here to fight you! As I told you before, we can help! I am very sure the High Lord will help."

She raises a brow in curiosity and nodded. Raising her hand she touches upon the bark beside her. A holographic screen appear her her hand which she went to tapping upon. Calling her assistant Saeniel. They went back and forth on searching for the symbol that Kissa mention which given the length of their stored history was a bit of a dig. Thankfully Hepackus narrowed it down by bringing up that since it was a Hellas Necropolis connected to the network, Aïdōneús would have its identification code. Giving her thanks to the welkin she sent a message to the lord of the underworld. Several minutes later she got another message. A blue holographic screen, roughly the size of a laptop screen came into existence before her. Reading the contents on the screen she was intrigued. Clicking on the side screen again she sent a message to her assistant. “Allatu has been reporting souls coming from an unknown source correct?’

“For the past year Matriarch.” Her chirpy voice responded through the screen. Prompting Hepackus to look up to the throne. ”They said tha world was renewed about a year ago” He added. The Matriarch look over the screen. Her eyes of starlight semmily shifting in its golden radiance as she looked to where Lady Kissa sat. This has truly become an interesting meeting. Tapping on another part of the side screen the front screen flip around. Enlarging enough for the whole group to see. It was a casualty report. In the top right corner was the family emblem that Lady Kissa saw. On the left corner was a school photo shoot of someone mournfully familiar to Lady Kissa.

“The family emblem you found was of the Lloyd Family. That tomb in particular is empty, built by the mother of two daughters who were on one of the first colonies struck by Tiamat. She never got their bodies from the authorities who manage to secure the planet again. Heulyn Lloyd was sixteen years old and was enrolled in a private school. She was out with her friends on a social outing in the nearby plaza when the world was attacked. Given we have greatly studied the attack in whole there’s a recovered video file linked in the report that records her final moments. Do you wish to see that? You don’t have too, from your familiarity I get the sense you know this girl?” The picture of Heulyn was almost alien in how light she appears to be. How happy, content, and free of the darkness that Kissa saw in her.

The next few seconds were a blur to Heulyn. The sudden release of the pent up frustration has left her dizzy and light-headed. At first she wanted to reject the hug that Tarset gave her. Thinking that she saw her as a sick puppy to be coddled and felt ashamed in herself to think that. Tarset meant well, she knows that. She's definitely not the sort of person to be used on people with mental baggage. It just felt frustrated that she let her irrationality and fear get a hold of her like this. She let Tarset ease her onto the chair. Now coming to enough sense that she needed a moment of rest. To ease her beating heart that rattle her chest. It spoke of just how ridden with anxiety she was.

She kept quiet to collect her breath. Listening to what Ipwet spoke on the measures that need to be taken and the small offering of hope. It was almost cruel she thought. To have such a future dangle in front of her. Her pessimism was getting to her. She knew that. Her light was taken away from her so many times that she became almost jaded at the prospect of being happy. Was this how some of her Servants turned out? Being crushed under the cruel boot of reality and forgetting why they set out on the rood they chosen. Looking up to the anubite her eyes were more calm now. Perhaps, for just this moment. She could afford the pain to have hope. 'Here they were a family… an unusual, hectic, and often imperfect one… but that’s what made them perfect.' The memories of her family with Albrecht and the others trickle into her mind.

It took many months after a tragic catastrophe, but Chaulkuau had done the impossible. They formed a community unparalleled. Servants got along with staff, robots, and even some curious new additions. Most of all, they managed to get along with each other on varying grounds of civility. It wasn’t always cordial or peaceful, but with all the present diversity, it was still a marvel to behold. Departments, Cliques, Groups, and more. It was beautiful. Then than the Mage's Association came and burned it all down.

"I...I'm sorry for my outburst." She apologizes. It felt foolish now. Of course the Anubites would understood the bond between mortal and spirit. But her irrationality have clouded her. In acknowledgment of the lapse in judgement she is slowly coming to the thought that she needs help.  "Before...we talk about them. I wanted to summon a spirit I know." She did not want to say because he would be more useful than her. Not only would that make her appear weak but the spirit in question is not fond of her dumping problems onto him. He would want her to stand at his side than behind her. "Beside, you need a witness don't you? He will be a good start." Bargaining was a decent tactic to convince others. With that said she took minor appreciation of Tarset efforts trying to comfort her. "Thanks...Tarset" Was all she could say at the moment.

Lady Kissa was rather surprised to see who was supposedly the one in the tomb, or at least who the grave supposedly belonged to. Especially the mentions of "final moments", as that was rather ominous. But Kissa knew she wasn't dealing with a ghost before, she knew what those were like after all! Thus, she stared at the image for a while to make sure she was getting this right, and then nodded, "Yes, I recognize Heulyn. I know her. She was my assistant for a week and a half just recently! She's no longer in my service, instead being transferred to a higher ranking Anubite after she was wounded, but I certainly know her. I can confirm that Heulyn Lloyd is not dead. But, let's see this video. I knew Heulyn had a darkness and sadness within her when I worked with her, maybe that's the cause. If it is, I want to know, if only to help more later."

Ipwet thought about it, looking a bit apprehensive, though not entirely dismissive of it. She was of course a bit concerned with letting Heulyn summoning after that emotional outburst, and naturally a bit reluctant to allow non-Anubite spirit summoning to occur. But she was curious to see how Heulyn did it, and she did see that she likely would need the help if they were to get anywhere. So, Ipwet sighed, and then nodded, "Very well. Do what you need to do, and summon this spirit for help. We have to wait for High Lord Sethus to arrive, so in the meanwhile let's just focus on establishing information and getting you calm again. So, go ahead. Is there anything you need for this, or can you do it without any sort of assistance?"

Tarset meanwhile smiled back to Heulyn and nodded, "You're welcome, Heulyn. I'm just here to make sure you don't feel like you're surrounded by enemies, because you aren't! We'll do good by you, I promise!" It was clear that she was a bit weary. She wasn't fully over the attempt on her life, and clearly a bit emotionally unprepared for the crimes Heulyn had described. But, she also wasn't going to back down as long as she felt Heulyn needed help and a friend, so she wasn't going anywhere, which Heulyn could likely see in her eyes. They were tired, yet still very much concerned and focused.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

on Sat Oct 05, 2019 4:58 am
It was moments like these that remind her of the experience to had from where she sat. To see several strands of fate converging into a single shatter point. It was too much of a coincidence for these events to play out. Outside influences were at play here. Was Aoanno truly quite as her family were to believe or has the quill never left Aoanno hand. Has she for all this time been involved in tales of the universe but only on a more subtle level? Whether the case may be, she feels the threads are coming together. “I believe you, for I know how she may still breath. This video may validate that possibility.” She spoke in agreement. Hepackus tightens his fist but did not say anything. A strange expression befell on his features. The Matriarch click on the side screen. Prompting the link at the bottom of the page to pop up another window.

They could see a small plaza. Students were out and about enjoying themselves. To the side of the screen they could see a couple of outside tables. Once of which Heulyn was sitting at table with seemingly her friends. Everything seemed idyllic with nothing out of the ordinary. Off screen there were quite, distant pops that only one or two students seem to have heard and looked towards something in the sky off screen but do not seem to see it. At the table they could see that Heulyn and her friends were enjoying their lunch. Heulyn seem be to so at peace and happy. A few seconds later the crowd chatter suddenly die as the air raid siren boom through the air. The silence than broke into panicked and confused voices. Screams rang at as some of them point to the sky. Numerous large shadows swept over the plaza.

