Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

Mon Feb 08, 2021 10:53 pm
He hefted his third and final luggage trunk atop of the stack he erected on the floor in front of his seat. Signing with relife he promptly sat down. Laying his back against the cushion to let the tension in his muscles melt away. The last few days have been very busy for him. Even for someone like him he manages to overexert himself a bit. Not much of a surprise to him. Being a workaholic has been his defining personality trait for most of his life. Fitting then that he’s moving to a world where they very much welcome those with a great work ethic like himself.

This whole last month has been more busy than he expected. At the beginning he thought he was going to head back to Valai after enjoying his time visiting a newly opened tourist destination. Then in the forests near the tourist town he stumbled upon an ancient prison that housed his soon to be friend, Richard Grimm. With his limited skill in Hoshizoran magic and cross referencing sealing magic in his birth universe he was able to free him from his confinement. While he was an Eskali, he was also very tolerant. And empathetic. He chose to put his trust in him and give him a chance.

It turned out to be a good thing that he did. Turns out there has been a whole population of illegal Eskalivi within Iammelon for a very long time. The next two days were fairly productive. Richard was given a crash course on modern society. Then they went out to find more clues about where his people may be. And they came to learn that they are very much still kicking around. The spirit of Richad’s friend Maravi requested for him to make her a body which he obliges. After a series of events they all set their course to Valai which was a good thing for him. Using a unique device that Maya gave him as a birthday present they all were teleported back to Valai.

He spent a week helping him get adjusted to the modern era. Along with other developments. Not only did he learn about how widespread this Eskalivi infestation was. But also there was another entity out there that didn’t have Iammelon best interests at heart. And to think it was happening right there in the open. On the day they return he meets up with Maya, a very old friend of his who serves as one of his valuable mods. Recently he came to set his sights on his new chapter in his life and decided that he should really start thinking about himself. He decided to take his relationship with Maya to the next level and made her his woman. In the midst of it he came to discover that she was actually this universe counterpart of his late sister, Lisa Loud.

Doppelg√§ngers was something that he already had a long history with back in his home universe. Therefore he wasn’t very taken back as most would. And while he doesn’t feel any special attachment to alternate versions of his sisters he is more sympathetic with them. Seeing Lisa’s memories did invoke that brotherly instinct. He was sure if his counterpart was still alive, he would want to see them be happy. So that is what he did with Maya. Binding her to him to help her rediscover what her purpose as a sister was.

The other surprising twist was learning that Liberty is actually Luan Loud. In hindsight it was rather an interesting similarity to draw between her and his Luan. Both being political activists with the Hoshizoran version being more of a revolutionary. Another similarity was that Liberty was his first friend with benefit while Luan was his first lover. It’s amazing to see how the universe seems to have brought them together. Typically he’s not the political sort. But one day, years before the Civil War he met her at an economic forum. They clicked and went to meet again on a regular basis. If she wasn’t tied up with her own affairs it was very likely that they would have become proper lovers before he ever met Alcra.

Like with Maya he felt he could now have room with Liberty in his life. Later on that week he gave Liberty a call for a private dinner. She was over in the new republic so she wasn’t too far away for a special night. And what a special night it was. He bought a private room for them, had a fanciful dinner, and the atmosphere was sensual. It was surreal now that after the fact he was starting to see that Liberty certainly looked like Luan. Seeing her in her dazzling outfit brought back many memories. Especially the more lustful ones. The night wore on and bit by bit they loomed closer to each other. Then he reached up to cup her cheek. Turning her face to him so that he could kiss her passionately.

Every after that was a blur of intense, hot emotions. The sensation of Liberty falling fully into his embrace spur him maddenly in their lovemaking. Even the act of having sex was different now that he knew the full picture. More personal. He wanted to hold Liberty and never let her go. To have her in his life more than she already was. However, he established a firm hold over her. It doesn’t slip his mind that he’s not in a position to spend all his time on lovemaking with his women. It was similar to his old life. In both then and now he only has a sliver of free time to do what he wishes. Being the workaholic that he is, he is in ways married to his work more than anything.

