Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

The princess was a step up above the rest of the Zantine he'll give her that. It takes a bit of wisdom to grasp proper wordplay. "It's a wise to learn of the powerbases regardless of planet." He spoke in agreement with her carefully structured reasoning.   "As for Mundaslistianya Family it's true we hold a degree of sway over the population. So I'm obligated to share any information  that you might wish."

"That's correct" Menaal affirmed his guess. "In my home village our family were close-knit. It get a bit hectic during the holidays when other family members come over. But not just them but also their herdmates and even the herdmate children herdmates. The largest family gathering in my lifetime was close to a hundred people! She exclaimed as she remember how lively that day was. "Beside the rest of my family I do get along with my brothers and sisters."

Regardless of the necessity the mare has become somewhat attached to the employees here. A selfish desire she knew but could not help it. Nodding slightly in understanding she has a better understanding of the situation. It would make sense for Equusalemites to recommend the Lomli. She and her kin posses a degree of talent that not many can ever reach. "I suppose it can't be helped. I'll accept this request." Ilunaelistianya was not a fighter by any means. Certainly not as good when she was still her prime, let alone being a true Paresusl. Centuries of nonviolence led to her arsenal becoming dull. Caelistianya on the other hand is the fighter out of the siblings. Always have been. While she is no longer akin to a red hypergiant at her peak she's still equivalent to a yellow dwarf in power output. A monster of a powerhouse is a great asset to any war effort.

The Anubite enthusiasm was clearly rubbing off on the drake. A small smile ever present as they saunter through the icy valley. "You certinally don't hold back. I appreciate that." He gave a short laugh at the blunt questioning. Giving a friendly pat on her back. Typically non-Dragons tend to walk on eggshells when they address a Dragon age. Old dragons like the Black Dragons of Heord would have probably disliked being asked such questions. For Viintaasvrii it did not bother him when people bring up about his longevity. Those who are of a calm and happy nature will hardly feel the pressure of age, but to those who are of an opposite disposition, youth and age are equally a burden. "I suppose mediation is a way to help me cope with stuff. Mediation is a healthy practice regardless of species. The goal of meditation is not to get rid of thoughts or emotions. The goal is to become more aware of your thoughts and emotions and learn how to move through them without getting stuck. The end results are plentiful such as less stress, anxiety control, promote emotional health, enhance self-awareness, and in my option the most important one is generating kindness."  Viintaasvrii explained to Rezanary.

All the while they got to the shuttle and headed up the ramp inside. Passing through the airlock he would clean himself of the frost that was built up on him while the others got out of their protective equipment. Rezanary  possibly being the type to not let anyone out of her sight would have full view of his exposed upper body as he cleaned his robe. After all it's not the role of a scholar to learn of every anatomical detail about the person they're studying? The proper lights now illuminating his defined muscles. Once that was done the pair would head to the lounging area. Viintaasvrii would head over to the couch to sit given he has the feeling that this will be a long ship ride. Getting comfy the drake would continue speaking. "As much I may sound like a old hermit atop a mountain giving out proverbs, I'm not really a teacher in the regular sense. I don't feel the need to. Hoshizoran societies been around for so long that anyone can find stuff on mediation." Granted he knew that he holds a unique perspective on the universe due to his age and experiences. He simply feel that he would be just another voice among trillions. "Now as for sharing with other dragons. I want to say I don't feel a special sense of kinship with them. Especially the Golden Dragons of Heord." He can still recall the visit he made to a city near the Golden Mountain in a attempt to get to know them. That ended in a brawl in the market square between a few dozen Gradix fanatics and four racist dragons who were not too keen of a 'Otherscale' in their midst.  That took a good week of being questioned by Excave officials of what had happen in the marketplace. Most of which them being curios on how he manage to leave the scene fairly unscathed while the rest were on the ground with fractured scales and broken bones.  Since then he distance himself from the golden dragons, But he did took a visit to Heord's Vudsi Islands. That was a much better experience.

"Typically I spend my time with non-dragon species. Ironically I find it easier to connect to them than my own kind." The reasoning is mostly of the difference in desire. In many dragons he see their desire for power, to be high in the social ladder, to accumulate wealth, to be beautiful. Not to say that non-dragons don't have this, but rather those dragons remind him of himself when he was their age. Remind him of the consequences when he was recklessly prideful. Of his arrogance of believing himself to being a apex predator.

He can still remember her shadow. Of a maw with rows of seemly endless teeth. The primal wrath in her eyes at the death of her hatchlings by his thunder (group of dragons) claws. Up to that point they had believed themselves to be the largest. Only to be eclipsed by the Etherwhale Matriarch a thousand times over. Fear. Hopelessness. Powerlessness. He felt these for the first time in his life. Seeing his thunder being devoured was the first time he heard death knells from a sentient.

"In general I'm more of a motivator to help others in dark times. Although I do train others in self defense and other martial stuff." After all he's a veteran when it comes to fighting in all scenarios. He can still remember it all. The students he taught. The wars he survived. The ruin that he himself brought upon the land.

"That it is. It been a productive discussion. I look forward to the opportunity to discus with each other again." With the meeting come to a close she would walk back to the hanger with the group to see them off. Giving a wave when the shuttle would lift off. 'May justice be done through heavens fall' For a fleeting moment her eyes shifted once more. Black sclera surrounding her amber irises.

Caldera was enjoying herself on this, since she was liking Eusebios. He was neither too eager or too arrogant, as was usual of people in his position. They either got delusions of grandeur, or were insufferable suckups to the Imperial Family. She didn't like either, as they were both problems. The ability to stay cautious yet respectful was respectable. Still, she had to keep this up for a bit more, "Indeed, and the Imperial Family likes to indulge in wisdom from time to time. As for the Mundaslistianya Family, I am of course interested in your family's stance on my family. Your loyalty, so to say. And, of course, if you are looking to further relations with the Lasacris family. Bring the North and the Core of the Zantine Empire closer together."

Leonious sighed, a bit jealous of that close-knit family. But he still smiled, "That sounds good then. Getting along with your family is a precious thing, since familial bonds are special ones. I'm envious of that, as well as such big family gatherings! My extended family is large enough for that, but not nearly close enough to gather in such numbers for anything that wasn't politically important. I am happy for you however, Menaal. Good memories to cherish."

This got a smile out of Yoniria, who took on a beaming smile after the acceptance. She bowed her head in thanks, "Your help will be very much appreciated! Thank you! Of course, before we can go, we have to convince your sister, which I hope you will assist us with. Will you show us to the way to her, Ilunaelistianya? I think it would be a good impression if you led the way, and we don't wish to give your sister the impression you were unfairly pressured into this. That's one of the reasons the Union sent small teams out actually, rather than large taskforces. It would be no good if appeared to be trying to threaten you into helping us, it'd only detract from our hopes to finish this war quickly and with as little damage as possible. But I digress, we should get going."

Rezanary was of course an enthusiastic Anubite making a big discovery for her kind, she wasn't going to hold back. What was a bit of egg on her feet when at the end was a trove of knowledge? So, she pressed on, nodding along to what he was saying in understanding or interest, or both. And she did of course keep an eye on Viintaasvrii's figure. She was curious after all about his transformation, getting out of her own equipment quickly, back into her simply Union uniform underneath, eyes never going off the Dragon's new form as she analyzed it. She was very curious about it, and had some questions about it, but first she wanted the answers to her first questions, and so followed him to the lounge. She sat down next to him, keeping a respectful distance but still close.

Rezanary took a bit longer to respond this time, in case Vii had further thinking and consideration to do, but once she was sure she was left an opening she nodded and spoke up, "I see! So you prefer non-Dragons to Dragons, perhaps because they are powerful yet in their comparative youth are still arrogant and swimming in their power instead of the acceptance of the transient nature of the universe you found? Or is that over complicating it? Still, it's interesting to know! Ultimately the Dragons of Heord are the ones I know, and of course are the main Dragon species in the galaxy as far as I know, so probably hard for you to avoid. But it's interesting you like us non-Dragons more. I guess perhaps because, in our weakness to aging, we treat the world differently than Dragons who don't fear it. So that factors into my next question! Is your interest in non-Dragons why you have this form of yours at the ready? Where did you learn to do that? Is your body based on somebody or something, or entirely your own making?"

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

“I’ll be honest, the Mundaslistianya Family has been preoccupied to pay much notice to the core empire. To show our loyalty I’ll let you in on some sensitive information. The Cardinal Council is compromised. Third parties have been making power plays while using the Iamelonian Civil War as a smokescreen. My father fears that Equusalem will fall into its own civil war soon. Currently we’ve been making precautions for it.” While it was risky to let the information out, Eusebios knew it was higher priority to show that he shows trust in the royal family. The last thing his family needs to make enemies out of them. “I won’t lie that bringing the two closer is beneficial for a variety of reasons. A united empire is a strong empire after all. Yet I must stay my hand to uphold a family legacy. Our family progenitor, Caelistianya has left us with tools in preparation for the Great Prophecy. She foresaw the state of Equusalem and its end. The prophecy foretells that paradise will be lost for the second time.”

“You’re too kind.” Menaal said In thanks. There are a lot of memories she definitely cherish. She somewhat still wish to still be back at the village. Lately she has been getting bad vibes from the other Cardinals.

With both parties in agreement they would make their way to where Caelistianya was meditating at. Ilunaelistianya going on ahead to converse with her elder sister. It took a bit of convincing but that was expected. The lunar mare knows that her sister is reluctant to fight. But she managed to get through her in the end. Regrouping back at the shuttle the group would see Caelistianya coming into view. Adorned in golden armor of extreme quality. After she gives her polite greetings she would join them on the ship with Ilunaelistianya close behind her.

"No no you are not wrong. I do have a complicated relationship with other dragons." Viintaasvrii admitted freely. Not the type to hide his feelings from others. He knows from experience that talking about certain things can ease the weight on his shoulders. To get out in the open instead of rolling it over and over in his head. "Your reasoning is not far off. The origin of my unease comes from my time on Shyr during the Age of Dragons. To build up to the next answer I visit worlds like Shyr designed as their native race to walk among them. In this tale I was an Urvan, a Light Militant. I was there during the curtain call of the age. Witness first hand of the atrocities dealt by the Dragon lords of Urva on the hapless population because they deemed them to be insects in their 'divine pressence'. I...do not condone what came after. That's a sad fact of war that I learned once more. There is no such thing as a 'good or bad side'. War is war." The drake gave a sigh. A not too somber expression visible on his face.

"How can I not be concern when I see Tyfrondor and his Golden Dragons idolized? How can I not get the sense of foreboding when he made Heord the center of Excave and perhaps the center of all of Iammelon after the war?" Just as dark thoughts threaten to cloud his mind they were quickly broken up his still burning will. His face becoming softer and warmer once more. "I was close to siding with the Confederacy. Almost let my bias and fear to dictate my judgement. To directly attack Heord, to humble them, to bring them down to the ground with the rest of it. Despite that I knew it was wrong to brand the entire Union as a enemy on the actions of the few." He confessed which illustrate more of his honest nature.

His mood went back to normal when his thoughts turn to the next question. "It's a complicated answer so I suppose I'll start at the beginning. In my early years when I began to properly explore the universe. I came across worlds and found myself too small to get into small places. So with my teachings I experimented new ways to utilize them. My first breakthrough in polymorphing was that I was able to change my height and weight. By the time I met my first proto-civilization I was at a point where I can maintain my size indefinitely. Shrinking myself I was able to observe the new race I found. Till then I never met any other race beside my own so it was quite amazing to discover. Time pass and I wanted to interact with them but was concerned that they would be scared by my appearance. So heading elsewhere to grow my my polymorphing I learned how to change my shape entirely. Turning into the form of the natives. Happy with myself I tested the disguise by heading into the village. To my joy it worked. This is the true start of the shape shifting dragon across the ages." He gave a chuckle as he joked. "I spent a lot of my life in this manner. Discover a world on my travels, disguise myself as the native, walk among them, and experience their views in life. Yes, I even was a Anubite at one point." He noted as he felt that is something she would ask. "Now when it comes to this form in peculiar it's somewhat based on the concept of 'Identity'. Across the aeons I never defined myself by whatever flesh I take. I don't see myself as a Dragon, a Anubite, or a Ghashyr. Viintaasvrii Vujaaril is Viintaasvrii Vujaaril. Shaped by the ideals and experiences in life. That what this form repersent, it gives no bias to one race and is not any race. This is Viintaasvrii Vujaaril. Now is this why I have it at the ready? Somewhat, I'm not fond of towering over others or having to look down to talk to them. I consider you Rezanary, along with Nikros and Nulkas as equals. So I walk beside you as equals. Besides," He took a look around the lounge. "Not many things are built with dragons in mind." Viintaasvrii joked.

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

Caldera found that bit of information very fascinating, and it was important to know. It brought up a number of complications for the Empire and her father's plan for the civil war. Nothing devastating, but it was certainly something he would need to be made aware of if it was true. Not to mention, it gave her a new objective in case Equusalem fell into its own civil war, like what was apparently predicted. So, she nodded to Eusebios, "That is quite concerning, though it's true this is the best smokescreen one can hope for, a chance to bring major change to your country without fear of Iammelon putting a quick stop to it. Though I must of course press something else. If the state of Equusalem falls apart, as according to this family prophecy of yours, would it not make sense to assist those preparations by drawing closer to allies you can trust and know will be friendly? I'd personally find that if paradise is to be lost, then your duty would be to quickly ensure you can get the best you can for your people and family. Though that is merely a piece of advise, on my part. I don't know the full prophecy, though if you could enlighten me further as to its nature, perhaps the Empire could find ways to assist that do not interfere with your current preparations. After all, we do still have our obligations to our northern brethren, and this situation does seem like it would call for the Empire to be active. I'd say it falls well within the duty of the royal family, would you not agree?"