The crowd was sent into a frenzied mob. With Heulyn group still at the table but now standing in stunned fear. The camera shook as something landed on the roof. Prompting many to scream in terror. Snapping to their senses Heulyn group finally began to move in a brisk pace. The camera jolted due to the structure connected to it buckling under some weight. Resulting in the angle to be fixated on a walkway that led into a nearby building. Screaming can still be heard off camera as the video shows the students inside. Many looking behind them to which they widen their eyes in fear to something off camera. Some of the screams began to sound gruttal and the sound of breaking bones can be heard. As seconds fire by some of the fleeing students were bloodied. A few were missing limbs while others seem to have been sprayed with gore.

Heulyn’s group then came into frame. They were halfway to the reinforced glass doors till one of her friends trip and fell behind them. Heulyn manage to notice her friend and despite continuing to flee she ran back to help. Crouching to help her friend she was caught off guard when her friend pulled out a knife to stab her in the knee. Mouthing a silent apology she bolted to the door. Leaving the bewildered Heulyn crippled and bleeding out on the door. A shadow came into frame and fell over Heulyn. Taking notice of the shadow she turned around. Her face going pale as she desperately scoot back away from the closing shadow. A trail of rich crimson being left in her wake.

It then came into view.

Heulyn screamed.

A maw of endless teeth opened and closed.

*Chomp* *groan* *Chomp* *Chomp* *Chomp* *Gulp*

The thing swallowed the mashed body of Heulyn. Her blood dribbling down it chin. The other last thing to be caught on camera was blood being sprayed all over the glass doors from the inside. Showing that those things had gotten inside the building. In some twisted, morbid timing the video ends the second after the thing makes a loud burp.

The pop up window closes down. Leaving the throne room only to the sound of the waterfall. The Matriarch went to speak but was interrupted by the angry blacksmith Welkin. “Be ye telling me that tha sow still had souls in her!? i was there ta ensure that me specially forged weapons gut her open! over a thousand o' us were cutting her up!” His voice boomed in the throne room. Shaking it to its foundation. A stern glare from the Matriarch made him remember where he was and blush in deep embarrassment. Sitting back down while uttering his most sincere apology.

The Matriarch then sigh as she calmly look back to the gathering. “The outburst is understandable Hepackus. But let’s bring our guests up to speed first before we go into speculation. With that said. To give you a basic rundown Lady Kissa. How Tiamat spread her armies in Auinozoaun was by devouring entire population centers and using the eaten souls as an energy source. As Hepackus said they have gone to great lengths in an attempt to free all the souls in her gut. But as it appears that’s not the case. From everything that I heard so far. Angelarium Amziels were born from the Sea of Life and a year ago they became severed from it. Now an important thing. The Sea of Life is toxic to the soul. When Amziels were born a second time their soul has suffered enough degradation that they can’t remember their past life. On their second death, because their souls are bonded to the sea they return to it and the degradation continues. Two things may happen both which ends in the complete destruction of the soul. First being they are used as an energy source to maintain Tiamat Sea of Life or two, their souls goes through more degradation. Corrupting into a monstrous being referred to as a Zamiel.” She then looked to the picture of Heulyn. “You have my condolences regarding her being wounded. I can feel that you cared about her a great deal.”

She give Tarset a full smile. Her energy gave her some of the motivation she needs. Standing out of the seat she look to Ipwet. Truthfully she needs many things if she wants to do a ritual by the books. But as of now she lacks vital components of the summoning ritual to make it easier for her to summon a Servant. Only reason she’s attempting it is out of desperation, hope, and that one story she had heard way back when. A mage named Flatt Escardos was a complete anomaly in that he is able to complete the ritual without even meaning to summon a Servant, simply by "fiddling" with the magical energy in the area. The connection to his Servant is spontaneously established, and it is unknown if it can be called a miracle, luck, or an achievement of his own latent potential. It was this impossibly that she seek to recreate. Considering her track record she felt she had pretty good chances when it came to doing the impossible. “Thank you Lady-Lord Ipwet, I can handle this.” Standing near the center of the room to the pillar of light she prepared herself. Her imaginary space went away for her brain to ensure maximum concentration.

And as she always done before. She kept going forward. No matter the pain.

And began to chant.

”Let blood and bone be the essence.
Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation
Let red be the color I pay tribute to
Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall
Let the four cardinal gates close.
Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate.”

The pressure in the room seem to rise in intensity as her voice rose in crescendo. For Tarset she felt this surge of power before. Remember the sound of primordial winds howling around her. Only there were some differences this time. Blue static crackle around Heulyn body instead of arcing scarlet lightning. The marking on her hand was not as bright as before..

”I hereby declare.
My body shall serve under you.
Our fate shall be our sword.
Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Relic
If you will submit to this will and this reason…Then answer!”

For Heulyn the world have gotten light and bright for her. It was hard to even hear her own voice. Thoughts drifting back to more picturesque times. Cruising down the Purattu River. A spacious boat that glides across the water, affording a speculator view of Kuru. Paper lanterns float on the water. A Lapis Lazuli bracelet adorns her wrist. This fleeting moment is a golden treasure than cannot be replaced by anything.

”An oath shall be sworn here!
We shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven.
We shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell!”

Akin to before with slight differences. Electric blue clouds of energy formed into a fierce maelstrom that spun around the center of the room. From within the storm of raging power Tarset would sense something different while the others would sense spiritual particles coming into being and being condensed. The mass of both the spiritons and smoke were generating so much energy that pretty much anyone sensitive to magic can sense it quite a ways. Heulyn magic circuit, the pseudo-nervous system that spreads itself through the body and what qualifies her to be a magus began to produce a sound from the mana rotation which in her people lore is unheard of. She is truly pushing herself to the brink. As evident from the sweat being produced from her body. Her magic circuits were also becoming visible under her skin. Emitting a green glow in the process.

”From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three greet words of power,
Come forth from the ring of restraints,
Protector of the Holy Balance!”

As quick as it occurred the tornado abruptly imploded on itself before exploding. Instantly filling the room with blue smoke that carry the smell of clay and mud. It would then dissipate to reveal a stone throne sitting under the beam of light. Sitting upon it is a Amziel whose figure practically emanates majesty. His very soul is golden. His red eyes shone with a mysterious radiance. A blonde brow rose as he gives a subtle grin. “Hoh, have you called me forth once more? And in such an unsightly state nonetheless.” He states to address the slight tremors in Heulyn body. Her magic circuits still buzzing to the point of discomfort for her. Almost burning her up from the inside. “Yes. I’m Heulyn Lloyd. I’m you’re master, my king.” Seemingly amused by her spirit a small, flat circular ripple of gold light appear horizontally before the struggling woman. A glass bottle of light blue juice drops out of the portal. She manages to catch it in time and manages to drink. Sighing in relief as her magic circuits stopped burning and her loss of mana was slowed to a crawl.