There was one other thing. His working relationship with Talmia, Alcra’s adoptive daughter. He had told her about his findings. Near the end she expressed a keen interest in claiming the rest of the renowned women in Hoshizora. A notion that made him worry yet gave it merit. Even though they seem to have not been contacted by the entity in over a decade there were still a lot of unknowns to them. And their current place in society made them a lot tricky to get to. The conversation went into what Talmia wished to do afterwards. It all sounded fine and dandy but he felt compelled to say he wants to keep Maya, Liberty, and Danika around. He’s aware that he is very busy and has got places to be. Yet he argues that they’ll serve a purpose with him. To his relief, Talmia allows it.

With that settled they continue coming up with ideas on how to make the best use of Lincoln’s position on the interwebs. She admits that Social Media is a bit alien to her so she prompts him to come up with ideas. Confident that he knows best with what she taught him. And he does. Enthralling prominent women with a large community of their own. After all, he knows that he’s not everyone's cup of tea. They have their own preference after all. Therefore if he dominates a diverse selection he’ll have more reach over the masses. Talmia liked it but teased him a bit. Saying that he shouldn’t ignore the male side either to which he reluctantly agrees.

After that he spent the next three weeks preparing for the move. Letting Richard settle in on his own a bit, besides he’s sure that he had a lot to catch up with his reunited sisters. It was a busy time. The biggest being stockpiling newly recorded videos to have them sent to a close friend of his to upload one of them daily. Up to this point he managed to get enough to last two months. Quite a few of them were quite special as well. Another special thing was having a big ole stream last sunday. Given it was likely to be his last one until he set everything up a lot of people came and gave him their support with the move. Which he deeply appreciates. He had seen a few comments expressing understandable worry about the planet in question he was moving to.

Trikorn was very distant with the public as is with all Trikes in general. As a result of that disregard it made a lot of false information surrounding them. While he doesn’t mind them only caring about Heord it was a grave mistake for them to underestimate just how significant it is to have a good public image. There were moments in the stream when he had to discourage a bit of racist thinking cropping up. Something which he always keeps an eye for. A lot of content creators often never call out toxic behavior in their community and at times even enable them. ¬†And he doesn’t want to be one of those people. He wants everyone to feel accepted in his community.

The light of these subjects made him think about the other positives in moving over there. Non-Watrike civilians are unheard of. With him living there he’ll provide an inside perspective of their society. He could help truly dispel the many stereotypes about them. Granted not all of them, especially [i]those[i] people, regardless everything helps one way or another. And with his spot in the public's eye he feels he can at least cause some change in their perspective.

Beside his videos the other hurdle was making everything ready to be transitioned over. Updating his documents with the new address, talking with his bank about the move, setting up a PO box in Heord so that mail is directed there and then sent over to Trikorn. And all the other things one needs to do to move to another planet across the stars.

The last thing he was busy with was saying his goodbyes to the friends and family he has on Valai. A few days ago his friends brought him out to a diner. Who had also invited other friends that they both know. From his end, most of them were people he grew up with in the orphanage. Most brought along their own families to meet him. They ate, they drank, and they sang. Long into the night he took aside some of his closest friends to make love with them. Securing them as his.

The last few days were spent having fun with the children at the Orphanage. Given he couldn’t bring everything with him decided to leave a lot of it behind for the children. Cameras, handheld devices, game consoles, a big collection of games and movies. The Caretakers deeply appreciate him for doing that. He started to pack up what he was taking through all the previous night. Partly because he was debating what to bring with him. One trunk was dedicated to all of his electronics. The other two held clothing, gifts, pictures, awards, sex toys, and other stuff he manage to cram in them.