Leonious smiled and shook his head, "Nah, I'm just in a good mood, and I like to return the favor for putting me in that good mood. Sadly can't stay here forever, but if you'd like you can come visit the palace for another chat! It's been renovated, so it can handle visitors now. Mostly Caldera's visitors, noble and political types, but doesn't stop a more casual and nice visit from happening. I'm still a prince, and you're a Cardinal, so hardly as if it's not of importance, at least according to the scribes. Ah titles... Anyways, the offer is open if you want to come over! Though either way, I have to get going."

Yoniria and her team waited at the shuttle, anxiously awaiting the return of one sister with the other in tow. She was quite glad to see Caelistianya arrive, happy to see that she had been successfully convinced, and politely welcomed her aboard the Union shuttle. With her and Ilunaelistianya on the ship, the team got in and took off, leaving the world and heading back towards Union space. In the lounging area of the shuttle, Yoniria handled the processing of debriefing the two of them, "Thank you, both of you, for agreeing to this request from the Iammelonian Union. I'm sure Ilunaelistianya told you, but we're setting up strike teams to take out high priority Confederate targets, people of extreme power or influence who we can take out to advance the war effort. But, importantly, not ones who would be martyred and through their death actually extend the war. Hence why you won't be aiming for people like Monrio, Grand Admiral Bez'eth, or the Zantine Emperor. Too public. No, we're going for people the Confederates have as secret weapons, things they purposely keep hidden from the public. Either for surprise unleashing them on the battlefield, or for them to work their magic in the shadows over time. We're currently headed to a rendezvous point to link up with other members of the strike teams, and then you'll get your targets once those teams have been fully set up. Though, ehm, guess that means we'll be in this shuttle a bit. So... Uhm, any questions? I know some thing about the targets and other people, so if there's anything you want to know ahead of time, I can tell you. Well, maybe I can. Depends, but still worth trying."

Rezenary was a bit worried she was probing a bit far with her questions based on that more emotional response this time. She could see that, despite his calm visage, there were things he still felt passionately about, his own kind in particular it seemed. Be they from Shyr, or Heord. Still, it was all very interesting to her, but she was a bit relieved to see him calm down a bit more. Vii got a giggle out of her when he predicted her questioning of whether or not he had ever been an Anubite, but she nodded as one of her theories were confirmed, "I see! So this form is just what you see as being a bipedal Viintaasvrii, not copied from anything else. Your own making to suit your own view of yourself if you were simply a biped instead of a Dragon, but maintaining all the features that are part of you all the same. Very interesting. And very true! Dragons are not exactly what most architects are accounting for unless you're on Heord, and some parts of Trikorn. Dragon-friendly areas are not too common, though with Dragons becoming more relevant today they are more common than before. Still, more questions! Now, in regar-" The Anubite was cut off by a snarl of irritation from behind, causing her to look at the source.

A bit behind Rezenary was Nulka, the female Watrike member of the team, and she seemed rather displeased. Though her displeasure was clearly aimed at Viintaasvrii, whom she was giving a glare. If Viintaasvrii was watching closely, he would have seen that she had taken interest in the conversation from the sides as soon as she heard the mention of Tyfrondor, and was not happy at his honest telling of what he wanted to do. Though her approach had been rather stealthy despite her clear annoyance, which was more down to Watrike instinct and displaying of their built in warrior senses and movement. Nulka's voice was deeper than Rezenary's, and had a tone of anger in it as she pointed to Viintaasvrii, "Humbling is required of you, Dragon, not those you speak so poorly of. The arrogance of knowing better clouds your mind, and taints your words. If you do not like speaking down to people, you should remove those clouds that buoy yourself so high in the air. What do you know of identity when you do not consider yourself a Dragon, as you say, yet in other Dragons you only see Dragon. You mark Tyfrondor as a a Dragon, hiding behind the actions of Dragons many solar systems away and in many years past. You have bias and fear you still need to confront, Dragon." Despite her cold words and a face that spoke of anger, Nulka wasn't moving any close than just pointing. Her body language did not indicate preparing for a fight, more like that of a stern mother.

Rezenary stood up to get between Nulka and Viintaasvrii, looking at the Watrike in annoyance, "Nulka! I understand your stake in the matter but now is not the time! I'm trying to ask questions and understand our new ally! And he is our ally! So don't get hostile with Vii, we don't have the time for these things! The shuttle ride will only be so long, so don't make it tense when it doesn't need to be."

Eusebios obliged and explained the prophecy that the family progenitor left behind. She warns that the Kalpa cycle is still poisoned ever since the first fall of paradise in the Third Kalpa. When her sister Ilunaelistianya fell into darkness she was in a place beyond the concept of time and space. Trapped in that void, Ilunaelistianya could see outside of creation and the constellation of time. She saw it, a black virus polluting the currents of time. She took a glimpse into the future and saw that the dark Paresusl rising again in the time of war. The rebirth of Claec the Horrible a few months prior to the Civil War was the first proof of this impending future. The first Paresusl is merely a decoy to draw out the bearers of harmony for the deceiver, Akrsna the Godless to ensure they will pose no threat to their agenda. Bladgen armies of the damned will rise once more to raze the stars of Equidae. Ahriman teachings will begin to infect the souls of many magic users in the realm. And Aamon the Hellspawn will once more coat Equis in rivers of blood. Eusebios discloses some classified evidence that seem to foreshadow these events. At the end of it all he gave a deep breath. "We definitely need the empire aid in this. Considering the entire upper government is compromised due to Aarushi being corrupted by Akrsna. We don't know the nature of the other Cardinals but we have to be cautions in case they might be influenced by Akrsna. In the meantime my family have been securing assets for whatever he may plan. for me I've been courting a priestess who has family ties that date back to the founding of Equusalem. If we groom her she can have a legitimate claim on Equusalem. A strong cultural icon."

"That sounds like a lovely idea. I don't get out as much either." Menaal sounded delighted by the offer. Seemly eager to take a break from the monotony.

The sisters don't have much to say but a general rundown on the targets would be appreciated.

"Rezenary it's alright." Viintaasvrii started as he remained seated on the couch. His posture was leaning forward as he rest his arms on his knees. "Nulka has the right to be angry. To shut her down will not make this go away." The old drake knows from experience that proper communication can put problems to rest instead of letting them build up to cause a larger breakdown in a team environment. Back to the situation at hand he looks to the angry Watrike. There were no sense of irritation coming off of him. In fact he seemed to be at ease despite the fact there was a angry warrior a few feet away. In general he likes it when others criticizes him. "Yes, I do have bias and fear. I admit to those no? I'm not Infallible. I don't seek out to be. To better explain myself, the reason I did not join the Confederacy is because I know Tyfrondor is not the dragons of yore. Plainly speaking he done nothing wrong. Is it wrong to have a personal, loyal army to secure a homeworld? No. Is it wrong to have a world be the center of everything? No. Tyfrondor has been nothing but pragmatic in his reign. I'm just being sentimental in my view. The reason I brought the Shyr story up is because I do not fear Tyfrondor getting drunk with power. No, I was fearing for him. Dragons and even I have a long perspective on life. When we live long enough, we begin to break in various ways. To build something from the ground up, to work towards a beautiful goal for centuries, if something were to happen to whatever was built after so many centuries. It can break a dragon. I also did not join the Confederacy because I don't know Tyfrondor personally. I'm not that narrow minded to make my conclusions on someone I never met. For all I know he could very well understand the weight of the fate he chose to bear. That he knows he will experience hardship along the way and is prepared for them. For a dragon that takes a while to learn." He explains in a calm manner.

"As for my identity musings. To give a more personal explanation I crave physical interaction. Hard to do that when you tower fifty feet over most sentients and weigh several hundred tons." He came off as a bit vulnerable when he spoke of this. Never really wanting to expose this side of him so soon. But alas his honesty is both a blessing and a curse. "Yes, I was being somewhat sentimental with this mostly because to give a satisfying answer to Rezenary. I just did not want to say I don't like having to make a conscious effort to watch where I'm walking. It sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud." Let anyone try to walk with a pack of kittens without looking down and see how long it takes to step on them. "Lastly, you are not entirely wrong to claim I don't consider myself a dragon. I have lived in proper civilization as another race longer than my own. So there is some lost connection. But in the end I know I'm a dragon. Just not in a regular way if that makes sense. I'm a Paladin to a very old dragon goddess who only I remember. It's in her name that I made an Oath. To forget that I'm her kin is to forget my Oath and all the sacrifices I made, the things I done, would be all for nothing." He knew the conversation was getting too personal for his taste. Hell the only reason he was opening this much was partly due to his desperation for some emotional connection. But he had to clear up the mess that he had inadvertently caused. If that meant he had to open his wounds than so be it.

All this information was very much a major change to Caldera's plans. There was much more work to do. So the upset that Eusebios was aiming to court somebody else, while saddening since she liked him, wasn't too big in comparison to the troubles this meant for her father's plans. The Empire would need to act quickly to secure its interest and the plans of its Emperor for the future. Working with the Mundaslistianya Family became necessary now, though the marriage part of the original plan could be discarded. So, Caldera nodded to Eusebios, "The Empire will absolutely have to assist in this matter. Sadly the Civil War means we cannot fully invest, but we can provide help in many ways. You continue with your courting of whomever this priestess is, since that sounds like it will be helpful. However, you'll need to try and stall the fall as well. Ultimately time is what you need more than anything, and this is something that the Empire can perhaps assist in. Why not invite one or two of the Cardinals you are unsure about to a feast on Instabull under the guise of Zantine-Equusalem friendship and diplomatic relations? They must be drawn away from their power bases here, and on Instabull they can be investigated for this corruption. We are not entirely lacking when it comes to the matter of spiritual affairs, you don't fight the Anubites for most of the Empire's existence without picking up a few tricks. So, our experts can conduct these investigations while they visit, under the visage of standard security checks. And, on that, it may be a good idea to get some Anubite help. When it comes to matters of a dangerous past returning, they are perhaps the most qualified to help. Though it must be secretly. Having a few Mystics as secret weapons could be essential, but it might make your knowledge too clear if they come openly. After all, unless you're dealing with archaeological work, there's little other reason you'd be bringing in Anubite Mystics. Otherwise, you can have the assurance that the Zantine Empire will do its best to assist your family and Spursepolis if the fall comes."

Leonious smiled and stood up, giving a nod, "In that case, you can come with me back to the palace if you want now. Or later if you have some work to do. Either way, I'll be happy to invite you in for some tea or the like. Though I can't say I drink much tea myself, but there's always trying something new!" With that, he turned to leave. Allowing Menaal to come with him if she was able, but either way returning to his vehicle with his guards to go back to the palace.

Yoniria didn't know too much about all the targets, but she knew of a couple major ones that the Lomli would likely be the ones assigned to handle. First, while the Grand Admiral Bez'eth Ezeri was off the table, her mother Azulraitras Ezeri was not. Azulraitras was an old Dragoness who had many children, but she was also not too fond of Tyfrondor. So, she sided with the Confederacy. Azulraitras was a very deadly individual, whose age and connections had brought her wisdom of many forms of psionic and magical combat, combined with what she had learned herself over many years. The Confederacy was keeping her in reserve as a weapon of mass destruction, a great linebreaker, or even do what the Union was aiming to do and use her in their own strike teams. It was quite necessary to remove this Dragoness before she could be used, either by getting her to give up and go home or taking her out of the equation entirely. The Union's intelligence officers were still unsure of her motives as well, beyond her known dislike of Tyfrondor and considering him too young to be a proper Grand Drake, so that could play into the mission as well.

The second target Yoniria knew that may be involved in the Lomli's mission was another ancient figure, though not a Dragon. Their name was Petros Belisaricuras, a Zantine War Master from the Empire's peak who was legendary for his strength and tactical ability. He was actually dead, but his power was such that in order for him to be stopped the Anubites were forced to seal his spirit away through a complicated ritual, which was something that with enough effort could be reversed and his spirit returned to the land of the living from its banishment. Omnipo had done just that, and so the spirit of Petros Belisaricuras had returned. While he was certainly strong and a masterful tactician who could seriously benefit the Confederacy, his true strength was his psychological impact. He was a figure who was held up as a practical demi-god, and so on the field would inspire fear from his enemies. And to Anubites, he could be a potent piece of bait to draw them into traps. Finally, being so well renowned among Zantines, the return of his spirit could inspire Freeforest style revolts on a massive scale, and bolster the Zantine war effort to a frightening degree. But, as Union Intelligence had learned, Omnipo was still keeping this hidden. They hadn't actually gone over it with the Zantines themselves yet either, instead likely keeping the War Master's spirit as a sort of political captive to use as leverage over the Empire later. This gave an opportunity to finish the banishment of the old warrior, and remove Petros Belisaricuras as a threat. What could be noted as this was described was that Yoniria was clearly a bit depressed talking about this, likely because she was a Zantine herself who merely opposed Omnipo.

Finally, the third target that Yoniria knew of was an odd one. She didn't actually know their name, species, or even their title. What was known however by Union Intelligence was that this shadow figure was part of a special branch of the OMNI Public Relations Department, their propaganda arm. This special branch dealt in more covert propagandizing. The main Public Relations Department were already quite masterful at appealing to various demographics, convincing many on a wide scale to see things the way Omnipo wanted to with enough time and effort. The shadow branch however was known to operate on a more personal and individual basis, aiming to subvert people of talent, charisma, or good connections and make them compliant to Omnipo's desires. Union Intelligence knew little else about them, given their extremely secretive nature even within Omnipo itself, but they did know that some rather important individuals in the branch would be making a visit to a facility that Union Intelligence had been able to locate and identify. The mission was to find the shadow branch operatives and bring them in alive, so the Union could learn more about them, and perhaps discover any individuals in their own ranks that were compromised as a part of this through gleamed knowledge. Yoniria wasn't sure which of these missions the two sisters would be sent on, but she did know it would be one of these three as they were the ones she had been briefed on herself, and she was one of the handlers for the sisters.

