Amunet-Rah’s Adventures: Sunshine Permanence [Iammelon/Eteru] [Dropped/Recton]
Sun Mar 15, 2020 1:04 am
Once more the wheel turns. The steel curtains of war finally came to a close. Peace once again falls upon the stars of Equusalem. As they always had, and always will. In a way she feels the universe ebb in a pattern almost. A repetition of similar events across the ages. This was the thought that most immortals would ponder over. But for Amunet-Rah, the Deathless Pharaoh of a Thousand Stars. Her thoughts were more directed down to Kai. Mulling over the woes of one yearning for motherhood. Having recently been in a meeting with her personal physician to talk over the plans she had for the future. If nothing else her physician was honest if a bit blunt. What she wishes is no easy feat to pull off. At this point, Heka would be the safest and less costly option. But alas her physician knew she was a stubborn mare. So she accepted her pleas and began to get to work. Amunet-Rah would need to wait for a good month for everything to get ready. Till then she was advised to keep up a healthy diet, stay in shape, and don’t do anything too reckless. She would need to stop by every now and then to give DNA samples.
That meeting had been a few hours ago now. She then went back to her fortress-palace to have some brunch at home. In one of the personal kitchens she made herself a cup of herbal tea and a plate of pastries. Bringing them over to the table she sat down and brought out her smartphone. Casually going through her alerts as she munches on her chosen food. It did not miss her how peaceful it feels at this moment. That things were tranquil enough for her to not have any present worries beside the future. Normally she would be busy going over mountains if paperwork or flying across the Enlil Sea from one planet to the other. Wartime always had stressed her out in some ways and the civil war was no exception. But that’s all on the past now. She can look forward to the future. A bright future with her husband at her side. Ah, a husband. Her arcalite wedding band softly shone under the table light. At rare times she found herself still at a loss. That this is real. After so long she finally found happiness that she dreamt of as a small filly. It truly feels so magical.

As peace returned, it was a new dawn for all of Iammelon as well. A unified government for all the Nebula, a true one at least. Amunet, with her long life, would know this was quite the historic time for all involved, to finally have one true banner to fly under for all the various peoples of the Nebula, something neither the Zantines or the Venerable Anubites had managed. While the Civil War had been intense, this fact made the air of optimism shine throughout the entire Nebula, even in the parts that still felt bitter about losing. Many had something to look forward to that they didn't have before. In that way, Amunet could know she was more connected to the common person than ever at this crucial point in history.
But of course, life still moved forward, and there were some changes. The Zantine Empire for instance recently celebrated the ascension of a new Emperor, that being Zenos Lasacris, husband to the Talmyr of the Shyrite Talmyrox. His sudden taking of the throne after his father's surprise abdication led to the separate peace that saw the Zantine Empire join the Iammelonian Union, backstabbing the Confederacy and taking zero responsibility for the Civil War, and even joining in on some of the final battles against their former allies. A situation the new Emperor was not happy about himself, as he was not a person who liked deceit, but it was ultimately the action he needed to take thanks to the machinations of his father. But, while the old Emperor no longer sat on the throne, Maximanius Lasacris was far from retired even as his age approached seventy. His was a mind of a great leader. If he were born in the prime of the Zantine Empire, he would have almost certainly gone down in the history books as one of the Great Emperors. But his career was in a different time, and he understood that. His reign was one of consolidation, purging the unloyal and setting in play motions to return the Zantine Empire to relevancy. The history books would remember his name only for his supposed failure in the Civil War, but those paying attention would know him as the one who laid the foundations for their rebirth. And Maximanius was not yet done, his great plan still had a few steps left. With the Civil War finished, and his son in position, he could move forward with the next step. Black Bishop to G4.
Amunet-Rah would receive a message, indicating that a messenger had arrived from the Zantine Empire, sent by Prince Avinarius, one of the younger children of the previous Emperor. He was known for being rather chummy with the Ialao, having a secondary home on Freeforest for vacations as well as pilgrimages, because he was also an honest adherent to the Delvitinaou faith. And apparently, he needed help with something related to that very faith. The messenger brought a letter, which was short, but told as follows,
"To the honored Caelistianya, I make this request to you in recognition of your personal abilities, capacity for negotiations, and your realm's faith. The latter being most important, for I reach out to you because Delviatu and his servants require aid from additional tendrils of his all-consuming being. The High Greenspeaker, highest of the Delvitinaou Clergy's Priesthood, is experiencing some troubles with some of his more distant portions of the faithful garden, and we need assistance from trusted people. Some discretion would also be appreciated, as this is a matter I believe that my reigning elder brother would be better not disturbed with, and especially not something that should spread among the faithful. As such, if you are willing to assist in resolving a dispute and helping to ensure peace, please come to Instabull. You may bring others, but not too many, as of course more people means more mouths to potentially let leak a sensitive matter."