And now he was here. He had texted Alcra earlier that he had gotten aboard the vessel that was making a special trip to Trikorn. It was a sad feeling to be sure. Perhaps this is what all children feel when they’re adopted and have to leave. And now it was his turn to do the same. For a long time he had felt he was going to live forever on Valai. The older he got the more certain that possibility seemed to become.

Truth to be told he was nervous. Who wouldn't? Not only was he leaving the nest but also moving to a land far different from what he is used to. In Valai he stood out like a sore thumb but due to his gender was quickly ignored. However, on Trikon he will still stick out like a sore thumb but he will definitely not be disregarded. They’ll want him to contribute to their society just as everyone else.

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

A trip to Trikorn was certainly fairly difficult to set up for a civilian. There were very few civilian transport routes to the planet, and Valai's starports had no permanent routes between themselves and starports on Trikorn thanks to a sheer lack of demand for it. As was the case with most planets, the demand didn't exist, so the Ether Barges did not take up the routes. This did make sense however when one considered Trikorn. The planet was not a major center for civilian affairs. Tourism to Trikorn was effectively non-existent, nor was it desired by the Watrike. Non-Watrike getting jobs on Trikorn was limited almost entirely to the military, and that of course had its own transportation network. Most companies even of Iammelonian origin struggled to set up on Trikorn, thanks to its regulations, security, and lack of Watrike interest in many products that other species may find desirable. And finally, the prospect of people moving to Trikorn to live there permanently was also not present. While nobody could say Trikorn wasn't safe, it wasn't comfortable or even cheap. The world was primarily a desert, and much of it belonged to the Union government and its efforts to restore life to the planet, carried over from the previous Excave efforts, and the planetary government was also simply not interested in selling its land for things it considered unimportant.

Lincoln however was lucky that there was a special, one time barge to Trikorn in the Valai Royal Starport when he searched for routes. This was due to the fact that a batch of Watrike Warriors stationed on the planet after the Union's victory in the Civil War, to oversee reconstruction and guard against unrest in the planet's new situation, were being sent home for their mandatory month of vacation, much to the sadness of the Watrike involved who had desired simple redeployment. This was combined with a one-time trip to Doth in the farther reaches for more proper civilian purposes, using Trikorn as a layover to refuel and resupply. This created the rare trip to Trikorn.

And so, he would be off. It was indeed a long trip, as this was a simple Ether Barge following a typical civilian route. It would be safe, as this route was consistently patrolled and guarded by the forces of the Republic Justice and Security Department, the reorganized troops of Bazaar Security. Lincoln would even see some of their ships pass by the Ether Barge as it drifted through the nebula. But of course given this particular barge's passengers, it had an additional deterrent to pirates.

The passengers were generally split between three groups, only one of which was going to Trikorn. There were a number of Valorians who were headed to Doth, mostly tourists who wanted to see one of the newest additions to Iammelon. They were fairly standard, just a number of civilians getting off Valai for a trip. The second group was a number of merchants, who were headed again to Doth, though this time it was for business purposes. And finally, the third group were those headed to Trikorn, which were primarily Watrike headed home, as well as the oddity in Lincoln. They were clearly a bit restless, not enjoying the prospect of their month off of work. It seemed they decided to also keep to their habits, with the Watrike taking up the task of patrolling the Barge, walking through the halls in organized, timely manners. The ship's security didn't stop them, as there wasn't a point. It would keep them out of trouble, the Watrike weren't going to do anything illegal in all likelihood, and if they wanted to make the job of the security detachment more easily it was welcomed. Though they were still not welcomed to the "crew-only" sections of the ship, nor did they try and access those areas. The Watrike weren't very sociable, and so the passengers were a little disturbed, but they did provide an aura of safety and security.