Nulka, while still skeptical, actually seemed to be mostly satisfied by Viintaasvrii's answers. So, she simply gave him a nod, and spoke more calmly in response, "Very well, I see. Your answer is not perfect, you still have flaw that you must address. The connection of being a Dragon you do not understand exists in your very nature. It is not a matter of any civilization, and the fact you have been able to live in many civilizations is indicative of that. It is a matter of the perspective granted by that ability. Tyfrondor too has lived in non-Dragon civilization longer than his own, yet you move to assume that, being far younger, he is a product of draconic civilization. Think more on these things before you ask others to learn, and learn the own burdens of age and experience you have taken on. Beyond that, I am satisfied. I will leave you now to the Anubite's interrogation, and wish you luck in surviving this." With that, the Watrike simply walked off, far calmer now.

Left behind was of course a flustered Rezenary, who did not get the chance to respond to Nulka's statement before the Watrike was gone. Sighing, she turned around and back to Viintaasvrii, to continue speaking, "Sorry about that. Nulka is a Watrike, and they are rather protective of the Grand Drake by their own nature. And she in particularly is rather open in that. Anyways." The Anubite quickly returned to her previous excited demeanor as she got back into asking questions, "So, that does bring up a few questions on my part! First, would you be more interested now in trying to get into Dragon Civilization now that's further integrated into a multi-species nation like Iammelon? Do things like actually meet Tyfrondor, for instance. Second, I'd like to know more about your own Dragon kin, and the civilization it had for itself. And of course, about your goddess, since that must factor into the religion of your own Dragon branch. Oh! And what does it mean to be a Paladin, as you said? What's in that oath?" She was particularly curious about this, because now it was getting into the true bread and butter of Anubite curiosity; civilization history and culture.

Eusebios was grateful for everything that was offered and agreed to them. These were dire times so he can't be picky on who he accepts help from. Having more aid in investigation was also needed to help stall and/or possibly prevent the fall all together. The feast idea was also a good prospect. "The assurance is appreciated. I have a feeling that the coming days will become quite hectic."

"I'm free for a few hours so I don't mind coming with you." She sweetly said before getting up. Cleaning things up she would then walk with the prince. "Oh we don't have to drink to tea. I'm up to anything you offer." She gave a smile to the prince.

The targets certinally sound like fearsome individuals. They could not help but wonder which assignment they will be assigned too. As they don't really know how much Equusalemites still remember them beside their legends. While the Anubuites long taught the importance of record keeping to the Equidae. It still have been a long time since they were brought to the galactic stage. Caelistianya muses that she will either be grouped with others to hunt down either of the first two. The solar mare is the most combat orientated out of the two. Even if she has been depowered she was still very much a demi-god on the battlefield like Petros. Noticing Yoniria discomfort she went to comfort the Zantine. Promising if they were to cross paths, she will give him a honorable end.

Ilunaelistianya would be best to hunt down the third target. Secrecy and mystery are the two defining traits of her arsenal. As if symbolizing the sisters, she is the shadow of the sun. Having served as her spymaster for centuries. Uprooted many interstellar conspiracies in her time as a ruling Paresusl. In a show of humility Ilunaelistianya admits that she may be a bit rough due to not keeping up with her training. So don't expect for her to be pulling off godly levels of illusion magic out on the field. Rather it's most likely that she'll be used for her investigation skills.

Viintaasvrii took a silent breath in relief as he watch Nulka walk away. Glad that they were able to diffuse this situation in a calm and rational manner. Far better than what occurred in the market incident. 'All I do is think, how else would I have become so sentimental.' Were his unspoken thoughts on the matter. It was ironic really, he spends so much time mediating that his thoughts still linger in the past and not living in the now. Life is about the journey, to worry about the past or future is to miss the point of living. In a better mood he leaned back again to rest on the couch. "Don't put it against her Rezenary, there's nothing wrong to be defensive about someone you care deeply for." Despite his past experiences he can not dislike the Watrikes for that exact reason. In a way they reminded him of himself. Seeing the Anubite flip back to her jovial self he could not help but smile. In a good-natured gesture he moved his tail to loop around her waist and scooted her closer. "By Akuin grace if every Abubite is this winsome I don't think my old heart can take it." He teases the scholar in a friendly manner. "Hah! I knew you would be on that loose thread when I threw it out there. Everyone pretty much knows lore on ancient civilizations is Anubite greatest thrill." He laughed merrily.

"Ah where to start. Well to start off I still loosely live by my birth culture. To make things easier let's call my kin by my birth tongue, Dovah. The Dovah civilization is similar to a Drakeocracy in structure but with more theocratic elements. When the universe was young it's believed that the First Egg of Genesis was laid on the still molten world of Yolpraav or in today terminology Equis. This egg came from the azure womb of Akuin. The mother of all of my kin. And from this egg birthed the first generation of Dovah. I'm actually a first generation Dovah. I can still remember the seas of lava stretchering before me into the horizon when I took my first steps on a igneous rock shore. Obviously we ran into a problem. All of us were hungry and there were no food yet on Yolpraav. In her maternal kindness Akuin taught us how to fly high, high enough to reach the heavenly sea which we call Ethersea in today terms. She taught us how to use how wings to beat against the currents and use as sails. With her teachings we spent our first years flying across the sea hunting Etherfishes and even Etherwhales when we became good enough." His gaze shifted elsewhere when he mentioned the Etherwhales. "I..was prideful during this time. I was arrogant, full of myself that I don't need Akuin protection in the deep sea. Thought that I was the biggest predator. So I rallied a few like-minded Dovah out into open Ether to hunt the bigger Etherwhales in the area. When we sail into the area, it was then I realized too late that Akuin was protecting us. She had us hunting Etherwhales who were newly born. Small enough so that we could hunt it with no issue. What we found out there, was a true Etherwhale matriarch. Over two thousand meters in length. To say the least...I sailed back alone. Ashamed and humbled. Like a delinquent teenager I crawled back to my mother. What scared me the most back then was that Akuin never raised her voice. Never gave a look of scorn. I dread to imagine what she must be like if she was ever angry. Anyways she gave me a chance to atone for my sins. I were to become her Kendaar, or Paladin in modern terms."

"Now to give a run down on Akuin. Akuin is a very old Goddess, the oldest by the records of Dovah. According to ancient carvings on Word Walls made by Dovah and by living memory of those who remain of the first generation such as myself. She existed before the universe, even before the concept of linear time and the fundamental planes. There are many variants of the genesis among us, from the universe being simply the dream in a sleeping Akuin to being a living god from the last universal cycle. Overall Akuin is regarded as the Empyrean Dragoness, a divine being beyond the conceptual force of time and space thus holds dominion over both. As for my opinion I don't really have a opinion or even know on how the universe was made. All that matters to me is living by Akuin teachings. Akin to the heavenly cosmos she embodies the very sky. Bringing rain to the lands, breathing air to make seeds spread, or makeing a star shine brighter to guide lost travelers. She very much represents the concept of ‘Life’. From bringing prosperity to civilizations, Nurturing the growth of new generations, and to bring dawn to those that lost sight of it. To act against this concept or be a force of entropy is her anathema. Those who seek to live in her name and spread her light must burn like the midday sun to keep darkness forever at bay. Aim to be a symbol of hope and peace in lands lacking in both. As a Kendaar this is my eternal underlining goal that I was entrusted with. That during my travels I am to help quell events that I believe to be wrong. I suppose you could see it as a reason I accepted the offer to join you so easily." He muses in hindsight. "Do you wish me to continue or do you have any questions so far?" He asks as he knew he was talking for awhile.

Caldera smiled, happy that the Zantine bonds were still strong and all sections of the Empire could work to resolve this situation. So she nodded, "You are quite welcome. My father intends to bring the Zantine Empire back into prominence, and that can't be done if we simply leave our northern kin to a bad fate. Now, we must get to work quickly. The feast I will focus on, but first I need some recommendations of which cardinals to invite. Aarushi is of course not included, need to keep her away so she can't obscure any investigations. This is a way to see if we can get some early warnings, or even perhaps save some of them from getting corrupted. In addition to that, if you have any ideas of your own, they'd be appreciated."

Leonious was happy Menaal came with him, and he responded to her in the vehicle as they moved towards the palace, "Well, pretty sure there's tea, water, simple soda, and wine. Could have any of that, though of course probably shouldn't drink too much wine if you want that. Wouldn't be too good to get tipsy before going back to work in your delicate job!" He was smiling the whole time, and the vehicle was rather quick. Here, one could see that the Zantine Palace was being fully restored. Not much had to be done, thanks to the preservation efforts of the Equusalemites, and so most of it was simply updating iconography and fixing things to fit the modern Lasacris family, as well as bits of dusting and upgrades to the security. Leonious walked on up to the palace gates, which were opened from the inside to allow the Prince and their visitor entry. However, the Rangian Vanguard were a cautious sort when it came to allowing people inside places they were fortifying, and so decided to do some quick checks. Scanners subtly searched Menaal for any anomalies or things like bombs, while a Psionics expert of the Vanguard did their own scan of Menaal for any dangers of a psionic sort, and gauging her potential to be dangerous with magic.

Yoniria was uplifted by that, since ultimately that is what she wanted out of this if the War Master had to fall. She agreed with the two sisters on what they would be best be suited for, but she of course wasn't the one assigning the missions, that was up to the Union Intelligence mission commanders at the base to decide. Until Artrad came into the lounge, and handed Yoniria a dataslate. He spoke simply in explanation, "Situation has changed. Update to our mission and destination has been delivered." He then walked off, and if one was watching closely they'd see that the shuttle had changed direction from its initial trajectory.

In some confusion, Yoniria read the update given to her, and seemed surprised. She then looked to the two sisters to explain, "Well, one thing has changed. We're headed to a new rendezvous, due to a pressing development. Remember how I mentioned the Shadow Branch operatives were gathering at a location we were able to identify? Well, Union Intelligence has found that both Petros and Azulraitras are actually en route to the same location, and they're trying to keep it a secret too. Good thing our intelligence agents were watching. They're gathering for some odd reason, which means Omnipo may be preparing their own move. That can't be allowed, so a few different strike team members will quickly meet up with us, and then we'll set out instantly for a base apparently located in the Mentos Asteroid Belt. This is concerning, but I suppose that's why this fast strike teams are being prepared in the first place."

Rezenary considered that comment on Nulka, and supposed that she would react similarly if somebody spoke poorly of her ancestors or perhaps High Lord Sethus. So she could hardly fault the Watrike for doing just that, perhaps even less so considering that they were built for that sort of behavior. Regardless, her thought process was interrupted when Viintaasvrii looped his tail around her, and she got flustered from being pulled closer, and the following tease just made it worse on her. Didn't help it brought back flashes of her seeing him before with the towel.

Thankfully, Anubite curiosity saved her from going too far down that thought process and leading to further embarrassment, as her mind locked onto the things she was being told, and she was very interested clearly by this bit. The description of this "Dovah" civilization interested her, and she had to consider the fact that they had theological roots perhaps being the influence for Equidae being rather theocratic themselves. His tales about this Matriarch of their kind were also of interest. She didn't voice it, but she did find that this Akuin being a Goddess very silly from her Anubite perspective, at most a Mirin or the Dovah rationalization of other godly things like the Mother's influence, but Akuin was fascinating all the same. She could probably write quite a bit about just her and all the various practices that seemed to surround her in the Dovah culture. She was giddy just thinking about all the potential papers and dataslates that could be filled up, and this was visible on the outside by Viintaasvrii as he explained more about his goddess. She nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, a few questions. So did you actually speak to this Akuin in a direct manner, or was there some sort of method by which you commune with them? Second, if that is your duty as a paladin, why not cooperate more directly with mortal forces? Do things like Tyfrondor for instance. And, on that, if you have made such attempts in the past, what were the results?" She withheld her additional question about more in-depth physical interaction with non-Dragons, as she was sure that could wait for later after she got her more important notes.

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

Eusebios recommended either the Yellow, White, and/or Pink Cardinal for they are the weakest in terms of administration power which meant that it's unlikely that Aarushi would put much thought into them. Orange is in control of Intelligence and Blue has control over the military so they are surely corrupted somehow.

The Psionics expert would detect something odd within Menaal. Connecting to her optical nerves and flowing back into her cerebral lobe was a psionic filament. The energy signature was foreign to her body as if it were some kind of virus. Given how she has healthy physical health it's possible she does not even notice it. The More filaments could be seen  threaded across her other lobes. They seem to be very delicate so it would not be a difficult thing to dispel it if they wish.

The news was certainly concerning to the sisters. for powerful individuals to come together is not often a good sign. "Whatever happens we're ready to move out." Caelistianya exclaimed.

The sight of the flustered Rezenary was appealing to watch. The sound of her beating heart audible to his sensitive hearing. Her eyes trying to look elsewhere as if to distract herself. What could she be thinking about? Perhaps back then? That gave him all the more motivation to tease the young pup. But by no means that's to say he will be domineering about it. No, brief thrills of conquest has no merit to him and frankly he despises it. What he adores is prolonged affection. To watch his partner crumple beneath his palms in a puddle of warm bliss. He finds his partner rather adorable in that state. Thus he'll only advanced tenderly and not push if his partner does not wish it. After all there are a plethora of other ways to tease someone senseless. For now he gently tighten his tail on her waist to ensure she is sitting right him. Close enough that perhaps she'll become more aware of her leg rubs against his own. Feeling his powerful thigh muscles. Such closeness provide other benefits. Like how their faces were much closer now as they talk to each other. She could see the brightness in his sapphire eyes. Possibly wonder just how much have those eyes seen.

