Fragments of Angelarium [Eteru/Iammelon] [Dropped/Recton]
Sun Apr 05, 2020 5:08 pm
Leaning against the railing of the balcony connected to a room was a Ishnarian Amziel known as Abraham Zvonimir. He was currently holding a dictation recorder up to face to chat away about the day so far. Had a fun time at the local bar that morning. Played a few rounds of pool with a group of Anubite marines that he met two weeks back. With the war over a lot of men and women are either taking shore leave or were honorable discharges to retire somewhere. Good group. The archaic design of the bar added to the pleasant atmosphere. After that he took a walk around Solus. Today marked the second year of being stationed here. He was starting to get a good grasp of Iammelonian culture and customs. They are decent neighbors. No harm in exchanging pie recipes with them. Now he’s relaxing in his room at the embassy. A slow day he knew. It was healthy to have a day to wind down every now and then.
Clicking a button to stop the recording he headed backside into his room. It was for the most part spartan. All of his personal belongings were either in his various safe houses or back in the family manor on Nth. So he didn’t bring much over here beside the standard stuff. Documents, clothing, money, smartphone, and a laptop. Well and a storage box that he keeps under the bed. He pulled that out to unlock it and put his recorder into it. Closing it he put it back under the bed. With his usual log report done he went off to take a shower. He was beginning to stink yesterday so he tries to stay on top of his personal hygiene. Especially when he’s an envoy in another country. Setting down his phone nearby just in case he took his clothes off before heading inside the shower to bathe.

Below the balcony, upon the road the embassy sat, a troop of Anubite Warriors marched. The Warriors moved as an escort for a more important individual, that being Lady Ipwet Amarna; High Stewardess of the Anubite Empire and the Interim Governess of Angelarium. The Elegant Anubite Noblewoman had spent the last few years on this world, guiding reconstruction efforts in the name of the Iammelonian Union, and of course also carefully ensuring the predominance of Anubite Influence upon the people and cities. Her main goal was preparing this world to be governed in a more standard fashion of the Anubite Empire, but that would take some extra effort. The military needed to establish itself in the outer reaches to function as protectors, the local populace needed to come to accept the authority of new law enforcement agencies, the education system needed to quickly settle in so it may teach the coming generations, and finally the people themselves needed to feel like joining the three prior institutions themselves would be for the better. Never easy with newly inducted people, but the Anubite Empire had done it before. The important matter in that setting was passing on her current position of interim governess to a more permanent governor, somebody preferably from the planet itself. All so very complicated, but she felt she had done rather well, judging by how now most were at least used to the sight of an Anubite, and accepting of the smaller things like architecture and the Iammelonian language. Important first steps.
Regardless, there was more work to do, and many a small thing had to be handled. Today she was meeting with representatives, both local and far off. She had just left from a talk with an official from the Union government back on Javalus, simply ensuring that everything was up to code with the Iammelonian Union's Laws and Regulations. Which they of course were, as the laws of the Anubite Empire were entirely valid by Union Law as well. Angelarium would be an Anubite World, and so it would be compatible in the same way. Still, she supposed that somebody had to check just in case, even if that meeting lacked real substance. Now was a time for another such meeting, although one that wasn't as scheduled. She was passing the place by however, and so there was no harm in it. She sent one of her escorting guards inside the embassy, who headed upstairs to knock on Abraham's door.

Fleeting thoughts danced about as he took his shower. The hot water melts away the tension in his muscles. Scrubbing the grime off him, his thoughts drift to the outside world. It has been a cool opportunity to come in time to witness big change on a cosmic scale. Not every day he gets to see the intricacies of a polity integrating a system into their control. Even if he wasn’t the most savvy in the political spectrum he could understand and respect the importance of the things he saw so far. It’ll take a generation for the fruits of change to be truly harvested. Till then he’ll keep an eye out on their progress for as long as his superiors wish him to be stationed on this side of the pond. Not too bad of a post to spend a long while in. He has been in more stressful places. Not to mention the door to Nth is close by so he can do short trips back if needed. Mostly to comply with his living daughter's wish to visit the family manor every now and then. He loves his daughter, knows that she just wants him to feel he has a home to come to and he appreciates that gesture. But at times she makes him feel a bit too decrepit for his liking.
Turning the water off he dried himself off before doing other typical hygiene management. After all that he went to put on a dark navy blue suit coat and trousers. He was tucking in his pair of dog tags under his uniform when he heard knocking at the door. Rolling his neck to get that annoying krick out he went over to the door. Opening it to see an Anubite guard standing there. A regular sight to see by now. “How may I be of assistance?” He inquired with a friendly smile. No matter the time that passes he was still a caring soul. It felt fulfilling to use up his time in helping others. His childhood and active duty long hard wired that sort of mentality in him.