A unified nebula was a concept that she had her doubts in before. Mostly originating out of jadedness in having such a long life. As much it pains her to admit she became cynical. While not as severe during those dark times the countless quarrels and wars left a permanent mark on her. In that regard it’s a great relief that she turned out to be wrong. That great things can truly be achieved if people hold faith in their hearts and passion in their eyes. Even her own people were proud of their neighbors. Many and even some from Kai went to go celebrate with other Iammelonians in the Tavern Worlds. They were happy and eager to walk alongside them towards a brighter future for all of Iammelon. Such communal spirit restored some hope in her weathered heart. That perhaps all her struggles were not in vain.
With celebrations occurring across her holdings she had looked outward to see how her friends in Iammelon were doing. The Anubites and Zantines both had their issues but seem to be coming out of it in good spirits. The former she hasn’t been able to hear much of yet but not the case for the latter. Having heard all about the historic wedding between Zenos and Myrafiora. It always gave her warm fuzzies when she saw new couples. She can tell that they are going to be happy together and ignoring the political aspect. It's the most important part for relationships. Said politics is what made her wary of the ever vigilant courting attempts from the Lasacris Dynasty before she finally tied the knot to her husband. It didn’t take much to visualize the value of an immortal sovereign in control of large swaths of space. For the glory hounds like her eastern neighbor. More often than not many sought her out for political gain. Not that she condemned them for it. It’s sadly the burden of her status.
Overall it felt nice to see signs of a return to prominence for Zantium. The reason she feels good for them is that she has a friendly relationship with them even after the Time of Strife. Having pretty much been on close terms with almost all of Lasacris emperors, even Maximanius. It was strange then to an outsider that she would seem to be closer to the Anubites and they would be right. But the reason for it was due to personal reasons. The Zantine knows that if she had to pick who to save in a pool where an Anubite and Zantine are drowning in. She would choose the Zantine. Of course she tries to stay away from such favoritism to not upset the power balance in Iammelon.
It was during her daily routine of being the revered and nigh-unapproachable Pharaoh that she met with the messenger. It was nice to be given a hand written letter. Not only did they feel more personal but also a lot less likely to be hacked. The contents got her interest when she read the letter. There was little to no room for her to decline it. Not only did she owe the Delvitinaou Clergy for all they did for her but she owe the Lasacris family to a degree. That and she’s not hard to be convinced to help Lasacris. She wrote a letter in response to give to the messenger. Saying that she’ll be at Instabull post haste. After sending him away she ponders on her options. If this needed to be low key then she might very well just go to Instabull alone. Not that she hasn’t before but this gives her more of an actual excuse to do so. Besides, when she learns more about the context of this ‘trouble’ she might call in aid. Her husband comes to mind which she’ll have to give a call anyways to let him know where she’s at. She did feel bad for not bringing him but well. Don’t get her wrong she loves her husband, he’s just not what you would call stealth.
One good thing about her fame and position is that she actually has the privilege to be ‘mobile’. Meaning she can wander about without much causing issues in Equusalem government. So much so that Equusalemite feel pride thinking that she puts faith and trust in them to always serve for the betterment of Equusalem. It was due to this that she was able to go about this. Taking a trip to Buzur to hop on her personal Zantine craft to fly to Instabull as Caelistianya. No personal guards were brought with her due to them being as zealous as Wartrikes if not more and generally because she always had visited Instabull by herself. The secretive nature of it is all the more reason to not take the formal approach.

The designated meeting place was the Imperial Palace on Instabull, the time honored center of the Imperial Family's Wealth and Prestige. But of course that first meant going to Instabull itself, an easy journey given that the routes to this important world were well-patrolled and long since well mapped out. And with the Civil War over, the cover of merchant shipping would cover Amunet-Rah's tracks. The Capital World of the Zantine Empire was unscathed by the Iammelonian Civil War, which never reached it in any truly devastating fashion. The planet's mighty defenses yet held, repelling what small incursions got close from the Union, and of course by the time they were ready to launch a true assault upon the world the Empire had already switched sides, and of course the Confederacy was in no position to strike the Imperial Heart. So its splendor held, with many of the ancient wonders, monumental achievements of architecture, and glimmering highrises that Amunet-Rah would be able to recognize over her own long history. Her shuttle was quickly authorized, and allowed to fly straight to the main Imperial Center.
But of course, all of those prior landmarks were secondary to the true center. The Imperial Palace was as glamorous as always, pristine in its upkeep. The massive complex floated in the air upon its massive, spherical foundation, which itself contained the complex mechanisms for allowing the gargantuan place to hover. But of course the Zantines allowed nothing of theirs to go without charm, and so built into that same circular hovering platform were artificial waterfalls, dropping down an ever-flowing cascade of water into a bright-blue lake below. Yet while this was a marvel of engineering, what mattered most was that which was built upon those foundations, the palace-complex itself. It was all one building, but one could be forgiven for believing it was a gathering of many. Multiple domed roofs, several great gates, and many landing pads were all built into this symbol of the Lasacris Dynasty. It was not a location that could be easily matched, for it was itself built with inspiration from Elisian designs for their own marks of imperial splendor, yet with that distinctly Iammelonian cosmopolitan touch.
Amunet-Rah's shuttle would be directed to land at one of the landing pads that would lead into one of the Southeast Wings of the Complex, that being a section that was set aside for religious purposes. It contained many rooms that would allow members of the Royal Family to privately perform religious rites, in accordance with the Secret Cult Religions of the Zantines. But as more religions were incorporated into the Empire, some of these rooms were specialized, becoming small chapels and temples for faiths such as Delvitinaou, Caladin, and even the Valorian Justice Faith, in recognition of the days in which the Empire had a Valorian Minority it needed to recognize. The landing pad and the path from it leading into the palace was highly decorated, having many statues of Secret Cult Gods lining the path.
Waiting for Amunet-Rah at the landing pad was Prince Avinarius himself. This prince was one of the old Emperor's youngest sons, and so while elder sons like Zenos were far into adulthood by this time after the Civil War, Avinarius had only recently ascended into adulthood, and the spirit of youth was clear in his wide smile. His long black hair hung down his back, and his eyes were that of a confident person. He wore purple and grey armor, standard for a Zantine Prince to wear, although notably he also wore a necklace with a small wooden talisman, which was in the shape of a tree. At his sides and surrounding the landing pad were his loyal Rangian Vanguard detachment, those loyal Taurus who had known their prince since childhood and stood now as his mighty guardians and trusted companions.

