The Story thus far
- The Letter - E:
- The demons run when a good mare goes to war
Informal Letter to the Zantines
Dear Emperor Maximanius, Soul of the Zantine Emperor
The words that I write upon this parchment is with a heavy yet clear heart. Most importantly I want to stress the truth that we, the people of Equusalem love you and your people. The universe may try to divide us as it has time and time again but it will never break our bonds. For friendship is a concept that transcends time, space, memory, and even death. It did not bend to the Gate-Hoppers, the Eskavari, or even to the Psions. We did not survive out of superior tactics or technology, no we survived because we believe in each other. Supported each other in the darkest of times and never, ever lose hope. Even when time marches on and the great wars become a mere side note in a history book. The bonds we shared, the lessons we learned, will never be forgotten. Even when the stars themselves burn out.
It’s for this reason that while we stand on opposite sides of the line, Equusalem will never raise a fist to strike at Zantine. It’s idealistic, but you know it’s simply our way. We’ll never harm you because we love you. Just as we love all of Equusalem friends. We know that you may not view the same way. Nothing other than goodwill or honor would stop you from taking advantage of the bond that run between us. It’s after all, the perfect weak spot. Call us foolish if you wish, but we won’t care. For we know that life is harsh, that bad things have to happen in order for us to appreciate the good. Even in a time of war, our borders are still open to the Zantine. Trade will still flow among our stars. And friendship will always be maintained between the Equusalemites and the Zantines.
With the utmost of blessings, Princess Aarushi Chamak. Violet Cardinal of Equusalem.
“So, how does it sound?” Inquired the alicorn mare to her two personal advisors as she sat on the side of a round oak table. The advisors in question were both diplomats that hail from the Zantine and Anubite Empire respectively. They came into her court well before the civil war broke out and were fairly close friends. There was a sense of being a group of ‘old guards’ when they conversed in political affairs due to the age of their nations. Like in history the two served as a medium for Equusalem to speak to either empire. Such was the case this evening when they went over the decision made by the council to join the war.
“It certainly has that trademark Equusalemite cheesiness. If I was any of the younger races I would have missed the subtle subtext completely.” Was the response that came from the well groomed Zantine diplomat. “Perfect weak spot my rear. Perfect because it’s perfect. No sane ruler would point out a flaw to another ruler and ignore it.”
The Anubite nodded with his fellow diplomat. “From the setup I’m assuming you’re testing how much the Emperor know of ancient history?” He directed the hypothesis to the cardinal who gave a smile in return.
“Equusalem has been a quiet nation. You two know this. For the past millennium we’ve mostly stayed to ourselves. All the while preaching about harmony and peace.” As such it gave way to an unflattering image of Equusalem in some Iammelonian eyes.
“Leading to people like Monrio to believe that Equusalem is a pushover, that it’s a parasite that relies on the Iammelonian navy for protection.” The Zantine finish the rest of her train of thought. He had a strong feeling that it was why he didn’t bother to pay heed to Equusalem, believing them to pose not enough of a threat to deal with them. Considering Equusalem doesn’t flaunt their navy, Monrio might even believe that Equusalem don’t even have a navy.
“Wordplay aside, this is a good enough letter Aarushi. It gets the point across.” The Anubite complimented.
“Much appreciated.” She had been stuck on the letter for a few hours. Sometimes she would begin writing only to erase it.
“I’ll make sure it’ll be delivered through the correct channels.” The Zantine ensure his old friend. Knowing that if fell in the wrong hands they may try to take advantage of this.
“Thank you, I appreciate it.” She warmly said.
“If that’s all I believe we’re done here for today?” The Anubite asked his fellows.
“We’ve exhausted everything that needed to be said. So we’re free to go our separate ways for now. May ALL of us come home safe and sound.” With that said the group got out from their seats and gave a group hug before parting. The two diplomats leaving the alicorn in the meeting room as they both exit out into the hallway. The Anubite diplomat was tasked to bring the news that Equusalem will side with the union to Tyrf. Meanwhile the Zantine will bring the letter to Istanbull stating that all ongoing treaties between them are still ongoing and that Equusalem will never attack them.
- The Reply - M:
- A Few Days Later - Instabull, Imperial Konstantinopl Palace
The Equusalemian letter traveled for quite a while to reach the Imperial Palace on Instabull, and a fair few security checks to ensure it was genuine and not a Union trick or carrying anything dangerous besides the letter itself. Regardless, it passed the checks and soon the diplomat carrying it was walking through the Imperial Palace to personally deliver it to Emperor Maximanius. The Emperor was in his study, taking some time alone to read some texts on warfare, to help him consider the next step of his Empire's offensive westwards. That was when the diplomat arrived, placing the letter in front of him, "There's the news from the Violet Cardinal, your majesty. Not the worst outcome, but I believe it's something you should see for yourself."
"Very well. I'll take a look then at what our friends in Equusalem have to say. In the meantime, you are dismissed." The Emperor's tone was clear, and so the diplomat bowed and moved to leave. In the meanwhile, Maximanius picked up the note. He looked side to side, noting that the only ones in the room were his contingent of Rangian Vanguard personal guards, Taurus who he trusted, and was satisfied he could read it in peace. And so, he did, frowning somewhat but not entirely displeased. It was about what he had to admit he expected, but it was a shame nonetheless. Leaning back in his chair, he sighed, speaking softly to himself, "Well, it takes one weight off my shoulder. Monrio will certainly not be as happy, but the Empire doesn't act for his sake. Our own obligations will be upheld. Besides, striking north was never in the plans, we keep going west and take back what is ours. I'll let Omnipo and the Valorians worry about the north. Although... This is opportunity of another sort. The Empire will come out of this war better than when it entered, no matter which side wins. I have already seen to that with the Ghashyr. This provides me with yet another means of ensuring the Empire will only gain, no matter how the war goes." He turned his head to one of the Rangian Vanguards in the room, and spoke with an authoritative command, "Zendros! Fetch Prince Leonious and Princess Caldera! I'm sending my children on a mission northwards, to see about this friendship treaty lasting, and a bit more. I have a few special parameters..." The Taurus saluted the Emperor, and moved off to grab the two named royals, and bring them to their father so he could explain their role in the upcoming future.
Around the same time the Imperial Shuttle carrying the two royals north set off, the Anubite diplomat's letter reached the Golden Mountain, and the Iammelonian Union happily accepted the aid of Equusalem in the Iammelonian Civil War, with Tyfrondor thanking their council for this wise decision. Not to mention, also preparing some diplomats of his own to send off North for coordination in the war, as well as his own special mission.
- The Voyage - E:
- For a nation officially at war the Imperial Shuttle would be met with no real difference as it took the common Ethersea lane to Spursepolis. There were a transport barge here and there but no increase of military vessels that one might expect. If nothing else it gave them a grand view of the Equusalem sea. Southern Equusalem is known to be met with dense fog banks that from time to time would consolidate into Ether storms. Thankfully the fog that tends to choke the lane is light enough for the distant starlight to cause a minor scattering effect through the Ether. Sending reddish purple rainbows over the Ethersea. Creating a moving canvas of vivid sweeping colors. It took a few more hours of sailing through the cosmic light show before they caught the signs of nearing the system. Within the fogs they could make out dark shapes under the waves. One was near enough that they could see a section of some hull sticking out, heavily degraded from centuries of corrosion from the Ether. These were ships that sank long ago during the Dark Age. As if to further to cement that fact, their vessel cruise by what seemed to be a strange triangular mountain. Upon closer inspection it was the now sunk behemoth that was a part of the five Great Ascendance Armadas that came to wreck havoc on Iammelon so many centuries ago. For its age it was almost in perfect shape which could be amounted to the Eskavari vastly superior engineering. They could still even see the damage on the ship which is suprising if one knows Equusalem doctrines. They only use non-lethal weaponry on their fleet ships so for them to figuratively take off their kids gloves to fight these things goes to show just how much a threat the Eskavari were. As if to insult the Eskavari dignity they could see a broad holographic sign on the hull that reads "Spursepolis Spaceport next 13 Madrils". Passing the dead behemoth they would come along a few more shipwrecks along the way. Most of which were long scrapped for parts. Finally they come into sight of the fairly grand spaceport that was still not showing signs of increased activity. But given the Equusalem method of lurking within the fogs they can't say for certain. Getting the all clear signal from the station command they would be free to land on the world.
-----
The Union vessel containing the diplomats made a safe voyage to Myceneigh, the mighty fortress world of Equusalem and the base of operations for planning out a war. Myceneigh is known for its sub-temperate environment. Dense coastal forests and towering mountain ranges that are ridden with many military installations. It has a active, stormy hydrosphere with stark differences between snowy winters and short warm summers. The former which is what the world in undergoing at the current moment. The skies were clear and many flying vehicles can be seen flying above the mountain peaks. Between the sweeping valleys of snow caped mountains was a open shuttle pad for the for the vessel. When landed upon a portion of the ground will begin to lower. Lowering the shuttle down into a very larger hanger that houses many other space faring crafts. Near the descending platform was a small group of personal to greet their Iammelonian friends. At the front was a somewhat young Eoamhnna stallion in standard military uniform. Judging from his rank he was an Major General. His ears would perk up when he sees their visitors come down the shuttle ramp. "Welcome to Myceneigh friends, I'm Major General Fatehjit Bolorerdene. I'm here to greet you and give a lay of the land." He spoke in a friendly manner. Myceneigh was a very big world with interconnecting bases so it can be quite overwhelming for visitors to get around.
- The Greeting - M:
- The Zantines aboard the shuttle enjoyed the dead Eskavari vessels, and the insult to the dead invader species' dignity as well. After all, the Eskavari were one of Iammelon's great invaders, and defeating them was a proud part of their history. It was for good reason that the Iammelonian less-than-polite word for foreigner was "eskalivi", a butchered version of the foul invader's name. Thus, passing by this graveyard was enjoyable for the Zantines, but they had their main job to do. With the signal, the shuttle moved down to land at an available landing zone, and calmly plopped itself down with landing gear ready. Once the ramp was down, the occupants of the shuttle exited. First out were a number of Taurus Rangian Vanguard, the personal protectors of the two royals within, marching in step to secure the area for their respective liege. Second out were the personal retinues of the Imperials, friends and assistants. And then finally came out Prince Leonious and Princess Caldera, children of the Emperor. Prince Leonious wore his personal suit of armor, which was a rather old antique of the family. It was in no way power armor, and simply an intricate set of plate, gifted to the Lasacris family long ago by the Ialao. Princess Caldera was more humble, wearing more simple clothing and being willing to show her red hair, something uncommon in the oft raven-haired Lasacris family.
Looking around at their landing spot, the two royals stretched after their long journey. "Well then, Cally. Time to get to work, we'll have to find somebody to talk to. Let's hope Father's plans work out. Not the type I would say is great at plotting," casually commented Leonious, looking about to see if anybody would come to greet them.
The Princess, stretching her back, gave a nod, "Well, he's more than he looks to be on the surface you know. Though maybe the fact you can't see that so well is why you aren't the favored child, hm?" While that got an aggressive glare from her elder brother, he didn't have a good response and so had to concede the point. Instead, they simply moved out, leaving behind a few people to watch the shuttle.
---
Over on Myceneigh, the Union Shuttle had happily come to the Fortress World to get involved with Equusalem's military efforts. After all, this was an Iammelonian war, so Iammelon needed to be involved in all ways for the sake of legitimacy. But this did not mean their new allies were unappreciated, far from it in fact. That is why they were happily welcome in, as friends keeping their bonds so close in such a fashion was certainly quite appreciated by Iammelon. Foreign friends were difficult to come across, after all, or at least they were to Iammelonians who believed all foreigners were naturally inclined towards barbarism. So to them, it was always nice to speak with those that had "overcome their base non-Iammelonian nature", to put it politely. Regardless, that attitude was put away for this meeting, considering its importance.
Exiting the shuttle were three Union leaders. An Anubite Lord, a female Watrike General, and a Human Admiral. The Lord was the one to speak, as he was best with diplomacy. He smiled, nodding his head, "A pleasure to meet you, Fatehjit. I am Lord Aersoket, and I am with General Leshtia and Admiral Caldscore. Thank you for the offer to guide, it is much appreciated. We're also here by the way, for later, to set up a direct and secure communications link to the Grand Drake for emergencies. But that can wait. Please, show us around."
- The Discourse - E:
- The landing pad was a top of a somewhat large three story building that was intended for VIP craft. It would've disrespectful if they were grouped up with the common masses. Around them they could see many elements of Zantine architecture in the surrounding building. A telltale sign that they were within Constantineighple, the Peerless City. From the clear skies above they could tell it was a step above the other cities in terms of quality. No tinge of pollution on the breeze and the hovercrafts that fly around gave hardly a sound. To the north of them the pair would see a large room made out of glass. Inside was a reception area with the desk being currently manned by three employees. To the side they could see a open concept stair case that most likely lead them to the floors below.
---
"A honor to meet such a fine group, truly." The stallion spoke in response to the thanks with a polite smile. "That's definitely something that needs to be addressed with due haste. Most of our modern lines is tied to the south. So we'll go over that after the tour. Speaking of which let's take a stroll." With that said Fatehjit led them out of the hanger proper and into the base. All the meanwhile giving a basic rundown on Equusalem logistics and assets for the war effort. Addressed the state of their navy to the group and stated that they are admittedly not fully recovered from the Dark Age. Having pooled most of their funding in vital projects of importance. One of which he said he is bringing them too to show what they have been tinkering with the past millennium. Going back to the navy subject he clarified that the navy is not in a bad shape but in way that it would not threaten Omnipo naval superiority.
As they all huddle together in a elevator that was currently lowering them to who knows how deep the Major General went back to talking about one of the projects that they have in the works. "Now I just want to say that I'm only well read when it comes to the hard science so there are some things that I can't explain properly, I'll leave that to the brighter folk downstairs. Anyhow, the idea behind this project came from multiple things. Mainly during the Fifth Era with the appearance of the Elemental Bearers. For a quick summary they were individuals who for some reason held the power to tap into some cosmological force that we Equusalemites call Harmony. It was originally believed that they used gemstones to call upon this power source but it turned out that when the gemstones were destroyed they did not need it, instead it was inside of them all the long. Longer than they were discovered as the bearers. This revelation led to a stir in the Equusalem think tank. Equidaen were now trying harder to discern the nature of 'Harmony'. What or who is the [Greater Intelligence] that gave [Selected Individuals] the privilege to use [Exotic Energy]. An myriad of hypothesis came to be to crack the mystery. Some about some divine vampires at the birth of the galaxy, some deconstructed Psion ideas in their quest for power, and one even tried to find answers in Anubite culture. All over my head to be honest." With that statement the elevator finally came to a stop.
The doors slid open to reveal a long glass corridor that connected to a large building. The elevator they were in was a part of a large tower that support the immense biodome. The ceiling was composed of hexagon shape pieces of strange material that when activated gave a realistic image of a clear sky. Around them was 'seemly boundless woodlands and rolling hills but they can tell from the radius of the walls that the surface area is about ten miles. Fatehjit strode forward and began to speak to the group. "To summarize. A group of scholars came together to petition an idea they had to the council. Which hypothetically, construct a 'echo chamber for the [Greater Intelligence] to bring beings of immense power into existence. Now what they are I don't know, I gotten about three different answers from the same scientist alone. So these could be literal embodiments of [Greater Intelligence] traits, aspects, or perhaps electron ghosts. Whichever the case is, we've successfully made avatars for the [Greater Intelligence] to commune with us. Opening the door to many possibilities." They came to a heavily secured metal door that after a lengthily moment of going through the proper security procedures the door opened to a large, well-equipped laboratory. "Let's head to the observatory, they are quite something to look at that. In the meanwhile do any you have any questions or concerns so far?"
---
The sea is expansive. A rhetorical statement that every sentient knows but never truly grasps it. Many things can become lost at sea and never be found for thousands of years. Places that only the most dedicated of scholars can know. Much like Aarushi Chamak the Violet Cardinal. As expected of her blood and position she has the privileged of knowing things that the common folk do not. But she is not the hoarder type, She does not lock them behind a vault never to be seen again. She is far more open than that. Perhaps it was for this reason that she sent a letter to the Cyboar representatives on Catalhayuk requesting a 'friendly discourse on the state of affairs' at the given coordinates. But when one reads the coordinates they will notice something strange. If the coordinates were correct it pointed to a empty region of the Ethersea. Nothing is charted there, no deep sea outposts or even systems were nearby. A seemly unimportant void. Yet Aarushi does not seem to type to give false information and certinally not the type to make a obvious trick.