"Our communion quiet down after the Third Kalpa when she led the Great Migration to other stars. Entrusting their former region of space to the Equidae who have proven themselves in the Age of Strife that hey deserve the right to be a civilization among the stars. Up to that period I was still a vagabond. Akuin called be back to help fight the forces of darkness that plague the systems. Afterwards we took separate paths once more. She deemed that the universe still require my selfless support. Every now and then I can still hear her voice in the bottom of my heart. or a rare vision during my mediation periods." To his shame there is a forbidden thought that dared to entertain the idea that perhaps he was simply insane and hallucinated Akuin during these times. It goes to show how Loneliness can be regarded as an aspect of death. The next question was a bit personal but pet to his honest nature he will not hide from it. After all it's written in one of the Oath tenets. Memory. Ageless and unending, dragons seek not fame nor fortune for their good deeds. So make the memory of you faint in the minds of those you aid, and keep your own memories of such joyous acts fresh and pure. And he has many acts of joy to speak about. "To recite all my tales to you, we would need a library worth of blank books to write them in. Perhaps more than the Aluxandri Great Archives." The boast was no display of arrogance. He has lived through so much that not even he knows where to begin. Let along consider that his greatest glories were.

"My interaction with non-dragons can be described as how the Three Black Dragons done it. Instead of staying in one place for very long I traveled across galaxies worth of wonders, civilizations, wars, mysteries, and so much more. I helped build nations, prevent catastrophic events, partook in wars which I had no obligation to be in. If I had stayed in one spot, none of these things would have ever come to pass." He gave a sigh as he thought about the three dragons. Unintentionally blowing his hot breath across Rezenary exposed neck. "It still sadden me to see those three dragons lose sight of the beauty of light. Instead of the journey all they can see is the destination. That nothing has worth because in trillions of years the universe will die of heat death and photonic decay." Despite his chilling words he still held warmth in his eyes. Having long come to accept that he will outlast many things. "The results are similar to how the black dragons would describe it. I witness heroes that shape their worlds be forgotten in time, entire nations falling into obscurity, and wars that seem to have no end. Yes, this does stings. Despite that I think no, I know it was all worth it in the end." She could see the earnestly in his eyes. Truly at peace with his life choices. "Now have I done things like Tyfrondor? That I have, I left behind many legacies across the cosmos. Some of which are still active to this day. I visit them whenever I do my Bod do Lokaal period."

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

Caldera considered it, and then she decided on a course of action she felt would do the best with what they had. She decided they would invite the White, Pink, and Orange Cardinals to the friendship feast. White and Pink in order to investigate them, and perhaps safeguard them if they were clean, but Orange was to be invited for another reason. Being in control of intelligence, she was almost certainly corrupted but also likely essential to Aarushi's plans, which meant if she was drawn away into the Empire for an extended period of time they could cause a major issue for the corrupted plans. The guise for this would of course be that the Zantine Empire didn't interact with the Orange Cardinal much, and they would want to finally connect with this cardinal they didn't speak to much. Caldera could then of course arrange a variety of incidents and delays to keep the Orange Cardinal occupied on Instabull, and hopefully stall the collapse for a great period of time. Given Instabull's size, it wouldn't be hard to keep her away from the other two, and the security of the planet would make it hard for the Orange Cardinal to act or get away without notice. In the meanwhile, Eusebios could use his own connections in Equusalem to try and investigate the Blue Cardinal, as well as perhaps the Yellow Cardinal since she was here on Spursepolis.

Detecting this was alarming to the Psionics expert, and so that would certainly have to be dispelled. The Psionics expert waved a couple of the standard Rangian Vanguard forward, and then got to work dispelling it. Leonious was surprised to see the guards walk forward and block their path, but once the Psionics Expert was finished dispelling all the psionics filaments, they came forward to explain. The expert was an elder male Taurus, who spoke calmly towards Menaal, "I'm afraid I have some questions for you, madam Cardinal. For security purposes. I just dispelled a strange psionic filament connecting to your cerebral, as well as other, lobes. It seems to have been placed their by another force. So I must ask what those were and if you knew about their presence? And, if you may perhaps know, who put them there?" Prince Leonious was surprised, but he was trusting of his Rangian Vanguard protectors, and so was not inclined to disbelieve the Taurus. So he looked to Menaal in confusion.

Yoniria smiled and nodded, pleased to see that they were still ready despite the change in pace. However, with the change in direction, the trip got a lot shorter. The shuttle began to slow down as it started to reach its destination, and through the windows the Sisters could see for themselves what they were approaching. It was a frigate-sized freighter, by the looks of it, but that was of course a disguise which become clear as the shuttle landed in the hanger. The illusion of it being a mere cargo freighter broke upon entry, revealing instead a sophisticated hanger bay with a few other shuttles just like the one the Sisters were in for themselves. The crew were Union Intelligence operatives, consisting of many Iammelonian species, but prominently Boethans. As the shuttle landed and opened up, Yoniria would lead the two sisters out.

There was a small gathering of some notable individuals directly outside the shuttle landing area. There was most noticeably a Dragon in full Combat Drake Armor towering above the smaller creatures, but there was also an albino-furred female Anubite in regal gown and a male human in rather technical gear. Leading the proceedings was a Watrike Psi-Operative, who nodded when he noticed the arrival of the Paresusl Sisters. He waved them and Yoniria over, since she was going with them. The rest of her team stayed on the shuttle. Once they were there, the operative nodded again, and then began to speak, "Good, we are gathered. The greetings were supposed to be done with time to let all of you learn about eachother, and they were supposed to be conducted by Minister Zirona. However, time is of the essence, and so this one shall do the debriefing. I am Director Tulgrin, and allow me to introduce everyone around the room, so as to be quick and effective." He first pointed to the albino Anubite, "This is Second Princess Chione Rwim, of the Anubite Empire. An experienced Spirit Mystic with the training of her elder brother, the Highlord, she will assist greatly when it comes to matters of spirits, which are relevant for this mission." Chione smiled and did a little graceful bow, but of course Tulgrin moved on before she could speak, now pointing at the Dragon, "Azdergin Rulcar, old Dragon Warrior coming out of retirement. His age, experience, and power have been granted to us to deal with the issue of the enemy's old, experienced, and powerful Dragoness." The Dragon nodded his head, throwing up a proud smirk at how he was described. The Watrike then pointed to the human, "Matros Uldua, former member of OMNI Special Operations before escaping after a failed attempt to drain Monrio's bank account for his own. His insider knowledge of Omnipo's security systems and skill in data collection have earned him a chance for redemption for his crimes in the Union." Matros crossed his arms, a bit annoyed Tulgrim didn't give him as favorable description as the others, but didn't vocally speak up. Finally, Tulgrim turned and pointed to the Paresusl Sisters, "And finally, our latest arrivals, the Lomli Paresusl Sisters Caelistianya and Ilunaelistianya, from Equusalem. They'll provide the additional surge of power we need, given Caelistianya's combat experience and strength, and Ilunaelistianya should be able to make use of any of the information Matros gathers, and evaluate it in truth worthy fashion. Now then, since you've all been told your targets prior and that they are gathering, this is a chance for any last minute questions or concerns before the mission begins."

If the Dragon was aiming to make Rezenary get flustered again, he would find that he was absolutely successful in this regard. Being pulled so close in to the Dragon was already quite something, but rubbing legs and getting right up close was a bit overwhelming. So while the Anubite was looking into Viintaasvrii's eyes, he could see in hers a swirl of emotions. Panic, excitement, and sheer embarrassment primarily. The fact he was being so casual just upped it. It was a practical wonder she didn't burst. But, with all her Anubite discipline to assist her, Rezenary held herself together, somewhat. She just had to focus on what he was saying instead of his body, as difficult as that was for the young lass.

Attempting to respond, Rezenary steeled herself and spoke back to keep speaking, "Ahh, ehm, well it's nice that you still commune then, even if it is rare. As for t-that boast, um, that's quite the statement! Maybe I'll have to take you there sometime once this whole war thing is done, and see if you can follow through on that..." The hot air on her neck flustered her again, but she threw all her will into rebounding and getting more stable, "So! You still visit? That's nice. Maybe sometime we can send an archivist with you to record all that! Get it in writing and make the archives bigger than your head. Nice that you've held yourself together for so long however, that's difficult for a lot of people, and Dragons from what I know in particular. Hard to remained satisfied with your life choices. Got a few other questions, like what you actually think of Tyfrondor? I know you've never met him, but I'm interested in how you feel about him besides the whole seeing traces of bad history. Second, do you stay in contact with more of your kind? Equidae Dragons, I mean, not Heordals. And finally, bit more awkward but needs to be asked... Did you ever have kids?" She got flustered again after that question, since while she felt it needed to be asked she still felt it played too much into the teasing.

The pair was certinally a strong team. Quickly devising a plan that would seek to undermine Aarushi control. Eusebios was in general agreement with what was put together so far. But as the old saying goes. No plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first contact with the enemy. Their plan will also soon find itself hitting the first unknown variable that is life.

By the time the Psionics expert notice it they were to late. Like a knife slicing through the strings of a puppet they would watch as life goes out in Menaal once shining blue eyes. Her body crumble under her own weight. Falling onto her knees as as the world watches. When her body fully feel against the floor silence hang in the air. One of the most powerful individuals in the Equusalem government was now collapsed within the palace entryway. Both the medical and psionic personnel would both receive the same information if they scan her. Menaal was comatose. And her life signs were falling.

The celestial sisters both gave a polite nod when they were both addressed. Both can feel that this was quite a gathering of remarkable people that perhaps together they can become something more. See if they could work together when others needed them to fight the battles they never could. Inside they can admit that this was a exciting event despite the seriousness of it. While by no means it was not fun to lay low, it was a good to finally being involved on a wider scale once more. Neither had any last minute concerns for they know that every minute counts.

By Akuin azure womb surely Rezenary can't get any more adorable than this. Seeing her frame shiver with fluster and her warm eyes dilating was something he relish to see. "Mmm as I said, I'll only make my concise opinion when I meet Tyfrondor." He muse as he now became much more focus in teasing the young Anubite. His eyes now locking with her own with sensual emotions. "Mmm have not seen a Dov in such a long time." He drawled as he lean his head closer to Rezenary. The final question certinally seem to grab his attention. Raising his brow in a whimsical manner as he tilts his head. "My my, such crass." His voice gave a deep rumble as he raised a hand to the tip of her chin and rose her head so that they held steady eye contact. "You know funny thing, that reminds me of something over at Aldumary Youth Magic School. Disguised as a student a Anubite scholar manage to sneak into Grinon lecture hall and with no shame or tact. Asked how many children he had in his lifetime. Tsk tsk tsk. To say the least she was promptly kicked out of class. In the process I overheard chattering from the nearby students. Of how Anubite Scholars have tried again and again to learn the sex lives of the Three Black Dragons. How distasteful but you see I had wondered."

Viintaasvrii gave a sultry smile as he leaned forward so that his mouth was next to Rezenary ear. Said Anubite could feel the rhythmic pattern of his breath on her neck. "If from birth, Anubites are conditioned to hide the primitive truth. Using words such as 'Duty' and 'Preservation of Knowledge' to hide one simple fact." Rezenary could feel his mouth grazing her ear. "That Anubites are perverse. Much like how you could not keep your eyes off of me when we came in." A low, husky growl reverberate through Rezenary body. The air between their forms became tense and hot. She could feel the strong beats of Viintaasvrii heart from his broad chest. Time seem to slow to a crawl around them. But before Rezenary could grasp for any form of sanity she would feel the heat replace with a cold vacuum as Viintaasvrii abruptly stood up. "Such a shame really." His tone now full on teasing as he went over to sit on the bar stool. His back now facing the Anubite. "It would take such a daring Scholar to be able to acquire such knowledge no? To get their hands on information never before recorded in all of Anubite history would truly be an crowning achievement of a lifetime. But alas it would take someone bold to do that." He then looks over his shoulder. Shooting a rather sultry smile towards Rezenary. "Do you know of any such Anubite Rezenary?" He spoke in a teasing manner.

Caldera was glad they could be confident in working together, but then received a message to understand the hiccup in the planning. She sighed, shaking her head, before turning to Eusebios to explain, "Time to ramp up the speed of the plan. My brother may have accidentally learned too much too quickly. Invited the Yellow Cardinal over to the palace on the planet we're using, and one of the psionics experts in the guard apparently detected a psionic virus in her mind. In dispelling it, we now have one unconscious Yellow Cardinal in our palace. That was almost certainly Aarushi's influence, and she likely knows it was cut. However, given that this was an accident, we can use that to our advantage in delaying her plans if we act quickly enough. Send out the invites to the White, Pink, and Orange Cardinals now, no delaying. Once they're on Zantine shuttles for Instabull, we can then frame this as a incident requiring investigation. It is the job of the White Cardinal to handle foreign treaties, and so diplomacy falls to them if the Yellow Cardinal is out of the picture. As such, we can practically keep them on Instabull as the Zantine Empire attempts 'reconciliation efforts' and of course fully agrees to assist in investigating what could have possibly happened, and so that means working with the Orange Cardinal by logic, who can of course 'assist' Zantine intelligence operatives in discovering the root. I'll have them purposefully allow themselves to be misled, letting the Orange Cardinal see them come to their false conclusions about the cause, and through this we can fool Aarushi into believing her schemes are safe, and not even suspected at all, while forcing her to perhaps stall to keep things under wraps for the time being. But we must move quickly. Get to work now, and send out those invitations on my behalf, and tell them to use the shuttle I used to get here in the first place as the luxury flight to Instabull. I need to instruct the guards on what to do." Caldera was thinking quickly now on each part of the new plan. Her father would have to be updated, but she could do that in person, safely. Right now, it was a matter of reacting to life's burdens.