“To summon your king in such an audacious manner. No catalyst, no reliant source of mana, not even a runic circle to draw upon the natural energy of the land. Such foolishness. But it’s a mark of your progress. Thus you are forgiven. Now, why don’t you introduce the guests to which you have moved heaven and earth to prove yourself for.” He spoke in a regal manner. Never feeling like he is ever talking down to Heulyn however. Said Amziel feeling flustered in being read so well but expected it. Putting the lid back on the bottle she looked over to Lady-Lord Ipwet. “These are Lady-Lord Ipwet and Tarset. Anubite heads of the Anubite Empire. My lords this is King Goljamush of Kuru. The First Amzielean King of the true Amziel homeworld, Eæireth.” While Heulyn introduces everyone, Goljamush seem to be paying more attention to Heulyn. His eyes narrowed as if he can see something in her that he does not like but does not appear to voice it.

Giving a small sigh he spoke once more. “A better audience compared to the last time I was summoned in an enclosed space.” It was not directed at Heulyn rather he was referencing some other event. Opening his eyes again he look to Heulyn before to Tarset. “You. Lady Tarset correct? Please do put my negligent master into that chair before I do it myself.” He half asked/half ordered the Anubite in a droll tone. While he very much approved Heulyn using him as the one to summon to display the strength of her spirit. He still does not approve the self-destructive aspect of how she goes about it.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

Lady Kissa watched the video in curiosity, and even if one could not see the video, the shifting of her face could allow an observer to know which part of the video was playing. The idyllic start just had Kissa waiting for the terror to come, disturbance on her face at the chaos breaking out, horror at the betrayal, and her eyes almost closing to avoid the final morbid end. She put her hands together and muttered a small, silent prayer to the gods, a little call for justice to come. Lady Kissa then looked up to the Matriarch afterwards, "I can see the depths of Tiamat's crimes, now. It was much more distant before, but seeing it in action, to somebody I know.. Quite horrifying. I can only hope any further such things of this can be prevented from ever occurring again. As for this Sea of Life, its name sounds quite improper. Though, I believe, if we Anubites got a look at it, we might be able to do something about it. Preferably, stopping it entirely by breaking these links. We Anubites have some experience in breaking such links." Kissa then nodded, "Indeed. I did not know Heulyn for very long, but she was a good assistant and a lovely person. She had a clear darkness underneath, but I believe I can see why now. I was trying to help, giving a good life and all, and it was working for a time. Sadly, she and I were roped into an attack, and she was wounded. So, I made sure she was safe, and put her with somebody who can much better ensure her safety. I am confident Lady Tarset will not allow that to happen again."

Ipwet watched carefully, as she could already feel the strain of this summoning ritual without any sort of assisting components in the spiritual air around her. Thus, she kept a close eye on Heulyn in case she needed to interrupt and block the ritual, if it was needed. Thankfully it was not, so Ipwet could instead note of some of its features she found interesting. The vocal chant was very interesting, to start off, as Anubites did not use their voice as part of their actual spirit channeling. Some did speak or chant while working, but it was not a required part of the process. After all, they spoke and called through the voice of their soul, not audible to the ears. The sheer degree of power that was going into this was also notable. Ipwet even threw up a small shield around her and Tarset just as a quick precaution. To her, seemed clear that this style of summoning spirits felt a great deal more... unrefined. She could not decided whether that was because of how these Amziel did it or if it was just down to the current lack of assisting components. All the same, it seemed to have worked, given the fact that somebody had been summoned.

Lady Tarset raised an eyebrow at the commanding bit of it. While the Lady-Lord may be rather meek compared to her compatriots, she was careful not to just follow orders from people who didn't actually have any authority over her. A small hold-over from her own personal training to be more suited to her leadership role, as she had to be the leader rather than being lead. Still, taken as a request, she nodded, "Yes, she does need to sit down. Come on Heulyn, sit. Let's allow Goljamush and Ipwet to handle the questions, you need to regain your strength." She of course made sure to get Heulyn in the chair so she could recover from that ordeal. She even reached into a small pouch and offered Heulyn a little bottle of water, smiling as she did so. Tarset was pretty sure she needed something to drink after all that.

While the summoner Amziel was attended to, Ipwet put her attention on Goljamush. She noted that he was apparently a king, but it wasn't of much note to her. She was more interested in the familiarity between him and Heulyn, given that there was clearly history between the two of them, "King Goljamush, hm? I am sure you have many a story to tell. While I would love to inquire about those, instead we have more pressing matters to do with Ms. Llyod here, your summoner. Or master, as the phrase seems to be for your style of spirit summoning. Particularly, about her relations with this Mages' Association. Is the name of the organization familiar to you?"

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

“It's why Chesron an' i worry aboot ishnar an' her kin finding out.” Hepackus spoke in agreement to the scale of Tiamat crimes. Given the late arrival of most of the Welkin they were there to witness the aftermath of the destruction. Saw the damage done in her wake. Those ruined worlds still make him shudder from time to time. “Typically if they be free enough ta return ta their true respite there be nae more links. However considering our error in judgement it wou' be better ta be safe than sorry ta ensure that all tha links be really gone.” The Matriarch nodded in agreement. While Tiamat may not pose any immediate threat at the present. It’s clear that something needs to be done to truly ensure that nothing will happen.

“Despite her fall from grace it’s clear that she manages to retain some semblance of her former Authority. Welkin have Authority over celestial bodies and space, allowing for world construction, event shifting, time-flow manipulation, kingdom-building, and other such powers of that level. While normal skills "accomplish a certain task by following a corresponding principle”, Authority works “simply by making things happen because one has that right.” Authority is also limited to a certain domain for a god. The Sea of Life is the representation of the domain she used to preside over. Chesron domain would appear in reality as an endless marshland and Hepackus would appear as a sprawling industrial complex. To start in serving whatever links may still exist. Your first step will be getting rid of whatever Authority she has left. I will trust in your claim but if you so desire, we would be willing to allow the Anubite Empire exports of any magical equipment that you may need. I’m sure Hepackus would be delighted to having new customers to produce for.”

The Welkin in question gave a nod. “It wou' be me pleasure ta make things for tha anubite empire. Tha ishnar be content people an' dinna require as much maintenance. So it won't be any strain on me time.”

“Of course she does.” Goljamush spoke in an assertive manner. Standing up from his throne it promptly collapsed back into mana behind him. As it sunk back into the earth he set his gaze upon his master. “As much as she’ll reject the notion of being a workhorse. Take note that it’s a flimsy facade. She’s quite proficient in worries and cares, but frankly unskilled at enjoying herself. Knows the value of living yet lacks the joy of life.” He is very blunt and perhaps a bit harsh. But his words still rang with the sound of truth. “Heulyn. You may have used the rulers of this land lack of knowledge regarding Amzielean sorcery to your advantage. But I, as your King will not permit such foolhardiness. Noteworthy as your achievement may be, if you’re to attend to me properly then you must first refine yourself. I will not abide in you running ragged in my presence.” His words do come off as self-centered by a first glance. It’s only when taken into consideration that someone could see that he’s being very roundabout when it comes to showing concern. And he does have concern for Heulyn. Just not in a normal way.

Heulyn could not really argue in her current predicament. Now twice as tired she gave no resistance as she settled back into the chair once more. “Yes my king.” She responded in understanding of his words. There was not much she could do to hide from them. He knows her better than anyone in the room. Setting the Od potion on her lap she accepted the bottle of water with a smile. “You’re right. I do need my strength. Now more than ever. But as Goljamush so aptly put it, I have the tendency to push myself too much.” She admits to Tarset who should actually know another instance of Heulyn straining herself to torturous levels back when they got attacked and becoming bedridden as a result for several days, regardless of the fact that she revived tremendous injury. Tarset could have felt the ‘outer soul’ manipulating Heulyn body way that it certainly cause great pain due to the lack of a lower spine. With these thoughts possibly in mind, Tarset would notice another thing about Heulyn. Below her Aztiluth on her right hand was a segmented line of interlocking markings that ran down her forearm. Making it appear as if the overall markings were in the shape of a rose across her arm.