The Guard took a look at Abraham, both to quickly make sure he had gotten the right room and hadn't made a mistake and to get a look at the ambassador, as it was this guard's first time seeing him outside pictures. The guard found it weird how many Humans there were about, and why they all kept claiming themselves to be different, but he supposed it was just how they were. All the same, he nodded his head, "Yes, you may. Lady Lord Ipwet is downstairs waiting, she would like to meet with you. It would be appreciated that as soon as you are ready, you would go down to speak with her. Is this a good time?"
Meanwhile, downstairs, Ipwet found herself a nice place to sit while her guards took positions around her. She flipped open her comm unit to start checking in with the many people she delegated tasks to around the planet. After all, nobody governed alone, and there were always complications on new worlds. The other folk on the planet made that more troublesome as well, although she was quite happy that this problem was alleviated to a good degree with the acceptance of a new Protectorate for the Anubite Empire. The Athailian Empire thus could manage itself without the Anubites needing much involvement, allowing them to focus on Solus. Athailian Auxiliary Troops would also be useful in the coming times for securing more of the wilderness, and further asserting Anubite control. The Athailians could expand as they wished on the planet, as could Solus, and both expansions would ultimately increase Anubite control over the world, until eventually the entire planet could truly be declared theirs. Border disputes were much easier to handle as well when both parties involved were more closely connected, so she wasn't worried about that either. Things were lining up very well for the High Stewardess, and she felt that soon enough she would be able to hand off this governor position to a suitable replacement in a nice, smooth transition of power. And it had to be smooth, she knew all too well. The precedent had to be set, showing all those Amziel that the Anubite Empire was here to stay, and it was going to be a functional governing body. Still, now that meant dealing with some foreign relations for the other third party that she found herself dealing with. This planet liked its curve-balls, that was for sure.

Abraham doesn’t mind the questions of his race. Since in a way they aren’t wrong that he looks like a human. The species he came from did look awful like these human folk. Even being a hybrid didn’t do much to wash away that connection. In the end he felt that was for the best. Being a pure blood Ishnarian Amziel would have attracted more attention than being a common looking human. The strange sheen of their flesh were more pronounced and their overall proportions gave a strong sense of uncanny valley to those who never seen a Ishnarian Amziel. In the dark their bio-luminosity makes them appear like a humanoid jellyfish. Abraham on the other hand didn’t have such strong biological traits. Partly because he became a hybrid due to extensive transfusion and a lot of organ transplants. It was a miracle his body accepted that much modification. Then again it’s not like it was in any shape to complain about it at the time. “Of course, it’s no hassle at all. It’ll be an honor to meet the Lady Lord again.” He spoke in a formal manner. His eyes are a silvery pool to reflect the passiveness of his emotions.
If nothing else needed to be said he would head down with the guardsman. He didn’t interact with the High Stewardess much. Having patiently let her attend to much more important matters than to deal with him. For as mused before he was in no rush much like Ishnar itself. Despite the existence of different gateways that makes travel between them possible. They are too small to provide any substantial boons that both powers could yield benefits from except for knowledge. The distance between them is far too vast for any method of travel between them, viable. In a way they were like primitive tribes on the opposite sides of a sea. Aware of the other but don’t have much reason to care. All in all Ishnar is not hoping for any changes in the current status quo. Just content to keep in touch with their new distant neighbor. Thus it’s why Abraham doesn’t wish for Ipwet to consider him higher priority when she understandably has more pressing matters at hand.