It was pleasing to see Instabull being spared from devastation. Having had many memories made here in her timeless existence. A passing skyscraper was where she once had a formal party with other lords. The shuttle going over a beautiful park that had been the prime destination for Zantine humans to woo her. That art museum in the distance was a fun experience. There were quite a few art exhibits there that she enjoyed. Snapshots like these came to her when she looked out into the passing skyline. There had been a time that she considered Instabull a retreat. Trying desperately to escape the cloud of gloom that had been suffocating for a long time. She still has those moments but for the most part she treats life with passion again. Her thoughts gave way to ponderment. Continuing the ideas of the future she was considering. A sovereign never rests when it comes to the prosperity of their domain.
In the distance the spherical palace came into view. It was an architectural marvel when she first saw it and still is even now. She was used to unorthodox construction before, back in the olden days Hebat made great cloud cities. Art is an expression of the soul and the palace was very much built to be symbolic rather than efficient. Her only critique was that the close surrounding buildings made it seem a bit boxed in. You would have to be either aerial or on the lake edge to get a good view. In comparison her palace was built on a hill overlooking the capital city in a way that at dawn Rah would rise behind. It painted the image of something eternal, distant, powerful, timeless, and out of reach of any mortal creature. Much like herself. Okay, she’ll admit that her frequent choice for company made her a bit vainglorious.
She watched the shuttle glide onto the landing pad that led into the part of the palace that she was fond of. A small respite in the sea of uncertainty. To rest from her worries on how she should appear, from how her words are construed as something holy. Such devotion can get overbearing and even dangerous. For the longer you hear something the more likely the mind starts to take it as truth. It was what made her against Tyfrondor choice of taking in the Watrike. He is so young. He doesn’t truly know what it means in the long run and she worries for him. It’s not healthy. Till then all she can do is pray. Which is why she tends to come here for services instead of her own places of worship. A place where she can be Caelistianya. This is not to say she doesn’t take pride or respect her holdings. It’s always a deep sense of accomplishment whenever she looks out into Kai cityscapes. But there is always a tinge of bittersweet to it. For they weren’t here. Nanshe would have loved to see the glories Amunet-Rah brought about.
With the shuttle landed and a ramp unfolding outward she made her way outside in her usual attire whenever she came to Instabull. A wide brimmed hat sat a bit high on her head due to her horn pushing it up a bit but not enough that it looked silly. A nice, white coat with her wings comfortably bound underneath. And her vibrant, mane that flows down her back like a waterfall. It was her normal and natural state that she keeps in even in some formal gatherings. She doesn't mind the energetic state of her mane when her body's Heka levels spike. It just makes her feel more like a sore thumb in the crowd especially when around non-Ezinu. So she had to learn how to subconsciously suppress her body Heka levels.
She flashes a warm smile. “Prince Avinarius Lasacris. A wondrous pleasure to meet you. It accolades me to be called upon for this affair.” Genuinely happy to help the High Greenspeaker in any capacity. It’s not every day she can personally be involved in something such as this due to being occupied with ruling her country. The notion of free time is a rare resource for sovereigns. Even for those who are ageless.

Prince Avinarius was clearly a bit amused by her disguise style outfit, particularly at the wide hat and the horn combo. It didn't look too silly, but it was still amusing to him to see the Caelistianya in such an outfit. The Prince had never met her before, this was their first in-person meeting, but he had heard tales from his subordinates as well as other family members over time, painting some different pictures. But besides the difference in stories, it was also the fact that she was a ruler, and a Zantine Emperor would not be caught in such an outfit in public. So, he simply found it interesting, and telling of her personal character. That made his smile wider, as that was something that made him happier that he asked her for help in particular. His tone was friendly as he responded, "And it is my pleasure to finally meet you, Caelistianya! You have quite the storied history with my family and this Empire, and so I believe you are more than capable of helping me in this matter. And of course, the High Greenspeaker believes this is also a great chance to forge deeper bonds! Sorry he couldn't meet you outside with me, he is currently inside speaking with some of his Cardinals and High Druids. Come on, let's go inside." With that, he turned to walk back towards the Palace, with some of his guards going on ahead. The other Rangians waited for Caelistianya to go ahead first, and then they would follow behind.
As the Prince walked down the path from the landing pad to the palace inside, he looked to the side, taking in the view of the city and then looking back to Caelistianya, "The urban environment is not my preferred setting, I must say. I prefer the forests, but I guess you could guess that. But Instabull and this city are special in that way. I feel at home here. The way this planet has developed is like a forest, one of metal. Within the bark of steel, life in the form of the people of the Zantine Empire. Taurus, Human, Ialao, Ezinu, and Boethan. All come here, and all get absorbed by the vibrancy of this place. Quite a special thing. Although all the same, I do enjoy my pilgrimages to Freeforest, but one day I'd like to visit your realm. And I know Envos here would like to as well!"
Avinarius gestured to the largest of the Taurus Rangians, wearing distinctive armor that displayed his rank as captain. He was a clearly grizzled fellow, with a scar on the left of his face, where a blade had cut deep, although failed to fell the Vanguard. His weapon, hung across his back right now, was a massive, two-handed poweraxe, a weapon that was so large and heavy that it was even difficult for the mighty Taurus to wield, but not for this one. And yet despite this intimidating appearance, Envos gave a pleasant smile, nodding along to his Prince, "Indeed, my lord. I have always wanted to see Ankida, I hear it is quite pleasant. Not to mention safer than the travel southwards last year."