- The Inquiry - M:
- The Prince and Princess did notice the familiar Zantine architecture in the building, which was nice to them. After all, they were far from home and it was good to see something that it feel more natural to them. Of course, they weren't totally sold on this city being peerless, given their own home city, but all the same they were liking it. They went for the reception area to of course sign in and register their arrival, as well as see about getting some information. The Princess was the one to go up and speak to the employees, who approached with a smile. "Hello there," called out the Princess to announce her presence, "I'd like to ask for some directions. We need to know a nice place to bunk for a while, and where a government building is."
---
The Union officers followed the stallion as he started his tour, keeping their eyes and ears alert. This was important information they were going to get, and it would matter greatly for war effort cooperation. The navy was expected, even if it was saddening. Still, it was good it was ready, just in case Omnipo swung hard north. In the elevator, Lord Aersoket took particular interest in this project, though it certainly went over the heads of his two companions who were also generally more of the more grounded types of science. The Lord was the one with a question, since he was the only one really following, and spoke up with curiosity, "Tell me about this echo chamber some more. And how one may wish to try and control these beings of power you're trying to call forth. And, of course, if one can be certain these beings are embodiment or simply just powerful spirits taking advantage of such. Such things exist in Anubite history, after all. It is not so easy to bend the fabric of creation."
---
Cyboar, receiving the message, noted the oddity in the coordinates. While they did not believe somebody of such a position could be foolish enough to believe they could trap Cyboar with a simple ploy, it still provoked an air of caution in them. The invitation for discourse was accepted, and the representatives prepared themselves. They however also procured themselves an escort for the journey before setting out, moving with a small armed fleet instead just a diplomatic shuttle. Whether or not this would be required would have to be found out, but while the fleet was incredibly small, it was entirely Cyboar, which made it very dangerous, and a statement in its own right. Cyboar was treating this with discretion, involving nobody but themselves in this meeting.

- The Unknown - E:
- "Ah! Welcome welcome, it's a pleasure to greet you all to Constantineighple!" The receptionist to have greeted this was a young eoamhnna mare with a binge coat and a sweeping white mane tied up in a bun. She was very forthcoming and warm in her explanation of getting to places. Pointing out that the Drsana Disctrict is known for their high quality but very cheep luxury hotels. Famous for their wonderfully made spas and exotic food found nowhere else in the city due to its rarity. The governmental buildings is actually not far away which is intentional. The Caponylium or Caponyline Hill is the name of the administrative district for the city. It's often mixed up with Ponytine Hill which is the more historical district. "For a heads up, you are eligible for VIP status due to your importance. Meaning you have access to 24/7 free taxi service, higher priority in response of emergency forces if you call for such, and best of all almost anything that can be sold to the public will for free for you! But be careful, there's a monthly cap to it."
----
"My Lord as a Equusalemite I'll be brutally honest with you. I don't know. I enrolled into the military because I failed a watered down version of the Dazur effect exam and did not have another option in life. Growing up all that was important to me was making sure my boys came out of a sticky situation safe and not contemplating how time is an illusion of structure. I could attempt to explain but you would want a more suited individual than me. Thankfully we do have such an individual here and her name is Professor Bharathi, brilliant mare. From others told me she is a remarkable physicist in quantum mechanics. Best of her generation in fact. From what I could tell in her lectures I'll believe the talk. She's after all the current director of this project. Let's see if we can find her. Hey you!" Fatehjit called out to a passing technician.
"Sorry for the interruption but do you know where Professor Bharathi is?"
"Oh no worries sir she should be at the observatory."
"Great! That's where we are heading too. Thank you lad." With a friendly slap on the technician back he led the group to the other side of the building. They came out onto the roof that is enclosed in a smart glass dome. They could see sitting areas, touchscreen tables, and other manner of strange machinery that is way out of a normal person understanding. Fatehjit gave a quick scan of the few people who were here before setting his eyes on the eoamhnna mare in a white lab coat nearby. Snow white fur with long, braided blue mane. Electric blue eyes look down on the datapad she was tinkering with. Thick, rounded glasses rest on the bridge of her nose. "Professor Bharathi! Hey! Over here!" White ears perk up from the loud greeting from the Major General. Lowering her datapad she turn to see who called her
"Major General, it's nice to see you. Are these gentlemen the guests you touring around the facilities?" She inquired in a somewhat cheerful mood. Youthful energy seems to radiate from her posture, a spring in her step as she came over. "I take it Major General is being helpful, he's quite the sponge to these complicated topics." She spoke with a wide friendly smile.
"Professor with all due respect my primitive Perissodactyla brain cannot even hope to comprehend the most basics of your basics."
"Hey you got the word right this time!"
"As you can see gentlemen." Fatehjit suddenly turned to the group. "She's one of our brightest minds and will most certinally be open to answering the question."
"Oh! What is it that you want to know!" The sparkles that seem to shine in her eyes sent shivers down Fatehjit spine. He knew that look. It's the look that'll leave him feeling like a cavepony bashing rocks together.
"Lord Aersoket wish to know more about the details about these Avatars." Fatehjit states with a blank face. Knowing full well what he subjected himself to. All he remembers next was Bharathi opening her mouth. There were words yes, he could understand the words. But the sentences? She may very well be reciting the chant to summon an elder daemon and he wouldn't notice. Geodesics, the observable universe being a hologram, quantum entanglement, and more words that sound more complex than the right they should be. At the end of the explanation turned lecture the stallion was rubbing his head with his hand. A headache have long since formed. "So to summarize, these Avatars are not some powerful spirits."
"Correct."
"Are they embodiments?"
"Somewhat incorrect, they are the facets of the [Greater Intelligence] 'personality'. For a rough analogy. The [Greater Intelligence] pushes on the fabric of space-time with its 'hand'. The Avatars is the 'Impression' left behind but not the volume. Molds if you will.”
"A another question that's already been answered but for the sake of our friends. Do we intend to control these Avatars?"
"Incorrect. We aren't going out there to become gods but rather attain greater understanding with the infinite universe. After all it's unwise to treat entities of incalculable power like lab rats. The committee intends to relocate them to a classified world for them to roam freely. Poor Rsipheli is already showing signs of stress in this limited space."
“How do we plan to benefit from all of this?”
“In the simplest of terms, the Avatars are like miniature suns that radiate forms of energy. We construct main hubs that serve as a central power battery to store this energy than it’s then distributed to smaller power batteries that serve as a recharge station for mediums. Wether they may be necklaces, staves, or even rings. There are blueprints for starship empowering but that’s far off.”
“What’s the difference between drawing upon this power and calling about it innately?”
“The power batteries serve as mediums much like the old Elements of Harmony. If the [Greater Intelligence] belives the user is worthy enough they won’t need a medium or a power battery to draw upon this power. It’s to be noted that this can go both ways. If the [Greater Intelligence] dislike the user they would not be able to use the energy at all.”
“Alright, I think that sums up everything about the first question.” It was somewhat clear that Fatehjit was glad to have survived this mind numbing exchange.
“It’s no problem at all! I’m always happy to help others. By the way Fatehjit you were much better at grasping this than last time!” She exclaimed in a congratulatory manner.
“Don’t mention it Professor.” He gave a smile before turning to the Anubite Lord. “Anything else you want her to go over?”
——-
Nearing the mystery spot there were no wakes that indicate any other fleet in the area. The Equusalem fog was light enough that their sensors, even if they weren’t Cyboar level, would detect no vessel laying in wait. Coming within a hundred Madrill of the spot they finally spotted something unusual on the horizon. Something black half submerged in the Etherwaves. The object was prism shaped and vanta black. As they sail closer they can tell the object was very large from how much it grew on the horizon. Halfway there it was clear that this object was in fact a massive Ether Station unknown design, origin, and signature. Strange for such an anomaly to not be marked on any known map. Especially from their readings the station was extremely ancient. Coming closer they revived what seem to be an automated message on loop. But the passage of time seemed to have taken its toll on it.

(forum does not like gibberish it seems)
The text was certainly not modern Equidae. In fact it only has the smallest of similarities to old Equidae cuneiforms. Which implies this is well before the Third Kalpa at the very least. Another message from a different source would then be received. “Dearest apologies! The automated messaging kicked in before I could stop it. Let me open the hanger for you all, I’ll be there to meet you in person.” The voice was easily recognized as the Cardinal that contacted them. Interestingly enough if there sensors would see only one life sign in the massive station. Whatever this was it’s apparent that not many know about it. Before them a section of the station opened up to presumably the hangar which from its dimensions large enough for all the ships if they wanted too.