The Guard nodded, responding calmly, "Right this way then, she is waiting." With that, he turned to lead Abraham to the Lady Lord downstairs, not speaking any further. The Guards of the Anubite Empire were not ones for talk, but those of the Amarna Household Guard especially so. After all, when one trades in secrets and court intrigue, it's very important that your subordinates have tight lips.
Downstairs, Ipwet was indeed not considering this meeting to be of particular note. To her, she was simply in the area, and so it was fitting to simply stop by. The High Stewardess had many things on her plate, combining the work of the planetary governor and her role as High Stewardess of the Anubite Empire, but she was all too aware of the importance of keeping smaller things in check. A little friendly visit here, a social call there, and so on. It was how she operated with the Lords of the Anubite Empire, the officials of the Iammelonian Union, and the envoys of other Iammelonian factions like the Zantines. To her, it was important to remind these people that she did not forget about them, for reasons both of being friendly and of ensuring that nothing happened without her knowing about it. The Amarna loved information after all, and there was a surprising amount of information one could gleam just from a casual conversation, if only you kept your eyes open and your ears sharp. She felt it unfortunate that she didn't have any of her family's Court Agents with her, but they were all busy. Ipwet had deployed them across Angelarium to watch over the populace and people of note, acting as her tools for early warnings of trouble. Much easier to silence a troublemaker early on rather than when they have an audience. And with the Amziel getting more and more used to the presence of an Anubite in a crowd or going shopping in the markets, her web grew and grew. She would have to recruit a few local agents however, to get in the harder to reach positions.
She broke from that train of thought as Abraham came downstairs. Lady Lord Ipwet stood up and gave him a smile, "Hello again, Abraham. Been a while since we last met, and I was in the area so I thought it would be pleasant to stop by for a chat. I trust you and your sister have both been well?" Always personal questions first with Ipwet, business came second always. Nobody liked impromptu requests for a report after all.

Abraham didn’t know much about the Amarna household. For the most part he has been learning about the general history of Iammelon and in turn Hoshizora at large. With no rush he could take the time to properly absorb the rich history. While it may seem they may interact with the Anubites the most due to proximity. They weren’t the sort to show favoritism. At least not at the start. He paused his musings when he came out into the lobby. His eyes turned into a luminous yellow. Unbeknownst to him the Amarna would surely like the fact they could read his emotions so easily. He and the rest of the Amzielean wear their emotions on their sleeves. Or in this case on their eyes. His wife takes great pleasure in the fact that the feeling of love causes the eyes to turn a luminous pink. While he sometimes wishes his wife's eyes could change color to tease her back. He wouldn’t change her brown gems for anything in the universe. So he is content with having an open heart. The Anubites would have long come to learn about the Ishnarian Amziel ‘mood eyes’. For this instance his eyes reflect the positive state of his mind. Happy to simply meet someone.
“Lady Lord Ipwet. It’s good to see you.” He greets the Anubite lord in a friendly and polite manner. Specks of pink play across his eyes at the mention of his sister. “Ah we’ve been doing well. Thank you for asking.” She’s back on the other side. After all, it’s okay to be together on their anniversaries. Work must be separated from pleasure. The embassy is meant to house diplomats. Not a vacation resort. So it was only proper to keep things professional. Otherwise he wouldn’t get anything done if his wife was with him. “I don’t mind a chat. How have you been faring?” He bounce the same question back at Ipwet.

This visible look into emotions was indeed incredibly useful for the Amarna, since it made their job easier. The eyes were already very telling in people, and so watching them was already standard practice, simply for determining factors such as truth. The changes in color just made it even more valuable to watch. For Lady Lord Ipwet, it was a good way to gauge the room and change her tactics accordingly. For Amarna Agents meanwhile, it had some more dubious uses, especially in situations such as questioning. Much easier to get information out of somebody if you could gauge their emotions more easily, and thus get them talking faster. The eyes told many things, and even more so on Angelarium it seemed.
Ipwet threw up a smile, internally happy to see that his sister was still a topic he rather enjoyed based on the eyes. A good opening topic, she noted. She nodded her head, "Excellent to hear. Always good that the loved ones are doing well, harder to focus if there's trouble back home after all. As for me, I am doing quite fine. Much progress is being made on this planet, and so my job is getting easier. I do miss my palace back home, but such is how it is with long distance work, as I am sure you know rather well! Now, while I am here it is good to ask. Any developments from your side? Interests that the Anubite Empire can help with? There is nothing we need from you right now, but of course all agreements go both ways, so if there is anything you think that needs to be brought to my attention, I am here to listen."

His eyes gradually shift to a royal blue. Relaxing into the calm environment in the room. There was no reason to be guarded at the moment from his perspective. The subtle prodding was typical. Not something he would bother holding against someone. Letting out a light chuckle before speaking. “Relations as with many things is certainly a two way street. Trust and communication requires a lot of effort to build towards.” He notes in general agreement. For two years he had been in another person's house. Came to learn quite a bit about them. So it was only fair to repay the hospitality by letting the Anubites have a look at the other other side. “Therefore it’s only right for me to divulge the general goings-on on our end.” After all, he is an ambassador. If he had come here to learn about Hoshizora and not let them do so in turn. It would make him be nothing more than a spy. “Well, for the most part things have been stable. One thing that comes to mind to bring awareness involves the United Federation of Travelers. A international community of individuals from civilized space zones brought together by a universal, timeless quest to explore and chart our supervoid which is called the Unknown Depths for good reasons. Did freelance work for them for a good twenty years. Quirky group, very meticulous and passionate in what they do. Anyway what I’m trying to get at was they have been chatting about your people and Aztecha Industries. They’re interested in getting to know you two in a personal manner. Groups that preserve and study history are something they like to befriend. Tight-knit group but they know the benefits of a collective effort is large.”