Addressing her shared history was a nostalgic moment. It was such a loaded phrase for her. But not something she minded anymore. She was an old mare. Her life is an infinitely crowded panorama of galactic history, with its empires and its kings, its triumphs and its tragedies. As dangerous it was she tended to struggle to remember the date and time. Only to still keep a death grip on it as a result of her obsession of those days of yore. “Heh, that’s the simplest way to put it.” Once upon a time she considered her immortality a prison of life. To never die and face the eternal silence. The curse of living on, longer than anything should. Waiting. Waiting for one day, the miracle of death to take her. This dark and dangerous mindset had been for the most part gone away to give way to something more positive. To enjoy life with other people. “Zantium and Freeforest are close to my heart. I’ll admit even closer than the Anubites. The Empire had done a lot for me. So it’s only right for me to do the same. Of course, the nature of the crisis is something I take personally.” With the crown moving inside she took the cue to begin walking as well.
Her smile still grace her lips as they made their jaunt. She too looks to the city. The great skyscrapers reflecting the dusk rays of the Boshorus. “Well said, it’s a special thing to take in a sight like this. It fills me with a sense of sonder. Every lighted window a presence of a soul with their own dreams, worries, hobbies, fears, and family. An invisible monument of millions of stories. Each just as precious as the last. As you said, just like a tree. From a distance you can’t see the birds, squirrels, and the insects. Or perhaps an anthill. Millions of lives branching out to other lives ad infinitum.” Caelistianya took joy in addressing the world in a poetic manner. The rose tinted glasses were something that have helped her with her issues.
Her smile brightens with the mention of Ankida. Being one of her proudest achievements. “Ankida is a lovely world to visit. For something unique and a better sight of pilgrimage, I recommend Ziana.” While they were still engaging in small talk she felt the need to check up on the prince. “Out of compassion, I’m curious to know how you’re doing? Doing well?” There was nothing meant by her questions. It was merely what she is. The sort of person to make sure everybody is happy and comfort them if needed.

Avinarius smiled, appreciating that she felt quite the same as him about this great and old city. He had such rose tinted glasses for this world as well, which is perhaps why he could feel comfortable here despite disliking urban environments on other planets, like Avalantus or Javalus. His smile slightly faltered however as she threw out that random probing of his current emotional state. He maintained his smile, even if it seemed a bit forced now, rubbing the back of his head, "I'm fine. Just a bit stressed recently. I have quite the role to play now in this entire affair, and in the workings of matters greater than myself. But that is taxing upon my mortal mind and body. Nothing to be concerned about, however. Envos here would be quite quick to knock me out and force me to rest in the case that I foolishly overexert myself!" The Taurus gave a gruff nod of affirmation. Rangians did often see their charges as siblings, and so cared for them greatly, even if it meant more extreme measures.
Regardless, with that, they got inside. Avinarius maneuvered himself into the section set aside for Delvitinaou's followers, a small chapel of sorts. Which, due to the faith it belonged to, was also crossed with a garden. In the center a mighty oak tree sat, basking in the light of a ring of shining orbs that were built to resemble stars. In front of that tree, humming to himself, was the current High Greenspeaker himself. What he was humming was a simple prayer song, one meant to encourage growth in the tree in front of him. As the Prince and Prophet entered, he turned around with a smile on his face and his hands held out, as if offering a hug, "Welcome, welcome! The eldest of Kai's blossomed roots has finally arrived. My apologies that it must be under dire circumstances that we meet, but it is a good meeting nonetheless, in this place blessed by Delviatu, and I daresay it rather fits, considering one of Delviatu's blessed tendrils comes here of all places to aid in this time of troubles. But I know you are not here for a sermon, as much as I would prefer that. Before we get onto business, tell me, have you heard of the Artodeme?"

It was simply a friendly question, not necessarily a probe. Pleased to hear he is doing well she couldn’t reply as they already entered the chapel like room. Her smile brightened as she went to accept the offer for a friendly hug with the High Greenspeaker. This was one of the sort of gatherings that she feels most at home in. “No need to extend an apology. I always cherish these moments even under dark days. I would have liked to listen to a sermon. Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky. Trees do not preach learning and precepts. They preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life.” She took a breath before speaking again. “But you’re right. I have my responsibility to uphold.” Her voice was of content and acceptance. While there are sudden bouts of negativity. She knows that in the end, there just aren't any excuses, you've got to get the job done no matter what.
Vibrant eyes gleam with inquisitive emotion. “Artodeme? If I did I don’t remember the word. I take it this relates to the situation?” Her admission was an honest and safe answer. For a long time she held the firmest belief that she trusted her memories. That even in the span of millennia she can remember many things. But that was merely the dreams of a desperate soul in denial. Memories are recreated during recollection from a selection of emotional and sensory impressions. When one remember something, they don't actually remember it, they remember the last time they remembered it. Memory is such a malleable system. It doesn’t help that traumatic events can block the brain from recording surroundings and events properly to detach oneself or even protect the brain. For a long time, she was still in that burning room.

The High Greenspeaker was happy that his hug was accepted, as that usually didn't happen. Which made sense, people usually didn't like to hug strangers, but the Greenspeaker was just a friendly sort of person who liked giving out hugs, and so was happy when people took him up on it. Did help that Caelistianya had a good figure for hugging too. Regardless, he didn't want to keep the hug going for an uncomfortable amount of time, so he did break it soon after, smiling to her little comment about trees. Still, he transitioned his tone into a more serious one, as they now were getting to the important matters, "Then I shall explain, for it is indeed very important. You see, Caelistianya, the Artodeme are technically Iammelonian in origin. When the Zantines began to conquer the Eastern Nebula, removing Casplex in the process, a large number of minor and major nobility from the worlds they conquered as well as the ones that would inevitably be conquered all realized they would be on the chopping block when the Zantines would consolidate their power, as they ruled absolutely. As such, they decided to leave, bringing their servants and resources with them, in a mass exodus southwards. They were a very diverse lot, including Humans, Cuthians, Taurus, and even Ialao. In fact, I'd not be surprised if some of your own people were involved, or more accurately got dragged along. Regardless, they found themselves a small section of space, a few planets. But their national composition is... Unsightly. They've broken up into countless nations. Fortunately for us, our focus is on just one of those, that being the Holy City of Delpolympi. They are followers of Delvitinaou, albeit extremely zealous and aggressive ones. Their Grand Bishop, the leader of the city and society, is nominally my subordinate. And unfortunately, he is also the current source of conflict."