- The Turning of Fate - M:
Princess Caldera was happy to get some enthusiasm, and made mental notes of the Drsana District as well as where the Caponyline Hill was located. It was handy to know they were both rather nearby, making the Zantine journey more convenient. That extra heads up was a surprise, but it got a smile out of the Princess, "Oh, that is quite nice! I'll make sure not to hit that cap too quickly, but it's very nice to have all the same. Still, I'm sure I can handle the costs should that cap be hit. Thank you for the information! Have a good day." Caldera left behind a few coins in thanks, and then returned to the rest of the Imperials. She turned to a few of the Rangian Vanguard and spoke out, "Move out to the Drsana District and arrange our living quarters prepared. Use whatever resources you need."
As the Taurus bowed their head and moved to carry out their orders, Prince Leonious smirked. "Guess you got the information we needed then. Now then, show the way to somebody who can handle our real job here."
"Right this way, brother. We're going to somewhere called the Caponyline Hill. One does have to wonder how involved Cuthian Pundramancers were in the naming process, or if it's a mere coincidence lovers of puns emerged in both our north and south!" Regardless of the Princess's pondering, they moved to follow the directions to the hill, and find somebody to talk to regarding their role here, letting the Taurus that had detached go and handle the housing matter.
----
Throughout this very lengthy process, General Leshtia and Admiral Caldscore similarly faded away from attention. The Admiral simply gave up on trying, and simply went numb to wait until it was finished. Leshtia meanwhile looked into other things, looking around in curiosity at other things and people. Looking over the shoulders of other researchers or looking for windows to investigate for herself. She would do this as long as Bharathi was explaining, though at the end she returned to the side of the others as if nothing happened. Lord Aersoket however was perfectly fine, his attention sticking closely, managing to to understand far better than his more military minded companions. He seemed very skeptical all the same. He considered it, speaking aloud in thought, "Hm, I'm not entirely convinced they are not spirits, due to that very existence of personality and being able to like or dislike somebody. To me, this sounds more like rather powerful Mirin. After all, the living in all of Anubite history have never been able to come under any true attention of the wider universe. Only Mirin take notice before you embrace the end. Regardless, this energy and those avatars functionality is immensely interesting all the same, and sounds to me like requiring additional research from others of my kind who are better suited to this. Still, thank you for explaining, Bharathi. I don't believe this can be quite trusted enough for the war effort, but it should be looked into all the same!"
He then paused, considering if there was anything else, "Nothing on the matter of these avatars, at least not for now. This is something I can return to on my own time, but I believe my two companions would much like us to move on to more direct matters in the present. Such where the assets you have available right now may be used, and how ready you are. Not to mention the matter of working out your forces in a way that does not violate your obligations to the Zantines, which I have been informed you are maintaining. Curious, but not something the Union will debate or oppose, but it does have to be worked around."
---
The erroneous message was an oddity to the Cyboar, even if it was quickly corrected by the next message. They kept it for study by the Cyboar cryptologists, but otherwise were willing to let it slide for now. A shuttle was sent out from the leading Cyboar ship to dock in the now open hanger, landing in it smoothly. Out of the shuttle stepped out a group of Cyboar representatives. There were the guards, that being four Black Augmented, and then the two leaders, a Green and a Blue. From there, they waited to meet the Cardinal in person, standing in complete silence until she arrived.

- The Worth of Ideals - E:
- Exiting the building they would come out onto a platform that hangs high over the ground below. Lining it were specially reserved, self-driving taxis for VIP’s who came to this location. With their pass it would carry them quite a ways into the heart of the city. It glided down to a lower hanging platform that leads to an elevated part of the city. Heading inside they would be met with exotic domes and ever-richer mosaics compared to others in the city. Churches and basilicas in such pristine state that one could not tell if they were recently built or centuries old. Coming across an official who was more than happy to give directions. Their next destination is Hagia Ecus, the matriarchal cathedral that houses the office of the Yellow Cardinal. The Cardinal purpose is mainly dealing with all manner of diplomatic affairs.
Would they head into the heart of the district they would see the architectural marvel that is Hagia Ecus. Easily rivaling those of similar design on Instabull. A given since it was made with the aid of Zantine architects. Heading into the cathedral and finding their way through the grand halls. They would eventually come to a rather humble door compared to the craftsmanship that surrounds it. One noticeable part or rather lack thereof was that there was only a doorway. They could see that the inside looked to be some sort of grove. Vines and beams of soft sunlight come from the dome above. A fountain with stone feature of a resting dove sits in the center. Surrounded by a small garden of vivid, beautiful flowers. The sun rays that shine upon them cause an optical illusion where they seem to glow. Creating a primistic aura over the garden. Near the fountain is a patch of grass where an oak table could be seen with one individual sitting behind it. A few chairs were placed on the other side with more stacked to the side if needed. “Hello there~” A pleasant voice came from the individual at the table. Adorn in yellow robes that compliment her green coat and darker green mane. Light blue eyes fell on the pair at the entryway. “Do you wish to chat? Please feel free to come in if you do. I am literally ‘always open’.”
---
Leshtia would find that the scientists were very open and happy to have her look at their work. Passionately pointing stuff about the side stuff that the committee is doing. Prototypes for new medicine technology, attempts of reverse engineering some Shoukouan tech, study in precursor tech, mapping new Etherocean charts, and much more. Clearly showing her that Equusalemites were always pushing the boundaries for the progress of innovation. In the meanwhile the professor nodded in agreement with the Lord. “Completely understandable, it’s a working theory. After all is that not what science is? The systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. It’s factually impossible to know anything with 100% certainty. So our hypothesis may very well turn out to be wrong. But that’s the risk found for anything regarding the unknown. Yes it may backfire or something worse. But risk is required for life to grow.” Bharathi muses. “But anyhow, yes, this is certainly not meant for anything related to the war. The war began too early in its development that there’s too many uncertain variables at play. However, it’s to be noted that this project led to many breakthroughs that benefits other areas of research. Miracle crystallization, power production and conservation. Telescopes strong enough to see on an atomic level, and Hardlight technology being the major ones. Besides that it’s nice to hear your enthusiasm!”
With the first topic settled the Major General went to address the next concern. “We’re on the same page, neither the Professor or I are qualified to debate on the decision. The only thing I know about philosophy is the army code mostly.” The Professor then spoke up to add to the sentence. “Idealism vs. Pragmatism is a debate as old as time that won’t just end with one war. Even if the science committee is somewhat distant from Theology as seen with referring to Harmony as the [Greater Intelligence]. We don’t have the power to end the discussion.” The Major General give a slight nod in agreement. “As I heard from an old friend of mine. It’s better to die as fools than live on as hypocrites” To have the conversation in a more secured location they all headed to a private room with glassy dimensions. The room was one giant touchscreen with a waist height table in the middle that serves as a touchscreen as well. All of which where currently in sleep mode at the moment. The digital logo of science committee present on the four walls. The Major General was the first to kick off the conversation. “As you brought up, it’s something that needs to be worked around.”
---
As expected of those hailing from a galactic superpower the cryptologists went to quick work on the archaic message. With the use of their advance quantum computing they were able to connect the rough syllabus to old Equidae text. What they found fit the story told by the Cardinal. 'Welcome space travelers! You're approaching Cipher Station. Please enjoy your stay at Cipher Station and may Imanena bless your travels.` Two valuable bits of information was gleaned from this. Firstly they got a name which by cross-referencing the database on Equusalem assets found that no mention of 'Cipher Station'. Secondly the name Imanena actually got a hit in their database. Known as the Enduring Goddess she is among the oldest deities belonging to a now dead pagan group that died out sometime in the Fifth Kalpa when Harmony rose to prominence in Equusalem society. It was now becoming with no room for doubt that this station predates at the very least the Fourth Kalpa.
As the shuttle flew into the dark hangar a few odd things occurred. The sensors were showing the smallest signs of glitching out but thanks to the software being of Cyboar design it was not detrimental in the slightest. When the shuttle landed it seem to sink an inch before rising up again. For some odd reason it would feel like they landed on some dense form of semi-liquid substance. They would rock softly before the shuttle set into place. Out of the window they could see the hangar was very dimly lit. The dark dimensions were hardly lit by the glowing blue lines that run across it like circuitry. Bright enough to illuminate the shuttle with the same lumosity found under clear moonlight. As the group step out they would feel their footing is somewhat strange. For a brief moment it would feel they were walking on a waterbed before the floor seem to harden into stable ground.
Standing out in the bizarre hangar they were not alone for long. With their cybernetic eyes they would clearly see a small portion of the wall on the other side of the hanger collapsing on itself. Forming a circular entryway where the Cardinal would then step out of. They would see that she’s in a good, friendly mood as she came up to them. Giving a kind smile as she greets the Cyboar agents. “A pleasure to welcome you all here, I do hope you will pardon me for the theatrics. I’m sure you understand the need for a quiet place in the midst of such turbulent times.” Aarushi Chamak spoke in a soft voice. Her tone warm and light. “While I would like to bring us to a more comfortable room to have our meeting, I don’t wish to overstep myself. So is there anything you wish to know at this very moment?”
- The March of Fate - M:
- The sights of the city were pleasing to the Imperials, although they weren't much for churches themselves. Zantines were different when it came to faith, due to their holding to their own personal mystery cults instead of these sites of organized religion. Though they could still appreciate the architecture that had gone into making such old structures. Hagia Ecus was quite impressive to them, and Leonious could swear he noted the personal touches of a famous Zantine architect though he remained uncertain. Still, it was the main site that got them to be awed rather than merely pleased.
The royal entourage, upon entering the cathedral, was happy to see the naturalistic nature of it with all the planets and aura of peace that it all gave off. They would settle well, until being surprised by the voice calling out that knocked reality back into them. The Prince and Princess went over to the individual, while their Rangian Vanguard protectors simply stayed in the doorway, effectively blocking it for the time being. Regardless, the Imperials sat down with the figure at the table, with Princess Caldera being the one to speak first, "A chat would be nice, since that's what we came here for. I'm Princess Caldera of the Zantine Empire, and this is my elder brother Prince Leonious. May I presume that you are the Yellow Cardinal? Or are the yellow robes merely for style?"
---
Leshtia was thus pleased in her looking around, given that these other side things were far more in her area of expertise and interest. Even if, as a Watrike, she'd prefer if this was put to Tyfrondor's service, but she was nontheless happy to look around until the Lord was finished. Lord Aersoket meanwhile smiled to the prfoessor and nodded, "You're indeed right that risk is required. Life is precious, but what is the point of it if you do not move forward? Apathy and staying still accomplish little. Regardless, it will be nice to hear more another time! In the meanwhile, I'll let you get back to your work."
The following concern was important, and as they passed into the next room each of the Union officials spread out around the table with its touchscreen. The Lord nodded in agreement, "Indeed. The Union understands your desire to not be hypocrites, as you stated yourself, but it will have to be accounted for. Admiral Caldscore has her own ideas on that." At this, the human female finally spoke up for the first time. Her tone was neutral, and clearly she wasn't a fantastic speaker, but it was still very clear, "The idea is simple. Equusalem can function as a powerful northern stronghold from which to launch raids into the back territory of the Confederacy. Union ships can handle the raiding, while Equusalem can focus on its strengths of holding the line. The raiders can then safely retreat back here to resupply, and then rinse and repeat. Once they are softened up enough, a combined push south can be launched safely from your space. Equusalem forces will break off from any Zantine engagements. As a separate matter, to allow you to keep your obligations but allowing the Union access to resources it needs, we would like permission to set up recruitment centers for volunteers. For any of your people who would like to join the Union Army and Navy directly. This would give a source of manpower to help in the raids, and we will of course handle the payment for their wages and equipment."
---
That revealing of just how old this station was made the Cyboar curious and suspicious, although they were not here to investigate the station, and thus lacked the proper tools to go more in depth. They could make theories and guesses, however. Such as that this station was likely a waystation for travelers, by the sound of the automated message. Though that in turn brought up other questions, such as why it was not on any databanks. It was quite curious.
The Green Cyboar, being the main representative, looked around the hanger a bit for any other signs of activity like resting ships, but quickly looked to Aarushi to respond. His voice was less soft and kind, though it wasn't as mechanical as one might expect of a Cyboar Augmented. It just sounded like a normal person, and it was a female voice as well, "A quiet place is understandable, with all the white noise abounding in these times. As for the now, I'd like simply to know why you have called Cyboar here. We are still unsure of the nature of this meeting, and seeing that we are now in a more private location we are curious as to the why."

- The Meeting of Ideals - E:
- “My, for royalty to sail all the way to our adobe is quite an honor. Tee hee I’m indeed the Cardinal of Yellow but you may call by my name, Menaal.” She spoke pleasantly that seem to mesh with the tranquil air around them. The fragrance of the flowers that surround them and the sound of water running over stone in the fountain added to the atmosphere. “You have my interest. But first I must ask, do any of you wish for any refreshments? I assume you had a long trek here.”
----
The present individuals were held no complaints for the course of action. “Ironically enough this follows the doctrine used back in the Dark Age. Even at our height the invaders were simply far too advanced for a head on fight. So we used soft strikes and raiding tactics to wear down those fleets. The boarding tactic of using miniature wormholes was invented during this time to have an easier time to infiltrate the more durable ships. The technology still exists, even went through some upgrades since then. We’re already rounding up some spare generators to freely give the Union access to them. Now, regarding recruitment.” The stallion brought up a few screens on the empty spaces on the table. Each displaying different statistics of private armies. “The Equusalemite Army is a bit decentralised, always has been. Even the ‘Official’ army is composed of numerous monastic orders. Beneath them are smaller armies. Each either planetary or led by a peculiar race. The Fleece Hellenic Army is composed of Snniyaa and is admittedly among the strongest armed force in Equusalem. The Planet Breakers is an amalgamation of Eoamhnna armies before the unification, an army which I am in control of. Lastly the Voidwalkers is a small army of Ehomnaa. Getting volunteers from these three and the planetary armies will be a mixed bag. The FHA will be the most willing to volunteer with Planet Breakers a close second given I lead them. So I’ll tell my boys that it’s okay to volunteer for the Union. I’m on the fence about the Voidwalkers as they tend to be somewhat reluctant to lend aid. For planetary armies, some are okay with their levies being raised but not for long. Besides that, they and the rest of Equusalem are content with Union forces setting up volunteer stations with Equusalem. The only planet the exception to this would be Spursepolis however.”
----
The hangar was quite unusual in comparison to typical design. Surfaces were entirely smooth and where angular corners should be was instead a curve. No other light source beside the odd circuit and no signs of any other doorway beside the one Aarushi came out of. Beside those small details the place was vacant, giving her a clear sense of scale of the hangar which is roughly 8.19 Acres. Large enough to fit in a hundred corvettes and more. For such a grand station it may be odd to consider on why it’s left in such a state of disuse.
“White noise is certainly a fitting way to describe it.” Aarushi muses in agreement. Lavender eyes still showing warmth with a sense of aged wisdom behind them. “Hmm a good question. Though something I thought would have been apparent for you. For Equusalemites we have long seen the Cyboar people as craftsmen and artisans. But not in the common meaning of the words. We are, after all a poetic people. However the universe is not perfect, not every race shares our perspective on life. Nor wish to understand it. Wishing to stick by their prejudice and bias. Not that’s a bad thing oh no, cynicism is most often the safest choice with the least risk. The most ‘rational’. To summarize, the Union would not have liked to hear that Equusalemites are dealing with Cyborr. Most likely deem we are being too idealistic with our approach. That we can be friends with everyone. To a degree they are correct, but this is not the reason we hold on to this ideal. No, we seek to reach an understanding. Something which the Union may have tried to do but gave up on it. As the old saying goes, war begins with language fails. To wrap up my point, we’re aware that our way is deemed as foolish. So I sought a quiet place away from judging eyes. There is one other reason I chose this place peculiar but I’ll save that for later when we relocate to a more suitable place for a conversation.” She lightly joke, her soft laugh akin to windchimes.
“Nature huh? Another good question.” Aarushi press finger against her check in a thinking posture. Tilting her head slightly she express her thoughts to the Green Cyboar. “I would not say this meeting is about one thing. I did not drag you all out just to entertain the idea of solidifying our relations. I prefer my conversations to be deeper than that. To reflect on its meaning. Simply put, I suppose it’ll be a philosophical one. That goes to the core of our respective cultures to form a level of understanding between us.”