The trip would end uneventfully, nothing of import happening along the path. The Ether Barge would slowly arrive in the orbit above Trikorn. It was headed to a large space station to dock, rather than to the surface. Lincoln and the various Watrike would be instructed to disembark here, and take a shuttle down to the planet's surface after going through a security check, which would investigate Lincoln's briefcases. Outside the station, visible from the view ports, was the number of warships in orbit above Trikorn. Some were in port, others just on patrol. Regardless, the next step was the shuttle to take Lincoln down to the city of Korntri, the city in which Alcra lived, as well as her parents.

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

It had been a challenge to find a way for him to get to Trikon. And he certainly can’t fly there under his own power like in his past life. And he also knew that being a civilian would be tough to get onto Trikon. Over the years he heard many things about them. From the surreal militarization of every faucet of their society to the streamlined structure of their social structure. It wasn’t hard to see why not many people would go to permanently live there. And he could understand their reasoning. Trikon has no need for comfort and luxury. To him he finds that a tad depressing. But he’s one of the few who doesn’t mind the prospect of living his life there. After all, content creators for the most part live on the internet.

During his planning it was a relief to find there was a unique opportunity to get on a barge that connects to Trikon. For a time he was worried he would have to request Alcra to take them there. Not for sake of pride of course, but to establish to her parents that he was competent in overcoming hurdles with his own skills in using the resources available. It was a bit nerve wracking to meet them. Always is really. But he does realize that they may possess some large amount of trust in him. After all, he's their daughter’s boyfriend coming to live under their roof. Plus the fact that he’s a human civilian. Not some great Watrike that most parents probably expect their children to be with.

On the voyage there he spent his time on his phone working on what little things he could along with checking on stuff. Besides that he took walks around as well. It quickly became apparent to him how different it was to be around a different group of people. And he liked it. He was never allowed to be near groups of Valorian women. When he does happen to come into their midst he’s treated as some sort of strange other. While the Watrikes aren’t very sociable, they did make it much easier to make him feel that he could be in their presence.

Getting off the barge along with the Watrikes he made his way through the monitoring station. The worker was fairly surprised to see Lincoln as he went through his luggage. It took a few minutes given the amount he brought with him. Especially the electronics. Once that was over he made his way to the shuttle to get down to Korntri. Eager to see his girlfriend because it suddenly felt as if he hadn't seen her in ages. He was excited about being on Trikon all things considered.

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

After the Watrike cleared Lincoln's luggage, he was waved on through and directed to the shuttle. The shuttle itself was a smaller thing, clearly only meant for a small batch of people. Trikorn definitely didn't have the infrastructure to handle a large influx of civilians, only sending down small shuttles filled with dozens at most. Probably because it didn't need more than that, with most of the infrastructure here being set up for military matters.

The destination was of course the city of Korntri, which was a fairly large city. It was the capital city of the Crixual region of Trikorn, and so was a fairly large one. As the shuttle came down, breaking through the cloud line, Lincoln could see the general environment. The city was in one of the areas that was recovering on the planet, near a large lake, with a decent degree of green actually returning to the region. There was still a good amount of desert that could be seen, scars of the war that came before, along with some small ruins and old bunkers Lincoln could spot out among the wastes. All the same, coming up on the city itself, Lincoln would finally get to see Watrike architecture with his own eyes. The city was, to say the least, extremely structured. Unlike most, it was not some sprawling center. Everything was neatly built into standardized city blocks, and developed at a controlled, deliberate pace. It was not particularly beautiful, as many of the houses looked quite alike, with a number of important buildings placed throughout with yet more clear planning in mind. It was a walled city as well, with large gates at a few points, and large weapon emplacements along the walls. While at first glance the city seemed nearly copied and pasted, if one looked carefully at the designs of the roads and buildings, they built natural chokepoints in a number of positions in the city. And at those locations where people could be funneled were some of the larger and most easily defensible structures, like the police stations. There wasn't a complete lack of recreational areas either. There were a couple parks placed throughout the city, along with other buildings like gymnasiums and even what seemed to be a movie theater. On a normal world, the sheer consistency in the design of each building might have given an atmosphere of sadness and cold disdain, but not on Trikorn. The Watrike below were moving about at a happy pace, going about their daily duties with not a care in the world besides doing a good job. For all the military architecture on display, and even some soldiers on patrol on the sidewalks, for Watrike there was no oppressive atmosphere. For them, this was life, and they were enjoying it. The place had its own charm, although it was quite easy to see why Trikorn very rarely got visitors.