She gave a soft nod when he gave the time period of their origin. That was very much a long time ago. Equusalem was nothing more than Kai and the scant minor colony’s that they manage to make with Anubite aid. Also well before she started to make the diligent effort of being aware of the going ons in the nebula. There may very well have been Zantine lords who commented about the exodus but given the word held no significance to her at the time. It faded to sepia, to monochrome, and finally to static. Her somber musings pause when he goes over the power structure. Not fully understanding what he meant by ‘unsightly’ and ‘countless’. It was hard to picture it. But she did understand a part about radical worshipers. “I think I can begin to see the problem.” She spoke with calm concern in agreement. For it could mean anything. From schisms to overly harsh holy wars.

The High Greenspeaker nodded, as he could tell she could get what was about to come next, "Your worries are valid. Recently the Grand Bishop called one of that Holy City's famous crusades, and it was against another Delvitinaou worshiping country on the same planet. While I am not keen about the idea of getting involved in the politics of another nation, and certainly not those as confusing and maddening as that of the Artodeme, this action is intolerable. Especially when claimed to be in Delviatu's name! The roots of the same tree should not strike one another, as it harms the whole being. Unfortunately the Grand Bishop does not see it this way. Instead of negotiation, he desires to cleanse what he sees as heretics. This is not our way, as you can see with us making agreements with our brothers in faith in the Talmyrox. Delviatu is one with all life, and so it is quite natural for there to be some differences even between those who acknowledge the bonds of everything and everyone. Rather large net, but that is how it is with the one true God of all. But, while I would prefer to handle this myself, that is too dangerous. If I, the High Greenspeaker, clashed with the Grand Bishop of Delpolympi, a schism is inevitable, as he is not the sort to back down when he feels threatened. The faithful would have to pick sides, and inevitably Delpolympi would call yet more crusades against those who side with me. I refuse to put entire countries in danger, and so that is why I called for you. For you, Caelistianya, can act as a clearly neutral arbiter. The Grand Bishop may listen to you, since you do not carry the same danger in his eyes as I do."
The Ialao checked his pockets, and eventually took out a small comm unit. Pressing a few buttons, it soon projected the image of a planet. At first it seemed like the colors were glitching out upon the planet's surface, but one would soon realize that those were just the borders. Hundreds of them. The Greenspeaker began to explain, "This is the world of Dorcoth, the first planet settled by the Artodeme in their exodus, as well as the world the City of Delpolympi lies upon. They are located here." He zoomed in on a mountainous section of the map, highlighting a rather small country. True to its name, Delpolympi was just a city. An extremely large and presumably wealthy one, but it was still just a city, "This is where it lies. It is well protected by many defenses, its mighty walls, the terrain, and the fact that all of its neighboring countries are zealous adherents to Delvitinaou, although specifically the Delpolympi brand. Which means they are very militant. That is why I cannot afford for the Grand Bishop to feel threatened. If he did, those countries would join him, and all of Dorcoth would feel their wrath in some mad quest to purge heresy. And so, elder sprout of Kai, I beg for your aid. Do you believe you are up to this mission from Delviatu?"

Genuine surprise was apparent in her eyes when she witnessed the hologram. Temporarily struggling to comprehend all the implications. The more her thoughts settled and more she began to ponder deeply. The picture she once thought she had was changing into something else. Something much bigger that made this issue pale in comparison. Alas this was not a burden she can put on someone else. That would be too cruel of a fate. “Mm belief.” Her voice faintly rings with a melancholic tone. “I’ve had others ask me before. From outside Equusalem. Especially from the democratic crowd. ‘What right do you have to play God?’ And I told them that people were too afraid to make difficult decisions themselves. When people pray for a miracle, they're really praying for individuals ike me to make the tough choices. People worry about maintaining the high road, lamenting the unfairness of the universe. So they try to find excuses, alternatives, anything so that they can’t be responsible for the burden. When in reality you have no excuses. You have no alternative. You have no choice. And I told them that they needed to accept that. To be content with the Absurd, accept it and do it as well as you can. And that’s all I can do here. Get it done to the best of my abilities.” That was the weight of responsibility. She has no choice, no excuse, no alternative. “But anyways, my philosophical ramblings aside. I feel apprehensive that he might now welcome me warmly as well. My roots lay deep in the soil. And many bore witness to my branches over the epochs. Who knows how my legends could have changed in someplace so far away from the nebula.” Seeing the planet coordinations she could tell it was quite far away. Farthest she's ever been in her life. She hadn’t been to the far west. Durazor will certainly not like her going someplace so distant. Before she goes on this mission she’ll have to spend the day with Durazor to make up for future lost time.

The High Greenspeaker was a highly educated individual, but he was no immortal. His lifespan was about the same as any other Ialao, so he did not know how things worked with those whose lives were not limited by the years, although he did have his own rationalizations, "Life and spirit acts in mysterious ways, ways beyond the comprehensions of those who live. But while life may be diverse and full of chance, Delviatu is not one to simply create entertainment for themselves. All life has its spot in the universe, and the most unique among us often have special purposes. I feel that is the case for you, Caelistianya. To do the best you can with the abilities that have been bestowed upon you." With a smile, he then continued, "The Artodeme are indeed quite far away from our protective nebula. They live in the far South now, but are fortunately still within somewhat easy reach thanks to the Ether currents from here to there. You just need follow the path past Minos, and you will be on your way. But of course, I do not expect you to go without friends! You will not be in totally foreign shores, for I will be sending along some of my priests as well. They will not partake in the negotiations themselves, for the reasons I have mentioned, but they should be able to answer any questions you may have. And for matters more material than theological, that is prepared for as well."
The Ialao gestured back to the Zantine Prince, who was smiling. Avinarius nodded, and then began to explain, "I and my retinue will be going southwards as well. You see, some of the Artodeme Minor Kingdoms are actually trade partners and client states to the Zantine Empire, similar to how your own land once was. Although it would be an insult to make a direct comparison, as Equusalem is far more important than these petty lands. Still, the Empire has its obligations, and I will be going south to handle that. But it also means I shall be closeby to provide support in the case that you need it! I and my Rangian Vanguard will be more than happy to assist should you need us for anything, be it a peaceful matter or something that requires force, if it comes down to that. Regardless, we will not be going just yet. Please return here tomorrow, with any of your belongings you wish to bring along, as we will transport you with the Imperial Convoy, the same I will be using. But tonight, just get some good rest!"