Prince Leonious perked up at the offer, since he was rather parched. But he didn’t want to show it, and was expecting to wait it out. This offer helped him out however, so he nodded. “A drink would be nice. Just water please. Cold if possible. It was a rather long journey.” His voice was calm but his face betrayed his obvious thirst.
Caldera smiled at her brother’s lack of subtly, before nodding herself. “Water would be nice, thank you Menaal. We have plenty to speak of. In particular we need to arrange staying here as representatives of the Zantine Empire and the Lasacris Imperial Family, and all that entails. As well as for our retinues.”
——
The Admiral nodded, rather pleased with this. “Then you’ll be prepared to do it once more, and this time with more support and less danger. Your technology would be much appreciated, as anything to get a hand over Omnipo would be handy. Their scientists are somewhat better than ours.” She paused, looking at the statistics. Then she nodded again, “I can work with this. Decentralization means getting volunteers for direct union service will be easier. Not to mention it can get them to take on a more Iammelonian grasp if applied properly. I’ll have officers sent to negotiate with the FHA, Voidwalkers, and each planetary force. Work out deals and agreements, and utilize each to their best extent. The Planet Breakers shall be left to you, since you are already cooperating with us. I’ll have the direct recruitment centers set up at the same time, no use wasting time. The Union thanks you for this chance. We shall treat your people well.”
Lord Aerosket meanwhile asked a question soon after, to clear something up, “Why is Spursepolis an exception? Do they have an objection to allowing volunteers?”
——
The Green Augmented’s face was covered, so it was hard to tell how it was feeling about what Aarushi was saying. It simply silently watched and listened, only slightly moving its head to maintain eye contact with the thoughtful woman. The woman under the armor finally responded after a couple seconds of silence, “Understanding. An interesting goal to go so far for. This is indeed an idealistic position. Particularly for those so close to Iammelon, a society that sticks to cynicism until proven otherwise. But, this unit will see what can be done. We will attempt language, and see if it can bear any fruit, or if it shall lack worth yet again. You get your chance to put philosophy to the test. Cyboar gains from learning, but we have found rarely others care to see more than the surface. Move to the appropriate location, and let us begin.” The other Augmented simply nodded, though the blue one crossed their arms, seemingly a deal more skeptical than their allies. But they did not speak, granting Aarushi the chance as promised.

With a smile in understanding she leaned over to a counter beside her and bought out a rather exquisite silver pitcher and a plate that holds two beautifully made Zantine cups. Setting the plate on the table she poured water into each of the cups. Setting the pitcher down on the plate she handed each of the cup to the respective sibling. Once drink they would find the water to be very high quality. Refreshing and no aftertaste from any sort of filtration. "I see, this won't be too much of a hassle. Spursepolis is as you know holds strong ties to the Zantine Empire. So much so that they still own some private land here long before the formation of Equusalem. Most noticeably they own an residential area for Zantine citizens to stay whether they are on vacation, work, or anything else that requires their presence here. There's one place that I think you'll be interested in, a vacant palace built long ago by Emperor Nikephoreos V Lasacris. Very grand, still in good condition too."
"No problem at all, it's a honor to fight with the Union." The Major General responded in a positive manner. It was a nice feeling to have the plans come into place and ready to go. Typically it take hours to formulate the best course of action. If Equssalemite ships did not have had data from the Dark Ages there would need to be time to redraw doctrines and send them to the fleet which risks the chance of the transmissions being intercepted by enemy agents. Speaking of which, "We should come up with a stable form of communication. Freeforest is close to use but we are surrounded by Omnipo space. A idea that came to mind is using the Sun Barge. An unique form of craft engineered by Equusalemite Arcanotech and Anubite Mysticism. It's form of travel is similar to Vortex-space travel but much more refined and stable. It was used as a way to ensure fast communication between the Anubite Empire and old Equidae states. The technology is still around, so we are able to make more Sun Barges for communication and/or transportation purposes." The MG then look over to Lord Aerosket, having heard the question spoken by the Anubite. "Respect more than anything. Spursepolis has a strong Zantine culture, even houses families descended from first-generation immigrants of the Zantine Empire. To set up recruitment offices is somewhat tactless, it would be like if we were on opposite sides and we set up a recruitment center on Carthokia upon Anubite burial tomb complexes. I know War is a ugly thing, that sacrifices need to be made, but it's very easy for war to make monsters out of us. "
"Ah 'yet again'. The manner in which you spoke that, it alludes to a view I have of the Cyboar. Time will tell if it holds merit. Now I thank you for this chance, let us relocate ourselves to a more fitting place." Aarushi spoke softly once more as she went to lead the group. Coming to the door once more they would notice something odd about the doorway. There was nothing in it. Well 'nothing' is a wrong term to use for there is 'something' but not anythings of the natural universe. It looked like crystalline black mist of non-euclidean geometry. When Aarushi continue to walk forward the 'mist' receded. Revealing a hallway as it went but the way it came into focus was odd. As if were being rendered into existence. The blue circuity was also present on the walls around them to give them some form of illumination. In only a few short minutes the mare stop and held up a hand to press against the wall beside her. The surface around her palm would be lit by green circuitry this time. The 'mist' receded must faster this time. Revealing a rather plain room. A soft overhead light shining on a anvil like table with the bottom being very narrow and seemly a part of the floor itself. Situated around the table where chairs that they to seem to be a part of the floor and in just enough quantity that everyone could sit if they wanted to. The 'mist' would disappear as it funnel into one spot on the opposing wall. Aarushi took her place at the table in a chair that despite being connected to the floor moved as it were a semi-liquid but sitting on them feels solid.

The cups were of course happily accepted by the royals, who were pleasantly surprised to see the making of the cups in particular. The style was recognizable to them, the same sort of cups they had back home for use in the various feasts and royal banquets. The fact that the water was as good was a similarly nice thing to discover. Prince Leonious was visibly surprised to hear of that last bit of information, “This planet has an Imperial Palace on it? First I’ve heard of it, but very nice to learn. Those aren’t common, so our family takes careful care to maintain ownership of them when possible. And this one is vacant... I think that will play quite well into our mission here, eh Caldera? Wonder if they’ve got a Valorian gladiator arena here too.”
The Princess was better at masking her interest than her brother, calmly sipping her water. She did nod in agreement however, “Yes, that palace certainly interests us, Menaal. You said it is vacant? If so, I’d like to arrange our own quarters right in there. It would be nice to be among other Zantines, as we are going to be here a long time. You see, and this is something more private, we are to stay here to wait out the war. My father, the Emperor, wanted us to stay here to maintain friendship with your people, as well as diplomatic ties. And, through that, a channel to the Iammelonian Union for direct negotiation if necessary. Which means, we’ll be here a while, and likely speaking with you in particular a fair bit. I hope this won’t be too troublesome for you, Menaal.”
The Admiral was very interested in this proposed method of communication, and was already thinking of the potential ways to use these Sun Barges. She nodded in contemplative thought to the Major General, “That would be quite a useful means of rapid transport and communication. But... Do not make too many. This tool, as you propose it, should not become relied on. Not simply for risk, but because we should keep Omnipo thinking they have control. Keep this communication channel limited and secret however, we can confidently maintain communication without worry of Omnipo attempted interception or interference. Plus it avoids dependence on one method or another.”
The Anubite Lord nodded with that answer, understanding it, “I see. You are right then. Setting up there would be rather lacking in understanding. Not to mention, particularly prone to disaster, given some previous examples. Bear with me for a moment.” He went over to the holotable, bringing up a planetary map of Freeforest, the Ialao homeworld. Then he zoomed in on one continent in particular in the northern hemisphere, “This is Zanos, a continent on Freeforest, a close by planet as you said yourself. Freeforest sides with the Union... Except for Zanos. Zanos is a highly Zantine cultured section of the planet, similar to Spursepolis. Its people and local government revolted in solidarity for the proper Zantine Empire, claiming their loyalty to the Empire and Emperor overruled the planetary government’s decision. This will be handled, and we won’t ask you to be involved due to your previous friendship declaration. But it’s an important lesson. Spursepolis will have to be left alone, yet carefully watched, in case Zantine agitators on the planet get similar ideas. The word of the Lasacris family still holds much sway over those who consider themselves Zantines. So while we shall send no recruiters, we must stop any Zantine recruitment drives.”
The Cyboar followed Aarushi to the strange room, keeping a careful eye on this mist and the seemingly shifting nature of the station. Green waved for her guards to spread out, watch everything, and of course subtly scan and try to get an idea of what was going on. Meanwhile she would be the only one to sit at this odd table, a bit cautious sitting but settled in anyways. Green wasted little time beginning its inquiries, “Understanding is a two way street, Cardinal unit. As such, Cyboar will need to understand some things first before accepting any following questioning. First, explain this station, and why it was truly chosen for this meeting. Secondly, you will explain this system of harmony bearers to us. One of Cyboar’s own, an agent Raziela, was apparently made into one. You will explain how this will impact the agent. Raziela is promising, and so Cyboar will not accept any compromises to her loyalty and duty to Cyboar. Her role must be fulfilled. It would be very displeasing if we had to cut her promising potential short.”

“It’s certainly uncommon. It has been more than a hundred thousand years since the Zantine flag flew over Equidae stars. Many things can be worn down with such heavy passage of time. So anything that is still preserved is treated with great care.” The Anubites has long driven the importance of history into Equidae society. So they take pride in managing to have holdings and/or relics that survive many centuries. “You’ll have no issue with moving, it’s after all still under your family dynasty.” The procedure won’t take long. Menaal would just need to make some calls and get the palace open for the siblings to move in. Listening to the rest of request she responded that she has no issue with any of it. Stating that it’s her duty after all to converse with others on a daily basis and would enjoy working the siblings.
“Of course, technology like this should be used sparingly. If used too much the chance of it existence being known increases.” He spoke in agreement. The Sun Barge falling into enemy hands would be a big blow to their operations. When the Lord went over Freeforest and the Zantine he can’t help but ponder if there is bias at play here. While his education was lackluster he know his history. He knows the beef between the Anubites and Zantines. While the Lord did seem to understand that this is a war about how to run Iammelon. The fact he specifically said Zantine recruitment centers was a red flag to him considering the Zantine were only one member state out of seven in the Confederacy. Intentionally or not, millennial old rivalry dies hard. It does not take much stretch of the imagination to assume the Anubites want to rub in the Zantine faces that Equusalem, a race that always been neutral between the two, was on their side thus favor them over the Zantine. Prejudice aside he did agree with what he was saying. “Equusalem will be vigilant for any actions by the Confederacy to lure Equusalemites to their side. But we’ll accept your help in watching over the populace.” This way it’ll put the Union or rather the Anubites at ease a bit.
Aarushi gave a polite chuckle when pressed that the Cyboar needed explanations first. “And here I was ready to be questioned by such inquisitive minds. Telling history is a favorite pastime of mine. To teach those of things forgotten, V’oss for instance. Not that it probably mean anything to you. Only few to my understanding know the beginnings of the universe. To address the question at hand. This station is a part of a bundle known as a Cache.” On the table between them six holographic images of a small treasure chest pop into existence. Each color coded to the six main Cardinals. “Each Cardinal possess one Cache. And neither knows what is in the other Cache Somewhat akin to a time machine box if you will. When Equusalem was founded each of the founding Cardinals were in the possession of things that Equidae is not ready for. These Caches were then passed down through the generations.”
Five of the holograms wink out, leaving the violet treasure chest to move to the center of the table. “When I became the Violet Cardinal my predecessor brought me to places like this. Places that only I know about. Until today. I brought you here for you to learn the existence of something possibly greater than the war. To remind ourselves of the agreement Cyboar and Equusalem made so long ago. That in the light of mutual interest we strive for self-improvement.” The mare leaned forward as she crossed her arms over the table. Her purple eyes reflecting the glow of the hologram of the metaphorical chest. “Now I make the assumption that Cyboar is interested in bettering themselves. What artist wouldn’t? And there are things in here that is beyond me. Relics that carry others through space-time. Black books that can unravel reality to stitch it back to one's will. Machines immune to the effects of entropy. And grand structures such as this. Very fascinating if I say so myself. But, it’s lonely to delve into mystery alone. So I hoped that perhaps Cyboar and Equusalem can venture into the unknown not as benefactors but as friends. Pardon me, I’m getting ahead of myself.” She leaned back as the hologram wink out of existence. “It’s improper to rush things on our first meeting after all.”
“Now, what manner of ancient relic do we reside in. A good question, something I ask myself sometimes. The predecessors before me claim that this station is a matrioshka brain. Encased by the mist as you’ve seen. A unique composition of liquid metal fixated in some form of quantum state. Marvelous technology, all I know is that it was around during the Alkesh Refuge which would put it on the timeline of the Second Kalpa. Presumably it's theorized to be built by Raymonde the Forgotten. A mysterious Alicorn who left behind many strange relics. For what reason she built them is lost to time. The amount of possibilities this station provides is immense. Now, to address your second concern there is no worry that she needs to go anywhere. Bearers come about as a response to the corrupted Kalpa cycle in the third age. Since then their appearance is somewhat rare. They made a comeback during the Fifth and Six Cycle. In all these cases the Bearers gain no other obligation. Many stuck to what they’ve been doing before they became bearers. If crisis does arise they are typically not necessary at first, Bearers serve mostly as the last line of defense. How being infused with the Spirit depends, we would need to converse with the Pink Cardinal for specifics. But generally she’s now connected to a exotic energy field that exist outside our 3+1d space. The Rauonliw Force.”
Another hologram came into existence over the table this time a model of the universe that shows a prismatic veils that surrounds it. “To simply summarize it. You’ll find that her capabilities to perform her duties becomes significantly greater when she taps into it.”