Ipwet got interested at this development, a rather odd thing to hear about but it would likely be relevant to Aztecha, and via them the Anubite Empire as well. This odd international community of explorers was curious to Ipwet, as she felt that international communities often competed for such things rather than worked together. Perhaps it was a private affair, but Anubites didn't know as much about those. Proscore and the Merchant Republics of Avalantus and Javalus likely had much better experience in these matters, since this United Federation of Travelers sounded like something a Avalantine would come up with in the name of discovering new trade routes. Although this batch didn't seem to be merchants, which made her certainly question why they existed. Anubites had a difficult time trusting other races not under their own banner claiming to want to preserve history, they usually didn't live up to standards. Still, had to be looked into. Ipwet responded calmly, not showing her thoughts on her face, "An interesting development then, a private group wanting to be more friendly with our local preservers of history and knowledge. Well, that can certainly be arranged if they would send an envoy to discuss specifics, and I am certain I can get a representative from Aztecha. Aztecha is quite happy to exchange information when they see the chance for additional partners. Hard to come across reliable sources of information, you know. So is there anybody I can talk to from this group about setting up such an arrangement?"

“Indeed so. For the most part that is generally the reason why Ishnar is bothering to mingle with Angelarium affairs. We know how much of a time saver it is to excavate ruins and have a source to explain what the relics found are.” Meaning they were here mostly because they sympathize with the Anubites dealing with so much mystery on a planet. They have spent many millennia and still do to this day in exploring the many mysteries of the Unknown Depths. “As for contacts. I still have numbers with some of the inner circle. The one to reach here would be the Blue Parallel Archivist Briawaeyasrdessirrrfailnra.” Abraham took a second or two to collect his breath from saying the name. “You know, interesting fact. The group name is somewhat the unofficial name. The official title of the group was made by one of the founding species whose vocal chords are a lot different than both of ours. The Blue Parllel Archivist is from the same species. You can see where this is going. The name is so long and hard to pronounce with our vocal chords that species similar to ours are allowed to refer to the group with easier identification. We still kept the name, historic after all.” He explained the little history nugget to Ipwet. Anubites love talking about history so he came to get used to giving as well reviving lectures. “But as I was saying. Briawaeyasrdessirrrfailnra is in charge of diplomatic affairs. I’ll get his number and forward it to you when I get the chance.” Considering he doesn’t have his phone on him. And it would feel tacky to pause the conversation to go back up to get it.
“Mmm on an unrelated note there’s something more closer to home that I should bring to your attention.” It was better for him to be the first to make the move rather than the Anubites finding out on their own. That and he is an ambassador to the Anubite Empire first and foremost. “Out during my ride I came across an individual of undeath named Richard Grimm. A good man, has a sweet adopted daughter. He settled a small community up between the Great Lakes. Quite a cozy little place.” He tried to break the news as nice as possible. Last thing he wanted was to raise too many alarm bells in the Anubite Lord.

Ipwet nodded her head in understanding, "Yes, that name is quite unpleasant on the tongue. I am hoping they have a more convenient set of names for me to use, both for their organization and that particular individual. But once that set of vocal chord issues is settled, this Blue Parallel Archivist would be an interesting individual to speak to. I'll be waiting for that number, and I can either handle that personally or directly forward it to Aztecha to talk with him. My thanks all the same." That other update was more interesting however. Ipwet's face showed only mild interest, thanks to her own training in controlling her expressions even when surprised, but internally that was quite fascinating to hear. Her mind got to work, a small community they had not been able to locate, or even notice the arrival of, was an issue. A security issue for the planet if people could arrive and set up a settlement on Angelarium without the Anubite Empire noticing, and therefore being able to stop them early. Not to mention that being an apparent individual of undeath indicated that they were some sort of undead, which was even more concerning that the Anubite Empire had not heard about this settlement up until now. This situation would have to be handled, and Agents dispatched to the Great Lakes to perform active monitoring, but first she would need a little more interest. With her still generally calm voice and expression, she responded simply, "Oh? I was not aware of more settlements on the planet, ones without permission. Rather troublesome, but I suppose if they are already set up then it would be best to speak with this undead Richard Grimm. It is after all quite important that the Empire verifies the moral character of this 'individual of undeath', for reasons that I am sure you have come to understand by now. How developed is this small community lead by the undead?"