The Starport was one of the larger structures in the city, although Lincoln could quickly tell that it was a fairly small one by Starport standards. Even the ones on Valai tended to be much larger, and of course Korntri's starport was basically a dwarf compared to an Avalantine Starport. But as with the situation in orbit, it was small because it simply didn't need to be large. There was activity here with some ships taking off and landing, but it was mostly small transports from other areas of Trikorn, carrying Watrike where their duties called them, or barges carrying resources and supplies in and out of the city for their designated purpose. It wasn't very busy internally either, as Lincoln could see when he stepped out from the shuttle. Although he would see some Watrike transporting crates marked as "WEAPONS", one of the main exports of this city. Otherwise, there were some port officials and guards around. But this place was definitely different from the bustling, active starports of other planets.

And waiting at the main entrance to the Starport was a certain tall, female, Gatorao Watrike. Leaning against the wall in waiting, she glanced up and smiled upon seeing Lincoln. She waved to him, and then spoke out, "Welcome to Trikorn. Sorry if we couldn't prepare a welcoming party. Parties are not really the Watrike way."

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

Mon Apr 19, 2021 7:44 pm
Lincoln felt many things when he first laid eyes on his enthralling girlfriend. Strangely enough it felt it had been years since he saw her. A telling sign of just how bad he has it he muse. When he loves someone he centers his whole universe onto said love interest. And Alcra was no exception. Sure he might still hold his morals, morals that he unknowingly lost awhile ago ever since he started working with Talmia. He’s not the sort of person to cast aside everything he holds value in just like that. But he can’t ignore the fact that he’s mortal. For someone like him it’s extremely important to be grounded by people who aren’t like him. Simply put he needs someone like Alcra. He has to open himself up like this.

Among the many thoughts that shot through his head were lewd ones. And in an alternate universe under different circumstances he would have no problem with taking what is his. This is not a different universe. And he’s not an alternate Lincoln. As such it’s not in his character to act those out so brazenly. Besides, they have very much been deepening the depth of their sexual aspect of their relationship. They both understood the importance of public reputation. Meaning he has to lock away what he desires the most. And wait till they are somewhere private before he expresses just how much he misses her. If anything the wait does make the final release all the more cathartic.

Smiling in return he sauntered over to her.”No worries at all, luv. I preferred it was just us anyways. I missed you so much.” He let down his luggage for a moment to give her a warm hug before giving her a chaste kiss. Pushing back the urge to keep herself in his arms. He willed himself to let go. Grabbing his luggage once more from their place. “If I had any doubt about coming here, I don’t anymore.” If it’s for her, he’ll do anything.

His vivid blue eyes shone with equal amounts of genuine love and lust. Despite the flame rolling in his gut he was perfectly composed. Self-control is something he came to long master. And Alcra would be able to attest just how freeing it is to him to not keep himself within the limits he imposed on himself when it came to social interaction. Out here he can’t put one person over the other. But in private, when it seemed that the world only extended to the four walls of the bedroom. Only then can he let himself be biased. To completely dedicate his very being to her and only her. And he had certainly proven his loyalty crystal clear to her.

During those few nights where they indulge in each other flesh. Lincoln quite liked to use his power to spice the bedroom. And as per his nature he did explained what his power was before they had sex for the first time. Even brought up the fact that Lincoln is able to get her impregant. Whether or not she believed him wasn’t the point to him. It was to say it regardless instead of having it brought up much later. He saw it just as scummy when a man doesn’t say they’re not on the pill anymore. In short, Lincoln is extremely honest and always tries to make stuff as clear as possible so as not to create misunderstandings.