The ease of this was pleasant to the Zantine Royals. They were prepared for one complication or another, but it was nice that it really was just that easy. Princess Caldera smiled and finished her cup, setting it aside, “You have my thanks, as well as those of the Lasacris family. Those palaces really are precious, and it is nice to have one returned so easily and in such good condition. It will be nice working with you in the coming times, Menaal. Though with that, I think we should go see the palace, and move in properly. Work can wait until we’re actually settled in, and I’m sure my guards will want all the time they can get to secure the building.”
The second cup was set aside soon after the Princess finished, with the Prince finishing his own water. Leonious stood up, stretching his back, “It certainly can. I want to try and see if the Valorians are set up here, I’m itching to watch another fight. Should check out that Zantine district too. Maybe you’ll find your vaunted soul mate there Caldera! Hah, talk to you later Menaal.” His sister got clearly flustered, but simply nodded as she stood up for herself, focusing on suppressing her embarrassment,
The Major General was correct in assuming bias that even the wielder was unaware of. The Anubite Lord was, subconsciously, linking this war to the many, many classical wars between the two Empires in their history. He understood quite well this was different, they were both part of the same nation now and this war was about that nation. But the connections were there, and it was impossible for Anubite, or even Zantine, to miss the obvious mental connections. Perhaps to some, this was a dream of reliving history come true. Aerosket meanwhile was satisfied, smiling and nodding, “I am glad you will be cautious in this matter. More Confederates would be problematic, and I certainly don’t wish to face the moral issues an insurrection on Spursepolis would incur. I’ll inform Union Command that we gave permission to do some light monitoring of Zantine elements. And Valorian too, I do suppose, just in case.” His issues addressed, the Lord stepped back.
Admiral Caldscore meanwhile stepped up, with more to say. Her tone was as flat as always, continuing with official matters, “Communication and Recruitment are settled, which were the major issues the Union sought to address in this initial meeting. Though I believe General Leshtia wished to speak of something else.” The Human gestured to the Watrike General, who stepped forward.
Leshtia, a Watrike female with green scales, was a great deal more emotive than her human naval companion. Her speech was accompanied by many random hand movements, seemingly just to emphasize certain words, “Yes. This one has a request. The Grand Drake has placed into my hands a task, which is gathering powerful individuals. He wishes to prepare teams to strike and remove powerful individuals who side with the Confederacy, and remove them as threats. A difficult task, but I wish to know of any who wish to volunteer and can be trusted.”
The Envoy was silent as it absorbed this dump of information. It brought up a few interests. Such as the locations of other caches, the full extent of them, if they could be seized, and where they might have been created. Not to mention that little quip about the universe, but that could be set aside for now. Instead, there were more pressing questions the Augmented had to ask, “Cyboar is always interested in improving ourselves, and Cyboar honors any agreements officially signed until the terms are compete or the time on the agreement runs out. However, this one remains a skeptic. Your mind would normally turn to Anubites on these matters of ancient mysteries, like most of the Nebula dwellers would. Why not you? Why do you seek Cyboar in specific? The answer matters.”
She then paused, thinking more. These Bearers sounded useful as a failsafe, and objects of study. But also problematic, if they were spread out and not safely in Cyboar hands. Still, the lack of imprinted obligations was good to hear, so the Envoy nodded, “Good. The agent’s service may continue then, and perhaps may improve. This will be tested, but will be accepted. Our own look into this energy will begin as well, so Cyboar can assist in such tapping for power. There are two issues however. What occurs if the Agent is terminated? And what complications may arise if two Bearers came into conflict? A very possible circumstance given the situation.”

Menaal let out a polite giggle at seeing the sister getting embarrassed. It was cute seeing composed individuals lose their cool. Waving them goodbye she would get to work. Getting a palace ready requires a few phone calls and money transfer after all.
The Major General nodded in understanding as he listens to Leshtia. Equusalem is home to powerful individuals but almost if not all were vagabonds. Making contact with them is not going to be easy. “Beside Grandmasters and Archmages, the strongest we are aware of are the Mythic Ones. A classification of people known for their many legends and deeds. Mostly these are Lomli Alicorns. Alicorns who happen to live beyond the cycle they came from by some deal with the Wheel. The Pandæmonium Alicorns are a good example of having the annoying tendency to pop up thousands of years out of their obscurity. Typical most Lomli Alicorns exile themselves to uncharted worlds never to be seen again. Ahaana and her herd are a good example of this. The two Lomli Alicorns that are ‘active’ are Caelistianya and Ilunaelistianya. Their last known location is said to be Anullos, a strange world to put it simply. If you do find them there is a good chance they will join up with us. They’re trustworthy so no concern about that.” He assured before rubbing the back of his neck. “There’s one other Mythic One who is known to be around. A Equis Dragon by the name of Viintaasvrii Vujaaril. Very old. Believed to be born during the Primeval Kalpa. The last report has his position somewhere on Nóttheim. I would suggest recruiting him, very honorable so you should have no issues with trusting him.”
"Oh yes, why does this soft spoken mare take such a interest in the Cyboar." Aarushi muse as she set her elbows on the table to rest her chin on her clasped hands. "A race of magic and harmony, a history of mystical events, yet the one we look towards are the most of unlikeliness group of people. From that viewpoint it is rather strange? Equusalem, a nation of friendship sharing its most secret of secrets to practically a stranger over a long time friend. I suppose it all started when I was young, bright-eyed to the world around me and oh so curios. For awhile I was paying attention to Catalhayuk, mostly to the Cyboar. How handy it was, to have a front row seat to watching a sculptor from afar. The nebula felt like a classroom, the natives students in their chairs around you, sitting on a stool as you sculpt clay of metal and flesh. After a while the longer I sat there, watching you under the limelight, I can't help but feel a sense of solitude. That from your perspective, the entire universe is simply you and your masterpiece. Perhaps you would prefer that we leave you alone, I get the sense you always worked alone. Hence your words 'yet again'. You worked on that sculpture for so very long. In a way I suppose you simply reminded of myself. Live long enough and you could grow distant with the world. Rely on yourself long enough and you begin to see no point to work with others. Of course, this is all my musings. You may very well convince me wrong. In conclusion we're somewhat similar, both working towards our goals with any means necessary. I presume that this war was a distraction for you as it was for me. I figured, let the Union and Confederacy fight for the future of the nebula while we fight for something much grander than that. On a more personal reasoning, I'm more of a scientist than a mystic so I suppose I simply relate to you better." She ended with a smile that stayed on her as she sat back into her chair.
Cross her legs she set her clasped hands on her lap before responding with a soft giggle. How she enjoyed watching the gears turn in the agent head. Excitement for discovery and testing was something she can relate to very well. "Of course, discovery requires experimentation. I give my blessings for your projects to yield good fruit.” She was curious if Cyboar would aim to produce artificial means to mine the energy. After all it was something Equusalem was doing as well with the Avatar program. Using the Rauonliw Force without the need of Bearers which in turn makes them relatively obsolete in the grand scheme of things. “Mmm? Well if your agent dies she dies. So I suggest ensuring you get all the testing done before her expiration. To address to the last question, nothing much. The Rauonliw Force is...mechanical in a sense. It chose it vessels to serve one thing. Apathetic to anything else. So let’s say you wanted your agent to round up the other bearers. The Rauonliw Force wouldn’t do anything to stop it.”
The Major General nodded in understanding as he listens to Leshtia. Equusalem is home to powerful individuals but almost if not all were vagabonds.

The two Royals left to go see the recently returned Palace of their long dynasty. Though that would not be their first stop. Leonious simply wandered a bit, just to find out things he could do to pass the time on this planet, since he would be here a while and he wanted to know his options for entertainment. Caldera meanwhile had something more important to handle, a mission given to her by her father, the Emperor. And that was to connect with a number of Zantine Noble families upon the planet, some old and some new, but all loyal and connected with the populace. For nothing special right now, but it would become important later. What mattered now was that Caldera, as a Lasacris, affirmed their loyalty and gauged how the populace of Spursepolis felt through their connections.
It would be the next day that Menaal was visited once more. However, it was only the Prince. Princess Caldera was busy at the recently returned Palace, setting it up to fit the royals once more and redecorating. Leonious meanwhile returned to the Cathedral that held the Yellow Cardinal, arriving with two of his guards. Once more the Guards waited in the doorway, and only the Lasacris entered. Leonious looked around for Menaal, and upon finding her spoke out, “Hey Menaal. I came to see you again, as a thanks for the Palace being returned. Though I’m not here entirely just for business and diplomacy.”
Leshtia considered the three options, and then nodded in satisfaction. The three individuals did seem to be exactly what she had been assigned to find, so it would work out. Thus, she was pleased with this tip, “These mythic ones do seem to fit what I am searching for. Caelistianya, Ilunaelistianya, and Viintaasvrii Vujaaril. We shall send out teams to locate the three of them. One team to Anullos, and another to Nottheim. These teams will be made up of Union Forces, including Equidae of Iammelonian descent, given that we are aiming to convince them to support the Union in this regard. We will begin this as soon as possible.”
With this, Lord Aerosket had some additional questions to ask before they got to the work of preparing these Mythic searching teams. “These three should be quite helpful if they can be convinced to assist us, but I do have some questions. I’m not too aware of Ahaana and her herd, as you said, but I do have to wonder what makes them decide to go into self exile like that. Is there a reason for it? Quite the tragic thing for me to hear as an Anubite, considering all that they could provide to our archives.”
The Envoy leaned forward in her chair, resting their arm on the table as she listened to the long musings of the mare before her. It was certainly curious to encounter somebody who took such interest in Cyboar, and tried to relate themselves to the Boar. Though it required some addressing, “Cyboar does certainly see itself as a solitary worker, crafting our masterworks by ourselves with no need or desire for the outside to lend assistance. This is not because we are incapable of asking, the fact this unit is here at all is a sign that Cyboar is completely able to interact with others in manners that don’t include a struggle or hostility. But the solitude persists for our goals do not lend to working with others who are unwilling to go the extra step and join Cyboar, at least beyond business and cordial relationships. The goal however is incompatible, and so it is necessary and required to function as we do.” The Envoy paused for a moment, and then nodded again, “Yes, this war holds little meaning to our proper intentions. The timing was not the best, but Cyboar works with the conditions it must, and so shall handle this affair and pursue our goals regardless. There is little time for pausing. Whether or not you can truly understand that does not relate to a mystic or a scientist, but something more humble and yet all the same just as important, such as a gardener.”
The Envoy was silent for a bit as Aarushi seemed to get what was going through the Augmented’s head. Then, for the first time, she chuckled. It was brief, but audible, and then followed up by the usual tone, “Cyboar does not like being so predictable, but you are correct that projects will be prepared for this. As one of many things Cyboar is constantly looking into for furthering the greater goal. I cannot speak to that implication we may decide to round up and make use of other such bearers, but your tip on the matter is appreciated if that course of action was to be undertaken.” It was fairly obvious that this was exactly what was being considered by the Augmented, given the fact there was actually an undertone of excitement in that regard. Cyboar clearly had an interest in the bearers if this force was not going to oppose a collection.