His eyes turn to a natural brown. A hue that implies common sense and honesty. She was fairly calm but it wasn’t a hard guess to see that there are gears turning in her furry head. Having a community pop on a world you are overseeing is a cause for concern. No one likes unknown parties coming in to claim land as if it frees real estate. “That I do.” He gave a curt nod. Having had the courtesy to speak with plenty of Anubites during his stay to get an idea of their view on certain manners. “In a way I share your sentiments. While we may have differing beliefs we do treat the dead with a good deal of sanctity. So I’ll be straight with you and say there are things that gave me a bout of concern. But from what I could tell, it comes from naivety rather than anything maleficent. Not that makes it good of course.” It’s just that one sounds worse than the other. “As for development. Mmm well by our civilization scale chart I would put it between Class 0 and 1. Which basically means an isolated settlement that lives off the land that doesn’t have the infrastructure to interact with their neighbors. The ‘governmental’ building is made out of cobblestone with the surrounding structures being made from lumber. Transport is done by horsepower and their general protection consists of spears and bows overall compared to other Hoshizora civilizations. They’re not that developed.” Another aspect came to mind that he should probably mention now rather than have them find out later. “Their manner of resource use is wholly underdeveloped. Richard used magic as a substitute for anything that uses oil and gas. And even use it to do even the most mundane chores.” Magic wasn’t a bad source to rely on. But issues come when you start to over rely on it as with every fuel source. Everything is finite after all.

Ipwet was sure he realized that she had more thoughts going through her head than she directly let on. It was obvious, but it was more important to Ipwet that she kept her exact intentions masked. Never good to show all of your cards after all, that was the most basic rule in the Amarna playbook. She gave a nod, "It is good that you understand, since that means you'll also understand that we Anubites are less willing to quickly chalk factors up to naivety, or even forgive for naivety. There are very important factors at play, and not always can they be forgiven even for good people. A threat to the universe's balance is a threat that must be taken seriously, after all. As for that development, that is indeed rather poor in terms of advancement, but that is a good thing in this instance. A less immediate problem, which allows for more time to gather in-depth information. And, if they do turn out troublesome, far easier to handle without risk to civilian populations. All the same, I shall have my own agents verify this." She then got a bit more amused at that final addition, chuckling, "Ah, so ones who are far too over reliant on their ability to manipulate the winds of magic! You see that quite a bit in the records of young civilizations, particularly those that go extinct. We Anubites have seen it time and time again. It shall be fascinating to see if this undead individual manages to become an exception, or if we'll have to clean up after they encounter a major issue that magic cannot solve. Although I suppose they are lucky in this instance, as they don't have many rival and hostile civilizations nearby. Those are the usual cause for the destruction of societies over reliant on a single resource or technique. That, and internal civil wars over the resource in question."

“Of course, forgiveness is not an obligation.” He notes with a tint of nostalgia in his voice. Recalling those distant days. “I’m more of a believer in atonement overall. If they can amend their failings to reach balance then more power to them. If they can't, well, this is your house after all.” It would be naive and arrogant on his part to believe he could influence what the Anubites would do here. Sixteen gigaparsecs separate Ishnar and Iammelon after all. He had already told Richard what to do. There was nothing more that he could do for him. Not if he wished to break numerous laws and protocols. So he simply wished him the best. The gradual topic change into the general history of civilizations made him smile somewhat. It was hard not to appreciate history after all the things he did. “It will be rather fascinating to watch them. Not everyday you get to observe a society in its infancy.” He gave a nod when she went over the major causes of collapse. “Those as well the environment itself. Many societies broke a part from long periods of bad weather.” He added to the list.