The voice of the other Lady-Lord drew his attention. With the needs of his master being seen too he turned to face the Anubite. “Mm? The formality is dependent on the circumstances. For myself, to suggest such servitude to another is laughable. There have been only three in all of time, Heulyn included, that have attained the utmost honor of having my respect enough to refer to them as such.” His eyes narrowed at the mention of the association. “Ah.” His tone took a dark pitch. “Their name holds no value to me. There’s no mundane word under heaven that can perfectly emulate my disdain for those mongrels. They are nothing but an infestation of ticks...actually no. For even ticks know their worth in the universe. But for the mongrels, they have the gall to stick their heads out of the mud and ponder upon the sky.” It was safe to say that Goljamush does not have a good opinion about the Association. “What do you wish to know hmm? How they’re thieves? The hilarity of their hypocritical beliefs? Their indulgence? You’ll have to be specific. Their transgressions is boundless.” Typically the golden king wouldn’t be bothered in talking about such barbarism for what is there to talk about? But it would appear that even in his absence they found new ways to outdo themselves. Just by glimpsing into the eyes of his master he could already feel another vile act has been wrought upon his garden.

His anger quickly eb away from his eyes. For it was pointless to spare his emotions on such mongrels for long. Since he been summoned he finally took the time to actually acknowledge his surroundings. Given the presence of alien foreigners and the different energy flow in the world around him it was clear to him that Heulyn and him are another world which brought up a question. “Before we delve into such barbarism I require to be brought up to speed. It has been a few years since I’ve been dismissed. In that time it’s clear that much have occured. Do tell, what were their state upon your arrival? My current knowledge of those barbarians is that they were united under a single banner known as Outremer. Devoted to the concept of prayer and faith.” He lets out a sigh. “Most of those mongrels despite all their desires are weak, and so most will attempt to mask their vices, all in the hopes of obtaining a virtue which is incompatible with them. While it would be foolish for one to make light of religion as a whole, the majority of the masses which follow it are but cattle desperate to hide behind the principles that they build in their indolence. Despite all their attempts, the desires of the mongrels are not something that can be restrained easily, consciously and subconsciously. Though they will likely persevere, a cataclysm is inevitable. Either the system they created will invite their destruction from the outside, or they will collapse on themselves internally, it is only a matter of time. Regardless of what happens, however, the civilization of these mongrels will inevitably be pruned from the reigns of history. And even as I stand here on foreign soil. I can feel that a cataclysm has certainly occurred upon them.”

Lady Kissa noted that bit about this "Authority", as that seemed to be rather important to this situation. If that was a source of power, and Tiamat still had more of it, she would most certainly pose a threat. Though the Sea of Life being her domain made sense, it was likely why she could use it so effectively. Kissa then nodded with assessment, "Indeed, Tiamat clearly needs to be watched carefully. I will petition the Anubite Empire, as well the Iammelonian Union, to deploy observer units to keep an eye on her. If anything of suspicion occurs, we will act swiftly. It would be preferable, of course, to not have to kill, but it will be on the table. We Anubites are quite accepting of death, but it is far better for the balance of the universe to get souls to repent their wrongdoings and assist with correcting them if at all possible. But we will do what must be done." She then smiled and nodded, "Ah, tools would be an excellent trade good. I cannot promise that we'll use them to any great extent, as we Anubites are a people slow to adopt new things, but I can assure you many would want to buy just to have them. We're very much a collector race, after all! Though I suppose I should extend the same offer of traded goods back, after all it's only right Anubite goods are available as well for Ishnar who are interested."

While Lady Tarset didn't seem to like the attitude of Goljamush, she did agree with his assessment about Heulyn. She remembered all too well the last time Heulyn was injured, fighting off that Omnipo assassination attempt. That was a memory too greatly entrenched in her mind now, watching people get hurt and die for her own protection. It went without saying that Tarset had no intent of seeing such events play out again if possible. Still, she kept smiling, focusing on Heulyn, "He's quite right. You''re overexerting yourself, and so you need a good deal of time to recuperate. I'd bring in Almas to make things more comfortable but she's not allowed in this room. Cats are not good with ancestral areas of worship, don't show the proper respect. Last time Almas was in here she almost relieved herself! Not letting that happen again. Though, I am curious, what's this?" Tarset pointed at the rose, wanting clarification.

Lady-Lord Ipwet raised an eyebrow in amusement at Goljamush's speech on barbarians and mongrels, quite enjoying the language. Felt like she was listening to many of her peers discussing the people outside Iammelon, so it was fun to see that in somebody completely different. She openly chuckled, "My, my. Seems they are a very sore spot for you, hm? Yes, we do need to know more about these ticks, as you put them. We Anubites are rather interested in pursuing them in order to persecute them for their crimes.  One does not disrupt the spiritual nature of the universe without drawing our ire. However I do suppose it is proper to get you the right context for the situation. For an update on Angelarium; you were right. A cataclysm did come, and wiped the slate of the planet clean. Not all died, of course, but a large event started by one whose name was... Tiamat, if memory serves. Regardless, that woman effectively reset the planet, killing many, terraforming the world, and leaving only a number of survivors left. With the planet thrown into chaos as such, three powers stepped in to occupy the world and quench the chaos. The Firstborn Kingdom, Iammelon, and the Delmah Confederacy. Though I believe the Firstborn have withdrawn and were replaced by some other Empire of upstarts. Regardless, all remaining Amziel are under the jurisdiction of such powers. The Anubite Empire is quite intertwined with Iammelon's affairs on the planet, as our own space is very close by. It was our presence there that led to the circumstances that brought Heulyn here, to our homeworld. Any additional questions?"

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

“Your judgment is sound. You have my trust and blessings in whatever action you may take.” The Matriarch said with a smile. “No worries, it’s expected for any dealings between to be slow for awhile. We just learned of each other's existence only a few hours ago. It would be dangerous to rush such things along.” A chime was heard back at the elevator as Saeniel is seen coming up with a three tier book cart. Twelve 2,600 page Titles of the Pantheon Convention. the twelfth being solely an Appendix for the whole series. On the top of cart was a clear through case with two flash drives. One being for a digital copy and the other have articles for reference that the Appendix references. Scooting it over to the group she gives a smile. “Hello again everyone I got you the Pantheon Convention as requested along with a flash drive for the digital copy. The second being for context on what the Appendix talks about.”

The Matriarch gave a smile to her assistant. “Your work is very much appreciated.” Her gaze shift back to Lady Kissa. “I hope you have fun dissecting the books. The’ve underwent a few redesign over the years. Mainly to simplify it compared to the original number of 42 Titles in the beginning.”