Despite the war, the state of Spursepolis is shown to be more stable than their Freeforestian neighbor. The reason tend to vary between the families but the one similarity among all of them that they were loyal with Equusalem and not the Union. One noticeable sign of this is when Zantine owned businesses cease exportation to Union sectors but not to Equusalemites. In their eyes, if Equusalem prospers so will the Zantines. Not to mention that this increases relations between the two powers. Caldera manage to catch whiff of a group of Zantine nobles working to influence the populace into further centralization. Romanticizing the idea of Equusalem being a true holy kingdom of the Ethersea. On the Equidae side, as expected Caldera would find them still trustful og their Zantine friends as ever.
The next day Menaal would be found at the table once more. Going over some documents on a datapad. Hearing a guest she turned it off and set it aside. Looking up the mare gave a polite smile. "Prince Leonious, a pleasure to see you again." The subtle subtext was no surprise to Menaal. He's not the first and certinally not the last Zantine to try to be savy with her. She could not blame the Zantines, after all securing their legacy is very important to them. "No concerns about that. We Equusalemites can be rather informal. Come have a seat Prince Leonious."
"Great to hear! They'll run into no problem with them." Fatehijit assures the Watrike once more with a smile. He knew legendary figures could be intimidating to approach and he knew from experience that when people are intimidated things can go south fairly quickly. He looked over to the anubite once more when he asked his question. "In a way you're right, they could have provide a lot of things if they stuck around. But it would be wrong and selfish of us to make them stay. Essentially, to forget about the galaxy and go live out the rest of their lives together on a inhabitant garden world all to themselves is the closest thing to paradise in Hoshizora. "
"Well said." Was all that Aarushi responded to the Cyboar agent with a pleased smile on her face. As if she had nothing more to add she went to address the second line of the conversation. "Oh no need to thank me. To aid others in the purist of their goals is a reward of its own. Besides, I would've done the same thing if they were a new concept to me." She casually admits to the agent. Uncaring of how that may have sounded.

Caldera found these findings to be perfectly fine for what the end goal of the Empire really was in this regard. So, she praised the businesses for their cutting off their ties with the Union yet keeping them with Equusalem, thus understanding that the friendship between the two remained. She was currently unsure of whether or not centralization would benefit the Empire, so she left that alone, leaving the door open for making the Imperial stance on that issue for later. What mattered most was the trust however, and that had to be maintained, perhaps even increased if at all possible. It was quite essential that the Equidae trusted the Zantines for the Emperor’s plans to work here. So, that is what Caldera set herself to doing, reassuring the population that their friendship and trust was not misplaced in the Zantines or their Imperial Family.
Prince Leonious was clearly relieved to hear that bit about informality, his posture relaxed rather quickly as he dropped the trained Imperial act he had learned, reverting to what was clearly more natural for him. He sat himself down as such in an informal matter, sighing in relief. “Thank goodness for that. It’s hard to stick to the formal act for so long at a time. We have a bit too much formality in the Empire, especially among nobles. Lots of cloak and dagger nonsense, but I’m sure you’re used to that considering this planet.” He cleared his throat, to cut himself off before he got into a different subject entirely, “Enough of that however, let’s get to the talking bit. Well, official talking bit, since we were… You know what I mean. I’m here to talk more about the whole reason two of the Emperor’s children are here at all. Despite the whole war, the Empire wants to show that we reciprocate the friendship guarantees. Keep up the relations, and perhaps even improve them. So my official reason for being here is to find out how to do just that. My unofficial reason is because my sister can handle the work of swaying the nobles much better than I can, and I prefer talking to people I like instead of being so dishonestly polite all the time. So I took this part of the job instead of the other. Makes sense I think.”
The Anubite Lord nodded, “I do suppose it is quite the dream to live out the rest of your life in peace, not worrying about the constant turmoil of the galaxy. Perhaps Anubites can find them later for archiving statements, but we’ll leave them in peace. Except of course for our two new recruitment targets, who we do need to search out. Speaking of which, I believe we should get to such. It has been an honor speaking with you, Major General. The three of us will be remaining on planet as the Union’s military attaches to Equusalem, but for now we should get to arranging what we have agreed upon today. We shall speak again soon!” With that, he did a polite bow, indicative of his status as a Anubite Lord saying goodbye to an ally. Meanwhile his two companions, Leshtia and the Admiral, made rigid salutes before moving to depart. The admiral to focus on recruitment efforts, the Anubite focusing on the matter of communication, and Leshtia going to prepare the search teams for the Mythics, gathering from the Union people who could negotiate with the two Alicorns and the old Dragon, bringing along Equidae members in addition to the standard affairs. It was simply a matter of selecting the best candidates, and then sending them out.
The Envoy creaned her head slightly to the side, not totally believing that one could be so uncaring without a reason. Cyboar had reasons, but the reasons of Aarushi were a bit harder to pin down. But after a moment of silence, the Cardinal got another rare chuckle out of the Augmented, “You are an interesting one. It is a shame you do not express interest in integration with Cyboar, as this unit feels you could be useful. But we are satisfied enough to thank you regardless. It does seem you have understanding after all, very interesting. This unit will have to report such.” Going silent for a moment, the Envoy then spoke more quietly, “It will not change the price of interference, of course. Cyboar must continue its work.”

As Caldera spent the time establishing connections and tending to the concerns of the population she will would come to learn that they have no bad opinion of the Lasacris family whatsoever but her family is not the one with the greatest influence over the population. That right belongs to the Mundaslistianya Family. A sixty thousand plus year old Zantine dynasty whose progenitor was the fourth son of Caelistianya who came to Spursepolis seeking to write his own bloodline onto the pages of history. Since then they blossomed into a influential power with Equusalem society. Having ties with both the Equidae Church and Ghashyr Church of Light. They have a large following who call themselves the Scions of the First Dawn. Said following been on the rise the past few decades in open protests and campaigns of bringing awareness of corruption in Equusalem to the masses. It was they who inspired the Zantines to debate on the subject of centralization to the Equusalemites. With some information gathering, Caldera finds that the heir is a male Zantine of the same age who by either some miracle or stroke of luck, is also single. If she's interested an opportunity it now lays before her.
"Formality does has it limits for me." Menaal gently laugh in agreement. "I still remember the day when the Amanfeame'a chose me to become the Cardinal of Yellow. I was surprise, I figured there were a lot more worthy candidates than little ole me. Haah at rare times I thought that she should've picked someone else." What Menaal meant by this is unclear. There were no emotions in her eyes that hinted to a dark truth, Or perhaps she was simply good at hiding it. "As you guess to be able to talk freely and not be concerned of the cloak and dagger is pleasant. So I appreciate it."
The Major General was somewhat hesitant in nodding in agreement. Uncomfortable with the thought of anyone disturbing Lomli Alicorns in their peace. "It's possible to meet them but to do so is committing sacrilege. They will need to get either permission from a wandering Lomli Alicorn or the Amanfeame'a herself. As they are the only ones allowed to contact them in secured channel. Said channel exist because the herd may sire children who wish to leave the comfort of paradise sail into the Ethersea to find their own destiny. While no record exist it's believed that there are quite a few descendants of the Lomli Alicorns walking among us. The Mundaslistianya Family being the most well-known example." Fatehijit explained to the lord. With that said he was happily salute in farewells. The screens shutting off as they all made their way out of the room to their respective destination
“Hoh? Touching to hear that I posses worth in the eyes of the boar.” The Cardinal lightly joke to the envoy. Uncertain whether she made that sarcastically or genuinely. “Mmm but you’re correct in that I don’t display interest in Equusalem coddling up to Cyboar. To put it simply I doubt Cyboar would want Equusalem in its current state. Too much of a hassle to fix for you I assume. Given your work is clearly your main objective.” It was clear that Aarushi was being careful in not saying too much of the division and corruption that runs through Equusalem. She then tilts her head in thought, “Perhaps in the future the possibility may be there. You know that reminds me. I’ve always been curious in Cyboar implants. Not the contents per say but rather the sentimental value. In all my years I’ve only ever seen cybernetically enhanced individuals but never synthetics nor full robots. Compared to other transxenoian ideologies it’s strange to see a culture produce art of both flesh and metal. Why is that so? How did that artistic license come to be?”

Caldera took this information with some displeasure. It was never good when the Lasacris family's influence over a population was superseded by the influence of another Zantine noble house. This Mundaslistianya Family was certainly problematic to the Princess's goals, not to mention a dark reminder of times when the Lasacris family was temporarily eclipsed in power by other Zantine Nobles, leading to disaster. While it was doubtful this Mundaslistianya family would ruin the Emperor's plans or repeat the problems of the past, Caldera was still not fond of them even possibly getting in the way. So, she prepared herself, and decided to look into the prospect of marrying this heir of similar age to herself. She would have to try and arrange just something of the sort, and so went to these Mundaslistianya to see about doing it.
The Prince wasn't a master of socializing like some of his other, more courtly siblings, but he did have to wonder if Menaal was concealing something a bit darker. Though regardless, he wasn't qualified to pick it out, and he didn't really want to right now. He simply wanted a pleasant talk, and so just smiled and nodded, "Excellent that we are on the same page then! Big weight off my shoulder, and hopefully your's too. Really, the mission I'm here to accomplish is a bit above my grade, so any chance to avoid thinking about getting it done is good. Ugh, long term stuff... But I don't think I can talk about that, so let me get past it. I'd like to just know more about you, Menaal. We'll be working together a lot so it would be nice to get to know you better. Hope that's not too forward of a request."
The Anubite Lord gave a nod to the Major General's objections, but left without further comment. If one knew Anubites long enough, they would know that they were a people who could be the most respectful and understanding of foreign cultures out there, even with their Iammelonian bias. But they could also be quite the opposite when they felt something of great import was being hidden from their scholars and archivists, and it was hard to hold them back when they smelled something that just had to be recorded for their great archives. Still, the Lord at least had plenty to distract him, so there would be no sacrilege, and of course it could be safe guarded in the future by keeping Anubites away from any maps of the paradise worlds. Regardless, Leshtia got to work, and her teams were sent off after being prepared.
The first team was dispatched to find Caelistianya and Ilunaelistianya on the planet of Anullos, aiming to hunt down the pair of mythics and convince them to join the Union's efforts in the war. There were four individuals in this team. The leader was a male Watrike named Artrad. His team members were Maccrin, a male Human from Proscore, Zali, a female Valorian, and finally Yoniria, a female Ehomnaa. Yoniria had been born and raised on Instabull, but had joined the Union due to an objection to working with Omnipo and Cyboar, and so found herself facing her fellow Zantines. This mission suited her, as she had moral convictions and was determined to convince others of them. These four were headed to Anullos, and their shuttle zoomed off towards the planet rapidly.
Meanwhile, the second team departed for Nóttheim, to try and find the Equis Dragon Viintaasvrii Vujaaril. Excave, and through them the Union, knew the value of having an experienced and powerful Dragon on your side. This team had three members, with its leader being an Anubite by the name of Rezanary. She was an Anubite scholar, but also a trained soldier. She was accompanied by Nulka, a female Watrike, and Nikros, a male Snniynna from Javalus. They were going to try and find Viintaasvrii, and see if the old Dragon would be willing to join his kin on Heord in their war.
The Envoy couldn't tell if it was sarcasm, and so defaulted to assuming that she was genuine. After all, it was quite the compliment from Cyboar, and not one made lightly, so it would be rude to sarcastically shrug it off, at least as far as the Envoy was concerned. She was however quite blunt in what came next, "Your country's seams are falling apart, much like in Iammelon, but for differing reasons. Cyboar sees it, as we always do. We have no intention to fix your country for you, but as with Iammelon the Boar will protect its interests, that is all this unit will say on that matter. As for your main question... The how is not a concern of yours, but I am at liberty to discuss the why. The answer is that life is something that must be preserved. Synthetics and robots are short cuts with dangerous repercussions for life, and so they must be destroyed and any reliance on them removed to ensure the safety of the future. Cyboar simply understands this, and acts on it. But while life is a glorious thing that grows, adapts, improves, and is the great thing in this universe, that does not mean it is perfect. It adapts, but not fast enough to danger. It thus requires safeguarding. The fusion of flesh and cybernetics creates beings of life strong enough to protect life, and allow it to grow. To protect it from the dangers that threaten it, and to protect life from itself when fools create the tools of their own destruction and obsolescence. Those who embrace the machine entirely doom themselves and remove what is great about life from themselves, but there is little value in not striving for progress eternally. Cyboar is life, its true embodiment and protector. All others have their parts to play, but Cyboar is keenly aware of what role it takes, and we perform with near perfection in it, not that many understand it."
When she gets to the Mundaslistianya Palace it was a building unlike the typical Zantine flair. Instead touching upon architectural style of some ancient Equidae civilization. The outside complex was not too busy. A few citizens were out and about going on about their day. Guards could be seen situated at strategic points around the palace.
"Teehee it's no concern at all." Menaal expressed in a friendly manner. "Hmm I suppose I had a quite life up to this point. I served the church all my life. Altar mare, Nun, Priest, Bishop, and then Cardinal. Strangely enough I don't feel all that devoted. Not in my faith per say but in the church as a organization. I always felt it was not the same as the church depicted in old stories and history text. Beside the church I was raised on a agricultural world in a small village. I suppose it goes to show why I prefer a open environment compared to the busy world outside."
Yoniria could say with confidence that nothing is much known about Anullos despite the many attempts to uncover it secrets. Equusalem bore so little fruit over the centuries that if it were not for the Civil War they would have contacted with the Anubite Empire for help. All that's known is Anullos used to be an barren world with a very close orbit to its sun that been converted to a machine world. When this took place is unknown to even the best of Equusalemite scholars. Despite the obscurity Anullos is the source for many legends that surrond it and strangely enough is a world that Lomli Paresusi visit from time to time.
The shuttle would find a open landing pad at an Aztecha Industries outpost on the planet. Exiting they would be greeted by a Aztecha official who happily welcomes them to their humble outpost where they stage excavations on the planet. After the brief exchange of information the official would share that Miss Ilunaelistianya is actually in the outpost and Miss Caelistianya is said to be mediating on a tall tower a bit distance away from the outpost.
To say Nóttheim was cold is a serve understatement. The moment their craft made their descent into the atmosphere it would become coated in a thin layer of frost from the extreme temperature difference. For a planet being 90% ice it's somehow home to tiny settlements that the shuttle scanner could sense on the planet. Snniynna pointed out that only his kind managed to colonized this world back in the day thanks to their bodies being to adapt to extreme temperatures. Nowadays it's mostly left alone but is still a popular pilgrimage point for many Snniynna and warriors. From that viewpoint it would make sense for Viintaasvrii to be here.
When they make their landing and get into protective gear they would head out into the frigid environment. Thankfully the sky was clear enough to reveal the crystal clear canvas of the stars above. Making their way through a small passage they would come out into a very large clearing where a strange sight would greet them. In the middle of the clearing there used to be a massive ice mountain. Now it been converted to a ice sculpture in the image of a great tree. The details were so fine that it must have took the dragon months to make. Even the millions of individual leaves bore the details of a leaf vein. Viintaasvrii stood before the tree. His sapphire scales would shone softly in the starlight were it not for the layer of frost over them. Near his feet were what looked like to be the small tools he used to sculpt the mountain. The group would see his back muscles bunch up as he took a deep breath and exhaled. Brilliant white flames roared forth with such power that the world itself seem to be pushed away them. For a brief moment the world was nothing but white light.
The world return to its normal saturation. What now lay before the dragon was not a mountain but instead a large lake. Still boiling from the temperature of Viintaasvrii flames. A satisfied breath could be heard from Viintaasvrii who then turned his head over his shoulder to the group, seemingly having sensed their presence. "Hoh?" Despite the distance between the two his voice carried loud and clear over to them. "Typically it is the lonesome wanderers who would seek me out. For a group to come I can sense this is no ordinary affair." Viintaasvrii mused as he turned around. Slight vibrations could be felt through the ground as he moved. "If you seek Viintaasvrii Vujaaril, you've found him."
"Haa a fitting way to put it. It's truly a shame that they forgotten the teachings of the Paresusi. Even for a godless mare as myself, even I can recognize the meaning in every Kalpa. Each a represents a important lesson to the mortal Equidae. Pandæmonium Era for instance, very important. Don't put blind faith in those who are not truly divine. Those like we Paresusi or even a peculiar set of gods beyond the void are a good example of this. We may have started out with good intention but over time we become self-serving, prideful, corrupted." She explained with a hint of pity in her voice. "Perhaps when Equidae correct their mistakes that they may be interested in aligning with the Boar. Till then, I suppose we just have to wait and see." Aarushi mused before going quiet to hear the Envoy wax their poetry. As she went on the mare leaned back in her seat. Setting a elbow on the arm of her chair and resting her cheek on her hand. When the Envoy was done she would see a glimmer of amazement in the Cardinal eyes. "How fascinating." Aarushi started. "Replace 'Machine' with 'Divine' you would get the basic principle of Old Equusalem ideology. Heh, to attain balance between the fusion of two elements. Also the basic principle of Harmony. Unfortunately many and even Equusalemites make the novice mistake of equating Harmony and Chaos to Good and Evil. This false notion became more rampant during the Friendship Era. Haa I'm rambling again. But like you said, not many people seem to understand complex philosophy. Se easily swayed by petty things and not looking to the big picture." A thoughtful expression than cam over the mare but did not express them. "I appreciate being enlightened on Cyboar philosophy." She thanked the Envoy.