Lady Ipwet was quite aware of how Abraham's hands were ultimately tied in case she decided that more aggressive action was a better idea, and thus she saw no reason to cross it out. But of course, she would not be a proper Amarna if she jumped straight to the direct option like a brute, she had plenty of levers to pull here. Abraham could help with a few of those, so she would keep her options open, "Atonement must be earned, although you are correct that it is an option. I will however do whatever suits the best interests of the Anubite Empire and the populace of this planet. I am not one to value those from outside Iammelon and the Anubite Empire over those who I am pledged to protect, after all." She decided to leave that there, with the framing complete. She nodded her head, "One bad harvest can destroy a populace, and what is a society without people to live in it? A hurricane can break both stone and bones, and a volcano can wipe away the existence of an entire settlement. Nature has many a tool to destroy a society. Of course, it is not something to be relied on, so I shall watch the developments. It seems however that you have met this Richard Grimm, enough for a conversation perhaps. You said he had an adopted daughter and that he is overreliant on magic, but what other sense did you get from speaking with them? Their personality, so to say."

He gave a nod to the speech of natural disasters that can break a society. The next question made him ponder in thought. Crossing his arms as he tries to describe the pair. “That I have. Was offered a drink at an inn. For the most part I would describe Richard as a lonely Arachain. Lack of awareness of other cultures but has a drive to learn as much he can. But I don’t believe he knows that knowledge is very different from having the wisdom to use it well. As for his adopted daughter. She’s an eccentric oddball. A thing that made me worry about them is that they know a bit of Die Ewigkeit Sorcery. Enough for the daughter to form her own Ahnenerbe.” He let out a breath of slight exasperation. Eyes flicker a royal blue to signify his calming mood. “Plainly put, that is heavy stuff. In Ishnar that brand of sorcery is heavily restricted and is not something the general population can have access to except for extremely rare circumstances.” Like the Arachain it would seem Richard had no concept of restricted knowledge either. Considering he also saw no problem in snooping around in the Ishnar Necropolis. The reason he didn’t speak out to them about it was simply due to the lack of jurisdiction. His words have little weight on Angelarium compared to his home turf. “Other than that. I believe they are honestly trying to make a home for themselves.”

Ipwet listened closely to the analysis he gave. This Richard seemed amusing, being compared to an Arachain, and seemed to make similar mistakes to them. Knowing a lot and being able to do many things is quite different to being able to apply that knowledge effectively, and to excel where it matters. She didn't think of him too much as a threat from that analysis, but she would have to verify for herself. The daughter however did seem a bit more dangerous. While Ipwet couldn't really say how useful said sorcery actually was, what made them dangerous was less the power itself and more the ability to learn such information and have the capacity to make use of it. The skill to uncover hidden information and then use it to full effect was something she, as an Amarna, had to respect. She would have to keep an eye on that one, and avoid being outmaneuvered in the information game. Ipwet noted this all for later, and then nodded, "A home for themselves is likely, but if we are to live together on this planet, they will have to come to accept some common boundaries. Both in terms of territory and knowledge. The Anubite Empire can only allow so much unsafe experimentation. That should be enough information for me to act. Unless there is anything else you believe needs mentioning before I send out my own agents for the purpose of monitoring and perhaps even contacting this settlement, of course. And if there is nothing else on that subject, anything else you would care to bring to my attention?"

“You got a good picture of the situation. I’ll leave it you.” This was her world after all. She knows what to do best. So he didn’t wish to waste any more of her time in that regard. Her prodding inquiry made him form a thoughtful look. “Mmm I was putting it off to not put too much on your plate. But I have been given the green light to lend a hand in your exploration of Angelarium. Point out possible sights of interest, send over maps detailing resources, share explanations for possible relics you might find, stuff of that nature. While Eaeireth certainly does not exist anymore; we do still possess quite a bit of information on it. Since Angelarium was terraformed to fit the Eaeireth mold. There’s not much reason to not give you what we know. You’ll benefit from it more than we would. Besides it would be a good way to see how accurate the program was to the reference data.” He dropped his arms. One hand lowering to cock on his hip in pondermeant. “Prehistoric Eaeireth is quite an interesting time period. I’m mostly wondering about if the program had accurately recreated some of the ancient wonders.” Something seems to dawn on him. Realizing something he should mention. “Speaking of, I should let you know that while the convention prohibits Welkin from having any sort of influence in someplace as far away as here. Because of the recreation there are now landmarks that connect to some Welkin spheres of influence notably Ladren, Allatu, and Ishnar. Don’t know why Chesron is here. He wasn’t a thing in prehistoric Eaeireth. I suppose it goes to show the need to cross examine to see how accurate the program was. I doubt the Necropolis is the only out of place anomaly. Anyways back to what I’m saying. Due to the presence of the landmarks they are allowed to visit here. Now from what I generally heard. House Anfauglir has no interest in interacting with Angelarium.” A bit obvious considering the distance between here and there. And among other reasons. “That doesn’t mean they will turn away from attempts from being contacted. Particularly Ishnar. The whole Tiamat fiasco had made her slip into a bit of a slump.”