“That they are.” His velvety voice rumbles with disdain. They were the greatest stain on his legacy. A blight that sat rotting in his garden for untold centuries. At first he had believed those mongrels simply could not sink any lower but lo and behold those ingrates outdone themselves again. He does not know what act they enacted but they have done heinous deeds towards his master. The true successor to his legacy. Just thinking about it cause rare emotion to briefly flicker in him, grief. This is not to say she’s a friend, only one had been his friend and he made a vow for all of eternity that none shall take his place as his friend for that is his worth. This is not to say he views her in lust either. Like his friend only one had been blessed to bed with him. However just because Heulyn is neither his friend or wife does not mean he doesn’t view her with respect. After all he does refer to her as his master, his equal, his partner. No where close to the level of his friend, but high enough to bestow privileges upon her that no one else has. She was similar to his wife to a degree, something about her had caught his attention. She was stubborn, never willing to give up. She was selfish, holding on desperately to her weapon even if it meant death to herself. Yet, she was selfless: she continuously dove deeper into the time abyss in hopes of saving Amzielean and returning history to its rightful place, even though she knew that if she too were to venture to for too long, all that awaited her was death. Truly, a humorous girl: nosy and kind, yet ruthless and bold. But now as he look upon his master. Her complexion is marred, eyes shrunken, posture tight and withdrawn. As the former King he knows full well what she remind him as. A prisoner that been beaten to an inch of their life repeatedly.

Listening to the new information given by the alien foreigner he found himself with a tinge of irritation. That not even in their downfall they provided some sort of amusement. It was pathetic really. “Truly, they represent the fate of all mongrels. With that said the news of their fate is appreciated. I despise every day that those thieves dare to build a ‘civilization’. It almost makes me feel pity for the parties soiling their hands with such filth. Floundering about with their nonsensical drivel. Preaching the most inane of concepts for how a civilization should run.” He then snaps his finger to which Heuly perk her head to attention. “Heulyn What was that thing that has been going around in some of the cities. It was something vapid in both practice and name. The crimson something.”

“Ah that would be the Crimson Axis my King. It was composed of many facets from some political sphere called ‘Socialism’. That’s all I know of it.”

“And the only thing you’ll know. Filling your head with such nonsensical muck is unbecoming of you!” He decreed. Not permitting Heulyn to be exposed to such pointlessness. “With that said. It gives me some degree of comfort in seeing where the mongrels belong.” He turned his gaze back to Ipwet. “I have exhausted all my questions. To which I’ll do my exchange of knowledge but again I do not exaggerate that the mongrels committed many transgressions. Forcing spirits into living bodies to create Demi-Servants, living weapons. Construction of crude generators that use Amziels as living batteries. Break the numerous laws of the universe. Experimentation on the soul. I can go on for days in describing every crime. And that’s just the Mage’s Association. With this in mind, where do you wish to start delving in that cesspool?”

With Goljamush and Ipwet hitting it off with the mutually shared view of mongrels. Heulyn continue to relax in her chair to recover her strength. Watching the exchange from afar. Yes on a normal day there is fear, irritation, and exasperation that came with the thought of this Servant. However, despite being pushed around by the King every whim, She couldn't help but feel a sense of trust and dependency towards the servant. With the thought of his strong, ever-confident attitude, her pessimistic fears were put to ease. When he was standing by her side, she felt safe. The main reason she wished to summon him as fast as she could at the expense of her own health. “Haah. I can’t get out of this now.” She might have been able to escape bed rest under Tarset care but Goljamush is entirely different. In the end it was worth it. It’ll be fun to be pampered and listen to the reason he spins in order compliment his inherent superiority and majesty. “Hrrr Almas is going to be my buddy soon anyways. King Goljamush will also like him. He had several big cats when he was alive.” She can already picture it. Almas and her lounging on the bed. Her face red from the rich wine that Goljamush ‘generously share’ with her. She may not like doing nothing, but it’s counter balanced by liking to be pampered by the king.

Heulyn took note to what Tarset was pointing too. A bit surprised that no one took note of it already. “It’s a combination of the Aztiluth mark of my Soul Relic. Below that are my Command Seals. Three claims of absolute obedience, the crystallization of a great magic, that a Master has over a Servant. Since Servants are unable to normally be controlled by Amziels, they are burdened by the ‘absolute condition for materialization’, the authority of the Command Spell carved into them at the moment of summoning. It...doesn’t really sound as foolproof as it does. The most common issue that it’s easy for anyone to steal a Master’s seals.” That and a Servant can very easily kill the master before they make any order they dislike. Or even ignoring the order if they have a strong will. The last problem is quantity. With the CSO generators she was able to regenerate one seal per 24 hours. Now with her poor mana reserves along with maintaining Goljamush it will take much longer. But in the end she doesn’t mind. “The shape of the seals is unique per person and are typically placed on the hand. But given that spot is taken its place elsewhere which is not uncommon. Whatever force hands out command seals does have an artistic taste.” Heulyn was starting to feel a bit better enough to give out jokes.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

on Mon Oct 07, 2019 10:14 pm
Lady Kissa was very happy to have the distraction from the rather unenjoyable thoughts of Heulyn in pain, again. It wasn't something she could do anything about right now, so she had to get her mind off it. The arrival of Saeniel with the books was quite suitable to draw the Anubite Lady's attention and interest, as those were naturally a big draw for any good and inquisitive Anubite scholar. She liked the fact that there was an Appendix for referencing in the entire series of books, that was going to be very helpful for the archivists who would need to sort it. So, she smiled and walked over to take the little flash drive, nodding to the Matriarch, "This is very much appreciated! This will be quite the selection to read through, but this digital copy will be handy for making it easier to read. And the appendix here is a savior for the poor Archivists would normally have to make one themselves! I am very sure this will be enjoyed back home. Thank you again for offering this!"

Lady Ipwet's metaphorical eyebrows were raised to the limit with the reveal of this "Crimson Axis" political faction apparently being dominant. She was coming to agree very much with the assessment that the Amziel under this Outremmer regime was nothing more than a bunch of mongrel barbarians making a parody of civilization. Their crimes were already egregious, spiritual and physical, but this was quite something more. They couldn't stop at torture and threatening all spiritual life with their foolish interference, apparently they also needed to indulge in evil ideologies too to complete their trinity! It was truly sickening to a educated Iammelonian mind like Ipwet's; that planet really was needing Iammelonian administration for its own good! Just more proof on why Barbarians couldn't be trusted or taken seriously, they always feel back on their base urges and worse nature. At least Angelarium had a case for civilization now.

Regardless of her internal pondering, she nodded to  Goljamush, "Nonsensical muck indeed. The rot of their civilization is becoming more clear every moment... At this rate I'm more surprised they didn't destroy themselves sooner. Spiritual meddling, criminal torture, and now evil ideology. Filthy barbarians. We Anubites are preservers of history, but at this rate we may have to make an exception and cleanse any trace of this old society completely. How fortunate however that Iammelon is now on Angelarium, and we can focus on bringing the population into civilization. As for where to start... Well, clearly we have a lot to talk about. It's hard to decide where to start in cleaning up the mess. But let's begin with this experimentation on the soul, the thing that prompted this investigation. Once the spiritual matters are dealt with, then the matters of... debarbarization can be handled. Yes, that's a good way to put it."