Surprise racked everyone present, but Rangian training threw into gear instantly. The Psionics expert doubled as a medic, using their abilities to keep people stable, and so this was right up his alley. Leonious, while shocked, to his credit also wasn't inactive. He snapped out of it practically instantly, and assisted the Vanguard in moving Menaal to the Imperial Palace's medbays. It was thankful these structures were quite multi-functional, prepared for anything the Imperial Family may encounter. They were ready for sieges, natural disasters, and of course injuries and illness. Menaal would be quickly placed under intensive care, with both technological and magical medical techniques being used to keep her alive. And, once they were sure she was stable, try to see what they could do about the coma. Leonious stayed in the medbay, feeling responsible, and keeping an eye on the Cardinal. Of course, thankfully the palace was good at keeping secrets, and they got her inside hopefully before anybody saw. Still, it was troublesome, and they were preparing for when people noticed that the Yellow Cardinal was missing. To get a leg up on that, they'd covertly call up some of the nearby hospitals to get some Equidae doctors in, so they could help out.

Director Tulgrim looked around, and for the most part it seemed everyone else had similar stances to the sisters on this. The Dragon seemed excited to get back in the field, and the Anubite Princess was of course a bit giddy about doing actual field work, especially given the target and their historical significance. But then, Matros finally spoke up, raising a hand though he spoke before being called all the same, "Actually, I do have some concerns. Are we going in as just us? And if so, how are we getting in there? The big lizard takes up a lot of space you know, he's a big one." Fortunately the Dragon had the disciple not to crush the human for subtly calling him fat, but the question remained, and the Watrike answered, "Simple, we use that shuttle. The one the 'big lizard', as you called our Draconic Warrior, used to get here. That shuttle is large enough and is equipped with all the tools needed for the mission. A cloaking device, high grade scanners, listening devices, and more. So get in!" He waved for them to get moving.

The shuttle in question was one also in the hanger. Noticeably larger than the one the mythic sisters had used to get here, it was certainly designed to carry a Dragon. It had room for two of them, in fact. Regardless, everyone got in, though Matros notably waited until Azdergin got in first so as to avoid turning his back on the warrior drake. Princess Chione meanwhile simply giggled as she got in and took a seat in the lounging area. Yoniria actually went inside as well, gesturing for the sisters to follow her in for this second shuttle ride, although this time with more notable people on board.

With the teasing now going into full throttle, there truly was no escape for Rezenary now. She certainly would've regretted asking that last question if she had the time to feel regret, instead of the overwhelming fluster she felt as she got called out by the Dragon. What made it worse was that he wasn't wrong, at least when it came to her, as she had been checking him out the whole time, for one reason or another. So the truth stung, made worse by the fact Vii was using such tactics to further lessen her ability to rationalize things. By the time the Dragon was done, Rezenary was practically curled up in embarrassment, "Ah, uhm... Oh... I m-mean, it's n-not, ah!" With that cry of anguish she leaped up from the lounge coach and nodded her head, somewhat in shame but also just from being overwhelmed by the fluster, "It's true, I want that knowledge! I'm not bold but I do want it!"

The prince grimace at the revelation. Goes to show that things are never easy when it comes to political warfare. “One flaw to this is that neither of those three are present on Spursepolis. The major Cardinals tend to be spread out across Equusalem and communicate via holo most of the time. I’ll send out the invitations post haste but we need to cause a diversion to distract both the public and Aarushi attention for the time being. There’s a contingency protocol in place that will give the Zantines time to breath.” It was an extreme contingency yet it was needed for this scenario. Desperate times call for desperate measures. With the plan set they would possibly take their separate ways. Eusebios strode into the palace and went to make various calls. A sense of foreboding overtook him. Knowing that Equusalem will most likely become a wild place soon enough.

[End of the RP. Conclusion: Aarushi plot revealed to the Zantines. Beginning of the countermeasures to bring down Aarushi.]

Thanks to the quick effort of the staff they were able to tend to the now comatose Cardinal in time to stabilize her. They would manage to sneak in a few doctors who helped do numerous tests on Menaal to determine what had happened. So far they could say that the virus like energy was serving as an emitter to transmit sensory data over a large distance. The rest seem to have been holding her neurons together which showed signs of surgery in some matter. Because the reason she fell into a coma is that her neural pathway is disconnected in many places. A miracle she did not suffer a complete organ failure on the spot. Further examination they would discover she bares many skin grafts that cover signs of extensive torture. In her bloodstream they could find faint residue of some form of blood magic. Meanwhile in a few hours if any television was on any programming would be interrupted by breaking news. Hagia Ecus pop up on screen engulfed in a blazing inferno. The arsonists are believed to be Equidae fanatics of a sun cult. Many local figures such as Prince Eusebois have already come on live denouncing the terrorists. The Yellow Cardinal is believed to be in the building at the time of the attack and if that were the case would take days to find her under all the rubble. More to even identify the body from the others. One thing is for sure, the Zantines have more breathing room.

The sisters went with the group as they boarded the shuttle. Both having varying thoughts on the mission ahead. Caelistianya refresh her memory on the Sol Invictus ritual so that when they get there she can set it up quickly depending on the condition of the place they are sailing to. Her sister is also mentally refreshing herself on many spells and rituals that she learned over the long roll of years. In the meantime they also head into the lounge area.

“My, have I made you that bothered?” He sweetly tease Rezenary as he turned on his seat. The panel next to the lounge door beeped that meant that they were now locked. The lights in the room dim to give the setting a more sensual lighting. “Hey now, there’s no reason to feel ashamed.” In a fluid motion he got up from the chair and in a stride came up to the small Anubite. His upper robe fell from his back. Revealing his bare upper body all for Rezenary once innocent eyes to see. Placing a hand on her lower back and another on her cheek he look deeply into Rezenary wide eyes. “This is a normal reaction. You dirty Anubite repress your desires for so long that even the act of acknowledging them feels wrong. But don’t fret, the knowledge you seek shall enlighten you.” He spoke tenderly as his tail loop around Rezenary legs. Lifting them he gently lower the Anubite on the table behind her. “Pay close attention Rezenary. Here’s my first fact. I regard myself as an expert masseur. I know the acupressure points of over a hundred different species. Observe.” Laying Rezenary on her back he retreated his hand on her back to move them over her lower torso. “Fascinating enough, many species share the same locations.” Two in particular were two finger spaces down from the belly button and above the crotch where the hip hinges and meets the body.

“Belly points can be very tender and since they’re located closer to our reproductive organs and the parts we use in sex, massaging these points should be done with a bit of caution and extra care. Since it’s also located on the most calming point of all acupuncture channels, it makes a wonderfully balanced point. The latter point is right near a main artery, which helps to increase blood flow in the body.” It would now be clear to Rezenary that while his eyes show a primal desire. He was still treating her with respect and not rushing her. As well as being truthful when he said he was going to teach her actual knowledge. Despite Rezenary still being clothed his fingers seem to easily find those points and massage them with apparent skill. At this point he was bending over the Anubite. He leaned his head down so that his maw was next to her ear. “I won’t ever hurt you. So I need your consent. Consent for me to open your eyes to a world of pleasure. Consent to make you writhe in ecstasy. Consent to ruin you for any other person.” His breath was very hot on her neck but not enough to be uncomfortable. He inch forward to graze his lips across her sweating neck. “I must warn you. Like some ancient knowledge, you might not be the same after learning them.” He sweetly whisper into her neck.

The doctors that were snuck in were of course kept here to constantly look over Menaal and her condition, by Prince Leonious's orders. She was to treated as best they could, with the Rangian Psionics Experts moving in to do their best to try and delicately recreate the filaments themselves, so they could try and keep her brain from suffering permanent damage. And so, they got to work seeing if they could replicate that, while the doctors would be made to use all the equipment of the medbay to try and create the Cardinal's conditions. As for the fire, Leonious was surprised but he couldn't deny that it was rather good timing. Caldera of course knew what had happened, but she didn't let Leonious in on it, instead focusing on arranging the countermeasures outside the palace. All in all, the secrecy would be used to good effect.

The sisters in the lounge could feel the ship take off once everyone was aboard, with no time being wasted. This would be a short ride, but the members of their new team were not too idle for the trip. Matros actually spoke up while lounging on a coach, his inquisitive voice bringing up a number of concerns he didn't put in front of director, "So, what do you guys think the targets are gathering for? I was only supposed to go after that secret branch, try and figure out what they were all about. I tried it before while I was in Omnipo, and I almost got bloody assassinated! They killed my partner who was helping me with that, and thankfully I pinned it all on him. Still, means it's probably rather serious. And for both the other targets to join up with that... I don't like it. At all. Plus, what if Union Intelligence already knows why they're gathering, and just aren't telling us in case we get cold feet? What if one of us dies?"

The Anubite sitting next to him slapped him across the back of the head, shaking her head in disapproval. Chione stood up to speak, her voice much more calm and elegant, a testament to her role as a Princess. Second Princess, but royal all the same, "Do not be so paranoid, Matros. The Union aren't composed of fools. We are all important individuals in our own right. If they knew the danger was enough that we may die, they wouldn't waste our potential so flippantly. I'm sure they are confident we can accomplish this mission. They were going to split us up to handle the three simultaneously anyways, so all together I'm sure we can handle our targets even if they are grouped up. We have the fighters to match, and more. As for why they are gathering, well, I think that's our mission to find out. As long as we are all prepared in mind and spirit, the enemy will be crushed! Hehe, I've always wanted to say that!" Chione was pleased with herself, and sat back down, enthusiasm radiating from her. Matros didn't seem as convinced, but he stopped complaining.

After those two had finished, the other member of the team, Azdergin Rulcar, looked to the mythical sisters, clearly using this time to evaluate them. He spoke up, though in draconic style he spoke with telepathy rather than directly. His voice was deep, old, yet composed as befitting a veteran of many conflicts, "What is the feeling of you two? Do you share the Second Princess's optimism, or do you believe we should be prepared for the worst like the annoying human? I am most curious as to how you think, given that you are both quite experienced. I've not been in space very long in comparison, only the last couple hundred years. Hm, on that actually, allow me to ask what your general rundown of the targets is? I know the Dragoness personally, so I can handle her, but I haven't much experience with Omnipo's secretive sides or Zantines."

Rezenary was, to put it rather mildly, rather overwhelmed by Vii's actions. She was already feeling weak in the knees when he removed the robe, so it was of no trouble to move her even with just the tail, and she wasn't resisting either. Her subconscious Anubite mind was listening to his words, and had to admit his knowledge was rather impressive when it came to the anatomy of other races and how they could be massaged, and was interested. But that was the subconscious. The actual conscious mind and body registered little of the knowledge, too caught up in the feelings coursing through to care, rather big for an Anbuite. She was even panting a little, something that normally would've incurred shame if she was in the right sense of mind to care. So by the time he asked, his warning held little bearing, as the answer was already clear. Rezenary's head nodded before falling back again, and she fell back on yelling out, "I consent! I don't care if I'm not the same after, I just need to know! Show me!" That was about all she could muster, but it was likely what Vii was waiting to hear.

It's hard to recreate whatever they had saw. One thing for sure the design was certinally old and dark. Unlike anything recorded in Equidae history. It would take a decent amount of time to get progress on producing similar results.

Caelistianya was the first to reply as she sat on a counter stool. "If you don’t prepare, you could lose everything. If you prepare for the worst and nothing happens, you’ve lost nothing." She spoke in agreement. "Truthfully I mostly agreed to this initiative to test myself. During my prime I've fought many on the field of battle. But never have I ever tested my blade against Zantine steel. To cross blades with the supposed Zantine Demi-God would by the culmination of my experiences. As for the Dragoness I have fought your kin on a few occasions. Truly worthy opponents I must add. If you claim you know her however we'll put my trust in you. Lastly I can't say much about Omnipo espionage. That would be my sister expertise." Handing the metaphorical torch her sister continue the conversation. "My field of expertise reside in Mind Magic. Whether that may be inducing hypnagogia in the person subconscious, sending subliminal messages, or even enter the subconscious of others. At the height of my powers I could simply look at a city and see their collective subconsciousness as whole. Nowadays however my limit is not as high anymore given I had no reason to use such magic for a long time. Despite that it will serve us well in rooting out the Omnipo agent."

A rush of excitement overcame the drake at hearing those golden words. So much so that his scales gave off a brief, soft blue glow. His pupils became more serpentine as dark pleasure rose in his chest. "Aah you should be honored." The words came out in a deep growl. "You're now my one millionth lover." Despite such touching words in a normal situation it was loaded with primal desire. The desire to drench this quivering anubite beneath him in pleasure. Meanwhile in another part of the shuttle mainly the cockpit. Nulka the Wartrike was confused why she was thinking about giving the janitor a raise after they land.

~They say never to corner a Dragon, for a cornered Dragon is the most deadliest~
~Fade to Black~

In space, time is relative. As such time really has no meaning to Rezenary. That is to say if she still had the cognitive ability to formulate thoughts. By Akuin knows how many hours have passed since the young Anubite has given in to the ancient dragon who posses knowledge lifetimes beyond her once virgin brain. She was bare as the day she was born, her uniform long strewn around the lounge. Said lounge was in such a state that it would take a good few hours to even sanitize it all. The table where it all began was slathered with bodily fluids. The couch equally so. Even the bar counter was not spared of the lewd actions that took place here. Back to the couch is where the pair are currently seated.