Caldera was certainly surprised by the style of the palace for the family. The light activity was normal to her, most palaces weren't very active places unless some event was going on within their walls, and of course no good noble family didn't have at least a couple guards to protect their property and make a statement of authority. But the style was really something, which Caldera had to wonder if it was Anubite or something based on how it looked, as it wasn't something she recognized. Regardless, she moved forward to try and gain entry into the Mundaslistianya Palace, so she could meet this heir or at least a family representative.
Leonious considered that, and then shrugged, "I guess it makes sense that the devotion rather fades once you face the reality of working in the infrastructure of a big organization like a church. The further you get from little community things, like your village church, the less glorious it gets. It's not a bad thing, it's normal for a big organization, but it's certainly disconcerting for people who start at those small bits. Not many get that, especially in my own family looking at things from the top, but I do. I lived among normal people for a while, and it gave me an interesting perspective. That's where my dislike of the courtly process comes from, even if it was already there, but that's the thing that made me aware of that dislike." He paused, wondering if he should continue, but seeming reassured by the friendly manner he did, "That's somewhat what I see in what you're saying. A disconnect between the little things and the big, organized church, where you get a similar social situation of needing to cloak your every word and action to avoid it being exploited by political enemies. Ugh... Hard to escape it, by the looks of things."
The official was thanked for helping, and the team moved towards the outpost. It was releiving that they would not need to put much work into the search part of this mission, and could instead handle the main part. Yoniria and Artrad decided the team would stick together, and try to get Ilunaelistianya on side before going to see Caelistianya. There wasn't much point in splitting up, and they needed to get both anyways so they could just do it one then the other. It would likely be easier to convince Caelistianya as well if they already got Ilunaelistianya, so they all agreed to go for the outpost first. As soon as they got there, they'd try to find Ilunaelistianya and see what she was doing, so they could strike up a conversation.
Rezanary, Nulka, and Nikros came to this world with winter equipment, prepared in case they needed to scour the cold surface for their target Mythic. This was in the form of special variants of Excave Winter Warrior armor, given some extra modifications to strip some of the combat elements for additional survival equipment, since it was expected their search would take a while. So the journey through the frigid landscape was not too troublesome to them, and they marched without too much trouble on their parts. The great ice tree was certainly surprisingly, and very impressive to Rezanary, who made a special mental note to tip off some other Anubite archivists about this for studying later, though perhaps Xorkai would be interested in this too. Still, what mattered most was the great bundle of scales that had created it.
When the world returned, Rezanary was disappointed to see only a lake there. Still, she had work to handle, and so she moved forward to a point where her voice could be heard by the Dragon. After all, he was a much larger creature so his audible range was greater than her own. But as soon as she was in range, she made a polite bow before speaking up, "You are indeed correct that we are searching for a Viintaasvrii Vujaaril, and so it is rather good we found him without much issue. I am Rezanary, an Anubite in service to the Iammelonian Union. My companions are Nulka and Nikros, a Watrike and Snniynna respectively also from the Iammelonian Union. Apologies for the abrupt visit but we are here to request your assistance. The Iammelonian Union I speak of was formed due to Iammelon breaking into a civil war, and we are hear to ask for your help in this conflict before it grows too chaotic and destructive."
The Envoy seemed surprised that Cyboar philosophy was so quickly accepted, but she had some issues with that response. So she nodded, "You are welcome, as it is rare to get those who wish to listen. Even more rare for those to accept it instead of accuse Cyboar of selfishness or a god complex. However, you seem to have some issues that this unit wishes to address, even if you do not quite know them yet. So it shall continue its education on Cyboar's views, and hopefully make you reconsider some things you have said." She paused for a moment, seeming to take a breathe in preparation that was somewhat audible from the helmet, and then got into it. "You were correct that people are easily swayed by simple things, and one of these things is the idea of divinity; it is an irrelevancy. There is varying degrees of life and unlife, sometimes those who are a high degree get such labels. When you let those labels stand, complacency comes. Life must always push forward, and if so called gods are unwilling to assist in the greater picture, they become simply another obstacle. Cyboar has dealt with such before, and it is likely we shall have to do so again. Your Kaplas deserve investigation on this matter, but we will not do so until the time is right. This unit hopes it is understood in its meaning."

She manage to be let into the palace which at her location would bring her into the grand garden. Secluded groves, herbal garden, hanging garden, Vineyard, fountains, and even masterful statues could be seen around the garden. A few nobles could be seen strolling about the place but she would see the heir she was here for taking a walk across a main walkway of garden, Eusebios. Finely groomed he posses the typical Zantine noble attire only for his they were white with a sun motif on it. His family coat of arms. There was a relaxed air around the heir. He did not seem as stuffy like most young heirs tend to be. In a matter of fact he seemed to have come to accept his role in life as the heir to the family.
"Haa you're right in that regard. Old Equusalem thrived because they were small, compact, and had a strong sense of community. But when Equusalem began to assimilate the rest of Equidae civilizations that culture was lost. I suppose you can say that unlike the Iammelonian melting pot our pot contents did not mix well together. We were too lenient on the integration process. Ahaana may have been a revolutionary mare in her time but as generations pass her teachings become radicalized, misinterpreted, and abused." Menaal gave a soft sigh. "Ah beside my church life I enjoy doing charity work. I like to be productive in my free time.I pretty much got my workaholic mindset from my mother." She joked. "Tell me a bit about yourself?"
It only took a few moments till they found who they were looking for. Garbed in a luxurious dress the Lomli Paresusl was walking down a corridor when they cross paths. Even in the rather dim lighting of the hallways they could sense a mystical aura around her. Her ethereal mane mane flows freely down her back, a seemly infinite sea of stars. Her body proportions is simply sublime and a bit modest. She was beautiful to say the least. Her moderate cyan eyes settle its gaze on the group as they approached. "Mm?" She vocalized as she got the feeling that they were here for her in some manner. "Is there something you need?"
A low, show hum could be heard emanating from the old drake. "There's no need to apologize Miss Rezanary,. Rather it's somewhat of a good timing. My mediation period came to a end." He muses. His scales then took on a translucent composition as his body seem to crumble into blue particles. The mass of energy becoming smaller and more compacted. Before she knew it instead of the massive dragon looming over her is now a humanoid dragon of average human height with a athletic build. He was adorn in dark blue robes that showed much of his toned chest. His scales now a lighter blue and looks to be somewhat more softer. As evident from her he is standing bare feet in the snow it would appear that the temperature does not seem to effect him. He walked closer to Rezanary to be within proper conversation distance, his slender white tail swaying behind him. As a Anubite he would be able to sense the unique aura that surrounds him. Unlike the imposing pressure felt from any dragon it was the reverse with Viintaasvrii. Humble, light, soft, but most importantly but not unexpected it felt old, very old. "It would be a honor to aid the Union. It would go against my personal code to stand by and watch the flames of war rage on." He answered simply. Seemly not a hard decision for him to decide on. For which reason is unknown. It could either be his warrior nature knowing what path to take or perhaps he had internally debated on lending aid. "Hmm, you know I can not help but feel you in peculiar were sent to find me. The Anubite Empire were pinning after me for a long while. I would be surprise if they did not use this as a indirect way to corner me on a long ship travel time to get knowledge after me." He spoke in mock accusation. A kind grin apparent on his face as he establish eye contact with Rezanary. "Fortunately for you I'm rather gregarious despite what one would expect at my age. So I'm sure we'll get along."
"I knew my interest in Cyboar were grounded." For the briefest of moments the Envoy would catch her eyes taking on a amber sheen. "Life must certinally always strive to greater heights. Going back to the lesson of the third kalpa, one of the 'distored' Paresusl played the role of the villain to give the Equdae motivation. Akrsna devised a plan to elevate the race. To have them evolve to a degree that they can kill gods. Akrsna succeeded. The First Amanfeame'a, founder of the Equusalemite Brotherhood. A knightly order of warriors that did not burrow power from Science, Divine, or Blood. They were a wonderful group, gong beyond their limits. When they struck down the first Paresusl, Akrsna believed he could steer the order to his desired target. Sadly he was misunderstood and perished. Ah if only if he had succeeded, I really sympathize with him. Anyhow I'm not surprise you want to investigate the Kalpas. It's artificial in nature when you begin to look at it. When the corrupted Paresusl came to be their reign of terror never extended outside of Equidae systems and into the rest of the Iammelonian nebula. Interesting stuff. You'll have fun when the time comes."