As Ipwet discussed the matter of removing barbarism from Angelarium and replacing it with (Iammelonian) Civilization, Tarset stuck with Heulyn, letting Ipwet deal with the spiritual king. She was glad that Heulyn seemed to be accepting of taking a more laid back role, happy that Goljamush seemed to have encouraged that more healthy attitude. The Lady-Lord then giggled, "Hehe, that's very good. Almas would greatly appreciate the more attention, and so it won't be hard to get her friendship. She already likes you, after all!" Then she listened to the explanation in interest, and then giggled again at the joke. She nodded, "I see! So it's a command seal for your way of summoning spirits, that's fascinating! Sadly doubt I could do anything with that, can't even do Anubite spirit magic so I am sure Amziel is out of my reach. Though how could one steal a seal? It's in your hand and skin, isn't it?"

The matriarch gave a light laugh. “You’re very much welcome Lady Kissa. Now, we’ve made quite an enlightening conversation for an hour now. But I feel we must bring this to a close for now. Considering this all started by investigating a tomb I have no doubt that there may be concern of the lack of contact from your group. So it would be wise for you to head back to relive them of their worries. I’ll call up Chesron for you to make the journey back shorter. It has been a great pleasure to host you in our lands. May we meet again.” Having made her goodbye along with Hepackus. She gave Chesron a message and moments later a doorway pop up next to the elevator behind them. Through it they could see what look like the same steps that they came down and started this whole adventure.

Goljamush gave a smirk in amusement ay Ipwet scorn towards those mongrels. It’s to be expected after. No matter what nation may grace the stars above. There is a sense of superiority when they look down on lesser species still flailing in the mire. Letting out a chuckle he spoke in response to the forces enlightenment. “Fu fu fu. A process akin to using your bare hands to crush coal into diamonds! A praise-worthy goal Lady-Lord. It’s the responsibility of all rulers to tend to their garden. To leave something to rot is to invite more decay and illness into it. As such it's our duty to trample upon such weaknesses. And ensure that the garden yield healthy and grand fruits. To make it grow to stand as a testament of its prosperity to the rest of the universe.” His contractor is a prime example of what the rot can do. Under his gaze she became a valued servant. Once, she could quell a goddess with a glare. Once, she stood unflinching to the calamity around her. But the moment she was taken back to the garden she was poisoned. Her worth diminished over the years, much to his disappointment but there is hope still. For to summon him was to summon an adversary. A north wind for her to push against. Considering what he could gleem from Tarset. Heulyn needs someone to push her. Hah! Such a fool! Doesn’t she know how far she has come? It would be most humorous to see her stumble in the dark all the while being inches away from the truth. However there is a limit in allowing such short sightedness for long. For he is the apotheosis of Amzielean, the judge over all their worth. If Heulyn wish for him to judge her worth once more than as King he shall grant such selfish desire.

With that thought in mind his focus return to Ipwet. “I won’t bore you with their ‘history’ too much. Not only it’s mostly counterfeit but also their excuse of a legacy will be wiped clean. Simply put they possessed the rationality of starving dogs. Stepping over and even mauling each other to fight over scraps of power. The knowledge of Atziluth, a form of mysticism spread through the rabble. Given such nature of mongrels their either misinterpreted, poses incomplete information, or simply did not care about the warnings. In their desperation for power they sought to reach the peak of Atziluth. Crudely banging at the foundation of the universe and poking through to the Auinozoaun Universe. This is why I called these mongrels thieves, for in their idolization of my kingdom they stole elements from the temporal history of true Amzielean to make up for their lack of identity. I don’t need to dwell on how foolish this is for you clearly seem to understand the depths of their barbarism. Ah to think I once thought that surely there must be a limit to how far a mongrel can sink.” He notes in disgust before continuing on. He brought up crimes and foolish things that he does know. Demi-Servants, Dolls, Crest Worms, Sacrificing Spirits, Magic Lobotomy, and the list goes on. For many Clans, Houses, Families, or whatever else the mongrels like to see themselves as have different viewpoints on how to reach Atziluth and their methodology in obtaining it reflects that. “Their survivability is nothing impressive. They are after all insects. Is that not what insects do? It’s not like their kind lived long either. When I was first summoned by Heulyn it had been 2016 years since they came to be on Angelarium. A pitiful blip on the radar when compared to true Amzielean history that they stole from and no doubt a blip on yours as well.”

Heulyn gave a slight giggle to Almas alleged liking in her. However, her expression became a bit awkward to the next question. It was clear to her that Tarset is still young to the cold galaxy so she didn’t need any descriptive answer. “By severing it.” Was all that was needed. Magi tend to be callous when it comes to ensuring victory. Cutting limbs to take control of the enemy servant was a common practice back in the Grail Wars. Luckily for her she never had any of her limbs fully severed.

Lady Kissa smiled and nodded her head, as the concern was very much accurate. They were almost certainly worrying a good deal now. She stood up and bowed her head to the Matriarch, "Yes, you are quite right. It is time I started heading back to base. I have quite a bit to report on! Goodbye for now, perhaps I'll return eventually for more! Never know with us Anubites after all. Regardless, goodbye for now, and I hope for a prosperous future." With that, she walked off towards the elevator. How fitting it was that she ended where she began with this rather unexpected journey. She had a long report to write, and the High Lord would need to be told of this very quickly.

Ipwet smirked at Goljamush's appraisal of her words, agreeing quite heartily with him in this reagard. So, she nodded her head, "Excellently said, King Goljamush. The garden of the universe requires constant pruning and weedwhacking in order to keep it clean and prosperous. Sadly there are a lot of weeds, and a lot of work to do. But somebody must do the work! That is the duty of the civilized people. Quite nice to find that there are others who understand these simple things, gives more hope for this universe." She then listened closely, and she grew disappointed once more with what she was hearing. She sighed and shook her head in sadness, truly a shame, "What a terrible shame they do seem like they will need wiping away. There doesn't seem much of worth to preserve. Iammelon will give them a history and society to be proud of, while we Anubites clean away the crimes and lock away the knowledge they don't need. Their existence indeed a sad blip compared to the Anubite Empire, or really most of Iammelon. Quite sad, but the fact they survived even that long with that broken society is a true anomaly in itself! But no longer. That history ends, the history of an Iammelonian, civilized Angelarium begins. Any assistance in that regard would be much appreciated, as clearly the faster the better for this barbaric planet. Lots of work to be done."

Tarset did frown a little at the brief explanation, as it did tell her all she needed to know, and she clearly didn't like it, "That's horrible! There must have been better ways, like transference spells or spiritual reclamation rituals! I'm sorry if it's rude, but this really does sound like dangerous unrefined spiritual magic! All the same, best to move on from that." She paused for a moment, thinking of a good way to change topics, and then smiled as it came to her, "Oh I know! Since we're going to help you summon other servants, what other servants are you looking forward to seeing again?"

“Well said Lady-Lord Ipwet. It’s not often I meet figures of slight renown that seem to understand how the universe functions.” It was also not often for the king of heroes to even remotely praise someone. He too gave a smirk to the recognition of his words. Beside Heulyn and that Albrecth boy it was rare for him to receive genuine praise. Not needed, but he won’t lie to say it’s a bad feeling. Listening to Ipwet he looked on in subtle approval. “The anomaly does have an answer. However it’s pathetic so I’ll graciously spare you of the knowledge.” He briefly comment. Recalling a caste of Amziel that serve as pseudo priest-doctors who go out into the broken lands and search through the black pits for ‘mud babies’. Because even to modern BR the Sea of Life kept producing infant Amziels. Most of which don’t live long due to Zamiel scavengers. With that thought aside he gave a thoughtful look to the request for assistance before giving a sigh. “Make no mistake. I’m the guardian of Amzielean. Its observer, adjudicator, and executioner. I had observed my people until the end of the world and the day when Amzielean reaches beyond my garden, the planet, the end of the sky and stuck its final note. Angelarium however, mean nothing to me. They are nothing but thieves. Counterfeits of my people. This doesn’t mean however that I won’t stay. On the contrary, I have a vested interest in Heulyn growth. What that may be remains to be seen. She’s a treasured subject who are those who possess dreams far surpassing their own capacity but constantly work towards them regardless without giving up.”