Well Viintaasvrii is the one properly seating. Rezenary is laying on her back against his chest as he use his tail to heave her up before letting her weight drop. Sending a ripple of convulsion through her already drench body as he repeats the process again and again. His hands tenderly playing with her breasts. "Fact number 72. It's a myth that you can cause breasts to grow by massaging them." He happily spoke in a teasing manner. Nuzzling Rezenary face with his own he would finally acknowledge that his partner was completely catatonic. Her tongue lolling out of her mouth and her eyes have been rolled up from the ruthless waves of pleasure. It does not help that her body was still covered in dragon saliva. A substance now known to her is a better alternative to heating gel. Even inside her body she can still feel the warmth of the sweet dragon nectar. In her womb, throat, and all in her intestines. Not known to her previously all dragons have a higher body temperature than many species. Meaning their bodily fluids were much warmer than she would ever have expected. To Rezenary the entire universe was an all encompassing blanket of wet warmth. Her brain was overstimulated with so much endorphins that not even Viin knew of how much pleasure she was feeling.

“Mmm we might be coming to our destination soon. We should clean you up.” Just by the act of Viin standing up while holding Rezenary close cause her to squeal in ecstasy as another orgasm shook her body. “Hang in there my love. The showers is not that far away.” If Rezenary were still sane she would’ve thought it was a hundred miles away. Considering he still held on to her with his tail.

Having made it to the showers undetected and having some more fun times in the stall. Viintaasvrii finally gently laid the now dry Rezenary on a laid out towel. Her eyes still in a daze. Still feeling the pleasant warmth in her. Kneeling beside her was Viintaasvrii who reached over to a stack of dry clothes that have been stored in the bathroom for emergencies. Manhandling her somewhat he manage to get her dressed up. “There we are, I hope you had a pleasant time Rezenary.” Viintaasvrii sweetly said as he gave a chaste kiss on her cheek.

The design was difficult, but the Psionic Experts knew they didn't have to perfectly replicate it. For instance, they had no need to include the same sort of data transmission feature, even if one floated the idea out there, and so that could be taken off the table. Second, they wouldn't need to include any sort of outside control mechanisms, which were likely some of the most complicated bits, and so they could ignore these. Still, they had time, and they would keep up their work. Leonious kept close the whole time, helping out where he could but ultimately just keeping an eye on Menaal's condition. He still felt responsible, and was very curious as to what had happened, which meant talking to the Yellow Cardinal again when she woke up. Caldera's efforts remained on the other work, as well as keeping up the delays.

Matros grinned and pointed at Caelistianya in victory, "I like this one! Got the right idea up in that ancient noggin!" He pointed to his forehead for emphasis before continuing on, "It's smart to always be ready, prepare for the worst. You rarely lose out from thinking up the worst situations and being ready for them, and it's always good to constantly throw out questions! Answers come, but good to be ready ahead of time!" Chione rolled her eyes and sat back down. She didn't oppose the point again, but it was clear she didn't like too much worrying.

Meanwhile, Azdergin smiled and nodded his head, liking the answer from the two sisters, "It is very good to constantly test yourself! Growing complacent is quite foolish. That is in truth why I came out of retirement, to keep myself from losing my edge and becoming worthless in due time. I shall leave the Zantine to you, though I will assist if so required. But the Dragoness shall be my aim. That one really requires some humbling, and I'd be happy to do it myself." He then turned to her sister, nodding again, "One of the most important parts of engaging an enemy is identifying them. So those powers will be quite the boon. Not to mention these foes apparently deal in mindgames, so it shall be interesting to watch how they react to these tactics being used on them instead. Still a question of why they are together, but we will figure out directly, I think. It shall be interesting hearing them explain themselves. Well, except for the Zantine, I suspect he won't come with us intact. Such an individual I am sure does not consider surrender an option, and so we will likely need to take him out." In the background, Yoniria sadly nodded, confirming those words. She knew the stories of Petros, and he was not a person who surrendered. The amount of times he had retreated in his long career could be counted on one hand's fingers, and he was legendary for his ability to turn situations that would require surrender of any lesser man into victory. It was the same reason he had to be defeated by the Anubites in such a fashion they did, so as to avoid facing that will directly. The Dragon was correct in her mind, surrender was very much unlikely.

Rezenary, after that experience, could easily have been said to have obtained a new perspective on life from the sheer emotions and pleasure she had received. One could almost swear her barely opened eyes had heart-shaped pupils, though that was surely a trick of the mind to get across what was seen. She wasn't very mobile in her practically comatose state, absolutely exhausted to the point where she couldn't move or even respond. But it was easy for Viintaasvrii to tell his hopes were well founded by her big dumb smile and tiny attempt at a nod, before her eyes closed as she laid down to rest, and recover her long lost stamina. A job well done for the Dragon.

While he had been busy, the shuttle had come in to land at a base on a moon orbiting an unassuming farming world in northern Union territory. The base was a hidden Union Intelligence center, well concealed until one actually got into the hanger. The occupants in the cockpit exited to see the mess in the lounge. Nikros decided to simply leave without comment, not wanting any part in that. Nulka meanwhile sighed, calling out to Viin, "This is going to take a long time to clean up, I do hope you know. Anyways, leave the girl alone now, time to get to the whole mission thing. You can shag the Anubite again later." With that, she moved to exit the vessel, letting Viin get himself ready in peace. When he finally did, he found himself in a large hanger bay, though it was rather empty despite its size. Indicating that other arrivals were not here yet, their shuttle had actually come a bit early.

Though Viin wouldn't be simply left in peace. Nulka was standing with another female Watrike, this one in more regal garb befitting of an administrator. She looked over Viin, gauging him, and then nodded. She waved him over, and spoke rather calmly, "Nulka told me that you have... gotten along well with her companion. That is good, since you two will be working together. Welcome to the base, I am director Oilania, of Union Intelligence. You're actually here early, ahead of the others meant to be in a team with you. There's two of them. I do suppose you're curious as to what we want you to do? Besides our other agents, I mean."

The staff manage to get a breakthrough in fixing her lobes. Piecing enough together that her body can function without as much machinery. While she is still in a coma her conditions have improved significantly since she collapsed.  On Caldera end she received word that both the Orange and White cardinal are en route to Instabull. The Pink Cardinal however is reportedly missing. There's a on going investigation where officials found a secret basement in her residence that holds a horrific scene. So horrific that Eusebois could not get any detail about it from the reports he snagged. If the reports are to be believed, than the Pink Cardinal is corrupted in some manner.

"I would be surprise if he does surrender after so long." Muses Caelistianya in thought, "When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength. The hallmark of any warrior really."

'My to refer to your friend in such a uncouth manner.' Viintaasvrii thought in amusement as he hears Nulka from the other side of the ship. Having tucked in the exhausted Anubite into bed. Giving Rezenary a deep, passionate kiss. "May your dreams be warm." He spoke tenderly before turning to exit the room. Turning off the lights behind him as he went. New robes of deep blue formed around his frame as he strode down the halls. When he went by the lounge he stop as the musky smell hit him. Peering inside he admits that perhaps he went overboard. It has been so long since he had physical stimulus that he became a bit excited. Feeling guilty with the mess he stopped by nearby computer terminal and made a check to compensate the damage. With his printed out check he went to hand it over to the Snniynna who was understandably perplexed on why he wrote a check. 'We simply dicker around too much' was all Viintaasvrii would elaborate on.

With that cleared up the ancient drake head to exit the shuttle. Stepping out into the hanger Oilania would be able to tell he posses a bit of an afterglow from how just relaxed his posture was or by the strange sheen on his scales. Viintaasvrii took a glance around the empty hanger. Bit surprise that they got here early. He supposes the old saying that time flies when at play has merit to it. It was also interesting that the strike team would be a fireteam. With that size they would have an easier time to maneuver and get to places. But is also puts into question of what scenario requires one fireteam of presumably the strongest individuals in all of Iammelon. While eager to ask about his teammates he wanted time to mull on the specifics of the mission. Business aside he was pleasantly surprised that he would be paired up with Rezenary. “Oh? That’s nice to hear. I look forward to working with Rezenary then, she has the potential to become something great. She has a bright mind and a eager drive to learn.” It’s somewhat hypocritical to look forward to teach someone while he thinks himself as not a teacher. From his perspective he teach those close to him so that he does not have to worry about them as much. To be content knowing that his disciples can handle stuff by themselves.

“I would appreciate a run down of what is expected of me. The firmament is grand. For a war to be waged across the stars is equally so. I can do nothing but imagine where you may send us into the great expanse.” Viintaasvrii ponder as he consider the possibilities.

The improvement was much enjoyed by those working on the Cardinal's conditions, quite pleased to be making some good progress. But they weren't done just yet, so they kept up their work to try and keep piecing her together bit by bit so she could be ready to wake once more. Caldera meanwhile viewed the news as grim, unfortunate that they had lost one cardinal for sure but it would have to be moved on from. At least the Pink Cardinal was not massively important, but it would be a blow. Instead, she simply focused on the two cardinals they did have. Orange and White were going to be split up, and separately investigated. Unlike with the Yellow Cardinal, they'd avoid dispelling anything, and simply focus on trying to see if it was there at all, and depth of potential corruption in the two of them.

Azdergin nodded in agreement, "Indeed. It is respectable, in truth. A shame they are on the other side of the conflict, but at least we can give them an honorable and respectful end. Hm, the ship is slowing, we are arriving... Faster than expected, but we must prepare ourselves." With that, everyone got up and checked their respective gear as a last second inspection. Around them, the ship had engaged its cloaking device as it drew closer to an asteroid belt that held their destination. Among the seemingly normal batch of rocks, one big rock in particular was the goal. It didn't stand out, and by normal sensors it was no different to any of the thousands around it, big or small. But that was not the truth of the matter, as Union Intelligence knew. There was a small hole, big enough for a small freighter at most, that was open on the bottom of the asteroid. That was the only oddity of it, it was always on the bottom, as this asteroid didn't rotate nearly as much as the others, but that was impossible to tell unless you watched it for a prolonged period of time. Regardless, Union Intelligence knew about this entrance, and so the strike team's ship flew under, then guided itself gently upwards, and then down a seemingly natural tunnel.

The naturalness of the base became less and less pronounced the further one went, as rock gave way to reinforced metal plating. Natural shapes for clear and precise construction. The artificial nature of the interior was all too clear once one was deep inside. Nonetheless, there was little time for sightseeing. It was quick that they reached a hanger of some sort, and there was no time to waste making a delicate landing. The doors swung open before the ship even landed, and Azdergin rushed out, charging into a batch of confused and now terrified OMNI Security, who were woefully equipped to handle a Dragon. Chione soon followed to assist the Dragon, and Matros came out last to rush over to a console in the hanger. Looking around, one would see this was a fortified hanger, filled with science vessels, priority transports, and stealth craft. There was one sole door, a blast door big enough for a Dragon, and Matros was keeping it open. Nonetheless, the security here began to react to the intruders, troopers moving to at least delay the invaders, and try to kill Matros so they could close the blast door.

Director Oilania nodded her head in agreement with the Dragon's assessment, "Indeed. Rezenary shows promise, which is why this is the best time to get her to reach her limits and excel. I simply trust that you will keep her safe for the time being. She is trained for combat, but I'm sure you can tell she is nothing of a legendary warrior. Her stamina was clearly less than yours. But onto business." She took on a more serious look now, as was more customary of Watrike, and her voice reflected such, "As I am sure you are aware, the Confederacy is led by Omnipo. While they are a mighty foe in of themselves, they are not alone. Some of the other major players include the Valorian Stellar Matriarchy, the Zantine Empire, and Cyboar. You will be expected to fight the last of those; the Boar. Cyboar is immensely dangerous in a number of ways. In the Psion Wars a millennia past, they were one of few groups who could actually engage an Ancient Psion in battle and stand a chance. In strike teams, of course, similar to what we are doing now, rather than as individuals. We must disrupt the Boar's war effort, and keep them from fully throwing themselves into the war, lest we face major problems. The Boar is clever, and will notice mass gatherings of troops, and prepare for it. That is why in order to disrupt them, we have to act with subtly and precision. But given their strength, we can only entrust this to some of the best we can gather."

The Yellow Cardinal was making more progress. Brain activity shows REM and other signs of improving health. As this went on the investigation in underway on the two other Cardinals. The White Cardinal did not show the same virus but an extensive background search has revealed evidence pointing to another sort of corruption. Contrary to her position she may very well guilty of many financial crimes. Numerous forms of fraud, market manipulation, bribery, money laundering and the production of Counterfeit money and consumer goods. And these are only the major ones. The running theory is that Aarushi had chosen a corrupt Bishop and enabled her. Fanning her envious ambitions to commit greater criminal acts. The Orange Cardinal was discovered to have the virus inside her but also has a sketchy background. Conflicting reports, missing files, and classified pages. Ironic for the Cardinal of Honesty.

Perception is a lie. That is the basis of Ilunaelistianya magecraft on the field of battle. Even conscious thought, judgment and volition are illusions from a scientific standpoint. By knowing this nature she can ensnare others and make them dance to her will like puppets on a string. Hanging at the back of the group like a scepter of death she cause many security personnel to shoot into empty air and even at each other. Some collapse onto their knees, clutching at their heart. Blood profuse pouring from their orifices as they die from fright. With Ilunaelistianya taking care of the rear her sister went to provide cover for Matros. Conjuring a sword of blazing light in her hand as she performs a sweeping motion. Unleashing a horizontal wave of solar wind into the approaching reinforcements coming from beyond the blast door. Resulting their bodies to violently combust in shower of charred gore. Caelistianya stayed near Matros as it's always a wise idea to stay close to one another in a operation like this.