Once he was done ensuring Alcra perfectly understood what he could do. The fun began. Lots of it. Essentially he wanted to make her feel special and loved. To feel like a million credits at the end of it. He sought to make her feel unique in the amount of pleasure he made her feel. To love her in ways that no Watrike, no woman in the nebula could possibly experience. And he made her aware on a spiritual level of just how much Lincoln is committed to her. His old late lovers could spontaneously appear on the spot and he would turn them away. A goddess could descend from the heavens with an offer to become her consort and she too would be ignored. Alcra is the only woman he loves. And he made sure she won’t ever need to doubt that notion.

“I do have a bit of jitters about being in a new place.” Lincoln admits. Ready to start heading with Alcra to their life together. “But I’m excited. I feel I’ll do alright here.” He wasn’t like other humans after all. To them they wouldn’t find Trikon very appealing to live long term. He suppose he could be called an extraordinary individual.

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

Alcra gave a small chuckle at Lincoln's words, putting her hands on her hips, "Glad to hear you weren't scared off on the ride here. Better than many others already. But we'll still see if Trikorn is to your style, need to experience it before you can really decide. It's certainly a different planet compared to the rest of Iammelon. All the same, I hope you'll at the very least stick around for a while. I missed you too. Now, let's walk, my parent's home isn't too far away."

With that, she turned to walk out from the starport, and towards the road. As they were walking, it gave a closer look at the city. The buildings were bland, to say the least. Much of the decor one might expect on buildings in other cities was not present. There were stores here but they were not flashy. A restaurant was marked as "Kerala's Pizza", with a simple wooden sign point at the door, but nothing else to catch the eye. The same went for a convivence store, which was simply marked with a sign saying "Common Mart". If one looked into the windows, once more it was all quite organized and bland. Just rows of items, clearly marked, and organized accordingly. No items were specially shown, no advertisements being shown. The point of these stores was simply to sell items that were needed, nothing more. Although it did seem Watrike at least enjoyed nicer food on occasion by the presence of the Pizza Place, which through the windows one could see a Watrike child happily eating at, likely as a reward.

The people on the sidewalks were also an interesting expression. Unlike in most cities, be it on Valai or Avalantus, there was no sense of rush here. Korntri had an aura of peace. The Watrike on the side walks walked at a calm pace. When crossing intersections they peacefully lined up to wait for a confirmation light to flash, and then they crossed in an orderly fashion. This was how it was regardless of the actual activity on the roads. It applied to all. Be it the Watrike heading to their workplaces, the patrolling soldiers, or anything else. There was no self-righteous sense of importance that made people here rush to get where they wanted at the expense of others. Similarly the roads were peaceful. Everyone was actually paying attention to the speed limits and maintaining safe distances from other vehicles. There was no road rage, just the silent agreement among all Watrike to drive orderly and carefully.

Alcra spoke as they walked, in a casual tone, "Talmia will be visiting as well. She'll probably arrive sooner, but she already knows where my parents live. She lived there for a while before after all. So she will come of her own accord. Not for long, she said she has some work on Valai. Perhaps you can help her with that, if you know anything. As for my parents, I have informed them about you, but it will be important to be on good behavior for the first meeting. I love my parents, but they are normal Watrike. So they care a lot about rules and social standards. So keep your... special skills in reserve, at least until we have more privacy. Believe me, I can make the wait worth it." She gave a wink, and then pointed at an upcoming home, "And here we are."

The house was a rather unassuming urban one. A blocky house with a door, two floors, and a couple windows. It was a light grey in color, and the second floor had a small balcony. It certainly seemed affordable and simple, but closer examination revealed the other Watrike aspects to it. The door appeared wooden, but in actuality it was metal. The glass was fairly thick, and likely bullet-proof. The balcony had a thick barrier to it, which meant it could be a position for a shooter and still give good cover. And while the building was fairly blocky, it was also sloped in certain locations, and could serve as a makeshift bunker. The building was a bit of affordable urban housing, but also something easily transformed into a defensive position with a little work. And given who the inhabitants were, it was not one to be underestimated.

Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner] Empty Re: Stars of Faith and Splendor - Arc I [Eteru/Melon] [On Back Burner]

“You’ll find me adaptable in more ways in one.” He gave a flirty smile. However his eyes did show that he was taking this with a degree of seriousness. His smile grew softer when he proceeded to walk with his girlfriend. While he could be a sappy romantic and problem that he will stay no matter what. He came to learn that it’s better to prove that through action rather than words. It’s easy to say pretty words after all. With that thought he took a glance at the open sky above. He has always enjoyed seeing alien skies no matter how similar they are.

Lincoln found himself enjoying the peaceful walk with his enthralling girlfriend. It was easy to spot the things that would put a regular human being off. From the vehicles clearly not meant for comfort to everyone walking in the same rhythm. To someone like Lincoln however it doesn’t bother him all that much. If anything it was strangely nostalgic. The quiet warm air reminds him of the rural areas of his old homeland. And the orderly environment reminded him of military bases that he frequently visited in his old life. The latter is why he wasn’t bothered by the militaristic vehicles as well. He was used to being around and inside of them. Other than that he quite liked the tranquility albeit it was dully a shame. He very much subscribed to Anubite’s belief of moderation in all things, even moderation. Yes, they were safe. And he very much likes that. But there isn't much that spoke that sensation of primeval freedom like sitting in the back of a pickup truck as it goes down a hot country road. As they say, everything has its pros and cons. And people tend to forget that.

Incidentally the people putting the Watrikes in a bad light are people who live in a high maintenance consumer society. And he’s well aware of how old fashioned that makes him sound. But he still believes it has merit to it. People take all the fancy technology for granted. And then they are baffled to see people not living a convenient and comfortable life like them. They take pity on them even. Something that annoys someone like Lincoln. “It’s unfair that so many non-Watrikes hold low opinions about Trikon.” He notes as he takes his time to take in the scenery. “A lot of them forget that there is no shame in living simple lives. Nor are they any of less value than their own. There is no such thing as wasting time.We don’t own time. We don’t gain any time by doing something.” The Watrikes clearly enjoy the time that they have. And at the end of the day that’s the most important part in enjoying life to the fullest. “All things considered. I don’t see anything wrong here. If anything, it reminds me of rural communities in their simplicity in an abstract sense.”

Once he was finished waxing poetry he gave a grin to hearing that Tamia was coming over. He got to know her both in person and online. And came to like her. Especially when he thinks about how she may one day be his adoptive daughter as well. From that perspective he’s her soon to be adoptive father. “That’s nice to hear, luv! I’m excited to see her again. I’ll be happy to help her however I can.” Then he gave an understanding nod when she brought up her parents. Meeting the Parents was always one of the biggest matches in the thunderdome no matter the society. “I’m eager to meet the couple who brought someone as amazing as you into this world.” He wasn’t too worried at the end of the day. Dealing with regular Watrikes seems like something he can handle. After all he’s friends with Talmia.

He has a smile in response to her wink. “Oh be rest assured, my belief in you isn't to be questioned.” Putting his flirt mode on standby he straightened himself up when they came near her parent’s house. Now he was finally here it felt surreal. And he was sure he was going to have more of these moments that tell him that he was truly flying away from his old nest. Other than that the house looked alright. He quite liked the outdoor balcony. The thought of building an outside patio swing chair in the corner came to mind. Perhaps he could ask permission to build one later. He’s quite fond of them. Taking a breath he kept walking alongside his girlfriend. Wondering if her parents know they were here by some form of hidden cameras. It would surprise him if they don’t as they’re fairly common for non-watrike homes.