She gave a soft smile. Knowing that the High Greenspeaker means we’ll with his words. “I suppose there are things to my uniqueness that can’t be rationally explained.” Her eyes turn to the hologram of the planet. “The other point is my words. This world carries hundreds of enclaves, city states, micro states. Countless wars must have occurred between them.” Her attention then shifted back to the Greenspeaker. “But when blood is shed in the name of Delviatu. Suddenly this unique ruler on the other side of the galaxy suddenly cares. Don’t get me wrong, I’m simply expressing that they may not be as forthcoming as one would hope. Though I will do my best, any action is better than nonaction.” It was pleasant to hear that she wasn’t going alone. Her inner council is already stressed enough in the lax security of her travels. “You’re kind. I’m sure they will be of great company. Though, I was wondering about something in the long run. If I manage to cease blood being spilt in the holy name. Of what future do you envision?” There was nothing accustionary about her tone. She was simply interested in knowing what the High Greenspeaker may want out of this.
Looking over to the Prince she smiled. Having nearby aid is always beneficial. “You’re most generous my Prince.” She then gave a soft chuckle. “Though I must say. It wouldn’t be an insult at all. Rather it would be insulting for them. For it implies that life has greater value in quantity.” It was a light hearted tease for she knew that he didn’t mean anything by it. “But with that said I should start heading back home. My husband would want to have some personal time before I head off on our expedition. I’ll certainly be here tomorrow If no distractions come up.” Said distraction usually involve her husband in some capacity. Dragons are very possessive and needy to a degree. When they become older they start to need frequent reassurance that things will be fine. And at Durazor ages it takes a while to convince him that she’ll be alright alone. Especially a place far outside the nebula.

The High Greenspeaker sighed, as he did know what she meant, but there was only so much he could do, "I know, dear sprout. You are very much correct about conflict being constant, for it is a part of Artodeme life to fight. Part of their very culture to bicker and kill their neighbors. So do not get me wrong, I am not expecting some magically warm reception, that would take a miracle. But lives are on the line, Caelistianya. More than usual, and more than in just the lands of the Artodeme. I am saddened to say that the future I am hoping for is not quite as idealistic as I would like. What I want out of this is a prevention of a deep schism. I do not expect the Artodeme to change, and I fully expect their wars to continue regardless. But Delviatu's name matters, dear sprout. What I truly want from this is the prevention of a different future that I fear. A future in which there is conflict within the faith that spreads past the Artodeme, and perhaps even here to this Nebula. Not to mention that even if it stayed within the Artodeme, nations that previously at least stayed peaceful with eachother will now strike, causing more wars, more death, and more suffering, all the while claiming Delviatu's name for it all. This I cannot allow if I have the chance to stop it!" He paused, closing his eyes and putting his hands together. Mumbling a small prayer under his breath, he returned to his calm, "My apologies for that, but this is a very important matter to me. I may not be able to change a society, but it is my role as the High Greenspeaker to guide the faithful. This is my duty, my purpose. I will not allow people to die in Delviatu's name when it can be prevented. I should return to Freeforest however, but tomorrow my priests will be here to join you. May Delviatu guide you, blossom of Kai."
After that, Avinarius's smile was maintained, not taking offense. He chuckled a bit, shaking his head, "Oh, but you misunderstand me! It is not that the life has greater value in quantity, but rather quality. Your people are much better company to keep. After all, you're one such member of those people, and I see plenty of quality here. Regardless, I shall leave off on that note, and allow you to attend to your husband. I understand quite well that spouses need to be comforted, as I shall have to do the same with my wife before the journey. But I suppose for now, farewell, and see you tomorrow! May Delviatu give you good tidings on your trip home!"

She smiled. Closing her eyes as she bowed her head. “Forgive me. It was improper of me to have pushed my worries onto you. Your duty is far more simpler and pure than mine.” She then shared a small prayer with the High Greenspeaker before beginning to take her leave. A shame they couldn’t talk longer but she knew the importance of getting home to get ready. Looking over to the prince once more she gave a smile. “You’re certainly your Father’s son. His quick wit and foresight was something that made him feel like my peer in some regards. Do bring him my warm blessings when you get the chance. But yes, this is where we part ways for now. See you tomorrow Avinarius.” With that friendly goodbye she made her way back to her shuttle. Rolling over her thoughts as she takes off into the Enlil Sea. The swirling dark ether clouds reflect her own state of mind.
She managed to get back to Kai before nightfall by using Heka to tinker around with general relativity. Otherwise she wouldn’t have made it in the tight time schedule. The rest of the evening was used for bureaucratic planning in her absence. There is a certain form of divine mandate written by her to act as a reference manual for anything that might come up. Haruspicy and foresight have been important factors to long term planning and come up with contingency to any issue that might come up. Over her lifetime she garnered enough talent that she was able to make a reliant roadmap of the future up to a decade. While she never wishes to be gone that long it never hurts to be very cautious and cover any possibility. After dealing with her viziers she checked out for the night. Heading to the personal wing where her husband was very much waiting for her.
When morning came she was almost behind schedule. It was a good thing she got up early to take a shower. Her husband slinker his way into the bathroom. Cornering her in the rather large shower. Pressing her up against the wet tile. Her core burning. Vision a haze from the heat and lust. Shivering in ecstasy. Time truly became a meaningless concept in that moment. Thankfully Durazor was mature enough to know that she has an important job to do. Letting her out of his dominating, passionate embrace to let her freshen up. Now they both manage to get out of all of their pent up need they went to enjoy breakfast together before Amunet-Rah finally has to make her leave to the shuttle. Her bags have already been packed by her lovely servants. With some last minute check ups she boarded the shuttle and sailed back to Instabull once more.