With the Lich situation in hand, and something she would deal with in the near future, Ipwet changed her focus to the new subject Abraham brought up. It was quite true that the Anubites had been finding many a relic and monument on this planet, and there were certainly many more. It would be very useful to get some assistance in that regard. True, they had recruited a fair few Amziel to join the teams, which helped, but of course they didn't have too many answers. The truly ancient things would require assistance from a more useful assistant. One of those Welkin she had seen in reports from Lady Kissa, and it seemed she had an oppurtunity. Ipwet nodded her head, "I see. Well, if they are allowed to visit, then perhaps they can be of use to the Anubite Empire. This Ishnar sounds like a good one to try and talk to, perhaps we can reinvigorate her by showing her something new. See if perhaps the Anubite Empire's new sights and explorations can bring her out of the slump. We've managed it before with ancient spirits. I think then I shall be looking into that now. The question is how to contact them... Perhaps one of the monuments can help that. Thank you for the talk, Abraham. I should be letting you get back to work now."

Abraham was taken slightly aback by the forward attitude. She seemed rather interested in getting the Welkin to interact with the Empire. Not that he can blame her per say but he felt that he spoke too much in its own. He was merely saying that because Ishnar is in a mood she’s more amicable to interact. Welkin are hardly the sort to mope about. So they seek social interaction. It’s an age old medicine after all. Being of use to the Empire wasn’t what he was suggesting. However he is not a speaker for the Welkin whims. He just have to be a lot more attentive in Hoshizora to keep an eye on whoever Welkin mingles with the populace. “It’s less depression and more grumpiness. She made peace with what happened years ago. Hearing the news about Tiamat was a bit of a sore spot. But that aside, I’m sure you’ll impress me. The Anubite Empire has a good track record of achievements from what I’ve seen. Anyways I should let you be. It was a pleasure chatting.” He wishes he could help but knows he doesn’t have the knowledge she is likely looking for. Eaeireth was a planet he hardly knows about. Only reason he did know was because it was the Amzielean home world. Besides, it was best to stand back to watch these Jackals. Bidding goodbye with a wave and smile he retreated back up to his room.

Ipwet did a little curtsy, "It was a pleasure indeed. Have a good day, Abraham." With that, she let him go off back upstairs. She then turned to one of her guards, "I must return to the governor's palace for now, there's work for me to handle. The Agents need their new orders, and some monitoring needs to be prepared for these recent developments. I need you to go inform Lady Kissa that it is time to begin another expedition into the wildnerness with her team. Tell her that she's searching for any monument dedicated to Ishnar, the Mirin in particular. Go." The Guard nodded his head and dashed off. Meanwhile, the Lady-Lord smiled. She had work to do, but she couldn't help but be excited at having a new source of information to pry open for everything they knew. Or at least everything she wanted to know. Talking to a Mirin should be interesting at the very least, but she would leave the heavy lifting to Kissa. Ipwet much preferred commanding from the back. With that, she left the embassy, returning to the streets of the city as she started her trip back to the governor's planetary palace.
Soon after, Lady Kissa rounded up about four teams of Aztecha Explorers, one of which she would lead herself. She dispatched them into the wilderness, following any rumors of Ishnar activity, and following what few leads they already had. They would stay in communication with eachother at all times, and they brought weapons just in case. The teams consisted primarily of Anubite Empire Citizens, so mostly Anubites and Amurrak, as well as some Amziel recruits. With their gear collected, she gave her teams the go-ahead, and she as well as them set off for discovery.