Heulyn meanwhile was still a bit awkward with the subject at hand. “There is better ways. But to most Magus they find it easier and faster to do it the old fashion way. Using a sharp knife to cut through tendons and bones.” She didn’t really have much to argue against the magic being unrefined because it somewhat is. Grateful for the change in topics she gave a thoughtful look before responding. “The main thing that needs to be done first is setting up a good source of mana. CSO had generators that supplied me and my friend all the mana we needed. From contracting many servants to regenerating our command seals. Without that any Servant I summon relies on the magical energy that I produce.” Heulyn then went into explaining magical energy to Tarset. Magical Energy is divided into two types, and there is a vast difference between that permeating the natural environment and that generated by an individual. Mana is a form of energy that is produced by the World. It acts as the life force of the planet and occupies the atmosphere. Od is the life-force energy found within living organisms such as humans and animals. Once depleted, the Magic Circuits that are stored in the Amziel soul will begin to replenish it. Od is produced as long as one lives, but the amount a person can store varies from individual to individual. Mana and Od are energy in its raw state, whereas magical energy is the name given to the energy once it is converted by the Magic Circuits.

The magical energy itself is held only inside the body fundamentally and if released in the outer world, it will return to the life force and be scattered into the Greater Source. This has also been expressed as "evaporation." Magical power is prone to merge with the fluids of the magus, and these fluids are good at holding in magical energy for some time even after leaving the body. Because of this, by drinking a magus' blood, one can replenish one's magical power. Magi with monetary problems have also been said to sell their bodily fluids, in which magical energy has been merged, to the Association. Heulyn briefly noted that the potion she is drinking is liquefied magical energy. Something that has not been invented in Outremer yet. While she had went over this she did not mention how close to death she was if she hadn't drank the potion. Tarset is already dealing with enough problems as is.

“Anyways. As for other servants. Well to play this smart I’m thinking of summoning a Servant to help invent and create stuff.” She guesses. Knowing it was wise to set up a foundation for future summons. It made her wonder and excited for possibly recreating CSO. Her right hand itches at the memory of sun bleached days that rose to the surface. Those were good days she muse.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

Ipwet smiled, finding that this spiritual king did seem to be a good sort. She wasn't fond of his attitude, as really she bet anybody would not be, but he did seem to have a good grasp on how the galaxy really functioned. Thus, she had to respect him. It was interesting however to hear his stance on the Amziel as thieves, "So they are just poor imitators, hm? Interesting to hear. Now I don't have any intent to challenge anything to do with Amzielean, as it is of no concern to me, and I won't judge it. But it is Angelarium that concerns us now. So, they are the ones we must deal with, and clean up their mess. As for Heulyn, she does seem rather capable herself. She gets along well with Tarset, and that to me is enough of an indication that she is worthy of nurturing further development. As such, we are agreed in that regard."

Tarset meanwhile frowned a bit at the mention of the sharp knife, as she didn't like the sound of that. It was unnerving to her, and her more innocent ways. Still, she listened closely to the rest. Mana generators were interesting to her, as she could really use something like that to help her get magic done right. She didn't have any of those circuits however, which meant the advice likely didn't transfer equally to her. It was smart to keep some things not mentioned to her, as with the more limited explanation it sounded nicer to Tarset. She smiled at Heulyn's excitement, happy for her, "Oooh an inventor! Who were you thinking for that then? Got anybody in mind or still thinking?"

Regardless, while they spoke, the doors to the chamber opened, and two figures entered. The first to enter was an Anubite in a fine suit, who walked with confidence and a clear air of authority. It was also impossible not to feel sheer power radiating from his being, every step feeling like it made a ripple in the space around him, as the universe itself took note. But there was another, more laid back individual. A Female Anubite in more casual garb. Her clothing still marked her out as royalty, as did her confident demeanor. But while she was elegant, she didn't hold the same authority the male Anubite held, and she followed behind as a clear subordinate. Seeing them enter, Ipwet and Tarset both quickly turned and bowed deeply in respect. Ipwet spoke up to the two Amziel to explain, "Goljamush, Heulyn, this is High Lord Sethus Rwim, and his sister Third Princess Kamilah Rwim!" The eyes of the two Anubite royals fell on Goljamush, though Kamilah gave Heulyn a smile and a wave, while the High Lord appraised the Amziel Royal carefully. He made a small nod, waiting for Goljamush to introduce himself.

Goljamush was not exactly thrilled about the concept of cleaning after the mongrels. Only reason he did not outright laugh to reject such a foolish notion was due to being with Heulyn. He did not need Sha Naqba Imuru to be able to tell that their road will lead them back to that planet. Heulyn clearly has loose ends that she needs to tie up. “Cleaning up their mess is a given. I’m not diminishing that prospect.” He stated to Ipwet. Even if it was not his garden. An infestation is still an infestation that needs to be purged with no hesitation. He rose a brow in slight amusement of hearing her opinion about his master. “Oh? Not surprise to hear about her affability. Regardless, our mutual agreement is benefactory.” He spoke in his own way of agreeing with Ipwet. It was clear that he’ll be staying around quite a bit with Heulyn which by proxy meant to be involved in her studies. As such it would’ve been less bothersome to ensure a level of tolerance between Ipwet and himself.

It was less of an advice and more of an explanation for Heulyn knew she and Tarset function on different systems of magic so it was a good idea to lay out the differences. “The first that came to mind is Monet da Vici. A prominent genius who provided a lot of influence on the advancement of civilization and who left her name behind in true Amzielean history. She was my first teacher, happy to bring me under her as her pupil. She’s kind and humble. Helped me a lot in those days. I’m sure you’ll like her as well!” She was also vital for she was a great inventor of Mystic Codes, a Amzielean word for items with magical effects. Whether it be a scarf to filter air with high density mana particles or creating a flying contraption to get across a desert. Her genius was truly something to admire.

Her first sign of something coming from the churning in the pressure of the room. The torches flickering between gold and shining blue, Their spiritual presence utterly eclipses all the rest. As a person who met powerful figures of great renown before from emperors to divine spirits before she was able to keep her cool as two titans of power meet. Her amber eyes fell on the pair that entered the chamber. The hairs on her neck stand on end at the sensation of power that rolls off the male Anubite. In mostly ingrained reflex her imaginary space overlap her vision. With her mindeye she almost shudder as the feeling of insignificance befell on her. The water part way to the passing of the azure monolith of power. On her other side was the golden radiance of a star. The universe too seem bend away from the majesty of his golden soul. No shadow fell across his golden armor and perfect face. His crimson eyes were too appraising the High-Lord before him. The imaginary water now surging away from them. She dared not imagine what would happen if they were to clash. It did not matter that her mana generation prevented him using his higher tier treasures. They can very easily level the landscape without much effort.