Caelistianya's husband was not the sort for worrying, but it was quite possible that she would be gone for a fair amount of time. As such, it only made sense to have a lasting departure, to make up for the lost time of the future. Needed to memorable for quite some time for both parties, after all. Regardless, he would stay behind to keep an eye on the realm while she was gone. Durazor was not one for matters of state, but he also was not one to sit idly for too long. He would find things to do until Caelistianya returned, even if they were not going to be as enjoyable as that farewell bout.
Back at Instabull, Prince Avinarius had been truthful when he said they were preparing a convoy. Their meeting location was not the palace this time, but rather the Imperial Starport nearby. A rather large location meant to service large starships, as it did right now. A batch of corvettes with a leading Frigate were all being refueled and rearmed, and supplies were being loaded into a number of trading freighters as well. The Zantines intended to make this trip southwards a profitable one, in which they went to the Artodeme to sell their goods, collect tribute from their client states, and return with a large amount of cash to add to the treasury. The military ships meanwhile were to ensure safety, and it was at the loading bay for the frigate that Caelistianya would be directed towards, as that was where the prince waited. As she arrived, she could see Zantine Legionaries loading up, as well as the large and fully equipped Rangian Vanguard. The Taurus stood by with their Prince, as they would not get aboard until he did. Avinarius approached the shuttle as it arrived, smiling to Caelistianya as she got off, "Welcome back! We'll be departing soon. I'll have the Rangians pack your bags, as well as show you to your quarters for the journey. The priests the High Greenspeaker sent are already on-board as well, and their quarters are nearby to yours. My father and brother both want me to get some command experience however, so I'll be commanding the convoy from the bridge. No rest for royalty, it does seem."

And a lasting departure it was. Her husband is such a willful drake. Aggressive, uncompromising, even on occasion loud and as stubborn as any being that she had ever met. Ah yes, he had mounted her like the mighty predator that he was. At the beginning of their married life he used to be awkward in the bedroom. But now he was much more experienced. Often bringing her to the edge of release only to have him draw it out as long as possible. Savoring how she loses her mind to pleasure. Intimacy was always a battle. There was no lying there and waiting until the climax was achieved. The desire to make their partner feel good. It made them feel proud, sexy. their quieter, more arrogant side felt proud and boastful. That side was the part of them that knew that they will never lose interest in each other. For they were each other's, now and forever.
The fresh, romantic memories of the morning stuck to her thoughts she made her way into the loading bay. Glancing at the merchants gave her the thought that she should bring home a sournivor for her husband. Her musings were put aside when she met up with the young prince. Giving him a warm, welcoming smile. “Hehehe I suppose that means I’m in your care then. Best to handle me well.” She spoke in jest. Referring to both her position and her husband. But mainly her husband. “Jokes aside my Prince. I’m sure you’ll make your family proud. I’ll pray with the others for smooth sailing.” It was a bit worrying for him to be tasked with a responsibility at a young age. She knew that they have actual lifespans. They needed to grow and prosper quickly before fading away into the twilight. Giving the prince a smile she awaits for them to start moving onto the ship.

Prince Avinarius grinned at the joke, thankfully not taking it poorly while still understanding what she meant there. He took it in good spirits regardless, nodding his head, "Oh believe me, I have every intention of making sure everything goes quite fine, and everyone stays safe. Particularly you, because I know what comes after in that instance! I have no intention of having 'became dragon food' on my tomb's mural, like old Emperor Alypin III! After all, I wouldn't want to take away his nickname of Lizard-chow!" With a short chuckle, he then nodded, "But all the same, I appreciate the prayers. After all, it never hurts to have Delviatu's guidance when in the Ether! Regardless, I shall leave you to it now. Guards, get the baggage! Goodbye for now, Caelistianya." With that, he turned to leave, with the majority of his Rangians following. However some stayed behind with Amunet, going to get her bags so they could carry them to her room. The Taurus could handle quite a bit of weight, but they were very careful with the bags nonetheless, just in case there were fragile items inside that they could accidentally threaten with their strength.
The Rangians took Amunet's bags inside the ship, placing them into one of the nicer living quarter's in the Frigate. It was the officer's barracks, and since this was a Zantine ship said officers were often members of the nobility or those favored by the nobility, and thus were expected to get nicer conditions than the average sailor's bunk. And since Amunet was an honored passenger, she was given one. Whether or not some poor officer had been pushed out and put into more humble conditions with the rest of the crew was known only to the commanding Prince, although Amunet would know via her time as Caelistianya well one thing; the Lasacris quite enjoyed humbling the Zantine Nobility. They were absolute monarchs, and their absolute power was maintained by constantly keeping the nobles down, and Caelistianya would be able to remember multiple times that she would witness a Rangian Vanguard tossing a noble out a window at the Emperor's command. Regardless, the Rangians carefully put her bags in the room, and one of the Taurus turned to her, "Would you like any assistance unpacking, ma'am? And if not, is there anything else you would like?"
Across the hall from her was the room in which the Life Priests from Freeforest were staying. There were four of them, three of which were Ialao, although the last one was actually a Drelakini. They were all sitting calmly, two of them were praying and the others were chatting. They all slept in the same room, with two bunk beds set up so each could have their own spot to sleep.