Viintaasvrii smiled in agreement. Already envisioning what he may teach to the young Anubite. While he may not consider himself a proper teacher he had been a mentor to many. She may not be a legendary warrior but if his past record was anything to go by, Rezenary name will be written in the hall of legends. His grin widen somewhat by the subtle joke but kept to the serious nature of this discussion. "I'll remain diligent so ensure that your trust in me is not misplaced. Rezenary safety will be something I take seriously." After all it does not need to be said that for a ancient dragon such as himself, he has lived through his fair share of failing to teach others properly and ending up dead as a result. His grin fade to a relaxed one as he learn of the foe he is too fight. "A preemptive strike against the Boar. A smart move, I trust you know the risks for that." It was more of a statement than a question. He believes in the competency of the Union enough to know they would not make decisions lightly. "Given the nature of surgical strikes we would have to act fast faster than they can react. What sort of targets would we be hitting?" Thinking on it he's considering of getting a weapon from his reliquary. Fighting Cyboar was easier said than done. He had fought a few Ancient Psions in his time, tanky little buggers. If Cyboar were able to fight them on even footing than he needs to fight more seriously than he would with typical soldiers.

So, as Leonious kept an eye on Menaal's improving health, Caldera's agents and allies back on Instabull went to work. The results of the investigation were rather interesting, particularly for the White Cardinal. But overall, they decided this could be utilized. The White Cardinal was formally invited to help the Zantines work on various relief efforts for populations struck by problems for the war, to work with Zantine organizations doing just that, but in secret Caldera's agents would begin to arrange things for her. The White Cardinal was being housed as a guest of honor in a luxury Zantine hotel, which Caldera had already arranged for her agents to have access to. The Cardinal's quarters would start to receive messages personally addressed to her. Secretive messages from unidentified sources apparently reaching out to the White Cardinal for her cooperation in some crimes related to the Zantine share of the market in Equusalem. The messages sent to her would speak of, with her assistance, the chance to expand the wealth of some currently unidentified Zantine nobility looking to get a leg up in Equusalem, offering the White Cardinal bribes and shares of the reaped rewards if she was ever so kind as to be willing to meet them, and give them the help they needed. Included in the message was also of course the subtle threat that if the White Cardinal was to be uncooperative in this "mutually beneficial arrangement" or attempt to leave Instabull before a deal could be made, these nobles would be simply forced to reveal her crimes. This of course was all a setup by Caldera's agents, who monitored the situation. The true purpose of this was to play on the White Cardinal's exposed greed and ambition in order to stall her, give her the seeming chance to get in with some power Zantine nobility, while also including the threat to play on her self-centeredness. Though they were curious as to if the White Cardinal actually would decide to agree to meet with the "undisclosed nobility".

As for the Orange Cardinal, it was not really surprising the Cardinal of Honesty wasn't a true beacon of honesty. Instabull had many such contradictions of virtue, one more was hardly a surprise. But she was important, so the Agents conducted their own plans of how to handle her. Officially, the Orange Cardinal had been invited to help the Zantines with some trouble they were having. Publicly no more details than that were shared. The Orange Cardinal was told in secret that they wished for her assistance in some matters of corruptions in their ranks, and wished for her assistance in rotting them out. This was actually true, and she was being roped into a real and serious anti-corruption investigation. But all the while, she was kept an eye on and investigated for herself. While data miners worked to dig into her hidden past more, direct agents seemingly just working with her on the Anti-Corruption mission investigated more closely. Watching her actions, while Psionics experts among her subtly watched the virus from afar. They were interested in how it worked, but didn't want to tip it off, so were subtle. One idea floating about was trying to "hijack" the virus, and take control of it themselves, and this way perhaps bring the Orange Cardinal over to their side. But this idea was for now just floating as the experts observed the virus in action to gauge just how possible it would be to seize control of it without directly alerting the one it was sending information back to.

The illusion-crafting of  Ilunaelistianya saw success on these guards. They were ultimately simply mortals, far younger in comparison and without nearly as much knowledge of the depths of even their own minds. She sowed chaos in their ranks with relative ease, causing panic among the unaffected who simply had no idea what was going on and wondering what magic was at play here. With that panic spreading, Caelistianya's job got easier. As the sane combusted, and seemingly insane and dying security fell around them, many of the other guards decided sticking around simply wasn't worthwhile, and fled into the depths beyond the blast door. The door moved a bit, but only to reveal that it had been effectively jammed open by the work of Matros. The only way to close it would be directly, and of course the only ones who could do that would have to be Dragons. The battle had been won for now, with this brief moment of peace. Looking around at the scene of the battle, Matros threw Caelistianya a thumbs up, "Well, thank you for the protection! We can move on now. I was able to connect to a few other systems that shared links to the blast door, which included the other doors in the facility. All of them should be stuck open now, so nothing should get in our way except bodies. And, well... Seems you all know how to handle those. Come on, gotta find our targets."

Azdergin moved forward towards the Blast Door, stomping along to lead the way, while Chione followed. The Anubite Princess stopped however for a moment, closing her eyes and concentrating. When they opened again, she spoke out, "I can sense the presence of a powerful spirit, far more powerful than what I am used to. That's Petros for sure. He is far ahead of us and to the left. I am sure the other targets will be with him. Let us go." She moved forward, and Matros of course stayed in the rear of everyone, being the only one here who wasn't an extremely powerful magic user, and a little extra vulnerable as a result. Beyond the Blast Door was a rather large open room, seemingly a bay for storage. Still large enough for Dragons as well. What was more concerning was the type of equipment here among the storage containers. Restraints, tracking beacons, stun-guns, noxious gas canisters, syringes, strange metallic collars, and so on. Most concerning was that there was some high tech equipment in here too, like strange headsets. There wasn't much time to observe however, because the security forces in the base weren't idle. They started destroying the storage bay's contents with grenades and detonated explosives, to destroy the evidence as well as try to delay the invaders. The bombs would allow some of the gas that was supposed to be in the containers to leak, and if absorbed the fumes would caused immense drowsiness and loss of motor control.

The Director smiled, nodding her head in acceptance of Viintaasvrii's intent to keep Rezenary safe. Oilania wasn't particularly close to Rezenary, but the Anubite was still under her jurisdiction, and it reflected poorly on her for any of her agents to be harmed on the job. Still, she seemed trusting of Viintaasvrii in this regard. So, she moved on from that, and got to the business of the Boar, "Oh, we are quite aware of the risks. That is why we have taken many precautions, and been forced to take this course of action. Now, the point of our surgical strikes is speed. Our goal is to strike important Cyboar targets that are somewhat isolated. We want to put Cyboar of the defense, this way they spend more time making sure they don't extend themselves instead of attacking the Union. The Union Military can use that time to focus on fighting Omnipo, the prime foe. In addition, striking these targets will allow us to potentially interfere in Cyboar's plans. Unlike with the rest of the Confederacy, we don't really have an idea of their warplan, which is concerning. So, we want to gleam into what it may be. That is the secondary objective, attempting to figure out Cyboar's plans."

The plan put into action by Caldera's agents worked like a charm. The White Cardinal nature easily manipulated by them, even convincing her to meet with the "undisclosed nobility". The Orange Cardinal despite her shady past is actually quite good at what she does. Happily helping on stomping on the possible corruption in the ranks. Showing some remarkable intuition in sensing those of ill will. On the sidelines the Psionics experts have gathered enough information to make a solid conclusion. The 'Virus' is serving as a hybrid of a spy cam and a kill switch. They manage to detect the transmission and follow it back to Equis, most likely where Aarushi is located. Regarding on Orange past nothing is found it. One update however is Menaal is getting better. No longer needing to be connected to anything major to keep her alive beside a IV drip to give her hydration.

"No need for thanks Matros." Caelistianya responded with a smile as she went to the front of the group to serve as the sponge for any oncoming hostility. Ilunaelistianya stayed near the rear with Matros to protect the flank and act as crowd control. "You did good work in getting into those systems in a quick manner." The moon mare complimented Matros. Knowing it's always a good thing to acknowledge one efforts and praise them for it. With the group on the move, Caelistianya spoke in agreement that she can feel the strong presence up ahead. Coming into the next room, Caelistianya was the first to see the explosions going off and unknown gases being let out into the air "I'll take care of the gas!" The solar mare exclaimed as she extened a hand outward. A large translucent yellow bubble formed in front of her. The smoke and gasses began to be pulled into a vortex inside the bubble. Forming a swirling mass of the various airborne molecules before a a orange glow began to emit from within. Showing that Caelistianya was safety burning it in a controlled manner. Ilunaelistianya remained on the defensive and let her teammates take down the people in the room. Using her craft to protect them as they do so either by producing false images that only the enemy can see or producing blue energy shields over those who are getting fired upon.

"So the union does not know? Huh.' Viintaasvrii thought to himself. Now that is not to say he has hard proof that he knows what Cyboar is up to. Rather from the perspective of those who can live a long time, they can pick up on the patterns that those with a short lifespan can't see. From his experiences such as during the Dark Age he gotten a good grasp on their beliefs. The fact that Oilania admits they don't know what they are planning makes this all the more bold and risky. You must always know who you are fighting against. Otherwise their victory may come with a high cost. "We certinally need to hit fast and hard, very hard. Cyboar is not something you can obtain knowledge from without a scratch. I take it one of my teammates is skilled in this field? Speaking of which what sort of people will I be fighting alongside with?" He inquired out of interest. Likes to know who he is fighting with and not feel like they are faceless grunts. It's tragicall easy to become desensitized with the death of your brother in arms.

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:42 pm
It was quite pleasant to see their strategy work out with the White Cardinal, and of course they had a meeting set up for the Cardinal to go to, alone. The meeting was to take place in the basement of another hotel on Instabull. Not a luxury noble one like where she had her quarters, but a more simple one, out of the way. It was public enough that nobody took much notice of it, and it could easily be used by the agents as a place the White Cardinal would have to go to alone, as they could see if she brought anybody with her. But it was out of the way enough that nobody cared about what was going on inside, and so it really was the perfect place for a less than totally legal business transaction as proposed. After a short elevator ride down to the hotel's basement, cleared out ahead of time by the agents, the White Cardinal would find herself in a large, open room. Filled mostly with laundry and supply closets. The elevator left as soon as the White Cardinal stepped out, and the call button was disabled. There were people here. Sitting at a large table in the center of the room were three fully clothed individuals. The cloth was bulky, making it impossible to tell who was underneath, species or gender. The center most individual spoke soon after the Cardinal's arrival, their voice obscured by a modifier to further conceal their identity, "Welcome. Come and sit. There is much to talk about."

The Orange Cardinal meanwhile would be most helpful in the anti-corruption investigation. It revealed a lot of problems, obviously indicative of an ancient empire with ancient degrees of nepotism and corrupt officials. This was quite the effort the Emperor was undertaking to methodically cleanse the Zantines of the taint as best he could, and the Orange Cardinal's assistance was most valuable. Meanwhile, the Psionics Experts kept up their studies. They tried to observe the connection back to Equis, and they were curious as to if they could prepare a spell that could hijack the transmissions, cutting the Equis connection and instantly replacing it with another, and so give the agents control. They didn't wish to do this now, but they wanted to prepare the possibility for later. This option was studied because they didn't want a repeat of Menaal, and with control of the virus for themselves other opportunities could open up. Speaking of Menaal, that improvement was highly pleasing to Leonious, who congratulated all the doctors involved, giving them payment out of his own pockets as thanks. The work was still not done, but progress was progress.

Matros beamed with the compliments, but before he got the chance to boast, they encountered the situation. Caelistianya's quick action to dispose of the gas was successful, and the gas did not react violently to the safe burning, allowing it to be removed. Ilunaelistianya's illusions were of use as well, since with the explosions the enemy was already a bit hard pressed to see their enemy properly, and so they often ended up shooting at the illusions. With the Sisters quickly taking the enemy's steam away, Azdergin used the chance to charge forward, emitting a great roar fitting of a Dragon as he smashed forward into the enemy. The security forces stood little chance against the Dragon, and once more were either cut down or forced to retreat further into the base. There weren't many of them left at this point.

There were many doors here, as now they were in the thick of the base. Princess Chione however, focusing her efforts on tracking the spiritual signature of Petros, was able to quickly locate the right path. Matros was correct when he said he jammed all the doors, as while there were many blast doors that could have delayed their progress, all of them were jammed open, even with some obvious attempts at closing them manually. Their destination seemed to be a secondary hanger by the looks of signs, which was odd given the singular entrance the Asteroid had. They passed by other facilities, with other guards. But none of them really had any chance against Azdergin's Draconic might and Caelistianya's solar skill with her weapons, and were easily swept aside. The storage bay really had been their true gambit. The places they past by were a bit grim in of themselves. Holding cells, isolation chambers, and what looked like a torture room. Still, their destination was ahead of them. The secondary hanger was visible from afar, as was the four shuttles within it. There were people getting into two of the crafts, and they looked like scientists. In clean white garbs, rushing to get into the ship. The other two shuttles were being loaded by droids, carrying large cargo containers into them. Azdergin rushed forward determined to not let anybody escape, but as he entered the hanger he was tackled by another armored Dragon. Azulraitras Ezeri had rushed him, and with a roar the two engaged in combat.

The rest of the group had their own troubles. The great spiritual force they had sensed was present to. With a burst of phantasmal light, a figure emerged forward. There stood Petros Belisaricuras, the ancient Zantine Warmaster and Legendary Warrior of the Empire, now there in spiritual form. His voice called out, echoing slightly, but booming with an old veteran's authority, "I would insist you leave before you are struck down, you do not look like wicked folk. I cannot allow any interference in this matter. But if you are so bold and determined, then come. I will give you an honorable death." Princess Chione wasted little time in stepping forward and preparing a volley of her spiritual magic, using her head to gesture Caelistianya to move forward and engage while she prepared what she could to banish the great spirit. The Warmaster meanwhile summoned his two artifact war gauntlets, one burning with mystical fire and another with crackling lightning. Meanwhile, Matros looked to the shuttles, and then to Ilunaelistianya, "I don't have any idea how those shuttles intend to fly through solid rock and escape, but I don't think we should give them the chance! We need the people and stuff in order to figure out what this shadow branch is about. Keep them grounded, and I'll try to remotely disable them. Omnipo has a little too much reliance on their auto-pilots! But try not to kill them!" He then moved back a bit to prepare his tools away from the blast zone that would inevitably come as the battle swung into gear.