Almost sweating from watching the duel beacons of power she gather enough composer to finally react. Standing up from the chair she set the potion and water bottle on the seat before giving a respectful bow to the High Lord. Taking her place next to the golden king she saw the friendly wave given by the third princess. Returning it with a friendly wave of her own. Out of the corner of her eye she saw her king give a subtle nod as well before speaking. “I’m King Goljamush. Former ruler for the ancient cities of planet Eæireth.” He spoke to the High-Lord in a passive manner. Heulyn took the pause of the conversation her cue to introduce herself. “I’m Heulyn Lloyd of Angelarium. I serve as King Goljamush contractor. It’s an honor to meet you all.” She spoke with dignity out of habit when it comes to talking with figures of great prestige.  Let alone serving as the representation of Goljamush. Meaning that her actions can be reflected on Goljamush. It’s something that he reminds her of when she does something foolish.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

High Lord Sethus continued his silent appraisal of the Amziel King, his eyes remaining calm and composed as he tried to get a proper read on him. After a moment of silence in which none of the other Anubites spoke, in fear of interrupting, the High Lord then finally tuned his head to nod at Heulyn, looking back to Goljamush as he spoke, "The Lady-Lord of course has already introduced me, so I need not repeat that. I shall instead say I look forward to speaking with the two of you further. As High Lord, the reports I have received from Angelarium are most interesting, yet concerning." The High Lord's voice was very much composed, sounding more like he was reading from a carefully prepared script than just going off the cuff, but this didn't exactly seem rehearsed either. Instead, it was simple that his voice seemed to have just been purposefully prepared for it, making it instinct for him to sound like he had everything in front of him. He then continued simply, "The Empire is very much concerned with the crimes I have been told were committed upon that planet, and activities on that planet have only made cause to increase our concern. You will provide us with everything you know so we can pursue what needs to be done on that desperate world as soon as possible. And then we will fix that world. But that is a concern for later. For now, I am interested in the apparent King that stands before me. I have not met a King for rather a long time. I have met Emperors and Grand Drakes, but so far not a king, so I will learn more about you. Oh." He then turned to Heulyn, and took out a small datapad, "Lady Kissa sends her best wishes. A fair few interesting discoveries on that world have been uncovered by her, we will talk about them later." As the High Lord's eyes fell upon Heulyn, she could feel them piercing into her. She could tell that he wasn't considering her as Goljamush's representative, and instead more as a force in her own right. Staring into the eye's of the Anubite leader was like gazing into an abyss that had long been staring back, the weight of countless generations carried by one individual, one could get lost in just the reflection of what those eyes had seen, now singling her out based on whatever note was written on that datapad.

Then, the Third Princess stepped forward to smile and speak up, interrupting the intensity of the High Lord's gaze, "Now Sethus, you don't need to get straight to all the business. You're already giving orders. It is better to get to speak and understand eachother more, no? Well, not for too long, there is work to be done. All the same, how are the two of you faring in our Empire?" Kamilah was different to her brother, though while she spoke kindly, she didn't seem fully into it. It wasn't as genuine as it was with Tarset, for instance, there was something lurking in the third princess.

Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon] - Page 3 Empty Re: Ishnar Adventures: Timeless Mysteries [Eteru/Iammelon]

on Fri Oct 11, 2019 2:01 pm
What is hell? There are places in this universe made up of red rock and flame. Populated by horned goats and fanged serpents. Built for the torment of souls. But these places are not Hell, they are only a place. Hell is not a place. Hell is the absence of god. Not atheism. A thing cannot be absent if it was never there. To be truly absent, God must have been present. God must have a face, to turn it away from someone. But is there another face that looks upon someone when God has turned away? Does God have a shadow?

The High-Lord of Rwim has seen many things. Know many things. It did not need to be said that he possesses many lifetimes of his people craft. To glimpse into the windows of the soul was an effortless action. But unaware to most that are not of the mystic lifestyle there is a third window that leads deeper into her. That too was a trivial to gaze into for someone of his status. And so he peered into this young woman before him without contest. Beyond the band of amber and deep into the black. The long that he stared the longer the darkness goes on. Almost beckoning him further down the abyss. This was very out of the ordinary he would know. Every species has a certain amount of mental space or whatever they have equivalent to the method of loci. But here, as he looks deeper into the dark. There is no defined space.

There are two people in every mirror. There's the one you can see. And there's the other one. The one you don't want to.

There. Hundreds of meters down he would catch a glimpse of a red mote floating in the void. Upon looking at it, he was met with a vision. The echo of a memory long suppressed. Or perhaps it was a dream? It was too vague for him to tell. A scene plays out before him as if he was actually there. Standing upon a wasteland of shifting dust that stretches to every horizon he could see gargantuan bands of light that hung in the starless night sky above him. An oddity he could note that despite the presence of a wind that stirs the dust around them. There were no sound to be heard. Looking around he would notice someone in the distance sitting down. Arms around their knees Their bare back facing him. It was clear that his dirty, nude form was none other than Heulyn. As if noticed she perk up. Slowly turning to face him.

Who is Heulyn Lloyd?

The scene was shattered by some outside radiance. A foreign force would push him out. An ego rivaled by none. Out in reality he would see who had mentally stepped in for he could see the glare of his baleful rubies. His arms were crossed as he stood with no noticeable emotion. The glory of his soul became more bare for all the Anubites to see. For he had nothing to hide. Let them bear witness to the King of Heroes. To he who has seen everything, To he who has seen the deep. Not a dark place like the abyss. But rather the Totality of Wisdom of Amizelean, and all that Amzielean is capable of in the future. Let the universe heed his name. Whose mentality is spread across all corners of the Ethersea as if the brilliance of the stars, seeing through all creation. Let all know who stand between them and his master!

Kamilah intervention certainly had its effect on breaking the intensity between the High-Lord and King if only partially. King Goljamush shift his gaze to her. His eyes no longer burning as before but is more on guard. The Anubites can sense how his soul seem to overlap Heulyn own. Shrouding her mind in protection. The said Amziel blink in confusion. Having blank out for several seconds the moment she felt the presence of the High-Lord staring into her. “So far it’s pleasant to meet those who share similar thoughts on how to maintain the prosperity of the universe and ensure it flourishes.” Granted he only met Ipwet but if she’s the product of Anubite culture than it was not hard to see that the empire shares similar thoughts. He shifted his attention back to the High-Lord. “We share mutual thoughts High-Lord. You’ve successfully attained my interest in you. But first, surely we should have such a long discourse somewhere more suitable. Perhaps share a round of drinks from my personal treasury as a gesture of my generosity.” Heulyn was a bit surprised at hearing that. Yes she knew that you can be generous without being kind but it was still fast. Thinking on it she knew the obvious answer. He wanted to show off, tease them of the possibilities that reside in his golden treasury. Of what he could possibly have within. It’s to make a subtle statement.

Having found her voice once more she look to the Rwim siblings once more. Though strangely to her she feels timid when trying to make eye contact with Sethus. Not sure of what had happened but given the emotion of disdain she was feeling through the Master-Servant bond she knew it was unwise to press on it right now. At least till this intensity fades away. “Oh! Lady Kissa is doing alright? I’m happy to hear she is achieving things.” And not broken because of me. “My stay here has been well so far. Tarset is a good friend who have helped me settle in.” She responded to the inquiry.