The Garden was pleasant to Caldera, for while she did not recognize barely any of the flowers, it was still nice to walk through. She ignored the strolling nobles, since right now she wasn't in the mood for dealing with them, and focused her attention on Eusebios. It was nice to see somebody who seemed to have accepted their role, quite like her, and so Caldera decided this probably wouldn't be so bad. She walked up to Eusebios and spoke up after doing a short greeting bow, "Greetings, Eusebios of the Mundaslistianya Family. I am Caldera Lasacris, and it is a pleasure to meet you. I hope my visit isn't too abrupt, but I feel the reason as to why I am here is important enough to warrant the special arrival. I'm going to suppose you can guess what that reason is?"
Leonious thought about it, considering that difference between their two nations. It wasn't something he thought about much, but he did have some ideas on it, "It really does seem we managed the whole pot boiled together rather well in the case of Iammelon. But I suppose that can't be so easily replicated in other lands. Iammelon had a lot to unify it. My own home of the Zantine Empire spread a common culture of citizenship and culture that bypassed species and even local cultures, which lends itself well to Iammelon's current situation. But the Empire lasted, we could maintain those things and continue to act as a beacon and teacher, even if we lost a lot of our power. Ahaana, as you said, provided the same, but she was an individual, not a culture in herself, meaning that without her to stay the course things changed. No wonder your country is far less integrated. Heh, I'd offer Iammelonian assistance in correcting that, since we're rather good at that, but we're a bit busy debating who is the most Iammelonian." Then he smiled, liking this lighter topic that came to him more easily, "Nice things to be. I'm not a workaholic myself, as you can already tell, but I cannot fault anybody for wanting to work hard on what they care about! Charity is an admirable thing to dedicate yourself towards, wish I had the time. As for me? Well, I'm tenth in the line of my father's legitimate children, so I'm not exactly as noble as the rest of my family. Even my younger siblings, who are geared for political marriage, are better off than me in that way. I followed my elder sister Ragnia instead. Spent a lot of time with the Rangian Vanguard, and other folks who worked to get into the court. So, I take interest in the smaller matters that my family does not. While Caldera is off courting the nobles of this planet, I'm just hoping for a parade or large gathering of normal folk to go to. See what the normal citizens of this planet want. The bigger picture is not for me. So I have no idea why my father sent me along, but I'm going to do my best to help in my own way, on my own terms."
Upon sighting Ilunaelistianya and her rather stand out garb and appearance, it wasn't hard for the team to be sure they had found who they were looking for in the base. The beauty could be agreed upon by all the members of the team, even Artrad as a Watrike had to take notice, and it was not easy to get such out of a stern and professional Watrike like him. Still, they kept their balance, and so when Ilunaelistianya spoke to them, Yoniria's initial surprise was quickly overridden as she quickly got into responding, "Yes, actually! You are Ilunaelistianya, correct? My name is Yoniria! With me are Artrad, Zali, and Maccrin. We come from Iammelon, specifically the Iammelonian Union, to request your help. We've heard about you, as well as Caelistianya, and we wish to convince you to help the Iammelonian Union in its current civil conflict with the opposing Iammelonian Confederacy. The Confederacy is dangerous, and we want to end this conflict before the chaos gets out of hand and too many people are hurt. So, we want to see if you and Caelistianya would be willing to help."
Rezanary was surprised at how easily Viintaasvrii agreed to join them, as she expected at least a bit more convincing to get the Dragon onside. But she was quite pleased. Her smile was not visible under the armor, but she was smiling, as well as her two companions, so the Dragon could sense their contentment with his acceptance. More surprising was his sudden transformation into his compact form. Nulka noted for herself that, since he had taken on a human height, he was about the size of the others, but Nulka as a Watrike was still taller, which was interesting to her. Rezanary however nodded her head and simply accepted it, since it made transport easier, "Well, that transformation of yours certainly makes the job of getting you there much easier. Nonetheless, thank you. The raging fire of war really does need to be put out as soon as possible, and the Union has plans on how to do just that with the help of powerful individuals like yourself." Then she was thrown off a bit more, as her secret hope was so quickly thrown out there. Rezanary thus continued a bit more embarrassed, with his mocking accusation being right on the money, "Well, ehm... I'd be lying if I said one of my reasons for volunteering for this recruitment mission was to ask some questions, and then maybe bring that back to the Empire. Can't blame me for it, can you? It's a great opportunity for an aspiring scholar like myself! But thank you for being open to it, because it's going to happen! Still, we should start getting back to the ship. Come on everyone!"
With that, Rezanary, Nulka, and Nikros prepared to trek back towards the settlement that their shuttle was based in. Since they knew where they were going now, this return trip was much easier, and they could go with more confidence with the knowledge they had been successful. Rezanary however decided to strike up a conversation on this short trip, to get some questions going even before she could corner him on the ship. The Anubite began simply, "So, Vii, if you'll allow me to call you that... What were you doing back there? With the whole tree sculpture? You mentioned a mediation period, but what's that about?"
The Envoy nodded her head in understanding, though once again not in full agreement, "To completely ignore science or blood or whatnot is quite silly. It is an admirable thing, but delving too much into naive things is self destructive. That is why balance is quite needed. Cyboar breaks limits, but as one can tell we are not forswearing technology. It is a difficult balance, but one that must be reached in order to progress life and its glory in the purest sense. And this Third Kapla and its reign of terror does indeed require some looking into it, with its limited reach. Perhaps some subjects yet remain that Cyboar can make use of in that regard, but regardless it is something to look into. Hm, is there any other matters to attend to here?"

Eusebios gaze settle on the Lasacris noble as she bowed before him. Visibly a bit intrigued that a princess of the imperial family would make such a sudden appearance. Listening to what she had to say he became somewhat skeptical. Now he knew the Zantine nobility courting methods since he was young so he could see the subtle signs. But he held second doubts, surely the imperial family had more tact than that. So the heir went with the safest option. "Caldera Lasacris. An honor to meet such a esteemed member of the Imperial Family." He polity bowed in return. "A reason you say? I'll take a guess that the Emperor wish to get to know my family. It's understandable after all to not repeat history by not keeping other families in check." Eusebios reasoned. Knowing that Northern Zantine Families tend to be somewhat unnoticed by the emperor due to the distance between Equusalem and the empire. So it made logical sense that the Empire could be curios about the families up north.
Menaal was quiet but seem to be enjoying just listening to Leonious. Swishing her feet under the table as he went on about himself. "That sounds quite the family life. We Equusalemites have large families especially mine so I can empathize on how that can feel. For me I'm the sixth youngest out of a family of seven. I had a lively childhood." She notes with a smile.
Ilunaelistianya tilts her head somewhat in minor curiosity. She was not hesitant to join the conflict but more so was taken aback that she was relevant once more. She spent her Lomli years lending a hand here and there but that's about it. Typically it's her sister who people tend to remember more. It also felt somewhat wrong to leave a Aztecha operation here but she knew the order of priority. "I'm touched that you seek my help. If my aid is valued that much then there is no reason for me to decline. Especially in such saddening times." The mare than turn her gaze to the side. "Caelistianya will take more convincing so it was a wise choice for you to seek me out first. I should be able to get through her." She spoke with assurance as she knows her elder sister better than anyone. "Before that I have to ask, for what purpose do you seek us out?" She ask in genuine interest. Sure she and her sister may have wisdom but there are a lot of talented people in Iammelon. It felt as if there is something special tasked for them.
Viintaasvrii took in joy at the feeling of contentment from the trio. This friendly air was the sort of atmosphere he seeks with other people. It was amusing as he could understand their surprise. More often than not when one ages so does their motivation to do things in life. Dragons are no exception to this fact. At a point in a dragon lifespan they will begin to have thoughts along the lines of ‘I have already done this. There is no point to this. It doesn’t matter in the end.’ And the sort. Old beings such as Xerf are an example of one letting the weight of the past be a burden to them. To put it in another way, boredom is the poison of the soul. “Haah no need to thank me! I always shift to a more sociable form.” He gave a light laugh. A deeper reasoning is that he felt it was more respectful this way. Having a distaste for having to look down to people below him. That it made him a bit unapproachable. Which does not fly with someone who cherish socialization. Listening to the further explanation he has a better grasp of the situation. Having specialized fire teams to take out assets that require top talent is a valid tactic. Not to mention he partook in strike teams before so it would be interesting to see who his comrades will be. A grin spread across his maw at hearing Rezanary confess. Letting out a deep, rumbling laugh he walked over and playfully slung his arm around the Anubite neck. “You’re such a pure soul Rezanary! It makes me want to coddle you. Heh, to bravely enter my den and seeking to return home with treasure. You better take take responsibility for what may come next.” He gave a lighter laugh as he lifted his arm off of her. Giving her a friendly pat on her shoulder.
With the now group of four heading off back through the passage he took note of Rezanary taking glances before mustering the will to speak to him. “You may call me however you wish.” He gave a small shrug. Not bothered by how people refer to him. With the next question his general aura took on a more wizened emotion. “My you’re an eager one.” He gave a small joke before going to answer the question. The display back there is my version of the ceremony I learned long ago where alien monks would spend weeks making mandalas out of sand before destroying them. The underlying message of the ceremony is that nothing is permanent. Nothing. All things are in flux, it says, beautiful but ephemeral, moving but temporary, a plateau but not a summit. All things are called to balance and enlightenment and the fulfillment of the Divine image in them, yes, but in flux. Always in flux.” His tone was much more relaxed than what is was mere moments ago. Revealing that he has a calm soul beneath his friendly persona. “For a dragon it means to understand the tempo of the universe. You may live forever, become strong, be famous, or perhaps help build civilizations but in the end we have to accept that they too are transient. To not live in the past, but instead have it become the source of your drive. Now, how this fits in my medication period is that it’s the final stage of it. Whenever I feel like needing spiritual healing I spend a year to do just that. Pilgrimage, fasting, meditating, and finally the ceremony.” Meditation was something the old drake valued greatly. If it weren’t for the time spent healing his spirit he doubted he could have lasted as long as he did without breaking like Xerf.
“You study Blood Magic? I admit I’m surprised. I didn’t took Cyboar the type to deal with questionable entities. Now as you said it’s logical to achieve balance.” She admits. “Ah, as for other matters. I was interested in either a truce or some research pact but with the civil war going on that would draw too many suspicious eyes to us. For now, I feel this has been a good first meeting between us. As a token of goodwill I wish to share some information with you.” Taking out a small phone from her robes she clicked a button. Prompting a small screen to pop up above the table. Showing the image of Vy'shak and Lord Macky talking. “I’ve been notified from my neural chip that the war council which my spy is in are talking about trying to capture Cyboar official. Do as you wish with this information.”

Caldera understood the heir's caution, and was impressed with his probing question. It was a sensible one, and an open one to get information out of. Better than most nobles who got direct too quickly. So, without knowing it he made a good impression with his politeness and skepticism. She smiled to him and nodded, "You got the right idea, I'll say that. The Emperor does wish to reconnect with our kin in the north, and see how things are going for you and others here on Spursepolis. And other planets in Equusalem, for that matter. That has been what I have been doing so far while I was here, reconnecting and learning. And now I've learned about your own family, so I came to look into it. Apparently, you are the ones with the most influence over the Equusalemite Zantines. So, I felt it prudent to come and visit, and gauge something I have been considering."
Leonious was actually happy she let him go on, and was actually listening. Generally people either tuned him out, or interrupted him. Wasn't common he could continue talking for long before being stopped or forgotten at home. He smiled back, and chuckled, "Hehe, so we're both somewhat late children then. A fun coincidence, and means we can get eachother. Though I bet you probably spent more time with your siblings than I did. Mine were often off doing other things. Only ones I really bonded with are Caldera and Ragnia. Mostly got raised by Ragnia and the Rangian Vanguard she's named after."
Aztecha, being a corporation supporting the Union, would certainly understand the necessity of Ilunaelistianya going off to support the war effort. So, she could be sure they would manage, Anubites were tenacious like that. Still, her concern was understood by Yoniria, who moved to answer it, "Yes, we were hoping that you'd be able to help us with your elder sister, so thank you. As for why we are searching the two of you out, we were recommended you by Equusalem. The Union is seeking individuals of skill and power, and Lomli like yourselves still willing to help fit the bill well. We need you as we are preparing specialized strike teams to hit at powerful people who have sided with the Confederacy, people who if left to their own devices can certainly increase the length of the war and its devastating potential. These people can be of extreme power like yourself, or dangerous propagandists and manipulators who may sow strife in the Union and any allied with it, and yet more. So, we ask for your assistance and your sister's in removing these dangers before they completely bloom, and threaten many more people."
Rezanary was embarrassed by Viintaasvrii's affability and doing things like putting an arm around her shoulder, which was surprising to her. Still, ultimately she was most interested in his answers to his questions. Her embarrassment quickly faded as she got excited, wishing she had a notebook on her to start writing things down, such as his noticeable change in tone. So she just nodded along with him speaking, and spoke up practically as soon as she was sure she was finished so she could get more out there, "I see, I see! So you meditate to understand and prepare for the constant fluctuation of the galaxy! Makes sense for a creature such as yourself that often outlasts these things, so I guess it's like a way of coping then? That's really what spiritual healing is after all. Still, very interesting! So is that something you share with other Dragons? Or leave for them to learn for themselves? Oh! And if that's the case, how do you think that applies to less longer living species? Which I guess is anything that isn't a Dragon, but the question still stands!" While Rezanary was speaking, they had gotten back to the shuttle. So, now Viintaasvrii could be cornered on a small ship for the ride, with no more escape. Nulka and Nikros decided to handle the takeoff process and reporting, since they would absolutely not be able to rip Rezanary away now that she had started.
The Cyboar Envoy was at first a bit curious as to what she meant by a token of goodwill, but then she saw what was revealed. The conservation didn't seem to shock the Cyboar Augmented much, who simply nodded, "Cyboar will be prepared. We always are, we will simply be a bit more prepared now. Regardless, this token is accepted and appreciated, so your goodwill is noted." The mention of a neural chip was also interesting, but the Envoy didn't express that. Interest in other cybernetics was natural for Cyboar, but they left that to themselves and didn't let others in on these interests. Instead, she nodded again, "As a quick clarification, Cyboar does not practice blood magic, but we study everything. All threats must be noted and understood if they are to be defeated. Regardless, any treaties must indeed wait until the Civil War either dies down, or an opportunity is presented. So, I believe we are finished for now."