Director Oilania nodded, wishing to quickly dispel the Dragon's worries about the Union's ideas. She was quite confident in their plan, and she would show why, "Yes, have no fear. Cyboar is a very hard organization to get a proper read on. That is why we are sending along perhaps one of few who knows how to get information out of them, and another experienced in facing the Boar. In truth, you are actually the muscle of the team, so to say. You are one of few people Cyboar cannot bat away with ease, and this makes you invaluable as a protector for the two teamamates you will be taking with you. They will be here soon enough to introduce themselves, but for a basic rundown their names are Lazlo Artincat and Malcros Austerguard. Lazlo Artincat is a Boethan tech specialist, one who has dedicated their live to trying to crack the code of Cyboar. And, unlike most, one who has actually achieved a degree of success. He is the reason we even know about the locations of some of these isolated Cyboar through intercepting transmissions, and partially decrypting their encryption. He is not a fighter, but he is one of the few people who can really be expected to get some data out of the Boar on a reasonable timescale. Malcros Austerguard is his partner, a Taurus from Avalantus who was originally a member of a gang until Cyboar wiped it out. Impressively he was able to use what was left of the gang's arsenal to defeat the Cyboar Trooper who had killed the rest of them. He is the only reason Lazlo isn't dead, through the fact he has gained some experience in fighting Cyboar operatives. Not their higher level ones, mind you, but he has some understanding of Cyboar hardware. Which is essential, given that Lazlo has only ever done things remotely."

Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]] - Page 2 Empty Re: Harmonious Adventures: Diplomacy is Magic! (Iammelon/Eteru RP) [Retcon]]

Thu Aug 22, 2019 9:06 pm
The White Cardinal did as told and took a seat in the room. Still oblivious of the trap she had walked straight into. As this went down the tracing to Equis hit a roadblock due to the planet strange field that seems to prevent any tracking from going further than the stratosphere. Given the sacred nature of the world it's likely a defense mechanism against those who try to peer onto their holy lands. The psionic line is very delicate so it would require time to attempt any form of hijacking. On more uplifting news, Menaal started to stir awake.

Caelistianya was already stroding forward before she was gestured to do so. Having faith in her compatriots duel with the dragoness she set her sights on the ancient spirit of legends. "May we fight with honor." Her flaming mane surged behind her as her aura began to pour out of her like a volcano. The ground beneath her began to glow red whenever she takes a step. With her sword of flame in hand she initiated the duel with the spirit. The battle between the titans of the star and war have begun. The room shook from the mere shock waves coming from their trading blows. Air started to shimmer with heat around the combatants as they both surely give their all. As a mare who never underestimate her opponents she begins to push herself to her limit. The sword that she held in her hand became more condensed, actually becoming cold around it was heat was trapped along the edges. Concentrated along that fine line was energy reaching into the highest possible temperature known as the Planck temperature. Hotter than a supernova explosion.

"Understood!" Ilunaelistianya responded as she went to take action as intense battles were unfolding near them. With a blue glow of her horn she began to conjure not her trademark illusions but rather dark matter. Particles of dark matter came into existence beneath the craft and started to create a strong downward, gravitational pull. The landing gear would snap under the pressure and the scientists would find themselves subjected to levels of gravity that they can't stand against. Most likely prompting them to be pinned down on the floor but not enough to crush them.

Ah.

How ironic.

Their perspective on using him was not wrong. Logically speaking ancient dragons are known to be forces of nature that can turn the land asunder. Why wouldn't they use him a shield to take the heat. But to the old dragon however, he could not help but feel the universe is testing him once more. To see if he still follow the path he set out upon so long ago. For him, in his view, he wants to be the one to take the fire. To throw himself against the weight of the world and the cruel boot of reality. Meaning, he's self-sacrificial.  He doesn't fight out of duty, righteousness,  or moral value. No, he strives for the impossible ideal because it's beautiful. That by following the beauty in the ideal he can perform miracles. His philosophy can be summed up as living the life that one find beautiful and that one can feel proud of and know that nothing can be achieved perfectly but the day that their effort catches up to their desire, that moment a miracle for life will have happened. History tells about people that were called crazy and fanatical until they achieved something that is beyond the normality and life builds up on that "miracle" to create a better place for everyone. Many will not find the appeal of this viewpoint that but he find it truly inspiring and that is one of the best things that people can do, to inspire others. They inspire others to do good (Hopefully) despite not achieving the "miracle". Knowing all this the dragon of yore responds in content. "I have no issue with that. Truthfully this falls in line with how I would typically fight in a combat scenario."

At moments like this he dream of one day having a gathering with the three black dragons of Heord. Wasting the hours away as they contemplate on the wonderful concept that is philosophy. Such as the Allegory of the Cave. Imagine a cave. Now imagine a line of prisoners, chained together tightly so they cannot move their bodies or even their faces, facing one side of the cave wall. Now imagine a fire is lit behind them. What do the prisoners see? Shadows, obviously. Shadows displayed prominently on the cave wall in front of them, with the light source being the fire lit behind them. It doesn’t matter that the prisoners once saw the outside. It doesn’t matter that they once saw “reality.” What does matter is the current place of their existence: chained in front of a cave wall, with all they are able to see being the shadows in front of them. Soon enough, after staring at the same shadows for hours upon hours, days upon days, weeks upon weeks, years upon years, these illusory shadows that were once merely a mockery of reality becomes the prisoner’s reality. Now, let’s pretend that a prisoner could get out of their chains, but the price of such is excruciating pain. Most people will never pay such a price, preferring to remain in their chains, under the spell of a false reality. Of the few that try and get out, even fewer will be able to hand the pain and successfully get out. To put it simply, Viintaasvrii pondered if they are still chained to the wall with only their shadows for their reality. To continue with the allegory, even normal people just see shadows but don't really bother with the possibility to free from the chains as they would not only put them out of their comfort zone but furthermore let us fall behind other people who don't try to do this. Additionaly they would've been the crazy one no one wants to associate with. People feel so much more clever that the past people who tried to free themselves and died trying it or got free but received seemingly no benefits of which we can use in the 'real' world. For Viintaasvrii he believes in the process of trying to free oneself is what makes people mortal, what separates him from every other life form he know of. Striving for more than he is, accepting and persuing something amazing.

To summarizes he follows a path that will help others not out of duty but because is something that he can be proud of. He is proud that he saved lives who in turn were able to enjoy the beauty of life. Proud that he was able to inspire those in the darkest of times to never give up and in the end prevail. Proud that he gave nations centuries worth of splendor. Yes, he is a flawed mortal being. Yes he had suffered pain again and again. Yes he had made wrong choices that result in the loss of innocent life and have to live with that. But if he were told that he were to do it all over again, he would happily do so."I'll be able to hold the Cyboar off long enough for them to perform their tasks." Viintaasvrii the lonesome Kendaar. Once more he will set foot on the field of battle and prove his path with action.

As the White Cardinal sat down, a small device on the chair went off. It was a tiny EMP to disable anything on the White Cardinal's person. One of the Agents activated a jammer as well, to block any communications from coming in or out of the basement. The leader, still in the obscured voice, would then explain to the Cardinal that the "undisclosed nobility" they represented knew of her many, many crimes, and had acquired evidence for them. As far as they were concerned, she was a criminal. But, of course, if they wanted her head they would have already taken it. Instead, they wanted something out of her, and in return her crimes would be ignored, evidence swept away, and she may yet profit from all of this in the end. The first thing the Cardinal would have to do for this deal was explain her relations to the Aarushi, her fellow Cardinal. On the hijacking efforts, they decided they would keep their focus and take their time. They had time thanks to the Anti-Corruption Operations, and so they would use that to prepare their efforts for the delicate process of hijacking the line and taking control for themselves.

Meanwhile, back on Spursepolis, Menaal would stir awake as Leonious was speaking to some of the Psionics experts and asking for their estimations on her revival. When the Prince noticed she was waking up, he turned quickly, waving the experts away to quickly end that discussion, and then came over close to her on the medical bed. He knelt down and spoke softly, "Hey, Menaal? Are you waking up?"

Caelistianya's assault against the Warmaster was impressive, but she would see that his legends were not hyperbole. She struck with sword, and he responded with his gauntlets. He didn't hold back either, never one to get complacent against any foe. What could be observed was that Petros utilized his spiritual form, not shackling himself to acting as just a man. His movements were swift and his form changed with a thought, as the form he took shaped to his will. Caelistianya didn't need to worry too much about that becoming a problem however, thanks to Chione's support. The Anubite was an experienced Mystic herself, and whenever Petros attempted to use his own spiritual powers, they were often countered by prepared counterspells. Still, Petros held his own against the two of them, striking Caelistianya and sending bolts at Chione, or evading their attacks in the graceful dance of death. He occasionally spoke, with a tone that showed he was impressed, "I cannot say I truly expected the apparent Union the Zantine Empire now faces to have such individuals at their disposal. I understand the Anubite, but you are one that is new, northerner. I must wonder why you lend your strength to the West. You would be quite appreciated by the East if you were under the Empire's service. Perhaps if you live by the end of this, I can show you." Even then, he kept up his fight. Being a spirit, he showed no signs of tiring.

Three of the shuttles cracked quickly under the pressure, their landing gear snapping and their hulls crashing to the floor, grinding against it as they were constantly pushed down, successfully pinned. But while most were down, one shuttle was different, as was its occupants. The largest shuttle held, and three of the apparent scientists held their ground. These ones wore masks, surgeon ones, and full suits. One of them was clasping their hands together, creating a counter to the gravitational pull within the radius of the shuttle, while the other two managed to stay standing on their own. One of those two drew a larger pistol of sorts, different to the plasma arms employed by the Omnipo guards. When it fired, it shot a strange dart of sorts, that looked like a syringe with a strange purple liquid loaded into it. The third masked man snapped his fingers soon after the dart was fired, suddenly speeding it up to great speeds as it angled itself towards Ilunaelistianya's neck.

The Director accepted this short answer, but she did see a bit deeper and was amused. She was trained to watch people, and could see Viin was putting a lot of internal thought into that. Which she found interesting, but would not push him for it. "Excellent. Then I believe these missions will go smoothly despite the risks. Now then, I'd like to talk more but first we have to greet the latecomers." She pointed, and behind them another shuttle was coming into the hanger. This one landed, and put down its entrance ramp. From it emerged two figures, though one was considerably easier to see than the other. A Boethan and a Tarusu, Lazlo and Malcros. The former looked to be extremely tired, practically dragging themselves along. The Taurus seemed embarrassed by his companion because of that.

The White Cardinal was clearly not happy with the situation but easily gave in to the threat. Bitterly revealing the ironic truth about her selection to became Cardinal, Blackmail. Aarushi knew about her crimes when she was a Bishop and came forward with a deal that she won't tell anyone about her crimes if she accepts her offer to become the White Cardinal. Obviously she accepted the offer and did not have any strange occurrences with her afterwards. That and she was too distracted by indulging in her vices. With the meeting underway the researches kept doing good work on analyzing the spell. But not yet close to cracking the case.

Menaal was a bit disoriented and drowsy from the whole affair. "Ugh..." She groaned from her senses be somewhat more sensitive than normal. "What happen..." Her question felt more in general in nature. Most likely not nitpicking the prince right away. Taking a moment to see the blurry outline of her form. "Ah...Leonious...what happened?. As this occurred in any streaming advice any program will be interrupted with breaking news. After searching through the charred remains of Haga Ecus it's publicly declared that Menaal is dead. To add to this it's also reported that both the Violet and Blue Cardinal excommunicated the White Cardinal on the ground of corruption with damning piles of evidence to support their decision.

The battle was reaching levels of the absurd. The ground beneath them now glowing, white liquid metal that does not seem to hinder her footwork as she dueled with the spirit. The temperature in the small radius around them were reaching levels of heat that nothing living could ever hope to withstand it. The image of Caelistianya in her shimmering golden armor and raging flaming air that bellows behind her serves as the perfect representation of certain view of the Paresusl. Not as the harbingers of change but rather the avatar of primordial power born so long ago. So it goes to show just how powerful Petros is in comparison. Managing to scratch and and chip off armor of quality so peerless it's worth can be equivalent to a dozen tonnes of pure Arcalite ore.

Out of the corner of her eyes she glimpse her sister being struck by the dart. Having faith in that she'll resist it was time to get more serious. Up to this point she was having fun to be fighting someone worthy of being her equal in combat. Her flaming mane shift to blinding white as her aura surge tremendously. Her eyes too begin to emit white light as her strikes came with such speed that it began to flow into each other with liquid precision. Appearing as if she was swinging from multiple sides at once. Outside of the asteroid if anyone was out there, would see something odd on the system star. A large sunspot covering half the sun surface would be formed, the shape akin to Caelistianya soul mark. A sign that she is performing her greatest feat of power. Sol Invictus. Now linked to the star, Caelistianya will never tire or cease her assault for as long the sun burns. With a parry she used to moment to flind her hand outward to not the spirit but to the masked man that shot her sister. Exploding from her palm was a growing fireball of planck fire. It flames was so hot that the law of physics themselves simply cease to exist inside them. The roaring ball of heat death bloom into enough size that it could swallow the entire shuttle if not stopped.

Viintaasvrii turn to see his new companions. Suppressing the impulse to lend a hand to the tired Boethan as he knew that can be taken the wrong way when they know nothing of each other. Instead he gave a smile with a wave. "Good to meet you guys. I'm Viintaasvrii Vujaaril."