The suppression of nobility was something she certainly knew about. The power dynamic was similar to how she built Equusalem; only the gap is far wider. Beside Buzur there is no proper noble class but there are great houses and bloodlines. None of them have any special privileges of course. Her Viziers are the only group to hold weight in the government beside her. Yet they too are below her prominence. Outside of politics they are her most trusted friends. She wouldn’t have awarded them with the position if they weren’t completely loyal to her. With that thought she looked around the room after giving a friendly smile to the bovine. “Your aid up to now was most appreciated. I don’t wish to delay you from your prime duty. Unpacking won’t be a issue for me.” Giving her thanks she went about to store everything away. Taking off her hat and some layers down to a white dress shirt with slits on the back which split open to give way to her extending wings. Finally free of confinement. Her pink mane truly seems to flow down her back like a waterfall. Even passing by the hips of her cerulean skirt. As is per her mannerism she went to meet her neighbors after putting everything away. Lightly knocking on the door.

The Rangian bowed his head, and with that the Taurus left so that they may return to their Prince for new assignments, leaving Amunet to her own devices. As she knocked on the door to the room that held the priests, it took a bit to get a response. But eventually the door was opened and she was face to face with one of the priests, a brown-furred female Ialao. She then smiled at seeing the visitor, speaking with joy, "Oh, Caelistianya! Hello! Please, come in!" She stepped back to let her into the room. Notably it was a pretty simplistic room, mostly just having what was needed like the beds. But there was a standout feature, that being a potted plant on a small pedestal, acting as a little makeshift Life Chapel. The Priestess clapped her hands together, "Ah, you look just as majestic as stories have told! But I am getting ahead of myself. Meet the other servants of Delviatu that shall assist you in this task! My name is Ecla. And these are Keme, Chask, and Rasia" Keme and Chask were two male Ialao, and Raisa was a female Drelakini. Ecla then continued, "We all volunteered for this mission, answering the High Greenspeaker's call! I am hopeful to be of assistance in this task. Not just for you, but also for the High Greenspeaker. I have a debt to repay to him for taking me in when times were dark, and if I can repay that by helping guide others away from ruination then that is the life Delviatu has set out for me!"

Amunet-Rah gave a smile before hugging Ecla. In Ezinu culture it was common for servants of the same cloth to hug or if they trust the person enough. Not only was it a physiological expression but it was also beneficial to one's health. Reducing blood pressure, reducing the risk of sickness, and a mood booster. It makes hugs all the more valued in Ezinu custom. After Ecla she went to hug the rest of the group. “It’s so pleasant to meet you all. I’m certain we will nourish the garden of Dorcoth. Even if we only manage to save a handful, that’s still an extraordinary accomplishment.” She spoke in agreement. Optimistic and admittedly running off the last lingering effects of her afterglow. Sitting down next to the group she resumes her conversation with Ecla. Letting out a light laugh. “Ah, I’m sure there is a road before us. And it’s up to us to find it and bring others along. To bring them understanding that things can be better. That said, I’m looking forward to seeing Dorcoth. Have you seen its map? As a sovereign I shudder at the global logistics and mercantile system.” She joked in a whimsical manner. Feeling at ease in being a group of people such as this.

Ecla hugged Amunet back, clearly happy to return the kind gesture. Not as much a cultural thing to her, but as a rather enthusiastic life priest she enjoyed the connection with others. All part of one whole, after all. The rest all accepted it as well, since none of them saw any issue with it themselves. Raisa smiled, "Every life is of great value. Even just one saved from an early end is one person who may go on to save more, who can then save more themselves. The cycle of good deeds goes on, and that is how decay is stopped. Life only blooms from other forms of life, after all."
Regardless, Ecla happily sat down to continue the conversation, nodding along, "I have never been so far from Iammelon, so I am looking forward to it! And I have seen the map, but only an outdated version. We should check the latest version!" She took out her comm unit, displaying the image of Dorcoth's Political Map once again, and it had changed. Many of the larger blobs had been carved into, some smaller blobs were absorbed, and some big blobs broken up into many, many smaller ones. Their target destination was at least stable, but the planet was quite volatile, "Ah yep, there was an update! It must be hard being a cartographer on Artodeme worlds, having to update the map every few months! Probably pretty dangerous too! At least we're going to the more stable places, like the Zantine Client Region!" She pointed to one area of the map that had remained stable, which were all varying shades of purple. They were all small, but unlike the others seemed to be able to maintain their size and presumably strength. "Zantine Legions keeping the peace, like in the good old days."

Amunet-Rah gave a nostelgic smile. “It did take me a long time to learn about the butterfly effect.” There was a tinge of regret underneath her light hearted tone.”Haah, I think it was around the time Zantine began to decline and Equusalem becoming independent that I truly began to understand the effects of long term planning. Causality and effect. Mmmhm. Life certainly does prosper from life.” She spoke in agreement. Giving a nod to Raisa. That too was something she had to learn the hard way. Now she lives every day in atonement for the many millennia that she wasted away in her own misery. Ignoring the strife and conflicts that went on without her noticing yet. How many lives had she stolen in her petty tantrum. Succumbing herself into the madness rather than resisting it. There were no more excuses. No more dark places to hide in. She has a job to do.
Her eyes widen at the newly updated map. There is this much radical change in geopolitics in less than 24 hours? It boggles her mind. “Forget hard they must have the processing power of a quantum supercomputer to take every small detail and variable into account. I do pray that they are paid well to keep up.” She spoke in a mix of shock and humor. As well a level of amazement. “I’m having trouble imaging what it would be like to travel. I've gotten into traveling lately but never with much restriction.” Given she was a sovereign who can afford pricey exploration. She looked over to the client states before giving a small laugh to the ‘good old days’. “Stability is always a strong core of the Zantine role. I’m not suprised that they are holding well in the sea of chaos and constant change. In a way it looks like a planet sized Hoshizora.”