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and she learned long ago, whatever state she may be in, therein to be content. As well cherish the canvas that came before all that much more. Perhaps it’s this mindset that lull her gaze to this distant celestial body. To fan her curiosity enough to spur her action of venturing out here. Her hand grazed over the boulder beside her. The rock had no special value or meaning. It being a rock was its value. A mass of different minerals that have been fused together into a solid lump. This too was a wonder all on its own. A sense of beauty in its simplicity. The corner of her mouth quirk up. Becoming a bit bemused at the realization of how much she changed since she last been in a world like this. Even if it wasn’t a perfect mirror image of Eaeireth, that machine had done well enough to make her almost convinced that the copy was perfect. But as one jaded and snarky soul once told her. A fake can surpass the original. With that thought she pondered if that was the root of her curiosity. To see Eaeireth grow a second time under different conditions. She couldn’t lie to herself that it wasn’t a pleasant picture. But she was reluctant due to a few reasons.
Her hand left the boulder. Eyes briefly looking up to the azure sky. A frown mar her features before she looked down from the high mountain she was on. The scenery was picturesque. Coming up with words to describe the beauty of the land before her was wasted energy. So she simply peers further into the horizon. Sensing movement of several groups. Explorers she assumes. They are like adorable children. Wandering around wide-eyed. Treating even the most mundane new thing with awe. She enjoys watching them make their way through the vast unknown. It seems it wasn't a bad idea to visit Angelarium after all. Their future is worth looking over. To watch their unique reaction to finding something. Something that one of the groups would be currently met with. They were making progress to a region of the redwood forest that the other groups were in. What made these redwoods unique to Angelarium was that the trunk were significantly larger in radius. Enough to possibly house entire families. Something that may very well have happened because they would find that some had openings a bit high up that lead to a large hollow out room. Often containing skinned fur, dried fruit, and even primitive wooden tools. A level of recreated detail that she herself was pleasantly surprised with. To think the engine would go as far to recreate how the first Amziels lived. In the very treetops, away from the fearsome predators on the forest floor. If these explorers have good eye they would spot unnatural stuff in the dense branches that formed a thick canopy overhead. Hammocks made out of leaves and branches. Small platforms. And even primitive walkways. In the general area the one group would find some fruit bearing plants that can be best described as purple apples. There were a lot of them to take and study. She knows from experience that they have a minty aftertaste and are quite healthy. A good choice for crops or syntheses new fruits from it.

Seeing these signs of early civilization, the Aztecha Teams slowed their progress somewhat, aiming to move less obviously. The signs of intelligent life, primitive and potentially red herring as it may be, had to be taken seriously by Aztecha. The company had rules when it came to primitive civilizations, as did the Iammelonian Union and Anubite Empire as a whole. They would have to try and avoid coming across any primitives if there were any uncivilized Amziel in these woodland abodes. Be they those who simply ran off into the forest, or populations that were untouched by the various alien interactions with the planet and developed on their own. Such a meeting was not part of their mission, and so they were not properly equipped to perform first contact up to regulation standards. Thus, they would attempt to avoid it, if there even was such intelligent life out here. They brought weapons, but it would be preferred not to use them. With this world recreating ancient monuments as well, it was difficult to tell, but Anubites were prime advocates of cautionary measures, just in case. Though when they could confirm there was nobody around, they could move in to record their findings. They were of course looking for signs of their true objective, but these Aztecha Teams couldn't help but record anything else they found. Pictures were taken, samples were carefully retrieved, and maps would be drawn up. One of the teams would have to be sent back so they could return the findings to a safe location for study. And that team would also take some of the Purple Apples. They would be unfortunately unable to determine the taste, since Aztecha was also smart enough to avoid direct taste-tests on unknown fruits just in case they were not healthy or even dangerous, but they could still grab a few to take back to base. Being generally unknown, the team that discovered them quickly brainstormed a name. They decided to call them Garais Fruits, based on the name of the Anubite High Lord Garai Rwim who's favorite color was purple. Regardless, while one team does go back with their findings, the remaining three continue to delve deeper.

The primitive settlements up in the trees were indeed empty. Most having been overgrown with moss and vine. They would still find trinkets here and there that slowly paint the picture of the first cultures of primitive Amzielean. Ah those were fun and interesting days. She was sure they will have a blast when they truly start to observe in the future. Pulling her distant gaze from that part of the horizon she look over to the teams who would venture further in. They would seemingly find a home here and there. Activity of alien animal life can be heard around them from the insects to birds. Hundreds of species yet to be documented. But there was one creature among the rest that stood out to them. The first sign of the exotic avian was its azure feather on the forest floor. The vane was very soft to the touch, almost fluid. And the Rachis was saturated in mystical energies. A strange sound of a wing beat could be heard overhear. In one of the tree branches sat an odd yet beautiful blue bird. It had two legs and a navy blue yet seemed to lack the right side of its body. One wing and one royal blue eye. Softly glowing blue veins were sprawled over its empty right side yet seem to be completely healthy. Another sound was heard nearby. This time the source was the same bird; only the empty side was the left. And the explorers would notice that when they fly the birds flap their wings in sync. From what they know, these are the exotic birds of the Phonix. An extremely rare species. She is curious on how they would react to it if at all. She could sense that there were quite a few nests around the area.
